I'm thinking about putting my attention span in history class to the test and writing a historical fiction fairly accurate. It'd be about Indians around the late 1800's and such, after the Civil War or something like that...
Research. Meh. I HAVE HISTORY TEACHER who'll be willing to help, I'll bet.

Psychotic Maniacal Sanity Ritwock: I've 'won' NaNo every year but the first year I tried (because I didn't really get it back then XD). In fact, the least amount I've written during November has been about 70k. I love to just... let it pour out. All the way there with you. Writing is just awesome ^-^ Especially when your pencil steals your brain and writes everything for you while your hand struggles to keep up. That's my favorite part about NaNo; it's that to the max! I think I got the hang of it, last year was a first attempt and I wasn't really sure what to expect. Hopefully, I'll get into it sooner. sweatdrop I only got half way there because I finally had motivation kick in halfway through the month >.>

Cheshire: Heh, no they didn't get mad in Starbucks. (: The other people with me didn't get mad either (maybe because they liked the fact that they were beating me xd ). I was SOOOOOOOOO tired. I couldn't keep myself awake. When we went to another coffee shop, I really enjoyed writing there more and it became one of my favorite haunts sort of speak.
I actually don't drink coffee. @______@ It's disgusting to me! The last time I had coffee, I thought it would help me stay up...but for some reason it didn't. Ah well. For the best.
I just drink tea if I'm at a coffee house. I'll try and sleep the day before. I think I can manage (I loooove sleep).

@Sapph: Totally forgot to look in this forum. xD Historical sounds like fun! If I knew more about history, I might be tempted to do one myself. It's really cool that you have a teacher that's willing to help you- it's nice to have help from someone who really knows what they're talking about. 3nodding
@Sevi: Ah, people beating you because you needed sleep? That's either genius, or just plain mean. xD At least you managed to wake up in time to go to another place!
You don't drink coffee? Well, that changes everything! xD Tea really is better for you, though I'm pretty sure it doesn't have as much caffeine. I actually don't drink coffee for the caffeine, though- I have ADD, so the caffeine ends up putting me to sleep instead of waking me up most of the time. I used to hate coffee, too, but them I was introduced to caramel frappuchinos and black coffee, and I was hooked. Not that I don't love a cup of tea every once in a while. xD
What type of tea do you like? (Sleep is wonderful and amazing- though you'd probably hear me say something along the lines of 'sleep is for the weak!' if I'm trying to drill out words. xD)

I like Earl Grey tea (from Numi) as well as Jasmine tea. Green tea is always a favorite, too. And Good Earth. (:
I'm not picky with tea, though. I'm not much of a sweet tea person but I do like it. surprised

Yay, another Earl Grey fan! I adore the stuff, but no one else tends to like it, I've found. I like making Jasmine tea when it's sunny out, and use the sun to heat the water and brew the tea. >w> Somehow it just makes it taste better! I haven't had Good Earth, though.
I love sweet tea. I actually got into it when I had bubble tea made with raspberry sweet tea. Have you tried bubble tea? My family's pretty much addicted to it.

Whoops drifted..
NaNo is less than a week away now =o
Hopefully despite all that happens at work I won't get overwhelmed and I'll be able to write what I need.. Tch holiday season.. prep/sales Dx
I have a general outline down, now that I've finished the 2nd in the trilogy xd
I write best.. well, I usually have gotten into the schedule of writing from around 9pm-2am or later heh.. many times I manage up to around 4am, so 's about 6 hours writing on average per day
I have .. food.. a lot of food usually to keep going xD; and I've gotten into drinking just ginger ale so the caffeen doesn't make me crash

Another late writer, huh? And you do this with your job? Wow… that's dedication. I would never be able to manage that! Don't you get tired?
A food that I've found is great for keeping you awake? Corn Nuts, or pretzels. They crunch so loudly, it's impossible to think of sleep! But then, it also makes it hard to think, so maybe it's not the best for Nano. xD

Depending where you live.. 4 and a half? Lol timezones always mess me up. And heh yeah, I get tired.. sometimes I just need to sleep for a day or so to get recharged.. of swap out stories for something I have more ideas for.. can't do that with NaNo, though.. or I won't rather heh.. must stick to one story..
Thanks, mer having.. more dental troubles Dx gaah this isn't going to be going very well.. this month is going to try to steal as much time from me as it can it seems.. I will officially participate in NaNo though! No more procrastinating on that..

@Chan: 4 and a half?! Oh dear, that's a scary thought- must figure out what I'm doing! xD Oh yeah, time zones- they always mess me up too, so you're not alone. One story would probably be the best idea- though I know I'm going to have one on the side for me to work on when I run out of steam. xD ADD really doesn't let you focus on one thing for too long.
Oh! Dental troubles is not happy! Are you having them looked at?

XD) Hopefully not much else will come up, but I know I have another big essay, two big pieces for my creative writing class, and a presentation to do during November! gonk And that's what's left after I've done a huge chunk of stuff before the month to give myself more time, haha.
Chan: Luckily I managed to get it done in time for a relaxing weekend of novel planning (and essay editing...) Ah, me. Sorry to hear about your dental troubles! They can cause much pain - more than you'd think. D= Get better!

@PMS: (Of course it's fine! xD A lot shorter than anything else.) Ack! That sounds really busy!! All that during November? That's crazy- they should figure in Nano for the poor suckers who decide to participate. xD Are they English classes? Maybe you could get some extra credit from talking to your teachers!

Romance? Eh. I'm kinda in that mood. And the idea I have is pretty good. ((Reading too many chick books. There's nothing else that I haven't read other than my mom's psychology books.))
