Aludra, plain and simple, felt kind of stupid. He didn't know what had happened to Lira in the past few days since she'd grown, but he figured it had to have been something huge. After all, she had been crying almost constantly and, from what he knew, she'd only ever left the apartment once. Well, that's what he'd heard when he came home. Ironic that it should be while Lira was out that he come home with a present for her.
As such, he'd bought a few small, pink and gold bangles that were more cheerful, more like the Lira that he'd remembered from all those... well, months ago, but they certainly felt like years at times. The bracelets weren't wrapped and they made quiet jingling noises when they moved against each other. He didn't really care if Lira knew who they were from, despite his greedy counterpart wanting the transgirl to know, as long as they at least brought a bit of a smile to her face.
Sneaking quietly into her room, he laid down the five delicate rings on her desk, looking around the room briefly. It was different than he remembered, though not by a lot. It was still obviously Lirona's room. He smiled, turning to leave before pausing and taking a small stickynote pad that had previously been gathering dust. With a small squiggle to get the ink to start moving, he wrote on the top pad nothing fancy or complex, just something he felt needed to be written:
You are loved.
And with that left next to the bangles, not even taken off the rest of the pad, he slipped back out of the room and back to his own, where he soonafter slipped out the window. He had friends to meet, places to be, after all...

Lira blinked as she looked at the note, written in the hand that she knew only too well. How many times had she poured over the last note Aludra had left her, letting it lift her up to hopeful places? Too many, that's for sure. The girl's face was expressionless as she looked over it, tracing the patterns with her eyes, left hand toying with the bangles absently. A strange cloying sensation grew in her throat.
Then she turned and threw the bangles against the wall, a fierce snarl on her face. Turning back to the note, she shredded it, tore it until it didn't even look like paper anymore; just pink dust. Even then, she dumped it all on the ground and stomped on it, all over it, tears pouring down her furious face. Even Jake was frightened by this outburst, standing as rigid as he could, poised to... do something.
Eventually, the small portion of anger allowed to the patience spawn ran out, and she collapsed on her bed, sobbing into her pillow. She hated this. Hated what had happened, hated her family, hated him. But most of all, she hated herself. She hated how that even though she had eviscerated that stupid note, those bracelets would stay right where they were, unharmed. If she picked them up at all, she'd do it with reverence, but more likely than not they'd just stay on the floor by her door, staring her in the face, daring her to do something about how terrible they made her felt. And she wouldn't. She knew she wouldn't do anything about it.
She hated Aludra. She hated everything.

Lirona's Journal Dear Journal,
So, uh... I'm sorry that the last entry was so... depressing. That, and the fact that I've neglected you for so long! At least, it feels like a long time. It's not that I'm mad at you or anything, I just... Well, to be honest, I haven't been doing a lot since... last time. Kind of understandably, I've been really depressed, and just have kinda lazed about the house.
However! Here's the good news! I'm not going to do that tonight! I'm - oh God, I still can't believe this is happening - I'm going to go on a date. GHEE I KNOW RIGHT. It's so exciting!!!
That, and uh, it's not really with who you'd think. No, not Aludra. It's with Tykier. You remember him, Journal? I met him once when I was really small. Well, I met up with him again a little bit ago, and it turns out he's really sweet. And cute. And sweet. And good-looking. That, and I'm really trying to get to a point where I can get over Aludra. I know, I know, I used to say that I'd never give up, but I just. Can't. Anymore. It's too painful to want him - need him - when he's obviously not interested. And I want to respect his happiness; if he's happy with that DoCtoR!, then I guess that's fine.
So, uh yeah! I'm actually going out on a date soon! I'm really excited!! If you can't tell! And it's the happiest I've been in a while, so I decided to tell you about it! Wasn't that nice of me?
