Celestia - Draco
You are corji- corga- CORDIALLY invited to an Early Christmas Party!!
[xxx]Hi!! This is Adara Adhara Millicent Beearr By'arre, and you've been invited to come to the Christmas Party that Noah my daddy and Ginny suprised me with. It's going to be at a ski resort up in the mountans, and Ginny is going to pu the adress at the bottom of the letter, so that you know where to go.
[xxx]Ginny also says to say that we're going to have ADULT SUPERVISION while we're there, but we're gonna be in a different room, too. Ginny and Matthias are going to be in a room that's connectd to the one that we're in, and they'll keep the door open, so that they know what's going on and so that nothing bad happens or anything.
[xxx]The trip's going to last to whole days, and we all can do one fun thing that we want on the second day. We can get a skee-ing lesson, or go ice skating, or sledding, or something like that, but only one of them, 'cause there kinda expensive.
[xxx]Also, we're sposed to be doing this thing that Ginny said is called a White Elephant. It's where a buncha people get presents that are all wrapped up, and then they sit in a circle. Then one person picks a present, and unwraps it, and then the next person can either choose to have whatever the first person got, or can unwrap a present for themselves, but if they choose the first person's present, then the first person can unwrap somethin' else. Then it just goes on like that til everyone's got something. I think it sounds like fun, so you should bring something for it!!
[xxx]I REALLY hope to see you there!!
-Adhara Millicent By'arre

[[ P.S. This is Guinevere Silas, godmother of Adhara. I apologize for the misspellings, but Adhara insisted on writing this letter herself, which is good, to say the least. Also, the trip will be happening [here]. Guardians, feel free to come along as well. That is why we chose conjoining rooms. We all hope to see you there!! ]]

I'M GETTING A WHAT?!

Duncan was starring at his father with a trio of wide eyes, looking... shocked... surprised... and almost terrified. He was shaking his head in a dumb manner, unable to find his voice for a long moment... though when he did finally find it he was quite vocal about his feelings on the matter at hand, "NO! No no no no no!" He said, shaking his head rapidly from side to side, "You can do that. You can't... can't!"

June stepped forward to catch hold of his son's wrists tugging him to stop of him his angry pacing, "Duncan, calm down." He said, his voice gentle in an attempt at being reassuring, "Listen to me, from the sounds of it there isn't exactly a choice and he needs a home. We have plenty of rooms here now and no real reason for why we can't take a little one in."

Duncan looked down at the hands that were holding onto him and shook his head, "B-But... you can't... you can't bring something that small near me... I will only hurt him. Please Dad..." He murmured.

"Duncan... You wouldn't help him you doing better these days and..."

"Better! I am still me! I still have this awful blood inside of me! You can't just say 'I am doing better' and think that can live around a small kid! One bad day and I could..." His words trailed off, his eyes going wide at the thought before he yanked his arms free of his father's grasp, "No... I don't want to have a brother!" He snapped before he turned on his heel and stomped toward the door.

"Duncan! Wait a second!" June called out after his teen aged son...

The sound of a slamming door and a little crack of wood was all that he got for a reply... June lifted a hand up to rub at his temples as though he were developing a headache. Well... hopefully he would be able to try to talk to him again before the little one arrived.

A Moment of Panic & A Listening Ear

(( Chai is played by Dg ))

Duncan really wasn't exactly thinking on where he was heading he was just... going somewhere, as fast as his clawed feet would bring him away from his home, away from his traitor of a father, away from the idea of getting a little sibling, away from everything that he considered to be 'not right' in his world... and when his eyes started to finally focus again, when he was able to comprehend he realized where he'd run to... that comprehension only coming to him after he had al but burst through the door's of Chai's shop.

Jayva and Old Grandma were seated in the main room and both looked up at the sound of Duncan entering.

"Oh, hello dearie. Chai is upstairs, just go up and knock - third door to the left." the old woman cooed in her little old lady voice. Well at least she wasn't angry with him. "And shut the door on your way, hrm? It gets chilly this time of year."

Duncan blink two of his three eyes, looking the door then closed it behind himself, "S-Sorry..." He murmured, feeling a bit foolish for making such an entrance. His yellow had turned to look at the girl, an ever present distrustful in it as he walked toward the stairs as he was told to go and find Chai. He had apparently wanted to see him, to the point that even running blindly he'd ended up here.

When Duncan knocked on the door of the room, the channeler's soft voice issued out of it. "Enter." Chai knew who it was already, and had before the spawn even knocked - he could feel and hear his presence. However, politeness dictated he ignore that knowledge.

Duncan starred at the door for a long moment, wondering if he were being bothersome coming by without so much as an indication that he was coming... without calling, without... anything. He shook his head before stepping into the room. Chai was one of few people that was able to really calm him, it could be why he had come here... after what had happened and caused him to be filled with panic... a new emotion for him, one to add to the list of emotions he didn't like.

The teen lay shirtless - as usual - his bed, and was just marking his place in a book and sitting up to deal with company. Smiling slightly, he crossed his legs and backed up a bit to leave Duncan room on the bed. "Shut and lock the door and you can come sit down." he told the other, his voice soft and warm. "My sister sometimes gets lost trying to find her room and while I don't usually mind her wandering in, you might."

Duncan did as he was told before walking over to sit down next to Chai, resting his hands in his lap before looking over at the other teen for a long moment. He remained quiet, trying to get his racing heart under control before he finally spoke, "I'm sorry for intruding."

"S'okay." the dark one said softly, reaching over to gently pat Duncan's knee.

Duncan looked over at Chai for a long moment before sighing and started to tap his sharp nails together, "I got... awful news today... I ended up running here without even realizing where I was going until I was here." He murmured, giving a bit of a sigh. His heart was beating at a normal pace but his two lower eyes seemed trouble, the other just... glaring as it was prone to doing.

