The Durem night was rather quiet... especially in the alley way where the two teens had collapsed after their perilous escaped. Duncan and Adriel were as quiet as the night, the two of them stained red with blood as well as the ground around them, the snow was falling lightly upon them. The cold was numbing but in a way helpful, the injuries that the wrath spawn had taken were bleeding much more slowly now.
It was dark enough where they were that they weren't exactly easy to spot by those that weren't looking... but at the same time their scent wouldn't be easily mistake to those who knew it. The scent of copper heavy in the air at the moment, along with sweat for those with the senses to notice.
Only luck it would seem could help the pair now, they'd made it as far as they could on their own strength.

" Chase you go left and I'll go right we'll meet at the burger place in an hour ok?" Mareike dismissed her partner before trekking forwards into the dark of the night. After she'd seen the notice about her friend being missing the girl had felt a deep need to go out and try and find him. Adriel was her first friend and even if she hadn't seen him in a while becuase he seemed to be unending sick she still wanted to make sure he was ok.
The maroon skinned wrath child was keeping all three of her eyes open and on alert for any sign of her friend. Durem was a busy place even at night and finding much of anything wasn't always easy. As the snow fell the girls wrapped her wings around herself for extra heat and hoped that wherever Adriel was he was at least warm.
The girl's eyes did her little good but a born fighter and one who did it often she recognized the faint smell of blood in the air mixed with the cities natural smells. Concerned in general about where it was coming from Mareike lengthened her stride and tried to follow her nose as best she could.

Tykier walked quickly, trying to find his friend, and role-model, Duncan. He was told that Duncan was also with Adriel... Ty looked all around Durem, and saw no sign of them.
Then, he smelled something, something mixed with blood and the salty smell of sweat. That must be Duncan and Adriel!!! Tykier opened his arms and let the air currents lift him up. I can probably spot them from up here...

The scent of blood became thicker in the air as Mareike got closer and closer to the source of it. There was a scent behind the blood as well, a scent that would tease her senses... it was a scent that would be strangely familiar to her, the scents that belong to two people she'd run across before.
The part of town she was tracking the scent to was quieter then the shopping district of Durem, set away from the bustling shops, there weren't as many lights on here, and it was off in those shadows where her trio of eyes could just barely make out the outlines of two forms.
*****
Tykier wouldn't be able to see as much from his angle when it came to where Duncan and Adriel were at, perhaps if he were lucky he'd spot a large form lounging on a roof top, a creature with many arms who seemed to be just watching the sky line at the moment oblivious to the presence of the flying spawn.
That person was in a different direction from the scents that Tykier could smell though, away from where Duncan might be.

Mareike felt a small knot of worry grow in her stomach when the familiar smells of Adriel and Duncan reached her nose, they were distinctly tied with that of the blew she'd smelt earlier. This was decided not good she though breaking into a jog, Adriel was an utter wuss who couldn't defend himself from tennis balls and Duncan well if something had taken the older wrath child down than Adriel had had no chance with it. " If you die before I find you Adriel I will kill you" Mareike hissed .
She was about to dart past an alley way when her eyes caught sight of something decidedly not snow or trash shaped in it. Turning to state better her three made out the forms of bodies her nose telling her this was what she wanted. Nervous but determined to help she rushed over to the unconscious forms of her friend and acquaintance.
They were a mess the both of them and Mareike didn't think either's injuries were going too last long unattended. Mareike reached for her walkie talkie to call chance only to find she'd forgotten to replace the batteries in her rush to get out tonight. Now the thistle haired girl was torn.
She could go for help, but even if she got them in an ambulance a hospital might not be able or willing to help at this point. The facility was the only place that really knew how they worked and damned if Vampy would risk his neck for a bunch of kids. On the other hand he might refuse to help too becuase he was an a**.
Guard training told Mareike she had little time to work with but that she needed to be careful none the less, aggravating the injuries attempting to get them help did no one any good. Wrath child or no there was no way she could lift both boys either and her eyes began frantically searchingthe alley for anything she could use to make transporting them both easier.

Tykier was getting worried about Duncan and Adriel. What if I can't find them in time..!?! What if they're already dead!?! Tykier kept going towards the hidden spider creature. Not knowing the danger.

The teens were both to far off to be of any help to the effort of getting anywhere closer to a hospital or event he facility they were born in. They had gone as far as they could under their own power, though Duncan's yellow eye was watching Mareike. Half closed but curious as to what she was up too... and for the first time it wasn't glaring, just watching. One could almost see hope in its depths which was an emotion not at all natural to it.
There were a few options open to her from here, there was a pay phone a short distance from where she was currently, the sound of people outside of the alley though how far off they were was unknown, and then the possibility of making a makeshift stretcher from cardboard in the alley, a huge piece that looked as though it might be a box that once held a refrigerator. It was all up to what came to mind for her.
*****
Up on the rooftops a scent came to the spider demon who was laying there. He had his wound covered in the red spider threads, keeping it from bleeding while his demonic powers slowly closed up the wound. He sat up slowly, looking around. A... familiar scent... wait, he'd been almost certain that one was going to drop dead from blood loss.
He rose up to his feet, walking toward the source of the scent though it wasn't the red skinned boy he was expecting. It wasn't him though, it was someone else, something else fluttering in the air in his direction. Interesting... how many of those things were out there? The idea of there being even three creatures that had both demonic and angelic blood in them seemed like a lot and piqued his curiosity.

