Checking your mailbox today, you find a crumpled letter, not even in an envelope. You manage to uncrumple it the best you can before reading the scrawled text, made with an inky pen.

Quote:
Lab. Melee lesson. Adhara. Tomorrow, 12 PM sharp. Don't be late.

-Xeviel

A little miffed, you decide to check over where a scrawled map had been drawn, a little arrow pointing to where the class is to be.

Aludra hummed softly in tune with one of his little brother's CDs as he lay on his stomach on the floor, playing chess against himself. He never really understood exactly why Haleriun insisted on buying CDs; it wasn't as though the younger boy could hear them, anyway. It was as though he just wanted them for the sake of being able to say that he had them. Aludra kicked his legs in the air slightly, counting every one of his moves on either side separately, actually appearing to be trying to beat himself with both sides, which seemed difficult for him given he knew how to counter every move he made.

He was somewhere in the fifties, mumbling numbers under his breath, when his sister walked in, taking a seat beside him and laying out a few little books that were covered in writing and other such things, and appeared to be fully-laminate. The girl waited patiently, until she somehow managed to get on her brother's nerves, and her turned to her with a sharp glare. "What want?" he asked irritably, not liking people who... hovered.

"Dad sent me in here to ask you something, that's all. I mean, I know you know how to count and all, but did the people at the Facility teach you how to write and spell? Your alphabet, I mean," she explained. Aludra blinked a few times, before shaking his head, sitting up from his chess game to actually investigate the books. He looked from one of the pages, to his sister, and then back to the page itself, before showing it to her.

"Can teach?" he asked, curious. Of course, if should couldn't, he really wouldn't mind. He could go back to thinking up chess strategies.

"Of course I can!" Adhara replied, happy that she would actually have something to do rather than sit around the house, stuffing her face with the food that Noah kept in the fridge. Speaking of which... She fished into her always-with-her-now bag and pulled out what looked like a small party platter with a bunch of different kinds of foods in it, and some kind of ranch dip in the center. Setting that down beside the two of them, she opened the easiest book to page one...

"Lironax?" Aludra asked curiously. They were already on the fifth and final book that Adhara had bought, in the back section that had only lines for writing whatever it is you wanted to write back there. It was good for practice that way.

"L. I. R. O. N. A. X," Adhara replied, smiling contentedly and gnawing on a carrot. "Hey, Aludra, don't you want to know how to spell your own name?" she asked curiously, only for him to shake his head rapidly. She blinked a few times before shrugging. "Alright, suit yourself."

Aludra was finally used to his new height and other changes he'd experienced, and that morning had brought in another letter from Seven of Seven, offering it to his father and going back to sit in his room and practice writing on the chalkboard easel that his father had gotten him. He'd been told that if he improved his lettering enough that he would be able to take a test that would allow him into second grade. Along with that, though, he would need to get better at reading, which was his weakest area in school.

It was while he was doing this that his sister once again entered his room, a bright smile on her face and a clipboard in her hand. He stared at her for a moment, before pointing at her with the thin piece of white chalk that he was holding. "Look like tech," he stated plainly, before going back to his letters, only for his sister to giggle a bit and take a seat on his bed.

"I have a reason for that, I promise. And it doesn't involve any poking, either," she said with a soft smile. It didn't seem to catch her brother's attention, but she knew that he was listening. "In a couple days, we're going to visit your biological father- the virtue, I mean. His name is Cestoloria and he's the angel of Humility," she said with a soft smile as he seemed to perk up slightly, looking over his shoulder at her for a moment before nodding for her to go on, turning to continue working on his writing.

"Since dad's going to be working, I'll probably be taking you, and I was thinking that you might want to think of things that you would want to ask him or learn from him, given when I met one of my parents the first time, I got thrown off-track 'cause... I didn't plan anything about the meeting," she said, not wanting to mention the fact that she'd also wanted to stay with J'her given how sweet the woman had been acting toward her.

"What like?" the boy asked, wiping the board off with a piece of cloth that looked like the shirt that he'd been wearing that morning. His sister had another of those trays of food that she always had when she was going to be upstairs with her brother for a while, this one was a fruit tray, however, with a yoghurt dip in the center of it. She opened it, popping a piece of of pineapple in her mouth and swallowing it before she continued.

"For example... let's see if we can come up with a shorter name for him," she suggested, earning an approving nod from her little brother.

"Cesta... Cestalo... lor... Lor," the Humility child stated, shifting the chalk to his right hand and attempting to write his alphabet again, this time failing miserably at it, his letters looking like a mess of spaghetti that had been thrown everywhere. Erasing it again, he went back to using his left hand.

"Good idea. Now, you'll probably want to make sure to ask him if that's alright first, remember," she said with a nod, writing down on the piece of paper 'Is it alright if I call you 'Lor'?', given the paper was for Aludra in the long run. Of course, given the man was the angel of Humility, she really doubted that he would mind, just as Aludra honestly didn't seem to care what he was called. "Now, what else do you want to know?"
