Coffee -- In the process of getting her degree, Avery became very heavily reliant on caffeine to get her through it - both as a means of staying awake and studying, and as a source of income as a barista. At some point in between, it went from coffee the beverage to coffee the hobby. She spends a lot of time trying new roasts and brewing new concoctions, and likes to use her friends as guinea pigs. ... She doesn't sleep much though, on account of all the caffeine she drinks.

Reviews -- Avery watches, does, and tries a lot of things and she likes (more than those things) writing reviews on them. What started off as something she enjoyed in her later teenage years evolved into creative writing and media, and then pushed her into her career. She runs a fairly popular blog in which she does written and video reviews on various things (movies, products that are sent to her, etc).

Virtues:

Confident -- Avery is very sure of herself. She’s a firm believer in ‘fake it till you make it’ and doesn’t see any reason why anyone wouldn’t feel the same. She doesn’t have many insecurities (and none that she would ever admit) and she’s very much happy with who she is which makes her outgoing and easy to get along with.

Driven/Dedicated -- Not a patient person in the least, Avery sees something she wants and she never waits for it to fall into her lap. She works hard and pushes harder and will do whatever it takes to achieve whatever her goal is in the moment. Avery is incredibly passionate and easy to motivate - she’s also a great cheerleader to motivate others!

Flaws:

Obsessive/Relentless -- Avery’s passion tends to drive her to obsession. She likes things done to her very specific standards, and drives herself crazy over every tiny detail. Her relentless need to achieve her goals puts her in a place of not caring what it takes, and she always tries to be the one in control (of herself and others). She’ll do quite literally anything to get ahead and get what she wants, rarely thinking of her own well-being in the process.

Uninhibited -- Tending to forget that other people may not have her same confidence, she comes off as a little… harsh. Avery’ll voice her opinions without restraint or concern for other people’s feelings. She’s very carefree, but that makes her reckless and she often doesn’t think of the consequences in her quest to get what she wants.

Squire: A wooden recurve bow with a red bowstring.
Spell: Alcatraz channels an ethereal red arrow and fires it with her bow. When the arrow pierces her target, the area that was hit begins to ‘rot’ and a trail of blackening skin spreads from the point of impact. Darkness creeps on the edges of the person’s vision, and they hallucinate a person (or people) that they know has died. The hallucination speaks and forces feelings of guilt and overwhelming despair (as if the person is responsible for their death, whether they were or weren’t). Who the hallucination is and what they say is completely up to the player/character affected. Can be cast from a pool of up to 35 seconds (total or split between multiple arrows).

With Alcatraz being able to see/hear the hallucination, she often takes advantage of it and uses the deceased's words against her target. Who the hallucination is, what they say, and how ‘insane’ they feel is completely up to the player/character affected. Can be cast from a pool of up to 50 seconds (total or split between multiple arrows). Alcatraz cannot communicate with the dead (so she cannot learn any secret information or anything along those lines), but the more often she uses this magic and sees/hears the dead, the more she feels she is losing her mind as well.

Grand Theft … Canary? - You want the stuff? He can get you the stuff. You know, the goods. He moves property around. Yeah. For a good while, stealing was how Dai kept himself going, how he kept food on his plate. He’s come to rely upon it so much that it’s a hard habit to break. At sixteen, he’s looking to get an upright job working in a factory or a fast food restaurant or something, but he has sticky fingers. For one reason or another, little odds and ends seem to have a way of coming home with him.

An Audience of One - Dai likes to rock 80’s power ballads in the shower. He will never amount to anything as a singer, but damn does he have a good time when he thinks no one is listening. If Dai ever sat down in front of the TV when Glee was playing, it would be a match made in heaven... but given that his only access to a television involves a whole lot of cursing at a video player that chews up movies half the time, that is unlikely to happen. He would never, ever go near Karaoke, however.

I’ve Lost My Marbles- He has a rather nice collection of marbles that he won-- fair and square and don’t you say otherwise-- from some of the kids ‘round where he lives. Dai likes to play marbles competitively, and when he has an extra buck or two he’ll pick up more to add to his collection. It is probably his most treasured possession, and a beloved pastime all at once. You don’t need oodles of money to play marbles, after all, and it’s something he learned from his parents back when he had them.

Virtues:

Don’t stop believin’ -- Where Dai has put his faith, it is nigh unshakable. It is not easily won, but once given, Dai’s trust is owned. Consequently, friendships with Dai are based in mutual trust, and Dai is trustworthy. Well, where people are concerned. Shoplifting doesn’t really fall under this, does it? Yeah, he thought not. He is something of a follower, and prefers to act as a right hand man, or a wingman, and support his chosen leader to the bitter end. He often goes so far as believing too much good of the person in question, and will not listen to or accept any slandering of said person or people.

Cause he’s lovin’ -- Sometimes Dai can be a little too free with his affection. Not physical, perv. No, generally speaking the love that he is throwing around is emotional. Dai is all about emotions. Oh, so many emotions. All the time. Would you like some emotion with that? Dai wants to be your friend. Well. Once you’ve gotten past that initial complete lack of trust for people not within his inner circle bit. When you are safely within the friendship bracket, you are golden. He is there for you all the way, man. This is doubly true for his closest friends. Those who have genuinely earned Dai’s trust and affection will find themselves being given first, second, and third chances (etc, etc), and near boundless attention. Oh s**t, you fed it now it’s going to follow you home.

