I KISSED A GIRL...SHE LIKED IT!

Evari sighed happily and stretched her arms high up above her head, giving a strained groan as she did and blatantly ignoring the way a few boys stared at her chest as she arched her back during her stretch. That was a great night. Sure, she felt really sore after doing something she really wasn't used to doing but Evari truly felt that it was worth it. Totally worth it. She enjoyed it from start to finish. Kay was an amazing friend. She grinned and laughed as she thought back on the night before, feeling a rush of giddiness like the day before. She was so excited just from thinking about it! Evari rubbed at her neck, sighing happily again. Damn she was in a good mood. She giggled and hummed happily as she practically danced down the sidewalk on her way home, laughing when she nearly tripped at one point. It was okay! It was cool. She was fine! Nothing could ruin this mood. Nothing at all. ********, she felt so good today!

Eventually she made it home, not even noticing whether or not anyone was in the house as she made her way straight to her room. She flopped down on the bed and opened her eyes, staring up at the ceiling. Evari smirked and laughed again, stretching out across her bed. It wasn't the same ceiling but ha! What a nice view~. Ceilings were very nice to see, one of those things you forgot existed until...heh! She wouldn't mind seeing it again sometime soon, but with a few things that weren't here at the moment. One of them having dark skin, dreads and covered in scars. Evari folded her arms behind her head and closed her eyes, humming quietly to herself until she felt something strange against her skin. Huh? What was that? It felt like...ooooh! Right! She put that Jasmine girl's number in her bikini top again after she put it back on!

Oooh, wait! Evari sat up sharply and dug into her top for the slip of paper, snatching it up and reading it to make sure it was the right number and Kay hadn't switched them out when she wasn't looking. Oh, good. This was still Jasmine. And he'd promised he wouldn't weasel in and take her before Evari had had her chance at her. Even if the girl didn't take whatever bait she tried on her, she still wanted to try. But how would she go about this? Maybe the day after wouldn't be such a good idea. She was feeling a bit sore from her night with Kay...she'd...do it tomorrow. She'd spend today thinking up an excuse for her to have her number! Because Jasmine would obviously remember she gave Kay her number, not his friend Evari. A glance in the mirror distracted her for a moment, giving a gasp as she crawled across her bed to get a closer look at her neck. It...it had red marks on it! Not, like, all over it but...wh...oh ********! He gave her hickies? Damn, she'd have to let these fade before she saw Jasmine. She'd hate to see hickies on a girl she wanted to play with, so she didn't want to do the same thing! Damn...

She gave it a few days before they did fade away enough to not be noticeable, digging up the number again and sitting down on her bed. Evari held the phone in one hand and the number in the other, her heart racing wildly and her hands shaking. She was nervous...excited...but so nervous. What if the girl didn't like being called by strangers she didn't give her number to? What if this girl wasn't open minded? Evari didn't take well to rejection, she never had, and she hated when things didn't go her way. She wouldn't flip out on this girl, that would be stupid, but she would be admittedly pissed off if her first attempt was a failure. Especially because that girl was just so hot. Evari sighed and rolled her eyes. "You're being a dumbass. Just call her. You're supposed to sound embarrassed anyway, idiot." She said to herself, dialing the number and waiting. It rang...it rang...it rang...hm...how many rings did it take before it was sent to voicemail--

"Hello?" Oh! She answered! Sweet.

"Ummm..hi! Uh..my name's Evari, sorry if this is so out of the blue. It's just I was looking through some things when I found this paper with a number on it in my room and wasn't sure who it was, so I thought I'd call and find out...is...this Jasmine?" Ugh, Evari. That sounded so lame. There's no way she'd buy that! Evari pinched the bridge of her nose and mentally berated herself for that stupid introduction. She was going to laugh at her and hang up and--

"Yes it is! Evari..." It was hardly a common name. It wasn't even English or anything. Had Kay said her name? Oh! Oh s**t! He had! Maybe this would work out in her favor! Evari let go of her face and waited... "Oh! Uh, you're that girl...from the mall, right? You were that guy's friend. Kay?" Evari chuckled. Yes. This wasn't going badly so far.

"Dark skin, tattoos, dreads? Yeah, that'd be Kay...oooh I see what happened now. He came over to watch some movies and he must've dropped your number or something. Oops." Because that was totally how Evari got this number. She didn't take it as payment for being a 'good girl' and playing along. Nope. Not at all. Jasmine laughed from the other end and Evari nearly lost her breath. Wow, she had a really pretty voice. Her laugh was gorgeous.

"Awww, that sucks for him! That's okay. Now if I remember right...you're...the girl who said he was cheating on you, right?" Evari blinked, chuckling and nodding her head. This girl had a good memory. That or Evari was just that awesomely unforgettable.

...Let's go with both. "Ah ha, yeah. That was me. I was just trying to get back at him for ditching me when we were supposed to meet up, is all. Didn't work, he's a clever guy." Wait! s**t! She was making Kay look good! Nonono this was bad. she needed to be the one to look good not Ka--...she...she was laughing? Evari smiled and laid back to listen to the girl laugh, giggling helplessly. It was contagious! "I didn't mean anything by it. Surprised anyone believed it even for a second though, my acting was just awful~. At least it got his attention, right?"