"Oh? And what was the news?" he asked gently, opposite hand starting to glow somewhat as he softly rubbed Duncan's knee. The gesture was mostly meant to soothe and the knee was the closest part to him, otherwise he'd probably have touched his arm or hand or something.

Duncan gave a little jump at Chai's hand, finding it to be relaxing and a bit distracting as well... and somehow had his mind wandering for a moment to Adriel who caused him to feel just as mixed up, "Hn... I'm... getting a sibling." He muttered when he was able to focus on the conversation again.

"Ah.....and you are upset because you're worried about hurting the child?"

He nodded his head, giving a sighing sound, "Something... that small shouldn't be around me." He murmured, rather sad of that... he didn't like the idea of them being around him for long, the idea of one living with him was scary...

"And what else is upsetting you about this?" Chai asked softly.

"I don't... want to hurt something little and... I don't want him to hate me for hurting him." He said, looking down at his clawed hand and flexed it, "Why would my Dad allow another kid into our house knowing what I am like? He has so many scars because of me and hes bigger then I am!"

"Maybe your dad didn't have that much of a choice in the matter? Many places on Gaia don't exactly let people choose whether or not they're receiving a child from them. Could he maybe have been forced into it and some higher power is to blame?"

He shook his head, "Then they are fools too." He muttered, finding the idea of a higher power giving him something small to deal with as rather... annoying. He found himself lifting a hand so that he could chew on one of his nails to distract himself... and to wear it down a little.

Chai smiled softly. "Maybe it will not be as bad as you think? You've yet to meet the child."

"Or maybe it will be worse... the kid hasn't had to meet me either." He muttered... then looked over at Chai, "You sound rather... optimistic..." He rather envied the other teen's ability to sound so happy, to sound as if things could be alright...

"I am trying to be reassuring. I'm a realist most of the time, and going by vague logic on this matter." the bald one explained. "Most shops that involve higher powers choosing the guardian of the child usually seem to involve magic - and lots of it. A child birthed of magic might have traits that might make it possible for the child to survive unscathed in your home."

"Or they weren't paying attention and just dumped the kid off. Not like where I come from were ones to really care where they sent kids... Ahh... not that I don't like my Dad or anything, just saying the people there are all dicks." He spat out, all three eyes narrowing as he thought on one of them in particular...

Chai's hand tightened a bit on Duncan's knee and the glow in his other hand intensified as he spoke. "You shall have to just wait and see how things play out. At the very least, you might have to spend more time out of the house. That could be good for you."

Duncan felt his body relaxing again, two of his three eyes sinking closed, "I think I would become bothersome to you." He murmured, "If I left the house to much I might be underfoot a lot... its so relaxing around you." He felt... relaxed now, a bit on the sleepy side even as now that he was relaxed the aftermath of running all the way here seemed to be catching up with him.

"I've told you before. I like company." the other whispered. "And I can't go out that often."

"Your lucky... you know how to deal with me." He said, giving a bit of a smile before he found himself leaning against Chai in a half dozing state, "I don't... think it would be bad, hanging out with you. You seem cool enough... I don't know what I should do around him... he confuses me." He muttered, making only half sense as he thought about the only other friend he had his own age.

The dark skinned teen smiled softly, almost automatically wrapping two of his arms around Duncan's shoulders to pull him a bit closer. He scooted back so he could lean against the wall and both of them could stretch out a bit. "People can be very confusing at times." he agreed softly.

He nodded, "I think so, yes." He murmured before giving a little smile, "But... hes one of few who dealt with me even when I was mean and couldn't speak well... I used to make him cry a lot though." He couldn't help but laugh at that. Adriel had always seemed the cutest to him when he was crying... what a strange thought.

Chai nodded. "I can understand that kind of closeness. I've had friends like that....long, long time ago."

Duncan gave a smile, "I can be... a friend..." He murmured giving a yawn then started to doze off, his yellow eye remaining alert... starring at Chai in a rather unsure manner. It wasn't sure what to think of the four armed teen... he was to confusing and thus warranted starring above all else!

A Baby Sister Brother

Duncan had come home after a while, after he felt ready to deal with his father that the sibling that he was supposed to be getting. He was... nervous but wanted to believe his friend, to believe that there was in fact the possibility for him to be able to have a sibling and him not hurt that small child. He paused at the door to his house, starring at the knob that would bring him inside, hand almost shaking at the prospect of going inside after the way that he had left. His father was going to be mad at him, was going to yell at him for leaving in anger and for not coming home until the next day.

He lowered his arm to the side, feeling his heart racing in his chest and a shiver go up his spine... he couldn't go inside his father was mad, it would mean more arguing and that mean his temper would rise and he would do other foolish things. He was starring down at his feet, trying to figure out what to do next when he finally just did it! He lifted his hand again, turned the door knob, and pushed it open so that they could step inside and he was greeted by darkness, silence, and a... warm sort of feeling, a good feeling. He closed the door behind himself and strode forward through the darkness, to where that feeling was originating from and his trio of eyes went quite wide as he looked down at them.

His father was slouched on couch, sleeping deeply with a small pink haired creature in his arms. Duncan blinked a couple times and reached a clawed hand out toward the kid. He thought that he was getting a little brother he thought to himself when his finger tips touched hair that was far to pink to be able to belong to a male. It drew a soft sound from the small form, waking Keirnan and drew his attention and golden gaze up to Duncan.

The small boy blinked a couple times, head tilting to the side and he gave a bit of a smile his tiny hands lifting, reaching out toward his older brother, "Ahh...?"

Duncan gave a jolt, taking a half step back before slowly creeping a little closer and reached his hands out to take Keirnan's tiny hands in his own larger ones. It was a strange sensation, to touch someone so tiny. He was so weak, he could feel it just by looking at him, touching him, he was... vulnerable and breakable and the wrath spawn was afraid just touching him as though he were afraid his hands would hurt him just by holding onto him. The taller male squatted down so that he was closer to being on the same level as his new sibling and the moment he did the small, pinked haired boy was sliding from June's arms and into Duncan's arms instead.

