Cel has moved to her own teepee...making this a family teepee. oO Hurdygurdydoodlydewhutdehay.
Anywho...ADELLE PLOTNESS.
What I'd like to do is for Adelle to go and find a way to regain her lost confidence in her abilities as a mother. I see in her a lot of what I love about my OC, Aoibh, the sort of sweet mother who would never turn any foal away, so I can see her becoming a sort of mother to lost foals, someone who guides the foals for as long as she can, and changes them at heart in some way. I probably won't run with this plot until the new year, or at least until it's abundantly clear that Adelle cannot save Neva. What I'm thinking, and I've talked to Kes, too, is that once she finds out she couldn't save Neva, she goes off into the wilds of the north, very depressed, and feeling she's an absolute failure as a family figure, because she couldn't save Neva. On the way, she finds lost foals and either raises them, teaches them to fly, or spends a bit of time with them before moving on. Maybe later, at least one of these foals she met comes back--maybe with a child of their own--to say how much Adelle meant to them. Adelle really needs to hear from others that she's not a bad mother, and while she failed to save Neva, the amount of good she has done for others vastly outweighs what's happened to Neva, and maybe she realizes that Neva's not really her fault. I don't think she'd ever really accept that Neva's evil and what happened to her is Neva's own fault; I don't see Adelle as the blaming sort, but I do see her as the sort whose love is her greatest power and trait. She may get rejected as an elder, even at the end of that extensive plot, but Adelle coming to terms with her role as a mother and coming back to her family would be the happy ending that is right for her. If Adelle does get accepted as an elder at the end of this plot, I'd plan to keep Adelle as a mother of lost foals, finding, protecting, and guiding all souls, leaving them with a bell and love.