"Right! I thought it was funny! I probably would've done the same thing if my friend had ditched me too." Evari smirked a bit and raised a brow.

"Even if said friend was a girl?" Jasmine paused for a moment.

"Well, yeah. Sure. It's not out of the question for a girl to cheat on a girl she's dating." She said this with a bit of shyness. That was shyness, right? That's what Evari heard? Crap, she wasn't sure what to make of that. Evari sighed mentally and rubbed her face, at a bit of a loss of where to go with this. It was such a good opportunity but she couldn't think of anything! "Hey! Why don't I make up for stealing your friend?" Evari blinked. Stealing her friend? Well, it was more Kay had stolen her and her friends but if that's what Jasmine wanted to call it then okay!

"You don't have to do that." But she wouldn't stop her if she insisted!

"Uh uh! Youuuuu are...going to come clubbing with me tonight! Gimme your address and I'll pick you up at seven?" Evari smirked for a moment. Perfect! And she barely had to do anything~. This wasn't so hard after all! Evari nodded and gave Jasmine the address, saying their goodbyes for now and then hanging up. Whoa...did...did she just set up her first date? Awesome! Wait...crap! What was she going to wear?! They were going clubbing, that was simple enough. Surely she had things she could wear out clubbing; she had a feeling it was safe to assume that it would be a club she could wear her usual style of clothing at. Eeeee! She was so excited! Evari leapt off her bed and onto her feet, tossing the phone aside and throwing open her closet. New outfit, new outfit. She needed a new outfit. One that didn't give away too much of her intentions but at the same time it needed to show off how hot she was so if this girl was interested she'd like what she saw. She eventually settled on a bright purple outfit; a halter top, a tiny mini skirt that barely reached her thighs, sheer white stockings with fishnets underneath and matching furry legwarmer. This would do! It would work at just about any club and it didn't give away too many hints.

Seven came around and Evari had already been anxiously waiting in the living room, staring at the clock and pacing. It had unnerved Tyyne who fled to her room and Xai was also rather thrown off by Evari's strange behavior. The doorbell rang and Evari hopped up off the couch, taking a deep breath to calm herself as she walked to the door. Wow! She was so excited...and nervous! Damn! She'd never felt quite this nervous before, not like this. Not because she was going out somewhere with a girl...a really hot girl. This was a first for her. She couldn't give it away though; she really had to play it cool. It's just a girl. Pretend she's Faris, Evari. You're just going for a night out with Faris. They even had the same hair color! Evari opened the door with a grin, pausing for a moment to just stare at Jasmine and...what she was wearing. It was tight, very tight, and it was short. A tiny little black dress with a strip of pink across her chest. High heels. Nothing else. A teeny tiny dress...and heels...o-oh god...she was so hot. And her hair was up, revealing her neck. She was so hot. Evari tried so hard not to blush but it was one of those reactions someone just can't control, leaning heavily on the door and smiling. Jasmine smirked a little and raised a brow. "Ah..hey!"

"Hi. You ready?" Evari nodded, chuckling as she was suddenly grabbed by the wrist and pulled from her house. "Good! Let's go, I know the perfect place!" She chirped, leading Evari to her car. It was a nice sports car, and the seats in the front were very close together. Evari sat down in the passenger seat and made herself comfortable, glancing at Jasmine as she sat down in the driver's seat. The two made small talk on the way to the club, getting to know each other. Jasmine was intrigued by Evari's glow, she hadn't noticed it at the mall in the bright light of day, but in the darkness of her car it was impossible to ignore. She didn't dislike it; in fact she thought it was pretty cool. Evari was pleased when Jasmine jokingly questioned if she really glowed all over, to which Evari replied with the soft tease of 'If you're lucky maybe you'll get to see'. It was a risk but Evari couldn't resist.

Jasmine didn't look disappointed or even upset, in fact she smirked. Though she said nothing.

They made it to the club and Evari grinned, getting out of the car along with Jasmine. Jasmine reached out and held Evari's hand, causing the girl to blush and her glow grow slightly brighter. The black-haired girl smirked again, leading her into the club when they were let in. They immediately got into dancing together, refusing the guys who tried to join; Evari refused them because they disgusted her, she figured Jasmine refused them for either the same reason or because it'd be rude to ditch the girl she was hanging out with. They danced...and they drank. Jasmine introduced Evari to some very delicious drinks with very fun names, downing a few shots before they fled back to the dance floor and danced a little more intimately. Evari was feeling very content with the alcohol in her system, her nerves having gone down thanks to it. At least they were okay until Jasmine draped her arms over Evari and danced against her that way, brushing her lips against Evari's cheek. The girl gasped softly and paused, thrown off by the sudden affection. That felt really nice, and this girl's body felt way nicer pressed up against hers than Kay's; nothing against him, just this girl was softer and a lot curvier. Jasmine didn't seem to notice or care that Evari had briefly stopped dancing since she started back up again when she got a hold of herself, wrapping her arms around the other girl's middle and sliding her hands down her back. Jasmine giggled and pressed closer to Evari, brushing her lips against her ear now. "Let's go back to my place. It's really loud here." She said into Evari's ear, waiting for her nod before the two of them made their way out of the club together. Once they were out in the fresh air Jasmine gave a cheer, clearly rather tipsy as she stopped to take off her heels before they walked to where she'd parked her car.

