Jewlet looked up as her childish smiled showed its self for a few seconds. "Your very welcome." She put her head back down and nodded. "Yes, sir." She said not quite sure what to think at the moment. "Thank you." She said as she walked through the doorway. She looked at him and said, "If there is anything you need me to do, just tell me, Sir Grant." She placed her hands at her side. She had gone back to herself most people saw. Her mind wonder a little bit, but not to far.

Amanae strolled through the halls, feeling as though she was floating. For the first time in a week, she was completely free. No chaperones, no lady's maids, no silent and severe guards.
It didn't hurt her mood to be in such a beautiful place. It was so different from the palace she'd grown up in. Her home had been a multi-tiered structure that stretched across hundreds of ancient trees. The whole thing had been constructed of flowing tendrils of wood so pale that it seemed to glow in the dark. This castle was so... solid. Where she was used to wood, there was stone, which might have been intimidating and cold if it had not been for the wide, arching windows. Since they were not in the middle of a forest, the sunlight streamed in unhindered.
After passing through several rooms, she finally found a door that led out to the upper part of the courtyard. A passing page hurried over to pull it open before she could get there, and then held it open for her, his eyes firmly on the ground. "Your Highness," he said respectfully.
She smiled. "Thank you." Poor boy. His ears were big even by elven standards. She paused, eyeing the sunlight longingly, and then turned back to the boy. "What is your name, child?"
His eyes stayed on the ground, but she saw his shoulders tense. "Aldir, Highness, son of Lord Endren."
"I hate to bother you, Aldir, but if I gave you two silver pieces, would you be able to show me around the palace a bit later?" The boy looked up, startled. His eyes were the same blue as the bottom of a flame. She smiled reassuringly. "I don't want to get stuck with a giggling lady I'll have nothing in common with. We would both end up miserable."
"B-but-- Your Highness--" Aldir suddenly realized that he was looking her in the eyes, and hurriedly turned his face back toward the floor. "I can't--"
"You could show me all the places that I actually want to see, like the shooting range and the library. In return, you would get out of some of your page lessons." He looked up again, his expression less cautious. Her smile widened. "Does that sound like a deal?"
"Yes, Your Highness," the boy said eagerly, "You'll have to request me, though; my masters would never believe me if I told them."
She nodded. "I'll place the request. See you soon!" WIthout thinking, she winked; Aldir immediately turned bright red and looked at the floor again. Pressing her hand over her mouth to keep from laughing, she walked out into the courtyard.

Grant followed Jewlet out into the courtyard just in time to see a young lady that he had never seen before enter from another door. Grant walked past Jewlet and over to his solders who where about to start their run. "Hold up men." Grant shouted, "Huddle up." Grant when to the center of the courtyard and waited for the men to come over. Grant looked at Jewlet. "In my office there is a stack of papers on the desk. Bring me the one that says urgent." With that Grant motioned Jewlet away.

Jewlet saw the lady out of the corner of her eye. 'She must be the princess.' She stopped as she saw Grant walked past her. Resting her thoughts away, she crossed her arms. 'This is quite a long day.' She wanted to yawn, but held it back. She looked over at Grant as he spoke to her. "Yes, sir." She said with a bow and quickly went to get the paper. She lifted up her dress to make it easier to walk. Once she got to Grants office, she looked for the stack of papers. She sighed and started the search.

After giving Gon and the rest of the Knights a drink, Niro wiped his head around after Grant's bellowing. He had an expression on his face the read 'I didn't do it'! Once he realized that they were just being called over, he sighed a breath of relief. "For a second, I though I was in trouble again". Fallowing orders, he ran over towards Grant. There's a lot of commotion today. I guess this is expected for the upcoming event. He stood at he end of the line, not sure exactly where his place was. But no doubt Grant will correct this. Hopefully he won't yell at me again. I wonder what what's going on?

Grant started to pace. "Listen up men. There are some dignitaries in the castle which means that we have to be on our top guard. I'll distribute the orders later but for now the dignitaries want to examine the troops."

All the knights, including Niro responded with a "Yes sir!" His eyes shifted towards the others in line. They were tall, strong man. All wearing suits of armor with the royal symbol on the chest. Niro couldn't help but to feeling small. The shortest man in the group was 5'9 and here he was at a pitiful 5'7. He looked over towards Grant. He was no slouch either. And if that didn't intimidate anyone, his determine eyes would make anybody second guess themselves.

