Adhara hugged a towel around her body tightly, glancing around nervously. She wasn't usually so self-conscious, but at the moment, she couldn't really be very confident, could she? The preteen sighed a bit, crossing her legs as she sat on a bench outside of the indoor pool, listening to the echoing voices of the other kids and watching as her brother went down the waterslide repeatedly. She chuckled softly. Each time he went up the stairs to the top of the slide, he would look over to the diving board wistfully, as though he knew that he would be too scared to jump off it, but he really wanted to be able to.

Shaking her head, the girl smiled a bit at the ground, before glancing around a bit, checking for anyone she knew -as though she would be able to find them out of everyone else- before she let her towel fall back onto the stuff-covered bench. She had yet another new bathing suit, this one with just pink bottoms and a loose dressy top that covered her stomach loosely. Gosh, it was getting so awkward to have to walk around like this...

Wynni appeared on the scene wearing a one piece bathing suit of a vibrant blue color. A towel was draped over her forearm and she held a bag filled with a set of dry clothes for afterward. The bathing suit had to be tailored to suit her tail but it did just fine for the wings and otherwise it was perfect and suited her rather nicely. Over her pink eyes she wore a set of sun glasses with plastic frames that matched her suit. She gazed about hoping to find someone she recognized, anyone really.

Unlike Adhara, however, Wynni managed to spot the other girl and tilted her head a bit as if trying to place her. This girl looked different from what she seemed to remember! Was it even who she was thinking of? Without any further delay short-haired spawn moved forward to greet the girl she felt she recognized and called out the name with a questioning tone, "Adhi!?"

Adhara squeaked at the sound of her name, and reached behind her to grab the towel again, covering her front and glancing around with her eyes wide behind her glasses. She caught sight of the oh-so-familiar face quickly, though, and brightened a bit, though a soft blush remained on her face from being caught in a bathing suit with an inflated baby belly. She waved as her friend walked over, smiling brightly at her friend's change in appearance.

"Wynni! Hi! I wasn't expecting to see you here," she said, giggling a bit. "You've gotten bigger, too, I see," she noted with a bit of a nod as Niita poked out from under the fringe of her top, extending to bid the other girl hello with a poke on the hand.

"I haven't seen you in forever! How are you? Is everything doing well?" Wynni chattered on seemingly oblivious to one of the more major changes in girl in front of her. She giggled as she noticed Niita and she reached out a hand to pet at the tentacle lightly, "and hello to you, Niita!"

"Yeah! I got bigger! So did you!" This seemed to be a loaded comment on all sorts of levels, and again she didn't seem to notice the bulging belly of her friend. She just seemed happy to see her at the moment! What were the odds that they would meet again? They weren't very large odds, but still! "I am sorry I couldn't make it to your sleepover-thing! I feel so bad about that...I wanted to come..."

Adhara giggled happily at all the questions, swaying on the spot a bit. "I'm good, actually. Things haven't really been too different, to tell you the truth," she said, giggling a bit. "What about you, how have you been? How are you now? What brings you here?" That was the big plus of talking to most Diligence children. Adhara didn't have to try to slow down her speech most of the time. Or ask any less questions. Niita snuggled happily against Wynni's hand, Reena reaching out to poke gently against the hand that was petting her brother, looking for some pets, herself.

"I did!" Adhara stated proudly, stretching her wings to show them off as well. She would have posed, given the fact that she's actually gotten curves, but given she was a bit pregnant, said curves were just a bit less noticeable. "Don't worry about it, really. It sucks that you couldn't make it, but I'll probably end up having another one anyway," she said with a soft giggle; it was true. Her dad took 'spoiling his children' to a whole other level.

Wynni giggled at Reena as the tentacle began insisting upon attention as well, "Okay, okay." She laughed as she talked to the tentacle and gave it attention with free hand. Tentacles were always so friendly! She was always happy to shower attention upon them, so it wasn't a problem for her to do so. She listened to Adhara talk and fire questions back to her, "Oh! I am fine I guess. Mom is being kind of annoying," she rolled her eyes a bit with a small sigh as she spoke "I guess that's usual."