"You're okay to drive?" Because Evari couldn't. Jasmine laughed and waved a hand at her, grinning.

"Totally! Don't worry, I don't live far from here anyway. Only a couple'a minutes. C'mon, get in." Evari didn't need to be told twice! She climbed in and waited for Jasmine, making sure she was really okay as they drove to a large apartment building. The pair stumbled out of the car and into the building, taking the elevator up to where they needed to go. In her excitement Jasmine fumbled with the keys a moment, leaning on Evari until she got the door open finally. "Ta daaaa~! Make yourself at home, Evari." She chirped, closing and locking the door once both girls were inside. Evari walked in and looked around, having never been to anyone's house but her own...and Faris'. And Tori's. The Curio shop didn't count; Kay didn't live there. Jasmine hummed and went about putting things away, tossing her shoes aside, putting her purse on a table near the door, pulling her hair out from its updo, and fixing her dress. Evari kicked off her shoes as well, keeping everything else the way she had it.

"Nice place. Do you live alone?" Evari asked conversationally, glancing back at Jasmine who was walking up to her. Jasmine nodded.

"Mhm! I used to live with my boyfriend but we broke up like two years ago and I made him move out. Would've been too awkward, y'know? You want anything? Water? Soda? A snack?" Well that was a loaded question! Were those Evari's only options? The glowing girl blinked and merely stared at Jasmine, chuckling and scratching at her cheek as she turned her eyes away. So she knew the important things; Jasmine was single, she lived alone, she was really ******** hot, very touchy feely, comfortable with Evari from the looks of it...and really ******** hot.

"Eh, no thanks. I'm okay." Jasmine looked slightly disappointed by that answer, leading Evari around.

"Then let me give you a tour! It's not very big, but still...ummm this is the living room! The main area, basically." Jasmine began excitedly, smiling at Evari. It looked really cute! It was obvious a girl lived here. Next came the kitchen...where the bathroom was, the extra bedroom... "And finallyyyyy...my room~!" She opened the door to reveal her bedroom, turning on the light so Evari could see. Evari smiled, stepping in and looking around. Sweet. It was a nice room! Everything was neat, orderly, clean. The window had a nice view! Oooh and a balcony! And there was a second bathroom connected to the room. And the closet was huge!

The bed was the last thing Evari looked at, putting a hand on it and pressing down. "Wow! This is soft!" She did mean the texture, but the bedding itself was soft too...and it felt nice under what little weight she was putting into it. It felt comfy. Jasmine grinned from where she was still standing by the door, just watching the glowing girl wander around her room. She was certainly cute, and clearly into her. She really was cute...and it wasn't just the drinks talking.

Jasmine walked up to Evari as she played with her bed, lightly draping an arm around her hips. Evari froze, her eyes wide and her heart racing. This was what she wanted. Oh ******** Jasmine...? Evari turned her head to look at the other girl, her jaw hanging open a little. "Jasm--" She was cut off by Jasmine's lips against hers, gripping the bedding tightly and leaning into the kiss. Yes! Holy crap! She didn't even have to try! Evari broke away from the kiss and rest her forehead against Jasmine's with a soft giggle, brushing her lips against Jasmine's. Her lips were so soft, and she smelled really nice. Jasmine sighed and tugged Evari closer, gripping the girl's hips and kissing her again. Evari happily returned the kiss, her hands sliding along Jasmine's sides and tracing her curves. Jasmine shuddered, murmuring something against Evari's lips. Huh? Evari's eyes fluttered open and she reluctantly leaned back so she could find out what she said. "Come again?"

"I asked if you want to stay the night...and to answer your question, I haven't yet, so I can't do that." She smirked. Evari's eyes widened and she grinned, tugging the girl against her and giving a nod. Yes, she'd love to stay the night. Jasmine purred and tugged Evari toward the bed, pulling her up onto it. Her hands moved over Jasmine's body, causing the girl to shudder as she leaned into Evari's touches. Evari's lips trailed down Jasmine's jaw line and neck, getting as far as her shoulder before she paused. Hm...there was a dress in the way! That wouldn't do. Evari grinned and planted a deep kiss to Jasmine's shoulder, gently pushing the girl onto her back.

"You're sure you want to do this~?" Evari asked just once, moving her lips along her shoulder and back up her neck. Jasmine sighed and squirmed underneath Evari, nodding her head.

"Yes, Evari. Please stay~." Welp! That was all the answer Evari needed! She quickly silenced Jasmine with another kiss, pressing close against the girl again.

...

Evari woke the next morning in a bit of a daze, groaning softly and rolling onto her back. Yeesh, she was sore! She hadn't been sore like this since her night with Kay! Hmm...? Where was she...? Evari's eyes fluttered open, looking around and quickly reminding herself where she was; that's right, she spent the night with Jasmine. Heh. A very fun night it was. She chuckled softly to herself and rubbed at her face, turning her head to see Jasmine sleeping beside her, a smile on her face. From what she could see the girl was still naked, and she knew she was as well. Evari leaned over gently and pressed a light kiss against Jasmine's forehead, still somehow managing to apparently wake the girl since she suddenly found her lips against her own. Well good morning! Jasmine pushed against Evari to climb on top of her with a content sigh. "Well good morning!" She whispered with a giggle, kissing Jasmine again.

