Adhara was, at the moment, slumped over, head on the table in the small building, fast asleep. Given, this was extremely rare. The Diligence girl needed very little sleep, and often could go three days without even sitting down. However, she'd recently had some eventful days, and had been awake for nearly a whole week before her and Guinevere had taken Noah to the airport, where he would go off on whatever trip he was taking to wherever he was going. Adhara didn't understand why she couldn't go with, but she'd finally given up asking 'why not' when Ginny told her it was for him to get a break from his current life. Automatically, that meant that he was trying to get away from her.

She'd previously been taken to a small building with people who were supposed to teach her about art and how to draw, and then take the group of kids to a museum. Understandably, she was one of the youngest people there, most of them being around pre-teen, a couple younger, and a few older. One of the teachers tapped her on the shoulder, and she blearily opened amber eyes. Yawning widely, she stretched her arms and wings at the same time, feathers at the tips of her wings shuddering a bit. She glanced around sleepily, waiting for Reena and Niita to rouse themselves as well, which they did soon enough, both appendages looking for attention from Adhi. The tired girl complied simply, and pet both of the tiredly, not awake enough to object to them giving affection to herself or anyone else.

Glancing around at the people who were arriving, slowly but surely, Adhara decided that it was highly unlikely that anyone interesting was going to show up. She stuck the tip of her finger into a small bowl full of blue sand and twirled it around, making random designs in it. She rested her head on one folded arm, and Reena rested in her lap, Niita stretching out toward someone who Adhara wasn't paying enough attention to notice, with a striking resemblance to Mareike...

Duncan was currently of the mind that he was willing to try most anything at least once if it meant that he would be able to get his darker side under control. The idea of doing random hobbies to distract himself had been high on the list though now that he was here he felt a bit silly... the beginners art class that was offered seemed to be for those of a much younger age then he was, a bunch of kids were gathered around him. His wings gave a bit of a twitch giving off a soft, chiming sound.

It could be for the best though... if he had to worry about a gathering of little kids then he wouldn't be as prone to letting his anger get the best of him. Not that he liked having them be his reason for behaving. While his two lower eyes seemed to be slightly narrowed in concentration the third, yellow one in his forehead was darting back and forth looking for anything that it might mark as being a danger. Of yet it wasn't able to find a thing... this place seemed to be safe, to safe... to the point that it was boring.

Duncan was unaware of the fact that while he was drifting along, waiting for everyone to gather so that they could start the class that he was being stalked by something familiar... tentacles. He gave a jolt when one touched him, turning, fully expecting to find, "Adriel?" He blinked when he realized it was a new set of tentacles that were being so friendly... he starred down at them before glancing over at the one they belonged too.

"Adriel?" Adhara immediately questioned, a rather pleased look of surprise on her face as she pulled herself off the table and turned, looking for the boy in question. However, as her eyes settled on the other teen rather than her friend from what was beginning to feel like forever ago, she let a look of confusion take over her expression. She tilted her head to the side slowly, mind still lagging behind a bit, wings pulling against her back now that she was awake to keep them there. Reena, not getting the attention that it wanted, reached toward the other boy as well, while Niita butted up against his hand gently.

She was aware that she resembled the other Lust spawn a bit, but she was sure that Adriel was quite a bit older than she was now, so it would be difficult to mix them up. No less, her wings had doubled in size, whereas Adriel didn't have any wings. Straightening a bit and straightening her dress a bit, given it had been wrinkled from her little nap, she outstretched her hand.

"Not exactly," she replied, assuming that the other boy had mistaken her for the friend that she missed so dearly. She made a mental note to try to find him after the class. "I am his half-sibling, though, I guess. My name's Adhara. Who're you...?" she questioned. Despite having passed from her toddler curiosity and beginning to crawl into the stage of teenage angst, she still liked meeting new people. Of course, she was a little bit intimidated by this boy, given he was so much taller than she was, and likely quite a bit older. "You know Adriel, too...?

Duncan did his best to hide his disappointment, Adriel being there would have been a rather strange turn of events after all... though to find another kid who had the same sort of look as him was interesting. He turned his hand and held it out, allowing the tentacles to inspect it... while he may not admit it out loud he rather missed how Chi and Fuu use to be, before they ended up all lethargic and limp.

"He is a close friend of mine." Duncan explained, one of few that he would mark as being such because he was one of the only ones he'd met on numerous occasions, "My name is Duncan."

While two of his three eyes seemed relaxed enough the third one, the yellow one was watching the girl in an unblinking manner, sizing her up and what sorts of dangers she may present. It was the tentacles it saw as the biggest danger presented, how often had Duncan ended up tangled up by the ones that Adriel had after all? The information was filed away and the yellow eye went back to darting back and forth not seeing to be tied to the other two eyes in where it was looking.