"Came cause it is too cold to go out to the beach yet and I wasn't about to wait for summer to come," Wynni said with a small grin and a giggle, "So boring at home, mom finally let me out of the house."

Wynni looked her friend over admiringly for a moment before she seemed to finally catch on. Her friend was curvy but not in the way most young women become curvy. There was a lump that seemed out of place and a hand went to the belly before she even thought of it, probably much to the disappointment of Niita, "W..What is this?" She breathed out her innocent eyes were wide in wonderment of this change in her friend.

Adhara laughed in agreement at the comment about Wynni's mom being annoying and rolled her eyes. "Oof, I know what you mean. But it's not so much my dad as my brothers," she said, before pointing up to the top of the water slide where her brother was tapping his foot impatiently, waiting for the lifeguard to tell him that it was alright to go down again. "That one up there's Aludra. He drives everybody crazy, but not as much as..." she paused, scouring the room for the disappearing snake-ferret, before shaking her head. "Well, dad and Hale disappeared, but those two boys are so much trouble. It's crazy."

"Yeah, home can get really boring someti-" Adhara was cut off before she could finish when her friend's hand went to her stomach, causing her eyes to widen quite a bit, heart pounding a bit faster. Niita gently nudged at Wynni's hand, before making a gesture remniscent of shaking his head and looking around for some other interesting thing to play with. Unfortunately for his sister, Reena was the only interesting thing that was within grabbing range. Adhara blushed brightly, diverting her attention to the poke-fight that was going on between her tentacles, before both seemed to look at her before darting behind her back, leaving her alone with her... guilt?

"Well, um, you see, the funniest thing happened..." she said, laughing weakly in a forced manner, making it obvious that it most certainly was nothing that was funny in any way, shape, or form. She laid a hand on the upper part of her stomach gently in a very motherly way for a preteen, before glancing back up at her friend. "You remember Adriel, right...?"

Wynni offered a giggle as she was told about the situation of Adhara's home life. She could identify with the issue of siblings quite well but even then her friend seemed to have gotten the worse end of the stick somehow, "That sounds like a lot of trouble," the spawn commented with a small grin.

The girl seemed perplexed momentarily by the cutoff of Adhi's words and so she paused and tried to consider what had changed to make her stop and felt the nudges of the tentacle and understood. She had perhaps made unwanted contact? So her hand fell away from the bump in the midsection and hid behind her back as she tilted her head and innocently listened to her friend speak, hoping to see what was so 'funny' that may have caused the bump. Was Adhi sick?!

"Y..Yeah! He's nice!" Wynni said trying to become spirited once more but now she was simply worried. Did Adriel get Adhara sick with his tentacles?! Last she had seen the boy his tentacles were sick and perhaps it had spread...?

Adhara laughed nervously. Unfortunately for her, Wynni hadn't gotten the hint of what she was trying to get to. One would think that she wouldn't have much trouble after all the times that she'd had to explain, but it seemed to be rather awkward and very different every time. "Well, yeah, he is..." he mumbled, blinking a bit when Wynni pulled her hands away. She smiled and chuckled a bit, taking her friend's hand and pulling it back; really, Reena and Niita were a lot more possessive than she was about people touching her expanded belly.

"See, I went to see him a few weeks ago, after he was found again, remember?" she asked, assuming that Wynni knew about the kidnapping. "Well, I guess I kinda made a few wrong choices and with Reena and Niita being so clingy and grabby and everything... well, I mean, one thing lead to another and... I'm, uh... I'm pregnant," she said finally, glancing innocently up toward her friend, disappointed that she didn't even have her tentacles to distract herself anymore.

When her hand was pulled back to the stomach she allowed it her hand lightly rubbing at the bump with a small happy smile on her lips. It felt so round! It was a point of fascination for the pre-teen as her fingertips lightly went over the stomach. She didn't realize that -- pregnant? She knew babies came from bellies she just wasn't sure about the process that lead up to it. Though perhaps she ought to ask? No, it seemed too ... personal. Taboo almost. She blushed slightly but smiled, "That's wonderful! You're gonna have a baby?! Can I hold it one day? A...And help you?!"