"Good morning. Sleep well?" Evari grinned.

"Oh, I slept amazingly. Best night's sleep I've ever had. And you?"

"I slept great...last night was fun~." Evari giggled and nodded, leaning up to kiss her once again. Jasmine gleefully returned the kiss, hugging Evari tightly. "So...breakfast?" Evari nodded.

"And then I have to go home...I'm sorry, I can't stay. But you have my number~. Call me anytime." Jasmine nodded. The two of them climbed out of bed, but not before a bit more fooling around. They didn't get dressed in any kind of hurry but they did eventually make it to the kitchen where Jasmine prepared breakfast for them both, enjoying it in relative peace...until they decided to have one more quick round before Evari left.

Jasmine finally drove Evari home in the early afternoon, saying goodbye with a kiss before walking off. Evari was grinning as she entered the house, singing softly to herself on her way through the house and to her room. Oh yes...that had been a lot of fun. The night with Kay had been amazing, she definitely wanted to do that with him again as many times as she possibly could, but damn...girls were a lot more fun.

GUITARS AND A CONSCIENCE?

Evari woke that morning like she'd been waking...a lot of mornings lately. Her eyes opened and she immediately knew: This was not her bedroom. Right, right. She met a girl last night. What was this one's name? A...Anne? No. Andrea? No...Alice! Right. Her name was Alice. Heh, like the song. Nice. Evari glanced down to see the girl was still sleeping, cuddled up against her with her arms around her and her head on Evari's chest. Evari grinned and pet her hair, yawning quietly. She was a cute little thing, huh? Of course she was! Evari only hooked up with pretty girls with pretty faces...and a nice rack. And this girl definitely had a nice set; she could feel it against her side. Hmm, it seemed like it'd be awhile until Alice woke up! Oh well, that was okay. What could Evari see from here...? Needed some way to entertain herself. Evari turned her head to the side to see what this room was like, having not really gotten too good of a look at it given the circumstances since there were more important matters at hand. Huh...this girl was into music. Right! That was how they met. Duh. At the CD store. Right.

...Oh, right. That was why Evari was having a hard time remembering. She spotted a few bottles of liquor on a nearby desk, chuckling softly to herself. So that was why her memory was fuzzy. Damn, she broke one of her own rules; don't drink so much you don't remember the night before, how could she remember she had a good time, who she was with or if she did anything she needed to correct if she drank herself stupid? Going out into the bright sunlight today was going to be lots of fun, thus Evari was in no hurry. She turned her head in the other direction, spotting a few pictures of Alice with a group of people all holding instruments. She was in a band? That was neat...what was she holding? Evari squinted, peering at the closest picture as best as she could. She had...a guitar? Oooh! That looked like a lot of fun! Evari could sing, in fact she loved to do it she was very proud of how her voice sounded, but playing guitar sounded like a lot of fun. Oooh! Guys who played guitar got laid, too! And she had a feeling they were good with their fingers...heh...that actually sounded really beneficial to Evari. Who could say no to a new hobby~? Guitars sounded nice anyway, and maybe if she had a guitar she could use it to help write her own music instead of just singing everyone else's. It'd be nice to write her own music...it could be about anything she wanted. Anything at all. If she messed it up no one would know, because for all they know it was intentional and part of the song. She could write songs for her friends. Evari smiled at that idea. Would Faris, Kay and Tori like to hear her write songs about them? Maybe Roxy would like a song too seeing how she was so cute and liked to sing Lady Gaga music, maybe having something sung to her would make her happy. Oooh and Tyyne! She could write a song for Tyyne, and a song for Xai, and-- "Mmmm~? Evari~?" Came a soft, tired voice. Evari blinked and looked down at Alice again, grinning down at her.

"Mornin', pretty lady!" Alice smiled, crawling up a little closer to press a light good morning kiss to Evari's lips, which Evari happily returned. "Mmm, that was nice. Last night was fun too." She purred, tugging Alice back down for another kiss. The girl giggled and held onto Evari, cuddling up close against her. When the kiss was over Evari sat up a bit, making no moves to get up just yet, instead merely stretching her arms up high over her head, giving a pause to watch as Alice slid her arms around Evari's middle and nuzzled her cheek against Evari's chest. She chuckled and lowered her head to kiss the top of Alice's, giving her shoulder a squeeze and looking around the room again. Where was this guitar...hm...not in her bedroom. Alice didn't seem to be letting up, which was starting to get Evari a little worried. s**t...a couple other girls had done this as well. One even expected they were going to be more than just a fling.

Evari chuckled nervously, pulling herself from Alice's grasp by climbing off the bed. "Look, Alice. I--"

"At least stay for breakfast~?" She rolled onto her back and stared up at Evari with a little pout, stretching out across the bed and arching her back a bit. Evari's eyes widened a little as she just stared, biting down on her lip and pulling at it with her teeth. Daaaaaaamn...she had a gorgeous body. Alice gave a cute little whine and kicked the blankets off herself with a deep sigh, playing with her hair a bit. Evari just about melted, climbing back on the bed with her and laying close beside the other girl.

