Gaia Cash? Computer Crash? It was a graveyard smash!
...
None of the offers look appealing to me, anyway. I don't particularly enjoy giving out my money or my privacy to random websites.
Gaia did a pretty poor job of this whole thing, though. It reeks of unprofessional-ism.

^ Dude. Gaia was started by a bunch of friends. It's never truly been professional. But I do understand what you mean.
I now think that Gaia should remove the whole lot of the advertisements.

Clone Yami TokioDoII Clone Yami That is true. I would do it but I don't like handing my info out. I tried it, but there's always a page that wont load or anything, so I give up when I'm almost done. which sucks. A lot of those surveys suck. But how do you like the new items? G-Team Rangers. Why are they making a spin-off of the stupid children show, Power Rangers? >.> I LOVED POWER RANGERS AS A KID AND SPD WASN'T THAT BAD! Their not that bad of items but they could be better.

The Iron Magus Here we go! Getting banned for giving false info was a myth all along, as I suspected. http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/omgaia/faqs-about-sponsored-offers-and-earning-gaia-cash/t.51090395/ Read that one near the bottom, it addresses the question directly. The worst that will happen is that you won't be able to get GC from the offers anymore. Thanks for the information TIM.

It's certainly not a gold sink. More gaia ash means more people buying cash shop items which means more cash shop items releases. More gaia cash also means that people will buy their shop items with cash instead of gold. Shop items will be worth less on the market and nobody will gold sink. Making gold worthless.
You'd have to be an idiot or on the supply side of an idiot newsfeed to think this would help the gold economy.

There were still a few people banned for giving false info.
I never actually bothered asking them what they did.
I assume they were just butthurt, and lied. Most likely banned over saying they did an add but never got their reward. Even thought they never actually did it.

You'd have to be an idiot or on the supply side of an idiot newsfeed to think this would help the gold economy. You're making some fundamental mistakes though. Even though Gaia Cash will be an important factor of the economy from now on, the most important currency will be, and always will be, gold. This is based on the fact that the marketplace, the hub of the economy, is still gold based, high priced gold items will remain at high prices that can only be obtained directly with massive amounts of gold.
Yes, users can use their Gaia Cash in the shops, but they will realize that they won't be making too much gold for their cash. My theory is that users will opt to purchase cash shop items with their cash, which in turn can be sold on the marketplace for a large gold value.
This will add a surplus of gaia cash items, greatly decreasing their value, however I still think that value of said cash items will still be greater than that of gold items being sold on the marketplace. And with more items being sold on the marketplace, the 2% tax would take even more gold out of the economy.
As for the admins releasing even more cash only items into the Gaia Cash store, that is highly possible. Or, the admins may not produce as many cash items, as a steady revenue of purchases would be going to current items.

I'm going to assume in good faith that that last comment was not, in fact, directed at a fellow agent. If it were, it would be considered flaming and worthy of an official warning as per our three-strike system. Just sayin'.

You have it kind of backwords.
There is zero new gold coming into the economy due to these offers. No arguments there.
There is also only a trickle new gold coming in when you buy a cash shop item. Aka, the RIG fail coins.
So considering there is no new gold coming it. It won't raise the price of anything. However, people buying all these EI's and RIG's and whatnot from the cashshop with gold, will in fact create an abundance of gold into the existing 2% tax sink.
More so then the gold shop items. You are also making an assumption that people will stop buying gold items with gold....which will never happen, because honestly, I don't know anyone who buys gold items with cash, unless they actually pay for their cash. (Which after two years, has proved not to be a problem...)
Added to my other point, it will create a drop in prices for these EI's if the supply suddenly skyrockets like that.