Love, Lirona ♥♥

Caterpillars and Butterflies Luthor was, without knowing it, picking up habits that were in his demon blood. To find a nice park to hang out in and to let the humans come to him for wishes. It was odd, that there were so many of them wanted wishes but there were even more that just seemed to want to forget things. He looked down at the pretty, glimmer gems that he was holding that were new today. One of them was a woman wanting to forget about a lover who had left her for someone younger while the other one was merely of a person that had the pain of knowing it was his fault a friend had died, or so he'd thought. Luthor didn't really think it was the man's fault but he didn't care. The gem was beautiful due to the man's agony, a lovely red color. Even these two though, other being a bright pink, were beautiful but nothing like the original gem he had from Pepper. Pepper's gem, a deep purple one, shone with the darkest and most beautiful light. Likely due to what it meant.
He tucked the two new ones carefully into the pouch that hung around his neck where he kept them and let his eyes close, wings fluttering, and he relaxed as he awaited his next customer. Only people desiring to lose memories today, nobody actually wanting a wish... it was a slow going day but the gathering of gems was what mattered because those gems fed his power just as souls did for Vampy.
A strange restlessness had inspired Lirona to wander through the park that day. It certainly wasn't anything based in happiness; more like a wistfulness, a very painful nostalgia. For whatever reason, she had woken up with a very sudden feeling of insecurity, not unlike those that would plague her as a pre-teen. It had been a long time since the state of her body had affected her so, but with a boyfriend and all, suddenly it seemed like the expectations were greater. After all, she'd never be right for Aludra, so she didn't need to worry about being right. But with Ty... Well, not to say that the boy intentionally pressured her, but it was definitely a different story.
So there she was, glumly walking through the park as she tried to clear her head of its unwanted depression. Jake swayed about in a tired fashion, his normally-ecstatic mood dulled by Lira's. As she walked, her eyes caught upon a glimmer of light, which turned out to be the shine of a very pretty young man's... Did he have white hair? Curiosity piqued, she timidly strolled over to him, not failing to notice the wings that poked out from his back. Nervously readjusting her hair, she smiled at him.
"H-Hello. I was just wondering, ah, if you happened to be from somewhere called the Facility," she asked quietly, a hopefully-friendly smile on her face. "I-I only ask because, well, you have rather, uh, different hair, not to mention wings, and, well, all the people I've met with things like that have been from there. Including me," she finished with a grin, Jake swaying proudly.
Luthor's eyes opened slowly as he heard foot steps coming toward him and the one there before him wasn't like a person that he was expecting, this was no human coming to him for any of the reasons that they were drawn to him. He sat forward slightly, wings giving another flutter before he gave him a smile, "Yes, I come from there. I am guessing your the same? You have at least J'her's blood in your from what I can tell." He scooted over and patted a hand on the bench next to him.
A broad smile lit up Lira's face when her suspicions were confirmed, and although she hadn't expected to be invited to sit, she swiftly did so. It certainly wouldn't do her any harm to sit next to such a pretty boy!
She smiled and blushed when he spoke again, Jake still strutting about like a ridiculous peacock. "Y-Yep, that's me. Well, actually, that's mostly Jake; I look more like Hyacinth than I do J'her. Well, really, more like a human," she added with a giggle, fluttering her wing lightly. She had always noticed that her friends had always seemed to look more... different from people than her, but it had never really bothered her that much.
Looking up at the passing clouds, she sighed lightly, allowing Jake to fiddle about with the edge of the boy's pants before she asked with a smile. "So, what are you doing here today? Are you going to visit the Facility? It's quite close, isn't it?" she asked, mostly to herself as she craned her neck. Sure enough, she spotted the rooftop of the familiar building just above a few trees. She was on the ball with guessing today.
Luthor looked down at the tentacle and found himself reaching out to pet it. Luthor had no idea what personal space was and as such he had nothing against touching someone else, "So this is Jake then? I met one other of J'her's spawn that named his as well." He murmured, giving a smile as he thought about Adriel before he lifted his gaze to watch the girl before shaking his head, "More like I am taking a break from it, I live at the Labs actually."