The wrath spawn froze in place, his entire form trembling as the little one snuggled against him, hugged him, nuzzling against him in an affectionate manner that was foreign to Duncan. It was...strange, to get such attention from someone other then Adriel. These hugs were more chaste though, more innocent, it was just a tiny child seeking warmth and love and nothing else. He felt nothing from Keirnan that made him dislike the child, no feeling of him being superior, to worry about him being dangerous. He was just... a tiny little boy with very weird coloring, "Hello." He murmured finally, wrapping his arms around Keirnan, lifting him up into his arms and moved to sit down on the couch with him.

It wasn't long before the trio was sleeping as a group on the couch. Keirnan was in Duncan's arms, sleeping against his chest while Duncan leaned into June who was slouched over. It was a strange looking group but for the moment they all seemed quite content. It was strangely cute to behold.

Hello Again: Part One

(( Adriel belongs to Jayoku, RP done on MSN ))

His hands were starting to hurt from wringing them together in anxiety. HIs throat felt dry his heart was threatening to choke him and drown out all noise. But he had dragged himself here...to the laboratory...only for one reason. To see Duncan. Duncan had done so much for himl....and he...had done...THAT...to repay him. The memory of what he had done only forty-eight hours prior haunted him dark circles were under his eyes as he couldn't forgive himself for his actions. And now he was standing in the hall...wringing his hands together in front of Duncan's door. He had to tell him...it would hurt...more than anything..he figured he would probably be on the pian receiving end but he couldn't blame or stop Duncan if he did fly into a rage. He was sure he would feel betrayed as well.

Still ..he couldn't ,,,no he wouldn't lie to Duncan...he was always honest with him and he wasn't going to let that one incident stop him. But...still..he himself had only just gotten over the minor wounds he had inflicted on himself from the kidnapping. Duncan had received so much worse....Still... he reached out tentatively and lightly rapped on the door. And waited.

Duncan was feeling a bit better now. When he had first come to the Labs he'd been out of it, unresponsive for the first day and as though his body knew it needed to compensate for its weakness it had gone through a growth spurt. The spurt of growth had helped a great deal, gave the wrath spawn the boost that he needed to really start to recover... when he woke he'd been a bit confused as to where he was, what had happened, only knew that his back was aching something fierce as were plenty of other places. He'd felt as though he'd been hit by a Mac truck... but he was getting better. He could get up and around on his own, a good thing as he didn't want anymore help from the techs then was absolutely necessary. The visits from the Fallen were frequent and a bit annoying, he didn't like being checked on so often as it made him feel like a child.

When he heard a knock on the door he figured that all it was, turning his three eyes to give it a glare. It was a miracle, if a half demon could believe in such a thing, that he had all his eyes intact despite the wounds he'd sustained there. He pushed to his feet and walked over to the door, lifting one clawed hand to run it through his hair.

It was much shorter now, the techs having just cut it off due to the blood that was matted in it, it was tucked behind his ears and horns which had grown out before he opened the door, "Look Fallen I don't need anything damn it. Just go... away..." His words trailed off as he found himself looking down at Adriel instead of Almas, something that had his anger subsiding and he leaned against the door, "Ahh, its you." He murmured.

Adriel looked sharply up as he heard Duncan's agry voice, he winced outwardly at the sound and smiled sheepishly as Duncan recognized that it was him.

"Ah..I hope I am not intruding...?" He inquired in a small voice. Despite being comfertable around Duncan his nervousness stemmed from his confession he had to make. Even Chii and Fuu were acting bizarrely as they only reached out and brushed Duncan's hands for the briefest of touches before retreating back to Adriel's side. He tried to look Duncan square in the eyes...but felt that glower of his third and turned his head aside in shame. His face flushing only slightly.

"I...w..was hoping to see y..ou up...glad to s,..see you feeling better." He continued unable to make Duncan's gaze.

The red skinned male gave a shrug of his shoulders as he moved away from the door, walking away from it so that Adriel could come in. Walking away from him would reveal the markings on his back. They were held together with a multitude of stitches, to two long marks where his wings used to be, "I am doing well enough." He said, settling down on the end of the bed in a slow manner that said while he was moving around it was a new thing, something he was still getting used too, "What about you? Are you doing alright? He didn't hurt you to much, did he?"

Adriel hadn't really realized just how big Duncan was till he was walking away, a bit intimidating by his growth spurt he dallied in the doorway before finally edging inside. One would think he was approaching a cliff edge rather than entering a room. The scars on his back made him blanch....a shudder ran down his spine as the questions were turned to him.
"N..n...ot ...in..the ..sa...ame way.."

He murmured as he took another couple of steps inside trying to steal himself against the urge to flee. He hadn't really told anyone what the spider demon had done to him..he was sure the Technicians figured it out..they had been rather thorough in their examination of him. He moved closer he really wanted to put an arm around Duncan to comfort him. Maybe he shouldn't tell him today...maybe when he was out of the labs. But..he knew that if he didn't tell him now it would eat away at him...it had been since it had happened.

"A...are...you in a lot of pain?" He inquired out of politeness.

Duncan gave Adriel a very strange look before he lifted a hand up and gave him a pat on the head, "Your lucky that your cute." He told his friend with a shake of his head. That had been a question with an answer that should be very obvious and as such he didn't bother to answer it. Instead he looked his friend over closely, inspecting him. He looked as though he were doing alright even if Chii and Fuu were behaving in a way that was odd for them... then again they had been different every time he'd run across them the passed few times.

Adriel was comforted by the touch, his face flushing slightly as he knew that he really wanted those strong hands to wrap around him...pull him in.... he winced...remembering why he was here...it was his ...genetics that got him in this situation in the first place.

