Creedence of Clearwater (cat form)HP: -16 SHE DED Location: B9 Action: being held too lovingly by so many skeleton The world turned into a close-up of bone and fungus. And fog, but the dread it instilled was buried in the very real, very physical bodies surging over her. Creedence thrashed weakly for as long as she could hold on, until something else, something larger and stronger gripped and crushed her even within the skeletons' embrace. "Uncool," she croaked as everything sunk into darkness.

Character Name and journal link Ibirapitá of ShadeHP: very low/50 Location: C4 Action: Shield Magic! Interaction Roll: Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 1/3 shield magic used (if I misinterpreted this and I need to roll something let me know!) "Abzu," started Ibirapitá, weakly, "why for do you insist in bringing me to these particular things?" The fog was closing in around him, and he knew it. He could see what was crawling around within it and wanted no part of it. The depths could hold great terror and he knew that, and he held a great respect for them that they were owed between them and him on his own world, but there was no love lost between him and whatever attempted to come toward him in this even more foreign land than Earth. He wanted to punch Abzu in the face. Perhaps what he saw on Abzu's particular face was not helping that, a raw determination he wasn't used to dealing with from the other man in much of anything. Perhaps nearly losing his fiancé before had changed his particular mannerisms. It was hard to say; it was also hard for him to care when he wanted to be anywhere but where he was right then and there. It was hard to force it, truly. Ibirapitá knew his magic working had been a gamble on most days and had grown even worse throughout the cycles, not better. On the other hand, Ibirapitá felt defenseless against the horde of skeletons. There was, perhaps, one thing he could do to help himself and those nearby him hold out. Hopefully. amasis (if you still wanted to try to get Onasilos and/or Stromboli in)

Character Name and journal link Abzu of NeptuneHP: 38...?/100 Location: C4 Action: indirect damage (debuff magic) on Ibirapitá's skeletons Interaction Roll: Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 17 (3 down, 1 remaining at 3/5) Why did he insist? "Because it's good for you," stated Abzu, even if his prodding didn't necessarily sound particularly enthusiastic or even sincere. It was hard to say something was good for anyone when it came with the kinds of things being involved in this war came with. Initially, Abzu thought bringing Ibirapitá along to these chaos clears might help give him some hope that perhaps his world could be saved, too. It seemed the endless repeating of what happened each time wasn't necessarily actually helping. It was the people that he kept getting stuck on. The people. Abzu couldn't do anything much about that part. As Abzu looked through the fog at the crowd of skeletons and the nearby leviathan, he noted, with a small sarcastic grin, "Gets you out of the house doing things other than moping like a middle ages trapped prince." He could tolerate a lot more than the waif that he kept at his mansion, though. Abandoning dealing with his own problems, Abzu figured that perhaps he could convince the skeletons around Ibirapitá to be a bit nicer. amasis (if you still wanted to try to get Onasilos and/or Stromboli in)

Character Name and journal link Encke of PlasmaHP: 38...?/100 Location: C4 Action: direct damage Interaction Roll: Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 17 to leviathan Encke was proud of Dagon. She had gone from someone who had come to live with them after ending up on their planet due to that energetic pull to someone who was leading a charge to finally clear her world of this chaos that weighed it. Encke was happy to be a part of it. He was not happy, necessarily, to be dealing with the consequences of what standing in the waters and in the way meant. He saw them in the corner of his eye. He saw them creeping, and felt what it meant to him. They knew it wasn't real. It did not, necessarily, help. Encke swallowed. Logistically, Encke figured that clearing the main monster that was blocking their way might help with the other pieces. Could he weather the skeletons? For now, he could. Encke was used to letting himself feel the pain. The leviathan had to go. amasis (if you still wanted to try to get Basiluzzo in)

Grieve of the CollapseHP: (39 - 26 autodamage + 6 prev shielding from Morgan + 13 current shielding from Morgan + 6 shielding from Ekstrom) 38/75 Location: D8 Action: attacking leviathan Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 17Grinning over at Joy, Grieve flipped her off and called back, "Yeah, your tits look even better when you're mad!" She kept grinning, even as the sense of dread deepened and surged along with the false tides. A fog began to creep through the periphery and Grieve laughed. Louder when a stone dome of sorts blocked the path of aggressively surging waters. <******** magic to go along with water attacks...and that size...and those... The dome appeared again, partially blocking both skeleton attackers and ********' tentacles. Turning toward the caster, Grieve noted she was super and looking a lot worse for the wear. The shields had saved her and like several other asses, and that was probably the last big one the girl had in her, unless she had a magic refresh totem at hand. "Don't get comfortable," Grieve warned Joy as the shield faded and she gestured once more toward the big ********, happily informing the Earth Knight of yet another obvious bit of wisdom as her magic shot forward.