He gave the girl a smile, "My name is Luthor Gamaliel, what's your name?" He knew Jake's name so he might as well learn of the pretty spawn's name as well.
Lira smiled as Jake happily butted into the boy's hand, happy that he didn't find the tentacle weird or scary. Not that many did, but Jake was a very forward appendage, whatever the case. She nodded brightly. "Yeah. His full title is Jake the Snake, but that's kind of a mouthful," she said with a laugh. "He was named by a toddler I met; even though it's kind of silly, he doesn't respond to anything else."
Lira's eyes widened when she heard that this boy lived at the Facility, and she instinctively leaned forward. She was immediately reminded of Pepper, and had to wonder if all boys that lived in the Facility was extremely cute. "Really? That's cool. Do you know a boy named Pepper? I met him there once; he lived at the labs too, last time I was there."
"Oh," she added, smiling as the boy introduced himself, "that's a pretty name. I'm Lirona. Lirona Lorcalle. It's very nice to meet you, Luthor." Lira allowed the conversation to grow silent for a second, then posed a hesitant question. "Uh, if I'm not being too nosy, what are you doing here? I mean, if it was me and I was trying to take a break from the Facility, I'd go pretty far. It seems like a daunting place to live."
He gave a nod of his head, "Yes, Pepper is my little brother... well... more like my younger brother, hes actually bigger then me." He said with a little chuckle, thinking about his brother as he stroked the tentacle as one might do with any sort of friendly pet that they ran across. He seemed to grow thoughtful for a moment as he tried to think about how exactly he wanted to answer her before saying in a manner that sounded as though he were joking, "I am granting wishes of course." He said with a smile.
Lirona could have squealed at this information, although she managed to keep herself contained. Jake twisted farther around Luthor's wrist more and more tightly, like a python, except much more affectionate. Lira chuckled behind her hand as Luthor spoke, trying to picture Pepper as a larger person than when she had last saw him. The image was rather pleasing, but she forced herself not to dawdle on it.
Of course, that was rather easy when Luthor spoke again. A small surprised expression formed on Lirona's face. If it had been anyone else, she would have guessed that they were joking, but for some reason, it wasn't completely implausible coming from Luthor. "R-Really?" she stuttered.
He nodded his head, "Really." He murmured, then gave her a smile and a wink before he continued to pet the friendly tentacle, "Its in my blood to do such things, only lately have I gotten back into practice." He reached up behind his ear to produce his golden pen to show it to Lirona. It was what was used as a magical conduit, to make help him to channel his power into the spells he was casting at the time, "Don't tell me someone as pretty as you needs a wish?" He said, sounding as though he didn't quite believe such a thing was possible.
Lirona blushed at Luthor's answer, easily charmed and impressed by the young man. Sure, she knew that spawn had magical powers thanks to their DNA, but she had never heard of something as amazing as granting wishes. She gazed in curious wonder at the pen, Jake even distracted by the glowing object enough to stop twisting around Luthor's hand.
Her blush only deepened at his compliment, and she fixed her hair nervously, eyes cast towards the ground. "Aha, th-that's very kind of you, Luthor. Actually," she said, mind wandering back to the problem that brought her here, "I just might..." Leaning forward, she looked intently at the male. "So, how exactly does this granting wish thing work?"
"How? Well with this sort of magic there is always a price, the DNA donor I come from asks for something far steeper then I do though. He has some strange desire to collect souls but I like something far more simple." He reached into the pouch that hung around his neck, withdrawing a gem, "These are memory gems. You see I grew up in the Labs, never left until I was a little younger then you, and even now I leave only rarely. There are many things I haven't been able to experience, that I have missed out on, so my price for wishes are memories so I can see what other people have done in their time." It was his intense curiosity about the world that made him request such a price.
Lirona listened intently, having become very hopeful when Luthor had spoken of his ability. She had never really thought that she'd be able to completely change genders without one of those complicated-looking surgeries, but if this worked...