"Fine...I'll stay for breakfast. But then I have to head home, I promised my sister I'd spend the day with her." It was a lie to Alice, but she needed to give some kind of excuse for this girl apparently. Alice gave a little cheer and hugged Evari tightly, giving her a happy little kiss. It took about an hour for them to finally get up and out of bed, and Evari looked around the apartment. She always got curious about the homes of the girls she slept with...after sleeping with them. Ooh there was the guitar. Evari's eyes stuck to it like a cat staring into a fishbowl as Alice led her through the living room into the kitchen, not wanting to look away from it but being left with no choice.

Alice blinked, having noticed Evari's attention was elsewhere. "Something wrong?" Evari blinked and tore her gaze from the living room to Alice, shaking her head and smiling as she sat down at the table in the kitchen.

"Nope! Just admiring your guitar. How long have you played it?" Evari asked with genuine curiosity, holding her head up with the heel of her hand and watching Alice wander around the kitchen. The girl beamed with pride.

"Since, like, forever! I think I was given a toy guitar when I waaas...nine? Yeah, and then I got a real acoustic when I was thirteen. Upgraded to Hatter over there when I was sixteen. He's my pride and joy~!" Hatter, huh? That was a cute name for her guitar, and Evari could see why she'd picked it. Hatter for Alice. That was pretty adorable! But she'd been playing that long, huh? Evari looked back toward the living room. "You play anything?"

Evari smirked, raising a brow at Alice. She could give a real answer or a smartass answer... "Nah, I can sing real well though. But learning guitar or piano or something sounds like it'd be fun..." She couldn't bring a piano with her though, so it'd have to be a guitar. Alice smiled even more, going about making their breakfasts. "Self taught?"

"Uh huh! Mostly. I had a teacher for awhile when I first started out, he taught me the basics. But after that I taught myself the rest. You want to learn?" Evari nodded.

"Maybe...it'd be neat..." The two carried on about the fun of playing and learning guitar over breakfast, and when Alice offered to take Evari home Evari politely declined. It was her rule; don't bring girls home, don't let them know where she lived, it would stop them from coming back looking for something from her and it protected Tyyne from having to see girls go into her room...and not leave until the next day looking satisfied and in the clothes they had been wearing the day before. Like Evari did at their homes. She did let her have her number though, her real number, giving her a kiss goodbye before she made her way out of the house to her own home

Evari hummed to herself as she walked through town, a pair of sunglasses Alice had let her keep protecting her eyes from the sun. Even with them on it was still so painful to have her eyes open more than a little bit. Owwwww. Maybe she should've asked for a ride closer to her house...maybe...ow. She sighed and stopped in front of a building to lean back against it, rubbing at her head. This was why she tried to avoid drinking too, too much. Damn hangovers, this one wasn't even that bad of one and it still hurt. Where was she anyway? She wouldn't know how to get home unless she knew where she was. Hm...this building here looked familiar...why? Evari tilted her head back to look up at it, squinting a little. Hmmm? What was that building down the street? Oh...that was the Blue Moose. She knew exactly where she was now!

Wait! The Blue Moose! Evari's eyes widened and her glow flared brightly with happiness as she pushed off the building a bit, keeping her hand on it when a wave of dizziness washed over her. Faris was there! She could go see her right now! Faris would be so happy to see her, right? And Evari was just dying to go see her best friend. And then they could catch up and go see a movie or just hang out and play on their DSes and...

...And...

Evari paused a moment to turn her head and stare at herself in a nearby window, her glow dimming at what she saw. She'd neatened it up but it was still clear her hair had been through a rough time, her makeup needed to be fixed, she looked tired even with the sunglasses on...no doubt her eyes showed that she had been drinking the night before and barely slept. Her clothes were okay, though no doubt what looked okay about them to Evari probably just...screamed what she was doing. She bit her lip and just stared at herself. She was a mess. No way could she go see Faris like this...wh-what if Faris was disgusted by the thought of the way Evari lived right now? Her stomach lurched and her heart felt tight at the thought, her other hand going to her mouth and staring at the ground. She couldn't go see her yet. Not yet...sh-she couldn't let Faris see her this way. She wouldn't let Faris see her this way. Evari lifted the sunglasses enough to wipe away a few tears before setting them back down properly, forcing herself to push away from the building again and head in the direction of home. She wanted so badly to see Rissy. So, so badly...b-but she needed time herself, didn't she...ugh. Luis had said Faris needed cheering up though, there was no way Evari could just...let someone else do that. No. Evari had to do it. She promised. Faris was hers...it was Evari who had to cheer her up. But there was no way she could do that like this.

She frowned and hugged herself as she walked home silently, the only sounds she made coming from her footsteps along the sidewalk and the occasional sniffle as she tried not to cry. She'd make it up to Faris. What had Luis said? She was into martial arts and stuff, right? The corner of Evari's mouth quirked up into a tiny smile, glancing back in the direction of the Blue Moose again. She'd get her something related to that. But what would she like? A movie? Maybe they could watch it together! And flowers...she'd definitely get Faris more flowers; no doubt the ones Evari had given her had long since died, right? And she'd liked the others so much...yeah. She'd get her flowers. But somehow that didn't seem like enough.