So Adhi wasn't sick? But still Adriel had something to do with i--Wait, he got kidnapped?

"Adriel got kidnapped?" Her pink eyes became wide in wonderment. A lot had happened since she had gotten in trouble and thus grounded. She was woefully out of touch. "I..I didn't know." Wynni blushed more and seemed ashamed. Something happened to a friend and she wasn't aware of it, how awful!

Adhara chuckled good-naturedly at her friend's obvious enthusiasm about the fact that Adhara was pregnant. She was sure that if she had a friend who was pregnant that she would normally share in the excitement, but with how much strain the unborn had on her body, she had a hard time getting all that excited about having a child. Her wings flapped softly with all the questions, her tentacles sneaking out from behind her back, Niita wrapping around Wynni's wrist and tightening a bit in a friendly manner -much different than the possessive manner that he usually wrapped around 'Zuba with- while Reena poked at Wynni's hand gently, as though she wanted to be overprotective of Adhara's baby belly, but loved the attention far too much to push anyone away.

"Of course I'll let you!" Adhi said sweetly, a bright smile on her face as she pushed a stray lock of hair back behind one of her pointed ears, giggling cutely. "After all, I'm sure that I'm going to need help once it's born," she added, nodding sagely a few times, only for the strand of hair she'd just pushed back to fall into her face once again.

Amber eyes blinked in surprise when the other reacted with surprise at the news about Adriel. "You mean you didn't hear about it?" she questioned, blinking a few times in obvious astonishment. "It was all over the news; his mom was a mess, but he got back safely only a couple weeks ago, thank goodness," she said, nodding a couple times. "I'm surprised that you didn't know that," Adhi said curiously, letting one of her hands brush gently across her stomach.

Wynni gently petted at Adhara's belly for a few moments before the tentacles 'reappeared' and began to behave as if they wanted attention or at least Reena did. She let Niita wrap around her wrist with a small smile and her free hand moved to pet at the tentacle that was poking at her for the attention in a pushier fashion, "Hi again~," she said to the tentacles in a cheerful tone glad they had overcome the need to hide from view as if ashamed.

"Oh I'd love to help," the pre-teen offered enthusiastically Adhara explained that she would indeed need the assistance. Wynni giggled lightly as she watched her friend tuck away a bit of hair only to have it fall back to her face rebelliously, it was moments like those the tall spawn was thankful she had her hair cut.

Wynni's pink eyes flickered away momentarily as if embarrassed by her admission now, scaled shoulders shifted into a shrug as she went on to explain, "I kinda got into a lot of trouble, and I got grounded and I was busy moving a little after that. So I didn't have a whole lot of time for television, not that I am able to sit still long enough to watch anyways," the pre-teen offered a shy giggle. Wynni didn't feel the need to make mention of her mother's lapses into technophobia, it seemed like too odd of a quirk to mention about her mother.

Adhara's tentacles were quite content to snuggle with Wynni for the time being, and the girl, herself, chuckled softly at them, as usual, amused by their actions. "I think that's their way of saying 'hi' back," Adhi noted with a smile, wings fluttering a bit. Reena and Niita were probably fully content to just wriggle around Wynni's hands for the rest of the day, but Adhara, herself, was itching to be in the water. It would definitely be a nice feeling against the strained tautness of her newly-expanded stomach, even if her tentacles honestly did not like the water.

Adhara smiled brightly, and in a definitely relieved way. "Oh, I'm very relieved to hear that. Really, with how active the baby is while it still hasn't been born, I'm sure that even I'll need help taking care of it when it can finally run around." She laughed a bit, wiggling happily with a rigor that was likely renewed by the water that was around her, as well as her friend and all the laughter and happy sounds from all the kids and even some of the adults in the building.

"Ohh... that makes sense, then," Adhara said with a nod, chuckling softly. "My dad believes that anything we need to watch is a musical, of which he has all of them. But recently he started seeing my... brother's best friend's dad, who has some kind of obsession with old television shows, so he got cable around the time that that happened," she commented, blathering on just a little bit before smiling sheepishly. "So I guess I kinda know how you feel."