She gasped when he drew out the gem, amazed by its beauty. "Wow, that's gorgeous," she breathed, a little unsure how a memory could form something so solid and real. Still, she wasn't going to question it; spawn could do some pretty weird things. She nodded when he explained his price, and thought for a moment before asking another question. "I see. So... what kind of memory do you want?"
He tilted his head to the side, thinking about it, "There are two types of memories that I love the most." He told Lirona, "The most beautiful and the most painful. It might seem a little terrible for me but I don't want just every day memories, I want them to be something... special."
"No, no, that makes sense," Lirona said quickly, smiling up at Luthor. She hadn't thought that the memory of what she had for breakfast this morning could have made such a beautiful jewel. Sighing lightly, she sat back up, stroking Jake absentmindedly as she considered this sudden opportunity. True, it wasn't exactly the most tried-and-true method, but then again, she was a Facility kid, so perhaps tried-and-true methods weren't meant for her.
Sighing again, she looked back at Luthor, smiling. "Well, Luthor, I actually do have a wish, and a pretty hefty memory to go along with it. The thing is, it's kind of an odd request...." She faltered momentarily, twiddling her fingers before plucking up her courage and continuing. "I'd like you to turn me into a girl. Please."
Luthor cocked his head to one side, starring at her in a very confused manner, "Turn you into a girl?" He asked, he didn't quite seem to understand, wasn't... she a girl already? She sure looked like one... though he supposed that she wasn't quite as big up top as J'her was. It was just as she said, an odd request... then again he'd had someone else, a male, ask to have babies so he couldn't say this was the strangest thing he'd heard in his time.
Lirona gulped a little at Luthor's confused reaction, but then she couldn't say she hadn't been expecting it. Over the years - and with Adhara and Noua's brilliant help - she'd become very good at appearing to be female. Fingers fidgeting in her lap, she nodded awkwardly. "Y-Yes. I know, sounds confusing, but I'm actually... kind of a boy. I mean, totally a boy. I mean, well, I was born a boy, but I feel like I should have been born a girl, and I'd be really grateful if you could do that for me. The other option doesn't sound as... simple," she finished with a blush. Christ, she hated talking about this.
Luthor blinked, "Ohhhh, I think I follow." He murmured then gave a smile, "So then your were born in the wrong body? I could see that." Given how often the Labs seemed to mess things up he could see how they would mess up and give a soul the wrong form. He gave her a smile before he turned to her, sitting cross legged on the bench, "I can do this for you but it will need to be a very big memory, something... significant to balance it out."
He gave her a gentle smile, "You must also assure me this is what you want, it will be a bit shift after all that you will go through since your body will change from head to toe." He wondered if she suddenly sprouted a chest if it would throw off her balance...
Lirona smiled gratefully at the other spawn when he said he understood, as it meant she didn't have to bumble her way through the explanation again. Since she was so good at disguising her body's gender, it wasn't often that she had to explain herself, and she was definitely out of practice. She nodded with a determined look on her face, turning to face him as well. "I'm positive, don't worry. I've been positive since I was a child," she added with half a smile. "A-And you don't have to worry about my memory, either. It's, uh..." She froze for a second, voice box unable to illustrate the terrible event, before she shook her head and continued. "It's significant, I promise. And d-definitely something I wouldn't mind forgetting."
"So... How does this work?"
"Now, if its a painful memory I am going to apologize for what I am going to ask of you now. You must close your eyes and think of that thing, only of that thing, make sure that it is the only thing on your mind, think on it hard and I will be able to manifest it into jewel form. Once its manifested you will never have to worry about it again." He told her, giving her a reassuring smile, wings fluttering behind him.
Lirona listened carefully to Luthor's instructions, a determined look on her face as she nodded, trying to force her limbs to stop trembling. Luthor was right; she'd just have to relive it one more time, and then it wouldn't even exist. She just had to be tough. The transgirl took in a deep sigh, and then closed her eyes, running through the annals of her mind until...