"Really? Wow, you're lucky then," Adhara automatically decided, nodding a few times. She hadn't see Adriel since before she'd grown, and before he'd had any trouble with his pheromones. The worst thing that had ever happened between them was her tentacles getting rather crushed by his, which wasn't enough to dissuade her from being friends with him. Especially not after he bought her ice cream, that was really, really good. And then he got fish. And now, she was just recollecting memories of being with Adriel, even if it had only been for an hour or so.

"It's nice to meet you, Duncan," she said in a kind manner, letting her hand fall though it hadn't been shaken. Niita backed up a little bit, confused at the total willingness of Duncan's hand to be bothered, before it poked up against his hand again, then choosing to happily wind itself through the Wrath boy's fingers, whereas Reena simply remained more on the sidelines, interested, but not wanting as much attention as the other tentacle always seemed to need.

She glanced up, curiously, at Duncan's center eye, watching as it observed her, and letting her gaze wander when it started looking other places. "Mareike looks kinda like you..." she commented, though it was offhand and not really given her full attention. She had a habit of not paying attention to what she said. "That means that you're part Shar, right? Wrath?" she asked curiously, though Mareike hadn't had wings like Duncan's. "What's your other half...?"

Duncan watched as the tentacle wiggled its way around his fingers before looking over at her, "It is nice to meet you too." He said, something that was actually true. She reminded him of Adriel and as such she was relaxing to be around.

His form stiffened a little at the mention of Shar though, "Yes... unfortunately I have his blood in me, my other half is Liberality." He murmured before his mind seemed to wrap around what she had just said to him, "Wait... there are others with Shar's blood aside from me and Tykier? What is this Mareike like?" He wondered if Mareike were like Ty and able to control that part of herself or more like him and found a battle with it.

Adhara smiled, happy that someone was interested in what she had to say. No less, she was happy that anyone interesting had shown up, and given that Duncan knew Adriel and seemed to be friends with him, that made it even better. Already, they seemed to be making... at the very least, decent conversation. At least Adhara wasn't too scared of him yet as she had been with Mareike. At the question, however, she had to think for a moment about exactly what to describe the other girl as. She'd been a little bit scary, but also nice at the same time, and happened to be Adhara's half-sibling, just like Adriel was, also.

"She was... hard to describe, I guess. She was kinda nice to me, but she was kinda scary at the same time. She said that if I didn't eat meat that I would die," the little girl recalled thoughtfully, feeling a little uncomfortable about that still, though she did eat meat now, it was only on occasion. Would she still die from not eating enough then? "She was half-Diligence, too, which means that she and I are half-sisters. So she was nice to me because'a that, at least, but I don't really know enough about her. I'd have to spend more time around her sometime. Who's Tykier?" she asked this last question rather abruptly, though with her curiosity, it wasn't too much of a surprise.

"Sounds like my Dad, he doesn't seem to eat much of anything that didn't used to have a heart beat." He said in a joking manner. He turned to look at her for a long moment before giving a little chuckle, "Your half sister, huh? Maybe I should run that by Adriel... as many kisses as I get from him one should worry since we share Liberality's blood."

It wasn't something he'd ever thought about... one of those things he should have, having DNA from the same Angel... did that really make them half brothers? His trio of eyes widened a little at the thought before he shook his head, "Weird... Ahh well." He didn't care that much, among all the other things he'd done in his life this was rather bland.

"Tykier is someone I met when I was visiting the zoo, he has Shar's blood too but seemed rather... nice. It was weird."

Adhara laughed a little bit about the comment of Duncan's father's diet, though she had to wonder if Noah was the only vegetarian in existence. Even Guinevere ate meat occasionally, for Pete's sake! "Noa- or... my dad's not like that at all. He never fed me meat or anything like that, and he doesn't eat it, either. So after I met Mareike I had to try it for myself, and I kinda like it. I don't know why he doesn't eat it," Adhara commented with a nod. She had been forced to promise that she would try to stop referring to Noah by his name, and refer to him as her dad from now on, so he would have something to look forward to when he got back. Not to mention Guinevere said that she would buy Adhi anything she wanted under a hundred dollars if she actually started doing that, which the Lust girl was going to use for all it was worth.

When Duncan made the kissing comment, Adhara couldn't help but giggle, though she tried to muffle it. For some reason, thinking about Adriel kissing anyone -and especially someone who was as spooky-looking as Duncan- was quite amusing to her, especially with how shy and quiet he always was. She supposed that the two of them had been friends for a really long time for something like that to have happened between the both of them.