Evari continued on her way home, thinking quietly to herself over what she could get her most precious person.

MAKING AN EFFORT

It was October. A time of costumes. A time of candy. A time of colder weather. A time...to prepare for Halloween. Evari had women that morning in a very good and excited mood, getting dressed and ready for the day in a hurry and practically dancing her way to Tyyne's room. This would be awesome, she was going to take Tyyne costume shopping! Though that'd probably be really hard given Tyyne's body...oh well! They'd figure something out. It shouldn't be too hard, right? There had to be something she could wear. Evari pressed her ear to Tyyne's door for a moment to make sure she was asleep, wanting to surprise her first. She didn't hear anything...maybe she was asleep then! Asleep or just not home. But why wouldn't Tyyne be home? Evari hummed thoughtfully and very slowly and quietly opened the door, finding Tyyne was indeed still sleeping.

Heh. She just couldn't resist.

Evari crept into the room and closed the door behind her, walking as quietly as she could. At one point Tyyne stirred and she froze, pursing her lips closed so she wouldn't make a noise. Tyyne merely snuggled further into her pillows and sighed happily, her ear giving a little flick like it did when she was thinking about something pleasant. She must've been having a nice dream. Awwww! She almost didn't want to do this now! But...but she just had to. She couldn't not! It was too good an opportunity! She was absolutely glowing with excitement, and literally too! Tyyne was going to get so mad for this, Evari only hoped she wouldn't headbutt her in the face or something even by accident. Evari might not have thought through this plan too much...oh well! Hindsight was always fun! She continued to tiptoe closer and closer to her younger sister, eventually making it to her after a couple close calls and holding her breath to keep back a fit of giggles. She waited all of maybe a minute to prepare herself before she suddenly bent down and grabbed Tyyne's shoulders to give her a shake, practically falling on the deer girl. "WAKE UP TYYNE WAKE UP IT'S TIME TO GET UP~!" She said loudly, though she really didn't need to. The touch alone had woken the blonde whose head whipped up instantly, eyes wide and ears perked high. OhgodwhatwasontopofherohgodhadLeviathanfoundherhouseandcomehereohgodwhatwasshegoingtodoifhefoundwhereshesleptshe'dneverescapehim! She gave a cry of terror and flailed her arms, pushing her legs to try and stand up with the weight on top of her. Evari's eyes widened and she let go of Tyyne's shoulders to flop over and show the terrified deer it was just her, the glowing giving it away soon enough. "Whoa whoa whoa! It's just me, Tyyne! Are you okay?" She asked with honest concern, watching Tyyne carefully. Tyyne panted lightly and stared down at her sister, tears welling up in her eyes as she sniffed and whimpered. Sh-she'd been so scared! How could Evari do something so mean!? Evari was about to apologize when she saw how scared and upset Tyyne looked when she suddenly felt a sudden pressure on her face. What was this? Was this a slap? Felt like one...but no. Not by a hand. No. Tyyne had taken a pillow and shoved it at her face with a pout! Gah! Evari laughed after her moment and pushed the pillow away, pushing herself up to lean back on her elbows and lounge beside her sister on the floor, crossing one leg over the other. She was grinning, obviously trying not to be mad that she just got hit in the face. Be nice, Evari. Be nice. It was your fault anyway because you startled her. Be nice. Be nice. Be nice.

"I'm sorry, Tyynebug. It was just a silly joke. It's almost Halloween! Now's the time you do these pranks!" She explained, watching as Tyyne went from almost forgiving, to skeptical, to just plain confused. Halloween? What was that? Evari blinked. "What's wrong...?"

"Um...I don't...what's...what's Halloween?" Tyyne asked quietly, fully expecting the look of shock on her sister's face. Evari just stared, her eyes wide and her jaw dropped. What's...Halloween?! Holy s**t! Tyyne didn't know what Halloween was?! H-how could she--oh right, this would be her first Halloween. But still! Holy s**t! How could she...it'd been October for so long! How could she not know yet?! Maybe it was because Tyyne didn't go shopping much.

...But holy s**t, dude! This just wasn't acceptable! Not at all! Evari sat up sharply and held Tyyne's shoulders, giving the girl a bit of a start as she leaned back to try and wriggle from the sudden hold she had on her. "Only the second best holiday ever! Christmas is way more awesome, you get presents, but on Halloween you get to dress up in costumes and get free candy!" Evari explained excitedly, grinning now as she watched Tyyne's face to see what she'd think. Tyyne still looked a bit confused. Evari sighed and stood up, helping Tyyne to her feet. She'd have to find a better way to explain and what better way than to actually show her? "C'mon, Xai's been teaching me how to use that weird computer-y setting thing in the living room." She knew just what to do!