Ah, there it was. The memory of that terrible night. She hesitated only a moment, and then threw herself into it. She forced herself to remember the alleyway, the blood-red strings, the spine-tingling sensation of too many arms with too many hands in too many places, the helplessness, the overwhelming dark...
A tear slipped down her cheek as she shuddered, not even aware of Luthor's presence anymore. She just wanted it to be over...
Luthor watched as the tear slid down her cheek feeling quite guilty as he lifted his hands up to let them hover on either side of her head while his pen moved to hover over her. There was a glimmering of purple energy that wrapped around Lirona before his eyes closed. The pen worked on slowly writing out a contract, the wish, the memory that was being taken, consent was given, and there was a pull of power upon Lirona's mind first, the power started to move along the edges of her memory, wrapping around it before there was a trembling of power and there was a sound like a snap.
The contract that was written out flared to life and the purple engulfed Lirona as it set to work fulfilling what she asked for. Luthor opened his eyes and reached out to pluck the memory gem from the air, looking it over, "Beautiful." He murmured. It was black with a spiderweb of red going through it. Everything about this gem was new and exciting to him, beautiful and new. He ran his hands over it, gazing into it, and his cheeks colored a little as he realized what sort of memory it was. He smiled before he tucked it away along with the rest of his gems in his pouch before he went quiet, watching Lirona as the power worked on her. It would take a while it seemed so he could only be patient and feed all the magic to her until she emerged from the cocoon of energy in her new form, much like a butterfly.
Unaware of the goings-on outside, what happened next seemed extremely peculiar to Lira. Almost as soon as she wished for this terrible experience to be over, it began mysteriously fading away. The edges of her vision began to fade to white, and the fear that had such a grip on her heart relaxed its grip. In its place came a warm contentedness, like her insides were coated with warm milk. She watched in confusion as the terrible scene faded more and more, to the point where it looked separate from her, as if she was just watching a tasteless movie.
Then, with a flash, it was gone. Lirona's vision was filled with white, although a new color quickly slipped into the mix. Purple...
She didn't know how long her mind sat there in limbo, but suddenly there was a sudden shift, a spark of energy flying through her core, bearing one simple message: she was ready. With a small effort, Lirona forced her eyes to open, and in doing so banished the magical cocoon surrounding her almost before she noticed it.
But of course, once she noticed HERSELF, she didn't give a rat's a**. Golden eyes glanced down, and the MOST delighted, the MOST grateful, the MOST happy smile broke out upon her, HER, face. She had- She had boobs! Real ones, made of flesh and... and girl! She stood up from the bench, apparently too quickly because she stumbled, unnerved by the new narrowness of her ankles. She began laughing as she spun around, checking out her bum, her wrists, her beautiful, delicate fingers. Tears of joy sparkled at the corners of her eyes as she faced Luthor, the poster child for bliss. Without a moment's thought, she dove forward, tackling him into a strong embrace (that wasn't as strong as it could have been!).
"Oh, thank you thank you thank you Luthor oh God, thank you so much, thank you, thank you!!"
Luthor's eyes went a bit wide when she emerge and then gave a smile, well now that she was a true girl he could see all of the details that were different between the Lirona from before and the Lirona now. He was a little surprised when she was suddnely tackling him and he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her close, "Your welcome and thank you." He murmured, one hand stroking her hair in a gentle manner, wings wrapping around her as well. She was such a nice girl that he was happy to help her.
"I am glad that everything is to your liking." He murmured, this had to be one of the best things he'd done for someone before since the memories he'd taken from Pepper and what he'd done for Adriel. He was happy when his power was able to do real good. Something Vampy seemed to fail at...