"Um....d.do you mind if i sit ?" he inquired he felt as if his was breathless...his lungs weren't behaving properly it felt like they were trying to choke life out of him. Every day he felt more and more in-tune with his nature. He couldn't help it. Maybe his..hormones hit a tad late...but he certianly knew that what he wanted wasn't exactly agreeing with his brain the conflict was agonizing. If he didn't tell Duncan...well he was certian they could develop a relationship....but if he did..he felt his little dream sinking into the black depths of despair.

Duncan nodded, using his arms which hadn't been to terrible scraped up to help to move himself over so that Adriel could sit next to him, "Here you go." He said, deciding that he should probably do just that. He claimed to be alright but he looked rather weak, breathless. Maybe he'd been hurt more then he'd claimed?

"Are you sure that your alright? You and them," He motioned at the tentacles, "Seem a bit... off today."

He licked his lower lip nervously Duncan could be unsually perceptive at times. He at first nodded his head and then shook his head...he was so confused with his mind and what his body wanted it took him a couple moments to gather himself together enough for him to saw something.

"N...ot...really...t..thats..wh..why I am here.." he murmured finally the works sounding choked as if it was too hard to really say the words.

"Ahh... haha. I suppose that's true, huh?" He said, lifting a hand to scratch the back of his head feeling foolish. He really had no idea that Adriel had already gone home, having no idea how long he'd been here himself. He was recovering by sleeping away a lot of his time so everything was kind of blurring together for him. The days were all mixed and blurred, "Do you know when you will get to head home? I am told 'we will see'." That was said in a grumbling tone, he wanted to leave but the date he could go kept getting pushed back.

Adriel felt a pang of guilt. He looked down at his hands he was twisting them again a new habit he seemed to have developed when he was nervous.

"I...i've already been home...i...its been about...three..days...Duncan....I..m...sorry.." He mumbled. He felt like he was going to cry. He really wasn't good at this. He felt like a child coming to confess to the boogie man that he was terrified of him. He felt guilty for getting off with so little done to him. He felt guilty for what had happened int he three days he had managed to go home. Still...Chii...reached out and lay a limb on Adriel's arm trying to still him...Fuu on the other hand snaked over to gently prod against Duncan. Even their actions seems...so...weird...nearly sympathetic...or apologetic.

Duncan's eyes widened slight, "Three days?" He asked, sounding a bit as though he didn't quite believe it before he nodded, "Been sleeping so much I really didn't realize. Ahh... well I guess that's good, that you could head out." He said, "No need to apologize, I will be heading home when they think I am strong enough." Strange to find himself unable to be strong enough to do something. Strength normally something he had in abundance.

He looked down at at Fuu who had finally started to act more like the tentacles used to. He lifted a hand so that he could stroke his fingertips over Fuu gently.

Encouraged the limb nuzzled into Duncan's palm. There was...something almost pathetic...like it was begging to not be hurt.

"I...D...duncan..." He started but he stopped feeling his heart thud into his throat again.
"Duncan...if...I.....told you...I...apprecai..te you coming to find...find me...that out...of everyone....I was...the most relieved and yet devastated...that it was you...would you understand?" He started a sigh lingered at the end...as if he was finally coming to terms with what he had to tell Duncan.

He watched Fuu, lifting the tentacle up to press a kiss to it as though he were trying to assure it before looking over at Adriel, "When I heard about it on TV I couldn't just sit by." He murmured, "Didn't think I'd actually find you... I was just lucky." He gave a slightly pained laugh, "Well... somewhat lucky at least."

He starred down at Fuu before he finally asked, "Why... devastated?" That part he didn't so much understand, why would his trying to save Adriel being something devastating? Surely he didn't want to stay with that violent spider?

Adriel took another breath in between his teeth slowly as if he was trying to relax, Fuu continued to beg for some sort of attention whilst Chii went to stroking Adriel's arm.

"I...couldn't...b..bare it. I....didn't..want...out...of..everyone...t..to see you get....hurt. I...h..ad been...with..'him'...for..a while. I..k..knew what he could do...i.seeing you..c..come through..th..that door..beat up...bloody..wounded...it..made m...my he..heart w..ant to scream..yet...am..I selfish for...being elated beyond any common sense...t..hat...you came fo..for me?" He finally moved his hands to his forhead and pushed his hair out of his face it dropped back into his face stubbornly. He licked his upper lip again before he finally forced himself to look at Duncan.

Duncan gave a little growling sound, "I am... disappointed in myself... that I like that spider beat me up so easily." He said between clenched teeth. He hadn't wanted that, wanted to be able to protect Adriel, to save him, and he'd gotten knocked around as though he were just a child. He hated it so much, that he'd had to wait until the spider was completely distracted to even be able to wound Reshmi, "I'm sorry I failed at the rescue... that I didn't get there fast enough." He said, his attention on Fuu, petting the tentacle, nuzzling and kissing it, ways to distract himself from his own failings.

Adriel squirmed a bit the attention Duncan was giving Fuu....well he was a bit annoyed and jealous. He wanted those lips on his own.."Don't...be..sorry...it..c.could of been anyone..that...d..demon got ahold off...I..was..j..just unlucky." He murmured he didn't want Duncan to shoulder the blame. "i..am..g..grateful...t..to you Duncan.. m..more than I ..c..can express in words. " He continued in a low tone. It took him a bit of a hesitant moment to remove his gaze from Duncan kissing Fuu. He felt his throat close up...tears were welling in his eyes.

":I..." There was a sharp crack in the word...his voice wasn't stable enough to really express what he wanted to say. He balled his hands into fist and shoved them into eyes trying to stop the tears. He couldn't act like this...it felt like he was saying goodbye rather than expressing his love to him. And in a way it was both true. He was expecting the anger expecting Duncan to feel betrayed but he wanted Duncan to know how much he meant to him...even if it seemed trivial.