The pair of girls made their way out to the living room and Evari grabbed the board, sitting down on the couch and tapping at the board a few times. How did it...she was supposed to press a certain place, but she could never remember where. You had to hit it just right, and it was harder for Evari because she wasn't Ursontaean and couldn't read this stuff. Xai had at least made some adjustments where Evari's fingerprint would set it to English texts for her. The corner? The side? The middle? Apparently the middle worked! Evari grinned and made a noise of victory when the board lit up with keys and the monitor opened to reveal the computer, typing in a few things just as Xai had taught her. Annnnd...ah ha! The internet! Perfect~! She grinned proudly at herself and guided through the sites until she found what she wanted, bringing up a bunch of pictures and videos of the festivities. Tyyne sat at the foot of the couch where she was more comfortable. Whoa! Everyone was dressed in costume! And candy...and--wh-what was that? Was that a zombie?! When Tyyne panicked for a second Evari explained it was merely a costume and that zombies totally weren't real.

Totally weren't.

It was impossible.

Totally.

Anyway! Back to the task at hand. Tyyne was okay with the candy, she preferred healthier things but candy and sweets were always a nice treat to have every now and then. The decorations were kind of scary, the costumes could be too, and she didn't like the idea of a day where people were given an excuse to prank and scare everyone and no one would scold them for it...but the costumes looked fun. And surely Evari wouldn't let anyone hurt Tyyne? She knew she was on thin ice with her. Evari knew very well. Evari smiled excitedly down at her sister after the little lesson, glowing with delight. "Well? What do you think?"

"It looks fun! But..." Her ears drooped and Evari blinked, tilting her head a little. But? But what? "Lots of those costumes...I couldn't wear those. How would she be able to dress up?" That was a very good question, and one Evari herself had been trying to figure out. She'd just need a dress...a small dress. One that was short enough to not stretch awkwardly over that deer body of hers. Evari gave Tyyne's body a good look, humming thoughtfully.

"Fairy dresses tend to be short and cute?" Tyyne frowned a little and shook her head. Nothing wrong with a fairy but...she didn't want to just go the fairy route. They'd seen a lot of fairies, it'd be nice to be something different if possible. Evari blinked. "Don't wanna be a fairy? But...just about everything else is like what I wear. You don't wanna wear that..."

Oh, yeah. She definitely couldn't pull off her sister's...er...'look'. "Maybe...when we go shopping we can find something for me..." Evari grinned again, clapping her hands.

"You'll come shopping with me?"

"Of course. It'll be fun?" Evari gave a cheer and reached down to hug her sister tightly, giggling and nuzzling her cheek. Yay! Tyyne giggled too, returning the hug and giving her older sister a squeeze. She was so excited! Tyyne never wanted to go shopping with her! Er...well...oops, maybe she did? She just never invited her. Oops! Well now she was going to fix that! Everything was going to change. Evari wanted to change.

SOMEONE SHE CAN BE PROUD OF

Evari closed the journal with a smile, staring at the cover and giggling. It felt really good to make a promise like that! She put the book away and stretched her arms up high above her head, giving a strained groan and looking at the time. She'd go out for candy tomorrow, get lots and lots of candy. And then after that they could go costume shopping.

NO!

Evari goes out to get Halloween candy but gets pleasantly distracted by Ka--wait...what...?

WOW...

Evari stared up at the ceiling with an almost guilty look in her eyes, her blanket pulled up enough to cover her body so she wouldn't get too cold, but she didn't feel like getting dressed. Kay was gone now, off to wherever he felt like going. Home, getting that candy which was why they'd both been out in the first place...home...yeah, there was nowhere else he could possibly be. No one else he could possibly be going to. She frowned, her vision of the ceiling suddenly getting blurry. She felt bad. Why did she feel bad? Nono. She should be feeling satisfied. Kay always made her feel good, and she felt really good while he was here and when they were having sex...but now he was gone...and she was alone in her empty room. Her empty, silent, and suddenly incredibly lonely room. Evari sat up and held the blanket over her chest, leaning back to support herself on one hand as she stared at her door. Any second now Kay would come back and ask for her forgiveness for that horrible filthy lie he tried selling her yesterday. Wh-what was it again? Something about a girl...haha no, that was impossible. Impossible. It couldn't happen. It wouldn't happen. Then why did she feel so awful? She was angry. She wanted to punch something. She wanted to scream. She wanted to...she wanted to cry. She was sad. No...no, it was more than that.

She was lonely.

She wiped a few tears from her cheeks and gave her room another look around, suddenly hating everything she saw. It wasn't that she hated Xai's house, she thought it was very interesting and it was something she was used to, but it...it wasn't her. She couldn't paint the walls, she couldn't hang anything unless Xai approved of the spot, and then it had to be something she could hold up with tape or an approved adhesive...she really couldn't fault Xai for that though since every inch of the house was essentially a giant computer, but the whole room just wasn't her. She needed a room she could make her own. Or maybe she just needed someone she could share it with. Evari's heart sank. Yes, she was lonely. She was incredibly lonely. Maybe this was another reason Evari never brought anyone to her house for sex; it was for more than just Tyyne's sake, it was for her own as well. Was this how the girls she slept with felt? No, they always left on good terms. She never forced them to do anything they didn't want to do; it had been what Kay had done for her their first time, he promised he wouldn't do anything she didn't want him to do, and she liked that rule...so she kept it. So then why was he doing something she didn't want him to do? She looked toward the door again and frowned, hugging her knees to her chest and resting her head on them.