Lirona sighed blissfully into Luthor's chest, unable to keep her tears from flowing. She was so happy, she'd have hugged anyone that was near her. After a while, she pulled out of the embrace, wiping away at her tears, blushing, and laughing all at the same time. "Oh, oh y-yeah.. Everything's perfect." Grinning again, she hopped up and down, a little unsteadily thanks to new weight distribution, and gathered up her things. "God, thank you SO much, Luthor, but I gotta get home! I hope you enjoy your pretty gems!" Giving him a kiss on the cheek, the ecstatic girl darted off as best she could, the entire world seeming so much brighter, the very air more air-like as Lirona took her first steps as a girl. An actual girl... Ty was going to freak out.
Luthor watched her as she raced off before he found himself flopping over onto his side on the bench, eyes sinking close. He was suddenly very, very tired. That had to be the most tiring wish he'd ever granted and he knew he wasn't going to be making it home so he might as well nap right here in the sun. When he got enough of his energy back he would return home but for now he was content in knowing that he had helped someone in a manner that had made her so happy that she had actually cried. As he slept the golden pen seemed to shift its form slightly, looking more and more ornate as he gained in power.

Aludra's slim frame was wracked with uncontrollable sobs as he stepped into Lirona's room once again. The young woman had slipped out with Tykier after that stupid-as-s**t stunt that he'd pulled. Even in the summer heat, the teenager was wrapped up tight in a long-sleeved hoodie, the fabric of the sleeves sticking to fresh wounds that criss-crossed his semi-scaled arms, cuts deep enough to have sliced even through his scales this time. Blood trickled down his arm as he carried yet another gift into Lira's room and placed it gently on her desk, head spinning.
Trembling fingers found their way across the polished, well-managed wood, small droplets of blood leaving the path of his fingertips from the astrologically-themed crystal ball, to a pen, and to the notepad he'd made use of the last time he'd left a hated gift in the young woman's room. A shaky sob passed his lips as he lifted the notepad, gently peeling off a memo, biting his lip as his eyes traced the female's handwriting. It was smeared with blood by the time he read through it, stained with tears, not worth returning; he stuck it in his pocket.
Leaning over slowly, trembling, he wrote a scrawled, awkward note, scribbling out every other word that was too poorly-written, too poorly-chosen to be graced by Lira's eyes skimming across them, even if they were to simply be torn to pieces. They weren't even worth that much.
'He's I'm I greatly am terribly overwhelmingly, horrifically horrified with myself for doing what I did ever believing that it was ansmart intelligent decision to kiss press my lips to your's in front of your

It was a while before Lirona got home, and therefore a while before she saw the gift - and note - that were left for her by, guess who? By now she half-expected this, but at the same time, just seeing that thing drained her so much. She slowly walked over to the desk, sighing heavily when she saw the specks of blood on paper and wood. So he was back at that again.
Despite herself, Lira felt tears begin to form as she read the over-corrected note. Her heart began to pound in the way that only Aludra could make it; the way that made it hurt. A half-smile, a sad smile, formed on her face, and she re-read the note a few times before she clutched it to her chest. She sat down heavily on her bed, even laid back for a few moments to try and let all of this craziness sink in. Or fade out.
It was a while before she sat up again, Jake reaching out to gently lift up the orb and bring it to her. Lira couldn't help but laugh softly at how pretty it was. She hadn't even known that she was a Sagittarius; trust it to Aludra to find something like that out for her. At the same time, she couldn't help but wonder what motive was behind this present, as nice as it was. It was obviously an apology, once again transferred through an object. She sighed again and laid back down, tossing the ball up and down. It was always objects with him...
She couldn't forgive him. Even though his tragedy was intoxicating, not to mention every other part of him that made her very soul sing, it couldn't be that simple. A tear slid down her cheek as Lira realized what she would have to resist her natural compulsions if she was going to make the point she knew she had to. Aludra still had a boyfriend. Aludra was still gay, or not, or whatever. And Ty was still there. She clung tightly to the orb as she began crying softly. He always knew how to make this... whatever they had more complicated.