Duncan lifted his gaze to look over at Adriel, hesitantly but seemed to be assured by the other spawn's words. He wasn't mad at him for being unable to do more... even if Duncan was mad at himself for it. It was a nice feeling, to know that Adriel didn't think him weak despite how easily the spider demon had trounced him, "I am glad that your free of him. Hopefully someone will deal with him, so that he can't catch or hurt anyone elses." As much as he loved to dream about the spider demon bleeding out from the wound he'd gotten but he doubted something so slight would take him out.

He shifted, turning when it looked as though Adriel was suddenly trying to fight off tears and he lifted a hand up to stroke a hand over his hair, "Its alright. Just take a breath." He murmured, not wanting for Adriel to cry.

The touching was a comfort he felt himself leaning into the touch, nearly yearning for it. He hated himself more for it. It took him...several minutes...to finally regain his composure, and even when he pulled his hands away from his face there was evidence that tears had leaked out anyway. His breathing was becoming more even, but he still looked distraught.
"D..Duncan..." the word was nearly breathless as it left his lips. He went back to twisting his hands together again, pausing only a couple of times when it looked like he was going to speak, but nothing came.

"...w..would...y...ou..believe me...if I..told you...I ..loved...you? Bel..believe...that...i..if anything ..w..were to happen t..oo.." His voice cracked again and he had to pause...and breath again...until he was able to continue
"t..oo..you...I...my...w..world...would...mea...mean little...?" He inquired his voice small as if he was too scared to speak above a whisper or loose control of his voice again.

The wrath spawn's trio of eyes got a bit wide at that and he turned away, a bit of a flush on his cheeks, "Ahh... I suppose I would believe it." He murmured, then again he knew little about love and stuff like that himself, always so wrapped up by his anger... but he knew he cared for Adriel, that he got possessive of him at times, enjoyed being with him. That stuff was balanced skewed when he recalled the times he felt the overwhelming desire to leave marks on his friend or the desire to make him cry when they were younger... his perceptions of things were a bit skewed by his weird nature... so he would believe Adriel because he didn't understand the stuff himself and believed if anyone could it would be someone like Adriel.

He moved his hand to lay it over one of his friend's hands, giving it a squeeze, "I'm... sorry I rushed in without thinking... sorry I got hurt and made you worry about me... I have times where its a bit hard for me to think and plan ahead." He sounded a bit embarrassed by his haste.

Adriel quivered under Duncan's hand, his trembling was evident. Chii stopped stroking unsure of what to do, Fuu even paused with its insestant need to attention and pulled back from Duncan, both looked unsure confused.
"...D..on.'t..." He managed to gasp out he wanted to pull his hand away suddenly angry with himself for letting Duncan think it was his fault.
"I...i..its .n..not y...our...f..fault." He breathed between clenched teeth. "P..l..lease...s..stop..b...blaming..y..ourself." His own nature was to love..not fight. Perhaps love in a more bodily way...but he knew he cared for the boy..no...man, more than anything else in the world. And it was like a bleeding wound...punched through his lung causing him to want to break down and cry.. it took him another couple of minutes to compose himself once more before he finally dredged up the reason why he came here.

"D..uncan...I..know...and..accept who and what you a...are..:" He started..perhaps seeking a bit of sympathy but he didn't expect any.
"B...but...I don't...e..expect..the..s...ame..f..for me.." He trailed off...the words on the tips of his tongue...but he swallowed them down. Unable to speak them just yet.

It confused Duncan, how easily people could accept him despite what he was and all of what he'd done in his life... he was a dangerous creature and yet everyone always saw him in a good light. It was odd... and weird to him, he used to dislike himself greatly and what he was capable of though he was starting to finally at least grow to be content. He gave a little smile, "Thank you for that... accepting what I am." He murmured, before he turned to watch him closely again, "Why... don't you expect the same?" He asked, a little curiosity showing in two of his three eyes, the third one just suspicious as it always was.

Adriel took another deep yet...shuddering breath...as if it hurt to breath.
"B..ecause...w..h..at I ...do..is..inexcusable..." He had wanted to say unforgivable. But he couldn't bring himself to say it out loud, it hurt too much to even think it..
"Du..ncan...do...y.you know...Adhara?" He asked finally, the topic seemed to shift suddenly...he hoped it would be obvious enough why the shift.... but he couldn't count on it.

Duncan couldn't help but give Adriel a strange look, "Inexcusable? I can't exactly say that between us what you've done is worse." At least nothing he knew of or could imagine off hand could be worse then what he'd done in his time... not that he wanted to share any of that with Adriel. It was a private matter that very few people knew. He didn't want anymore people then was necessary to know he had blood on his hands.

"Hmm? Adhara?" He gave a nod of his head, "I've met her on a couple of occasions." He said, wondering where that came from.

While he looked a little confused the Yellow eye in his forehead set to glaring at Adriel in an untrusting sort of way.

Adriel swallowed the lump in his throat he looked to Duncan spotted the glaring untrustful eye and instantly averted his gaze. It made him shiver uncontrollably. Like the eye knew...but wouldn't share its information with Duncan.
"D..duncan..." he managed to squeak out...he hated to speak..he hated how he sounded,
"I....we...had..."..he couldn't bring it out. that dreaded word. Sex.
Ironic that he couldn't form a three letter word with his mouth.
"A..adhara...and..I...." He couldn't do it ..he was trembling so hard that when he finally did manage to squeak out the words it was so soft..even he wasn't sure if he had spoken them.
"H...ad....s..ex.."
He paused ready for the explosion.

Duncan tilted his head to the side, two eyes going wide and the other gave Adriel a sort of glare that if looks could kill the Lust spawn would have been knocked flat. Duncan lifted a hand up to his chest as though he were trying to figure out where the pain had come from. It was... a strange sort of pain, something different then physical pain so it was weird for him. He looked away from Adrielfor a moment, down at his feet on the floor, "I see." He murmured, pushing to his feet.