"Is it really weird for a Wrath kid to be nice...?" Adhara couldn't help but ask, tilting her head to the side with interest and looking over the boy in front of her. Even now knowing that there was a possibility he might not be so nice, she pulled out the chair next to her's and offered it to him. Another boy stepped up to it and went to sit down, but as soon as Niita slithered toward him, he was on the other side of the room, leaving the seat open for Duncan while Adhi took her own seat once again. "'Cause you and Mareike are both pretty nice, and both of you are Wrath children. I guess I just haven't met that many people..." She'd gotten to a certain point in speaking where she was more talking to herself. In fact, she'd met quite a few people, and she'd met now three kids who had Wrath's blood in them, Mareike, Mara, and Duncan. Actually, that could probably be something interesting that he might want to know.

"I also me-" Immediately after she'd started speaking, the teacher had opened his mouth and cut her off. The little girl grumbled softly, her feathers ruffling as she looked up to the front of the room just in time for someone to turn the lights out, nearly making her jump in the abrupt change. She looked for some light source besides the covered windows, and found a projector that was showing them pictures of old art stuff, mostly paintings of... fruit. Bored without having even paid attention yet, she turned back to the older boy, lowering her voice so that she wouldn't get in trouble.

"I met another Wrath girl, too. Her name was Mara, 'nd she was smaller than me, and she seemed weirdly happy, but mean at the same time. Reena and Niita liked her a lo-" She'd gestured toward either tentacle when mentioning them, but she was interrupted by a tap on her shoulder by one of the co-teachers. When she looked up, the man put a finger to his lips to signal her to be quiet. Pouting at him, she sulked for a moment, trying to listen to the teacher at the front of the room, but unable to keep her focus for very long, as usual.

This time, it was Duncan's wings that caught her attention, and she remembered what he'd said about Adriel only a little bit ago. She stretched out one of her hands carefully, and gently tapped the very edge of the strange metal wings. "I like your wings," she mumbled, even quieter than she was last time. Reena, now being the one closer to Duncan, hesitantly stretched forward and poked experimentally at one of the boy's wings as well, before finding a better interest in poking at one of his knees; as far as personality, Reena seemed to do anything that was looking for attention, but looked like it might not be.

Duncan was glad to be seated though he found himself being bored stiff from the information that they were being fed, "I thought we were supposed to... make art." He muttered, half to himself. Who wanted to sit around looking at the art of other people? Dull...

He looked over at Adhara and nodded, "I haven't met any other of Shar's blood aside from Tykier and have only myself to compare them too." He told her, smiling a bit when she said that he was nice. He didn't quite believe that to be the truth after everything he'd done in his life but it was nice to hear it from someone that didn't know him, "I might have to see about meeting the others."

Duncan's wings gave a little flutter as they were poked at and he gave a little smile, "Thank you. They are about all I got from Jhor, not good for much but at least they sound neat." He he gave them a flap so that she could hear the chiming sound that came from them.

Adhara nodded in agreement, though her Diligence half made her feel like tearing her skin off was better than sitting and listening and watching and not doing anything. It was completely pointless. She looked back at the screen-thinger for a moment, before deciding that fruit and how to draw it was unimportant, as she could do that whenever she wanted to, and then she turned back to Duncan, who in and of himself was much more interesting than watching pictures displayed on a board at the front of a classroom full of kids that made Adhi feel uncomfortably, while the pair did the same to most the kids.

"It would be good to meet them, I think. Even if they both kinda scared me a little bit. Even if Mara was small." That was the moment in which Adhara realized that she'd been scared by every Wrath spawn that she'd met. Except Duncan here. He was the only one who hadn't scared or intimidated her with the first words they exchanged. Of course, being mistaken for the older Lust boy as a meeting was much less frightening than 'Hi, b***h!' or 'You lost to a turkey', both of which had made Adhara appear rather pathetic in the eyes of both herself and the stranger, at the time. Well, the first one confused her more than anything, but still. It was awkward to respond to.

"Adriel and Ebony are the only other Lust kids that I've met. But I've met... umm... a lot of other Diligence kids," Adhara stated, unsure of herself just a tad. She'd met many children who'd shared her wings, like Wynni and Mareike... there could have been more, but Adhi wasn't quite sure at the moment, too distracted by the Wrath boy with the metal wings.

At the chiming sound, the hybrid smiled brightly, and had to resist clapping in her simple amusement mixed with the rare feeling of being tired. Her own wings pressed against her back again, the metal frames tapping against each other with a dull 'thud'. She glanced at them and giggled a bit. "Mine don't make such a pretty noise," she commented, though that fact was rather obvious. She glanced back at her new, she supposed, friend, and tilted her head with interest, wondering what his relationship with Adriel was before the 'what ifs' just weren't enough.