Sailor Alekto of ScreamsHP: SHE DED Location: B9 Action: dyin sad There was a comfort, in a way, that with the closing in of fog and darkness the sense of unreality returned. This was certainly some horrible nightmare, even if the pain felt very, very real. Maybe she was in a post-car-crash hospital bed somewhere, soon to awake surrounded by flowers and balloons and a cheerful prognosis of a full recovery in a remarkably short time. Still, it was only a slight mitigation to an overwhelming sense of dread and - oh, that was the word, wasn't it? - horror, and it was made sharper by the fact that once again Alekto - Clover - Skilly - couldn't even get the consolation prize of getting to be the first or most dramatic death. This was all that ******** cat's fault, and of course the ******** cat was going down first, that scene-stealing b***h. No one was going to care about her, second place and not even a cute cat. She was fairly certain that Creedence was already down. Well, when she woke up in the hospital, she'd yell at her then (the dreamlike sensations were growing increasingly confused and conflated with reality, because why else would the cat be there?), but that wouldn't stop her from trying to yell at her this time, too. "You stupid mangy hairball! This is your fault!" she managed. "I told you not to touch anything!" The words were swallowed up, then, appropriately: in a long and theatrical scream.

Joyeuse Garde, Knight of EarthHP: (- 24 auto damage + 12 Morgan shield + 6 Ekstrom shield) 58/100 Location: D7->D8 (Boss in range of magic and forgotten spell) Action: forgotten spell Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 18 She would have liked to acknowledge Ekstrom and her shield, in this moment. It was not the kindest thought, although she meant it with all the self-centered benevolence of which she was capable: it suited Ekstrom to be a useful shield for other people. Given the thoughtless unkindness of the idea, it was probably for the best that she did not get a chance to say it aloud, busy trying desperately to get in another good shot as movement became more hampered and equally busy getting pissed as hell at Grieve. "I don't think there's any ******** danger of anyone being too comfortable, darling," she said, and the word darling sounded like the worst kind of insult.

Kiringul of CosmosHP: 39/75 Location: C9 > D8 Action: Attacking skellies (indirect damage), taking dmg from 2 skellies Interaction Roll: N/A Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 13 (0/2 skellies remaining) The sight of allies dropping answered his question, so Kiringul pressed forward through the skeletons, dodging as much of the attacks as he could and trying to deal a bit of damage of his own (with a modest amount of success, he noticed). As ever, his uniform did his zero favors in this department, and he managed to make it to where everyone seemed to be gathering with new scrapes, cuts, and sore spots that he imagined would bruise rather nicely assuming they made it out of this alive. Glancing back behind him, he frowned when he noticed that he'd lost track of Yetzirah and he truly hoped the other knight had managed to find some safety amongst other allies elsewhere in the field.

Urda of BlackthornHP: 38/75 Location: D8 Action: Attacking boss (direct damage, second stage magic, 1/2 uses remaining), taking dmg from 2 skellies Interaction Roll: N/A Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 20 (2/2 skellies remaining) The thing was a lot more intimidating now that he was quite a bit closer, not to mention the skeletons were persisting, but Urda wasted no time in channeling his newer magic now that he felt he had a better shot at properly hitting the thing. His confidence was perhaps sourced from the fact that there was a good number of them here, huddled together and laying into it and hoping to take it down. It only narrowly won out against the growing sense of dread that seemed to fill him, and he cast sidelong glances at the others and quietly hoped that this wouldn't all be for nothing in the end.

Haik of CurrentsHP: 36/75 Location: D8 Action: Attacking boss (direct damage, second stage magic, 1/2 uses remaining), taking dmg from 4 skellies Interaction Roll: N/A Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 21 (4/4 skellies remaining) It was insanely difficult to focus given everything going on around him, but then he'd been in similar battles over the hundreds of years his own planet had slowly imploded. Perhaps he should have been more disturbed at how quickly his mind had shifted back how it had been during those times, fighting tooth and nail to keep his focus to keep his allies alive. To keep his people alive. Against the creatures of the deep. Against each other. He grit his teeth, brows knitting together and a more serious look overtook his recently more lax expression as he channeled yet another attack against the giant, bellowing creature. Whatever he could do, he thought as he took a few steps forward to try and get a better look at it, if it meant freeing at least one more planet from the grips of Chaos, he would.