He felt slightly... dizzy. It wasn't a good feeling... his temper was a half step behind the pain that had flared in his chest and he had to take a step away from Adriel, a rushed one that caused the wounds in his back to twinge. That pain caused red to tint the edges of his vision, "I... see... so... you like her to then?" He asked, trying to figure it out. It was... infuriating. Did he love Adhara? Was his love for her different then the love Adriel claimed to have for him? Maybe it was greater, more important? After all Adriel had only ever kissed him nothing like that... was he jealous? He blinked rapidly as though he were just now realizing the twinge in his chest was just that, it was jealousy... and he felt an almost blinding rage that was focused at someone who wasn't here. Adhara... she was his friend but she had done that with Adriel... was trying to steal Adriel... Duncan clenched his hands into first, his nails biting into his palms as a growl escaped him.

Hello Again: Part Two

He had expected it...but he still cringed and tried not to curl up into a ball so he could just die. Nothing...hurt as much as this...seeing Duncan angry and upset at him was more than he could bear. And when the question was hurled at him he physically flinched like Ducan had thrown a book at him.

"D..u..duncan..." he squeaked out he looked to his hands in his lap Chii and Fuu shuddered in the in the air around him as if unsure if they expected an attack on Adriel or not. Adriel couldn't bring himself to meet Duncan's accusing look.

"I...d...don't...w..want..you...to.be..angry ..w..with her...i..its..my..fault...I..older..." he could take the blame...even if he felt the both shared part of it..due to their...annoying genetics.
"P...l...lease...don..nt ta..take this..out...on .h..her ..I..." He stopped his breath shuddering in his lungs, "I...s..she....o..nly...s..stopped..b..by..to...s..ee..if...I...w..was okay..." He murmured knowing having to explain all of this was going to be like under a torturers device. "I....was..in...t..the...shower..a..and..she..sn..snuck into m..my room. O..ne ..thing...led...to..another.." As soon as he said those last words he regretted it. it sounded like he had done it willingingly, eagerly even. He covered his face with his hands, unsure of what to say now or what to do.
"I..if..you h..hate me...I..und..er.stand...bu...t do..n't...hate...her...its..not..h..her fault." He managed to breath between fingers.

Duncan's body shifted and there was a scraping sound as the claws on his feet dug into the tile floor under them, a trembling started to become visible as well as Adriel spoke... and he said more and more, far to much for his own good. He never denied it... he did like Adhara! He shook his head when he started to defend the girl, wanting him to stop, to stop defending her... but he didn't... and then to say that he could hate Adriel but not to hate her... his body gave another shiver, teeth clenching as he took a step forward toward the other spawn, "You should... go now." He snarled, lifting one hand up and pointed at the door to his room. He would give him one chance to leave.

Adriel looked up once he saw the anger on the others face the rage there. He knew he was pointing to the door he resisted the urge to cheat and use his pheromones...he had some what control of it now...as long as he wasn't startled anyway. He opened his mouth to speak feeling like the world had open up around him and was now swallowing him whole. But..one stubborn piece of him refused to let go of that ledge.

Chii..surprisingly enough moved forward and so did Fuu simultaneously, there was nothing aggressive in the way they moved, it was more...sad. Like they realized that ..they had been apart of what caused this mess.

"No...do what you want to me..." He whispered his face still looking at his hands which now were clenched into fists.

"I..if I le..eave now...I..w..won't...you...wont... want...to..s..see me again." He murmured he finally brought his gaze up to meed Duncan's if a bit timidly.

"I..don.t...want..that...I...can't....express..how...s.sorry I am Duncan...nothing...I..can..say...or..d..do..can..probably erase..w..what I have done..." He continued another shuddering breath coming along like he was drowning in a countless billion things he wanted to say.

"But... I..love YOU..." He put as much emphasis on the word as he could. "N...nothing..can..or..will ..change that..." He finally lowered his gaze...unable to focus on that accusing raging third eye.

Duncan tried to calm himself, dragging in breaths but Adriel wasn't leaving... it wasn't making anything easy to have him still there, still talking, and it was getting harder and harder to understand him. His rage was causing him to only hear the thudding of his heart in his ears, the rush of blood, and his vision was tinting red. When Adriel lowered his gaze, showing to submissive of an attitude to the wrath spawn.

He meant only to take one step toward him, wanting to intimidate him into leaving by moving closer, by growling... but he moved faster then he meant to, farther, and his hands lifted up to grab hold of Adriel by his shoulders... a few more steps and he had the smaller, younger spawn against the closest wall.

Even if he had ..mentally prepared for it, expected it ...it wasn't anything like experiencing it. He breathed rushed out of his lungs as his back smashed against the wall he was having trouble trying to breath the claws in his shoulders only a too painful reminder of what Duncan was capable of. Chii and Fuu reacted out of instinct. wrapping themselves around Duncan's wrists in order to yank them off of Adriel. Adriel struggled to speak but could only shake his head his forehead slits opened since he had no control even as he shut his eyes tightly willing the pheromones to not come out. He didn't want Duncan to ...feel cheated out of his anger...he deserved nothing less than this. Adriel knew he deserved much worse. He tried to smile past the pain but it faltered, when he was finally able to breath properly he raised his eyes to look at Duncan as if he was wondering what he was going to do next.

Duncan was breathing hard, what he'd done required little effort given his strength though his body was still weak after what he'd been through... it didn't stop him from pushing Adriel harder against the wall and up, taking him off the ground... and then his form started to shake harder as he tried his damnedest to catch his breath. He was gulping in air and was seriously trying to calm himself, to keep himself from hurting Adriel... he didn't want to even though he could feel his claws digging into him. When the tentacles grabbed him it only caused his emotions to go more haywire... they were trying to stop him... it was a good thing, he needed to be stopped... what he thought was being smothered by what he felt and what he felt was the cause of what he was doing.

He could smell something sweet all of a sudden... it was a familiar scent, one that belonged to Adriel and caused his head to spin that much more, another growl coming from him even as he tried and failed to calm himself.