Now she just felt like the worst. Kay probably stayed because he wanted to, yes. Because they were friends. Because that's what friends could do! They could share beds and sleep at each other's houses, and they could hold each other, they could even snuggle up...she did it with Faris, she did it with Victoria. Was that it? Could only girls do it? No, because she hadn't come here with the intention of making Kay sleep with her. It really hadn't been her intention at all! She honestly did want to just...be with Kay, hang out with him, do friend things. Because they were friends. She adored Kay. She loved him like she loved Faris and Victoria. So then why did she feel so bad? Was it because she had been the one to get things going? She wouldn't have been mad if he said no! Disappointed, most assuredly, but mad? No...she seemed incapable of staying mad at Kay. Hell, she didn't seem to stay mad at any of her friends for very long. Why? Why didn't she stay mad at them if she truly was angry and hurt? Oh, wait...she knew why.

Evari didn't have many friends. Hell, she was surprised by what few she had. She knew why she could never stay angry at them if they upset her. It was because she was scared. Scared to be alone. Like if she upset them too much they would leave her forever and possibly hate her, and then she'd be alone. Her heart twisted painfully and she whimpered, burying her face into the sheet against her knees and doing her best to keep the tears back. She hated crying, it made her feel weak and vulnerable; these were awful things to feel. Sadness, loneliness, weakness, vulnerability, shame...they sucked. She never wanted to feel them, not ever, and yet she kept feeling this way over and over and over. People just kept doing things that triggered these feelings. But...she was taking her friends for granted, wasn't she? Her hands slid up to bury in her hair on either side of her head, clenching her fists and fighting even harder against the sobs shaking through her. It was a losing battle, really. She was the worst friend ever, why did any of her friends like her? She was bratty and childish and stubborn and selfish and pushy and bossy and...and just...how could they stand her?! Even just the very notion that they had someone else to care about and give their time and attention had her in hysterics. She couldn't lose any of them; she didn't even want to share them in the slightest. They were hers. They were hers first. Xai and Kay and Faris and Victoria and even Tyyne, they belonged to her and no one else. But...but that wasn't true anymore, huh? Victoria had babies...hers and Kay's, though they were babies Kay didn't even want; and she thought she was the selfish one, huh? Tyyne had her friends and her garden, she was sure Tyyne had a lot of friends by now that girl was just the sweetest and most caring little thing she'd ever seen, even if she was easy to fluster. Kay had...Xai even had someone. What was his name? She'd heard her mention it a few times now...uhhh...Davan? Devin? Don...Donovan! His name was Donovan. She always seemed to have her own sort of glow about her whenever she heard his name or talked about him, Evari had seen him pick her up for dates a couple times too; he looked like a good enough guy, but he was still taking away her Xai. Even Evari had noticed it...lately the house was becoming emptier and emptier, even Tyyne spent her time away from the house after tending to her garden, and Evari had been doing her best to spend time with Tyyne and show her she really was trying to make an effort. She didn't even like being home when she wanted to be home anymore, it was too quiet and lonely. She needed to get out of it...but she just couldn't be alone, she didn't want to be alone.

Maybe if she stopped hooking up with girls? No, she couldn't do that. Being with them made her feel wanted, sometimes even needed! They made her feel good, and she liked that feeling. And they always seemed so disappointed when she said she had to leave...it meant they wanted her to stay, right? They wanted more time with her? Well, why did they want more time with her while her own friends and her own family would rather be with someone else? Who knew she did this? Kay, Victoria...maybe Xai, Tyyne had said she noticed weird things about Evari but she didn't understand them...did Faris know? Oh, god she hoped Faris didn't know. She desperately didn't want her to know, to see, to find out even an inkling of how she spent her time these days! She felt like such a whore. That thought seemed to break her, finally giving up in trying not to cry and just sobbing into her knees. That's what she was! She was a whore! Oh god Kay must have been so disgusted with her now, what if he didn't want to be her friend anymore? Did he think they could only be friends if they could have sex now? D-did she make it look that way? ********! ********! ********!

This time Evari threw the journal and the pen instead of putting them away properly, pressing her hands to her face as her shoulders shook uncontrollably. Hers, they were hers. No one else was allowed to have them. She flopped over and rolled onto her stomach, burying her face into one of her pillows and letting out a loud scream; thankfully the pillow muffled it enough that no one outside the room would notice. Kay wasn't here, she could do this now. She could cry. She could scream. She could break down finally. Evari couldn't lose her friends...she just couldn't. She didn't want to share them; not with their children, not with their...their...

Evari screamed into her pillow again, breaking down into a fit of sobs immediately after.

Evari sniffed and wiped at her eyes, putting her hand over them and just sitting there with the journal sitting on her lap. Her shoulders shook for a moment and she whimpered, putting the pen down and putting her shaking hands on her face for a minute. She needed to regain her composure. After what felt like hours she finally wiped at her eyes and closed the journal, opening a small cabinet in her bedside nightstand and tossing it in there. She'd be okay...she'd be okay...

She'd...she'd be okay...

Whimpering again, Evari turned and curled up on her side, pulling her blanket above her head and hugging one of her pillows tightly against her.