Mareike paced near the bodies of the boys trying to think as quickly as she could. She didn't want to risk leaving them alone in case whatever had done this to them found them again. On the other hand dragging them through the city streets was going to get them noticed and not necessarily by the people she'd want help from. Cursing she kicked one of the alley walls and tried to think clearer and faster. She couldn't leave them but she could fight off unwanted help though and using the cardboard sheet she could see further down the alley she could at least drag them somewhat easily to the payphone she'd seen about a block back where she could call for help. That might really be her best option.
Mind made up she jogged down the alley to pick up the cardboard sheet and bring it back to lay near the boys. " This might hurt" she warned thought she doubted either boy could hear her, although she wasn't fully sure about Duncan as his one eye watched her. The girl knew there were all sorts of rules about moving injured people but she didn't have time or maneuvering power enough to obey them, right now. Grabbing Adriel fired she began to haul him by the shoulders up onto her sad excuse for a stretcher sled.

Was he out specifically to find them? Not exactly. Litural wasn't the "hero" type...more of the anti-hero, really. So when Santana had paused briefly on the news, just long enough to catch both the man and the boy's attention, Lit hadn't been too concerned. Sure, he remembered the face from when he was younger...but what could he do? He didn't know how to fight yet, not really, and this definitely sounded like a job for the police.
Actually, that's exactly what Santana had said. So even though they were worried and hoped the boy was returned soon...the topic was awkwardly dropped.
The fact of the matter was that Lit was just out, enjoying some new found freedom, and exploring a world that had been previously closed off to him before. He felt so at ease and peaceful, a feeling he was savoring by taking in a deep breath of that brisk, winter chilled air.
Ah, but what was this? Something sweet and coppery tainted the wind and caught his attention. He remembered the scent well...what Wrath child didn't recognize fresh blood when they smelled it? But what interested Lit more was the scuffling that he heard in the alley off to his side, dancing on the wind with the blood scent in a twisted ballet.
He paused then. Probably longer than he needed to...but there was a lot to weigh here. For all he knew, it was some stupid wounded animal. Even though the blood didn't smell like animal blood, and he knew it.
He took in a deep breath then, pulling his jacket closer around his shoulders as he stepped forward into the dark.
"Hello? Anyone down here?"

" Go away boy, unless you're willing to behave this time" Mareike growled from withing the alley. Mareike's memory might not be perfect, she forgot math formulas and grammar rules, what she didn't forget was the smell and sound of her enemies. She knew who the boys was at the mouth of the alley and she wasn't particularly thrilled to see him. On the other hand she could use another strong pair of hands, provided she could said hand's owner. Wrath child and already having fought with the boy her instincts told her it was impossible and the girl ruffled the feathers of her wings preparing for a fight if there was to be one.

Lit's memory was better...and more bitter. The moment her voice spoke out, he snarled out right, fluffing his wings and almost flaring them open.
"You started that crap last time," he spat, frozen in his place. He couldn't see very well down here, the tall buildings and fading light barely giving him an idea on where the wench was located...and he wasn't about to allow her to jump him again.
Especially without Santana around to defend him, but he wasn't allowing his mind to recognize that thought.
He didn't retreat yet, though...she'd challenged him, and there was no way he was backing down from that.

" I'm not starting anything now, just warning you to behave boy or keep your distance" She hissed. " If you can be civil and would rather not have some of our kind die then I suggest you get your a** down here and help, if not get lost, I don't need you distracting me? ." At least she'd gotten Adriel fully onto the cardboard now.

He watched her lift things - long, heavy things that looked like bodies - as she spoke and remembered now what brought him down into the alley in the first place.
But...but...why her??? In all this world, in all creation...OUT OF EVERY SPAWN, she had to be the one to find them? Litural stood still, feeling the agitated growl rumbling still in his throat. He could hear Santana in the back of his head, telling him to breathe, to remain calm. He'd found Adriel now, whether he had wanted to or not...and there was no walking away from this.
Mareike would probably get annoyed with how much time Lit was taking. She had every right to. But Litural needed the moment to think on it...and finally, feeling his wings settle, he stepped forward with a strange sense of purpose.
"Just don't touch me," he warned, not at all comfortable with standing so near to her. His skin felt like it had worms crawling on it...ew.

" You need to grab under his a** and knees" Mareike instructed as she nodded to Duncan's prone form, ignoring completely the boy's warning as she had no intention of touching him anyways "keep his legs from bending and support the weight evenly, I'll support the back and head. tell em when you're ready and on three we''l lift him onto the cardboard."
Worry for her friends tempered the Wrath child's innate agitation at the presence of another of her kind and more so at the challenge he presented, even if she was somewhat reassured by the fact that she had beaten him before and could probably do so again.