"So, do you like-like Adriel, and he likes you, too?" she questioned rather bluntly, still keeping her voice down for the unrealistic fear that one of the teachers would attack her from nowhere. "Or- or does he like you and you don't like him? Or d'you like him and he doesn't like you? I know how that feels, kinda..." she mumbled this last part, never one to talk about herself, before she looked back up at Duncan, flushing rather sheepishly. "You don't hafta tell me if you don't want to, though. S'none of my business."
PostPosted: Wed Dec 03, 2008 6:18 pm

It would seem as if Duncan had forgotten all about the class that they were sitting in, having more fun talking with the girl he was with then starring at boring pictures. He was listening to her, seeming to be enjoying just listening to her talk about her experiences. He hadn't met a lot of people, wasn't social until just recently so this was nice, "I'm not sure." He murmured, giving a little shrug, "I like him well enough, my best friend I guess. Only one I didn't attack when I was little despite him always squeezing with his tentacles though..."

He trailed off and gave a snort, "Hes different lately." He sounded grumpy about the idea, how much Adriel had changed since he'd seen him last.

Adhara nodded in understanding, thinking for a moment on the tentacled boy. "I like him pretty well, too. But that's prol'ly because he was the first other kid that I met who was like all the rest of us are," she commented, shrugging a bit. Even so, she would have probably liked him just as much had she not met him until after she met Duncan. Her wings stretched a little bit, the whole being of the Diligence girl starting to get anxious from all the sitting around and doing nothing. She tilted her head in confusion at the older boy's next statement.

"He's been different? Really? How's tha-" Finally, an irritated sigh broke through her talking, and she looked away from the ruddy-coloured boy to find half the classroom staring at them. Reena and Niita gently backed up from the table and hid below it instead, as though trying to find a good place to hide from all the eyes, while her wings drooped a bit uncomfortably, her face flushing a bit. "Um... yes?"

"I have asked the two of you to please be quiet half a dozen times now," the angry-looking old woman at the front of the room growled at the two of them in a voice that sounded happy and angry at the same time, greatly confusing the Lust spawn. "Now would you please get out of my classroom!"

Adhara grumbled irritably under her breath and pushed away from the table, crossing her arms and sending a glare toward the teacher, who went right on talking about her stupid fruit bowls and the stupid artists that painted them. Her wings flapped a bit, mimicking her irritation as she waited for Duncan to follow her as she walked to the door, holding it open both to let the boy out, as well as mess up the lighting for the slides being shown, making them appear faint on the whiteboard.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 05, 2008 7:25 pm

Duncan turned to look over at the teacher, then around at the rest of the students that were starring at them. He blinked his trio of eyes as he realized what the man was saying and he slammed his hands down on the desk, "Excuse us for finding your slide show to be pointless." He snapped at the teacher, his wings twitching behind him.

His claws dug grooves into his desk as he pushed to his feet doing his best to calm his rising anger, "Worthless waste of time, we came to make art not little to you talk." Which was probably why he'd not even heard the man telling them to be quiet the half dozen times he claimed he had.

He turned and stalked toward the door, a growl coming from his throat that caused the students that were starring at him to look away not able to wing a starring contest against someone with three rather angry looking eyes. Once he was outside the classroom he gave a little laugh, "Eesh... my father isn't going to be happy when I tell him I got kicked out of art..." Of all things to get banished from.

Adhara couldn't help but smile beneath a hand on her mouth, for the sake of hiding it, especially at the obviously expressed worry on the faces of the teachers and fellow students. She giggled softly at Duncan's statement, and followed him out the door into the hallway, letting the door fall shut behind the two of them. She laughed sheepishly, however, at her own situation. "Even if Noah was still here, I don't think that he would be too surprised. I've been kicked out of quite a few classes, actually. Like, a lot more than just art..." she commented, smiling lightly, Reena and Niita currently folded across her stomach just as her arms were.

"Like... gym. And any other class when the teachers were telling us stupid instructions when I already know what to do," Adhara said with a firm nod, unfolding her arms, tentacles following suit immediately afterward. "Ginny always gets mad at me for it, but Noah's gotten used to it by now, and just teaches me some of the stuff at home." Adhara yawned softly, still a bit tired, and looked back at the classroom door, and then at the Wrath boy.

She watched him for a moment, only now noticing how long his hair was, and she got an idea, though it's not as though it was going to help them do much more than pass the time. Then again, maybe it would only help her pass the time. Whichever it was, time would be passed one way or the other. "Hey Duncan, can I play with your hair?"
