Litural pulled down his scarf as he and his guardian entered the warm bookstore. He looked around with wide, interested eyes, fluffing the chill out of his wings as he followed Santana around. He was excited, his mind racing with the promise that the day held.

It was fairly early and the whole place was very quiet. The only place that really seemed even remotely populated was the small cafe off in the far corner where patrons sat sipping hot drinks, warding off the cold as they read their books.

Santana scanned the people, taking note of every female. He counted six right off the bat, but most of them were cashiers or baristas. While those were better odds, Santana still felt a little edgy as he walked with his charge towards the cook books.

"Just stick with me. Ok, Lit?" Santana said with another quick glance about.

Litural just barely nodded his head, much too focused on the various titles of books that blurred together as the pair walked past.

Duncan was doing his best to avoid people in general, sitting in the self help section and was flipping through several different books he'd found about breathing exercises, finding inner peace, and the like... things he hoped would help in his pursuit of evening out his temperament. He was quick to jump to anger, having a few triggers that were worse then others, found crowds of people annoying and was just plain anti social for the most part...

Two of his three eyes were scanning over the pages of his book while the third, his yellow eye that was located in his forehead was looking back and forth, up and down, taking in everything and everyone to file away if they were deemed dangerous or not. For the most part nothing here seemed to be, just a gathering of very quiet people come to get books in a manner no different then Duncan.

Duncan felt a prickling feeling go up his spine, his wings giving a little twitch that caused a soft chiming sound to errupt from them and he was lifting his gaze to look around. That was... odd. It was that same feeling he'd gotten when he first saw Tykier and Mareike, a feeling that came with running across someone with that same cursed blood he had. He found himself closing his current book so that he could rise to his feet and look over the shelves in a cautious sort of way... he wasn't about to let anyone get the drop on him. Especially another child with Shar's blood in their veins.

Santana had already gone around the corner, and Litural - distracted by the books - had ended up lagging behind slightly. By the time he came around the bend, the looming shadow of the taller, older boy would be upon him. He stopped short, taking a cautious step back to look up at Duncan.

It was like looking into a warped mirror. There was so much about this other male that resembled entirely too much of Shar and too much of himself. Lit's main eyes watched him with awe, mismatched and wide, while the third blue eye at the center regarded Duncan with something like a glint. It was happy to see him, remembering all too well the "father" and that girl that they'd fought with so long ago.

"Litural?" Santana said, peering back around the isle he'd disappeared down.

Oh, this may not end well, was the thought in Santana's head as he moved as close as he could to his charge.

"Hey...there," he said slowly, directed at the bigger spawn. "Looks like you two have a lot in common."

Duncan blinked two of his three eyes when he found himself starring at a younger, shorter version of himself. Sure there were differences but he couldn't help but be rather amazed at this spawn that stood before him. He gave a jolt when someone else appeared and spoke drawing him out of the Twilight Zone moment he was having... he didn't turn to look at the new arrival but gave a nod of agreement at his words.

A lot in common alright, the other boy had different wings then he did and his eyes were colored differently but aside from that he was eerily similar to Duncan... something the older spawn found rather interesting. He blinked again then gave a bit of a smile, his wings giving a twitch behind him.

Santana looked back and forth between the two boys as they continued to inspect each other, the silence exceptionally unsettling. He found it weird when Litural got into these moods, but to have both of them like this was just down right awkward.

And since they weren't about to attack and maul each other, he ventured for conversation.

"You gonna introduce yourself?" Santana asked, directed at his charge, giving the younger boy a slight nudge into his shoulder.

Litural glanced up at his guardian with his main eyes without taking the third off of Duncan. Talk? He almost felt like he didn't have to.

"I'm Litural," he finally said. It was short but not vicious or threatening, and though he didn't return Duncan's smile, he still appeared pleased to be meeting the older spawn.

It took Duncan a moment to realize that the man who was with the spawn was speaking, glancing over at him. Introduce themselves, huh? He probably should do that instead of just having a starring contest with him, "I'm Duncan." He said when he was able to find his voice.

"Nice to meet you, Duncan," Santana said with a small smile and a nod.

Ah, but here we go again...that strange silence. Lit glanced up at his guardian, his third eye not leaving Duncan, and softly cleared his throat.

"You can go on. We'll be ok."

Santana blinked, a little amazed at the calmness in his charge's voice, but nodded his head and pointed off towards a group of books, "I'll just be over there," the wolf man said before heading off down an aisle, out of earshot but not out of sight.

Litural wasn't sure why he hadn't wanted Santana around...but he definitely felt more at ease now. He knew these quiet moments bothered the man. Maybe that was his thought.

"You're older than me," he stated rather bluntly, returning his focus to Duncan. "Have you been locked up, too?"