Jewlet finally found the paper she was told to get. She set it a side and staked the other papers neatly. Taking the paper with 'Urgent' written on it, she left the office. She took a slower pace this time thinking this mite be something that was need, but a way to get her away for a little bit. She shook her head hoping it wasn't that way. She stopped as something caught her attention, but she didn't dare look right at it thanking it would disappear. She went on and reached Grant. She waited calmly and then asked. "Is this the paper you wanted?" She held it out to him.

Sitting atop the castle wall, watching the castle courtyard with his red eyes and white hair that glimmered slightly from the light that came from the sun. It was here on the castle wall where he would practice his violin in preparations for dinner every week. Today Alexander was distracted by the gathering of knights in the courtyard; the noise they were making disrupted Alexander's practice. Feeling that he could no longer regain his composure, Alexander decided it best to call it quits for now till the noise was done. Tou often played instruments with a combination of physical and magical force, making their music sound perfect if performed correctly, Tou were always born of royalty when both parents were Tou since the word poor or poverty never usually is in the Tou vocabulary. The only Tou born not within royalty are the Impure Tou who was born from a non-Tou mother. Normally two Tou would combine their magic in concentrated force to create a magical sphere that served somewhat like an egg. Alexander was born the regular and those sold into slavery by Tou Law. Alexander was actually in his late fifties and had been a slave till he reached the castle and was offered a job for his musical abilities. Though he always wished for the wealth his father had, it was a hard reality that Alexander would forever be stuck a minstrel in this castle.
Using his natural born powers of levitation, Alexander glided from the wall's edge to the wall's base then continued down the stairs. Alexander didn't like to attract attention to him and so he often tried to limit the use of his powers other then when it was necessary. The steps down the wall were a bit harder for him to walk down due to his obvious Tou trait of youth. All Tou stop physically aging when they reached five years old and show signs of aging through hair color and eye color; red eyes and white hair being the final stage. When he reached the bottom of the stairs, two barrels were blocking his path somewhat. More inspection of the barrels showed that they had water in them. Alexander was quite thirsty from practice, but couldn't reach a cup and he certainly didn't want to get stuck in the barrel. Seeing if he waited, Alexander could simply use his magic to get a drink after everyone left; he only reserved the use of his magic abilities for the royal court at dinner time as entertainment.

"Yes thank you." Grant replied as he reached out for the paper. "I have a report here about some pretty big robberies in town and they have asked for some assistance from the castle. I figured this is the perfect time to let the rookies have a go at it. Gon, I'll let you handle this one. It's important that we maintain a good relationship with the villages so don't screw things up. Got it?" Grant handed the paper to the Lizardman. "You leave immediately. As for everyone else. partner up and train with each other until told otherwise. No one is to leave the courtyard until told to do so. That is an order." With that Grant walked back over to Jewlet. "Thank you ma'am." Grant smiled a bit as he waited for the men to go off and start to practice. Once they left he asked. "Miss Jewlet, mite you get me some food from the kitchen and , if you'd like, would you join me for lunch over there?" Grant pointed to a stone circular table in the courtyard underneath a tree.

 Jewlet nodded her head. 'Hm. Not as safe as it use to be.' She sighed and quietly stood there. She looked at Gon and wished him luck. She looked at the knights and watched and then turned to Grant when he spoke to her. "You are welcome'd." She placed her hands in front of her and looked up. Jewlet said. "Okay." She looked at him as she was confused, but didn't show it. "Yes." She bowed and then stood up straight. "I will be right back, then." She turned and headed for the kitchen. Her mind was trying to figure out what he asked of her. 'No, now.' She shook the thought off. {{Ok. I will look at it. biggrin }}

Grant made his way to the table and on his way saw a boy trying to get at the water he had obtained for the knights. He smiled and shook his head as he walked over. "Come now boy, trying to be apart of the knights alre..." He stopped when he noticed that it wasn't a boy but the minstrel. "O, My apologies good sir. Would thou like a drink from the barrels?" He asked getting a cup. Grant shoved his whole hand under water and brought the cup back up filled to the brim. "Here we are." He said handing the man the cup.