Eternal Sailor AlastorHP: 40 / 100 Location: D9->D7 Action: Attacking boss with physical damage [despair/overheated/sick/feverish/fatigued/disoriented/pain] Interaction Roll: N/A Damage/Healing/Buff Done: (Super Stage Magic: 10 + 2d6) = 14 Alastor laughed, just once, and without much humor.
Lucien was clever, and entirely capable of taking care of himself. If Alastor worried, it wasn’t because he thought Lucien couldn’t handle it.
Just that he didn’t know what they were getting into.
It would have been inconvenient to be separated, even if he knew Lucien could have managed on his own. Damp, or otherwise.
“I don’t doubt myself,” he promised, because you didn’t live this long if you let yourself be swallowed by self-doubt. “Nor do I doubt either of you.”
If they said they’d have his back, they’d have it.
The fog was getting worse. It didn’t stop him from pushing forward. He could see movement in the fog, presumably separate from whatever Dagon’s leviathan was subjecting them to. It didn’t look like skeletons–or, maybe it did. They were shapes, but any time he tried to catch them from the corner of his eyes, he couldn’t make out the details, and by the time he looked, they were gone.
So he stopped looking. He focused on the tendrils slapping through the air. Focused on the water.
Focused on the leviathan.
Quote: (Enhancement) Super Sailor Scout Attack: Rot - As Alastor casts his magic, all enemies within a twelve foot radius will suddenly feel flushed with heat, as though they are at the peak of sickness. They may feel winded, feverish, fatigued, or disoriented, and an itchy, sometimes painful black rash will spread across them, starting at their appendages and working towards their heart. The sickness seems to turn blood black, creating frightening sights as the skin discolors. This sudden surge of sickness may cause panic or alarm, as their bodies may feel as though they are rapidly shutting down. Despair consumes them, as if there is no hope for recovery or any means to ease their symptoms. The magic lasts for thirty five seconds and has two uses. The magic will only affect those in the area when it was cast. Players may choose the severity of their symptoms or if there are any lasting effects.

DSS Arcalís of AdversityHP: 7 / 50 [14 - 11 from tentacles (halved by Morgan’s shield) - 2 for skelly opponents (halved by Morgan’s shield) + 6 prevented by Ekstrom) Location: D9 > D8. Action: Moving into shields and attacking his skellies (first stage magic, direct damage). Also, low HP effects continue! Interaction Roll: 3. Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 3 = 13 damage. Skellies Remaining: None! Additionally, he takes out two of Madriu's skellies. Madriu’s hand was something present. Something real. And Arcalís clung to it, nodding desperately and listening to his kyzaile’s voice. Deep slow breaths. Listening to Madriu. He was right, he had to be. Mauritz couldn’t be real. He couldn’t be here. Arcalís’s mouth couldn’t be filling with the faint aftertaste of smoke, the way that it had so often done when he was close to Mauritz. None of that could be happening because Mauritz wasn’t here.
“You are,” he said to Madriu. “You’re real. You’re here. My kyzaile.”
But the Leviathan bellowed, and more fog poured forth from its mouth. The dread in the pit of Arcalís’s stomach twisted harder than before, and he shivered, and the fact that he stayed on his feet felt like nothing short of a miracle. Even with his hands around Madriu’s, the shadow shaped like Mauritz grew more and more real in Arcalís’s eyes. Wide-eyed, he stared ahead. Thankfully, he could still feel the real motions around them. This fog came with tendrils, winding around their ankles and lapping at their legs.
Arcalís didn’t think. Dragging Madriu with him, he just ran forward, to the people gathering behind the shields put up by a senshi Arcalís didn’t recognize (Morgan) and a Mercury Knight whom, distantly, he thought he recognized from the battle with the Calamitous Hollow (Ekstrom—she hadn’t fought in the same area as Arcalís and Madriu, but hadn’t she been protecting one of the spike-bearers? The senshi with the wings?). Even though the shadow that resembled Mauritz followed him and Madriu, looming just beyond the point where Arcalís could think to hurt him.
The leviathan lay outside his range as well, and Arcalís didn’t dare leave the safety of the shields.
But he could hurt the skeletons. Calling on his magic, he did the old familiar gesture: spinning and sweeping his hand toward the skeletons, both those that came for him and those that came for Madriu.
It didn’t make the looming shadow of Mauritz go away—but there was more fight left to fight. Arcalís couldn’t afford to be distracted by a shape in the fog that threatened to resemble a dead man. His dead lover. The one who’d been the last other person standing with Arcalís against the Chaos of their own world. The lover whom he’d killed.