He was trying to calm himself as well...he knew what was coming, but still..
"C..chii..Fu.u...l..let..go.." he ordered the tentacles to release Duncan's wrists and they hesitated as if wondering if Adriel had lost his mind. But...they did...if reluctantly.
"D.un..can..I..love..you.." He whispered the words but they were close enough no one else need to hear them but the one lifting him off the ground.
"I trust you...I deserve whate..ever it is..you plan t..to do..to me..just...be..lieve..that I only..love...you..." It felt like a wasted breath when the wrath based child was in such a blinding sort of rage...

Duncan's eyes narrowed as he looked up at the span he had pinned to the wall... then all of his eyes narrowed at once, as though being told repeatedly that he was loved was annoying him, causing his emotions to get more and more skewed. He was... loved. Adriel loved him but he'd done 'that' with someone else. He didn't like it, didn't want Adriel being so friendly with others, didn't even like the idea of Adriel being nice to other people! Adriel was his friend, his... he felt another twinge in his chest. He didn't want to share him! Why should he have to share? If Adriel really loved him why did he do things like that with other people? He gave a low growl in his throat as something suddenly came to mind, whispering to him an idea... and he was to far gone, lost in his swirling emotions to even consider how bad the idea was... he stepped closer, leaning closer and his mouth opened up and then snapped closed, sharp teeth sinking into Adriel's shoulder. He had always had the move overwhelming desire to leave marks on Adriel to who the spawn was his... maybe if hes given into that desire earlier others would have realized that he wasn't up for grabs, maybe then that Spider and Adhara wouldn't have taken what was his...

Adriel's eyes widened, he certainly hadn't expected that. He let out a gasp of pain, it hurt...so much. He wanted to squirm and wriggle out of Duncan's hold. But he forced himself to stay still, this was his punishment for betraying Duncan..he kept repeating to himself. Even so Chii and Fuu were not liking this turn out.. the writhed in the air, knowing that Adriel had ordered them to not hurt Duncan but Duncan was hurting Adriel. It hurt to move but even so he tried..tried very hard to lift a hand... move an arm...with a shoulder not currently being bitten upon to grasp at Duncan's pant leg. He needed to grab something...anything the cloth would do. he clenched it like he clenched his teeth and closed his eyes trying to focus past the pain..remind himself that he deserved it. The leaking of pheromones was twisting around the air around them, Adriel had thought that with Duncan biting him it meant it was withheld, he was sure it was still.. inside of him...there was no way that Duncan would react this way...to it...would he?

Duncan snarled around Adriel's shoulder, able to feel the way the tentacles were moving, the way they wanted to react but weren't being allowed too... and then he was backing off. Adriel was released, dropped down from where he was pressed against the wall and left in a heap where he landed. He then took another step back, lifting a hand to wipe it against his mouth as he started to slowly come out of his swirling rage as he felt a sense of triumph.

The bite ...once released gushed blood for a moment it dripped down Adriel's shoulder soaking his shirt, he felt dizzy his hand still clutched to Duncan's pant leg like it was a life preserver, his whole body trembled perhaps from the shock, perhaps from memories he didn't want to remember welling up. The spider demon had bit him in such ways...now ..Duncan did. It...was different though..more ruthless perhaps one could say even careless but he only slumped his head down wondering if Duncan's anger was fading or only getting warmed up.

"I won't.... you know." Duncan murmured, kneeling down in front of Adriel before he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the shoulder that he'd just injured before he drew back, "I won't share you." He collapsed into a sitting position, his form trembling a little. He looked at the wound before he lifted a his hand up to run it up to touch the wound as though his conscience mind was wrapping around the fact that he'd done it... he'd actually done it, he'd left a mark on Adriel.

Adriel flinched, he had tried very hard not to.but he did anyway, the pain was a bit too close to old memories. His breathing was ragged as Duncan's words seem to seep into his brain he licked his upper lip not trusting his voice, "I..am..yours..." He managed to murmur completely submissive at this point. He'd do just about anything for Duncan.

Duncan nodded, leaning forward to rest his forehead against Adriel's chest, "I'm... sorry... that I hurt you but... not..." He murmured, a little confused about it. He didn't like it and yet it made him somehow happy. His mind was spinning a bit and his chest was heaving but was slowly starting to ease, he was starting to calm down again. His anger came in spurts but now that his rage was easing he was starting to feel exhausted.

He was starting to regret so much movement so soon after what had happened with the spider demon.

Adriel took an uneasy breath, perhaps now ..he could explain..but it didn't matter. He supposed the details would only muddle things..and make Duncan angry again. He knew what was important..what had transpired and that was enough. His small frame shuddered as he finally went to press a hand to the wound. It hurt. A lot. It would probably scar...and he didn't seem to mind, His other hand moved to stroke Duncan's hair.

"I...i'm sorry I ..did..t..that to you...I...should..of waited..till you were..b..better..but...I..couldn't...bare the..t.thought of keeping it..f..from you any...longer." He murmured.

He shook his head, "Better this way..." He murmured, lifting his gaze up so he could look at Adriel and gave a smile, "I am... tired, weak... I am not as dangerous now." He murmured, glad for the fact that he was so tired that he couldn't really attack as he normally might. He would hate to think what he could have done were he feeling good, were he no longer in pain, able to move like normal.

Adriel still felt like he had cheated out of a true punishment, he swallowed a mouthful of air a low chuckling that even surprised himself escaped his lips.
"I...wonder how..I am going to ...explain..this...to m..mom.." He spoke shakily as if trying to shake off the pain even though he knew it wasn't going to ebb much.
Instead he felt somewhat relieved, relieved that Duncan...still wanted him.
At least..he thought that was it.
"Dun..can..do...y..ou forgive me?" He inquired in a small voice

Duncan let his eyes sink half closed, "I... don't know... its hard to do so." He murmured as he nuzzled against him for a moment before scooting closer so that he could lean against the wall next to Adriel, "I think I could... easy to forgive you... I feel like I want to stay near to you but her..." He gave a shiver at the thought of running across Adhara anytime soon, "Need to avoid her for a while."

Adriel went to cup Duncan's cheek he forced Duncan to look up at him, "D..duncan...believe me...I am at fault...she is..only a minor...and didn't...know...any better..." He felt like he was a broken record he didn't want to start things afresh with Duncan but he had to get it across it was his fault not hers.

"Be angry with me...please.." He murmured as he leaned in to kissed the wrath spawn lightly on the lips.

Duncan gave a soft sound at the kiss, feeling himself relax further, "Its harder to be mad at you." He said, "I know you to well... and like you." He leaned into him, careful not to press to close to where Adriel was wounded, "Do you need something for that? A bandage?" They were in the right place for it, to have Adriel's wound looked at and wrapped up.... maybe cleaned so that he didn't get an infection or something.

Adriel winced yeah it hurt like a thousand knives still stabbing at it. Why did Duncan have to ruin the mood? He felt a bit saddened at the word like, but he guessed it would be a long while before 'love' flowed from Duncan's mouth.
"I guess it.should be looked at...its...still bleeding?" He asked as he couldn't bring himself to look.

He moved closer to him, looking at the wound and gave a nod, "A little yes." He murmured, it was only the fact that the wound hurt Adriel that made Duncan regret what he'd done... even if his rage had fueled the attack it was a thought that was always lingering in the back of his mind. He pushed up to his feet, giving a little hiss as it caused a twinged to go through the two marks on his back. He had to put a hand against the wall to steady himself before he held the other one out to Adriel, offering him a hand up off the floor.

Adriel looked up took the hand offered too him as he wasn't exactly sure if he could manage it on his own either. Chii and Fuu ...were still reluctant to react...not sure about Duncan...and what had transpired between them. They kept their distance. Adriel wanted to lean into that muscular frame and lay there a long while. Instead he sagged against the wall.
"Yeah...looks like yo..you got a room mate...for the..day.." He smiled half heartedly.

Duncan nodded, "I don't mind... though I should probably lay down soon. Don't think I will be able to stay on my feel much longer." He murmured, going to seek out some bandages that had been left behind in the room, as often as the techs had to come by to check his wounds for a while there they'd just left the supplies to make things easier for themselves. He motioned for Adriel to come over to him "You might want to take off your shirt so I can wrap you up. Then we can nap."

Adriel didn't argue he stumbled his way over to Duncan and Chii and Fuu ..apt at removing clothing had his shirt off effortless in moments. They dropped the rather ruined shirt on the floor and were now poised ready for anything. Adriel only batted them down and went to sit on the bed heavily. He felt very tired...though probably no where near as tired as Duncan he fathomed.

It took all of Duncan's current determination and concentration to get the wound wrapped and when it was done he plopped down on the bed. He sat there for a moment looking almost as though he would fall asleep right there but forced himself to moved. He scooted back so that he was all the way on the bed and sank down onto his side, "Mmm... sleepy." He muttered, patting the bed next to him to offer the space to Adriel if he wanted to lay there.

Adriel looked at Duncan dumbly a moment, at the gesture...it took a moment for it to click in that perhaps he wasn't 100% forgiven but at least he would allow him to sleep next to him. A surge of happiness flowed through him as he moved to lay beside Duncan happily. Chii and Fuu knew this drill...and they promptly wrapped themselves gently around Duncan.

Adriel was asleep promptly it didn't take him long as it was his nature to be sleeping with someone than alone.

Slowly Recovering

It was the first time that Duncan had gone all that far from the room that he was staying in while he was recovering in the Labs. He was feeling a bit better, more alive, his body had been pained from his wounds and so very weak from the blood that he'd lost. He was recovering, able to stay on his feet for long periods of time now... but he was lonely. His father and little brother hadn't been by much, not allowed in this deep in the Labs. It seemed he was being kept under a close watch to make sure that he didn't drop dead... one of the first two children from the Labs that had been placed in homes he'd heard and as such one of the oldest... they didn't want to give him up, wouldn't let him die.

He wondered if he should be happy that they were so eager about it or maybe annoyed that they were only trying so hard because of what he was, an important project and among the first of his kind... nothing else to these people. It was cold here... both physically and emotionally and he wanted to go home... something he was told he wouldn't be able to do until he was strong enough to take care of himself. He wondered if he would considered strong enough yet, moving back and forth across his room, his claws clicking against the floor. He had made the trip across a couple dozen times so far but he could feel it starting to build, the nagging weakness. He was missing something in staying here, he was starting to think that it was what he was eating. He needed real food, meat like the way his father prepared it. A thick steak that was barely cooked... still mooing, bloody meat... it was what he wanted.

He was hungry, wanted real food... On top of that he was bored. He was lonely, he was waiting for a visit that didn't seem to be coming and he was... worried now. Had he driven off his best friend? He started over toward the bed and plopped down on it, dragging in a breath... what if he had? He'd attacked him, might have hurt him in his rage... and that mark he'd left on his shoulder. He'd felt the overwhelming urge to do it, to leave something on Adriel that wouldn't go away, that would show that Adriel was his... but there in lay the problem. Adriel was never his, his friend yes but not 'his'.

He gave a sighing sound as he flopped back on the bed letting two of his three eyes sink closed as he went over the information. They were friends yes, they had kissed before on a few occasions but... it wasn't as though either of them had made it more then that. Never even thought about it, just friends... he hadn't a right to lay claim to Adriel even if his instincts had told him to do so. He needed to talk with him again, apologize, and make sure that he was alright.

As he thought on it his mind started to grow a bit hazy, thoughts coming to him slower and slower... he was healing but to really regain his strength he needed meat... maybe he could get a hold of Adriel, talk to him about it, ask him to come visit and smuggle him in some real food that would help him on the road to recovery. If anyone could do something like that it would be Adriel.