Any way you want it -- Dai wants to be a help. This means that when people he respects ask something of him, he will bend over backwards in an effort to please them. He will jump through hoops. He will jump off cliff-- well, no, okay, he won’t go that far. Despite being a fairly observant person, he has a peculiar blind spot where this is concerned, and will just follow whatever orders he is given. Generosity plays a part here, but the starring role in this little play is the need to please. When the people he loves are happy, he is happy. When they are pleased, he is pleased. And he wants so badly to impress them.

Faces, numbers, I recognize -- Dai is not book smart, really, but he is street smart. Everybody has intuition, everybody has hunches. Dai just acts on them more often than not. That said, his kind of intuition deals with the sort of people and situations that he is used to. He is used to people who are selfish, who look out for number one, people who live by “the rules” (ie: survival, etc). He does not tend to recognize or pick up on signals from people who are not part of his world, part of the group to which he belongs. Or, when he does pick up on them, they don’t follow the logic he’s used to, so he tends to ignore them. When he is outside of a “safe” environment, he is more liable to misinterpret things in a negative light, and when he is within a “safe” environment, he is more prone to overlooking the negative.

Dai cannot read your mind. Stop asking.

Flaws:

Some were born to sing the blues -- It is the end of the world. … No? Are you sure? Dai is pretty sure it is. It’s like a never ending excess of emotion, all the time. Positive or negative, Dai feels very strongly, and much of this feeling manifests as brooding. He tends to run right past all the positives, and go straight for the negatives. Oh god what if so and so hates him? Doesn’t matter. Dai is going to angst about it anyway. He is constantly waiting for the next shoe to drop, for the axe to fall. He is overly sensitive, and he just can’t let anything go. Ever.

So hold tight, hold tight -- It’s like he has separation anxiety. He does not want to be far from his friends or his home turf. The closer the friend, the more likely he is to cling like a barnacle. He is desperately uncomfortable being alone, and will avoid it whenever possible, up to the point of putting himself in danger blindly because someone he loves has done the same. That person might well be prepared for the situation, but Dai isn’t. He doesn’t care. He doesn’t want to be alone, and damnit, he doesn’t have to be. His love can be a bit suffocating because he goes over the top with almost everything that he does to show it. This is because he is very afraid of losing friendships, to the point where he might well be driving those very friends away. The harder they push, the harder he’ll cling.

Don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow -- That said, Dai kind of expects to have to cut the ties he’s made. He expects this because he has had to do so, time and again in the past. He’s waiting for the end, and he loathes it. He doesn’t want this, whatever it is, to end. However, through his own behavior he is bringing about that very end, and he doesn’t recognize it. He’s falling into the same old patterns as a result of his fatalistic nature, and in many ways it is a self fulfilling prophesy. Dai expects that good things will come to an end, sooner rather than later, and with the way he acts, chances are he’ll prove himself right. He loves constants, but doesn’t really know how to handle them. After all, won’t they just vanish on him like everything else does?

Who’s cryin’ now -- You, that’s who. Because Dai made you cry. That is his goal, when he has been crossed. Revenge. Vengeance is Dai’s. You know the saying, don’t get mad, get even? Well, Dai apparently never heard it. When he’s on the warpath, everything he does is emotionally charged, with never a thought of serving up that dish cold. He is capable of a level of vindictiveness that is out of proportion to the “crime” originally committed. That does hand in hand with his tendency to exaggerate (to himself, and in general) the ways in which he has been “wronged”. As far as he is concerned, justice is being served, even if he has to go overboard to do it. As a result of his touchiness, that often could not be farther from the truth.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Violet. Eye... shaped?

Hair: His hair is the kind of pale/medium pink that you might see in a sunset, with a single streak of black in his bangs. It’s long, very long, somewhere between curly and wavy. He has long bangs that frame his face and nearly touch his shoulders at their longest. … I’m not sure how entirely to describe it, so I sketched a really bad reference.

Top -- 18th century Rococo style coat with waistcoat beneath. Sunset colors, booyah! A more orangeish rather than yellowish gold for Venus, too. Possibly the waistcoat in gold? Probably best left up to the colorist’s discretion.

Venetian mask, simple. It is a mask. It has no powers, yay.

Squire
Venetian mask, slightly more complex. At Squire, when Ishtar wears the mask, he can amplify the passion of an enemy, positive or negative, while that enemy stays within his line of sight. Whatever emotion said enemy is feeling most strongly at that time that Ishtar’s power is activated will be amplified exponentially, to the point where it is a nagging distraction. As a Squire, Ishtar may use his ability for a total of a minute. If he were to use it on two enemies, the effect would last thirty seconds each, and so on. If the mask falls off of his face or is otherwise removed, the effect will end. If he cannot see an enemy, he cannot amplify that enemy's emotion.

Knight
Venetian mask, still more complex. At Knight, Ishtar has two minutes to work with instead of one, but otherwise the effect is consistent with his weapon’s Squire ability. If he were to use his ability on two enemies, the effect would last for one minute each, and so on. Four enemies, thirty seconds, etc.

Fav. Food: On the "simple side" Chicken Fettuccine from scratch, a simple meal that can have depth of flavor. But a good Beef Wellington that takes time, effort, preparation, and care is unmatched in its succulent decadence. If you can't experience the finer things in food then how can you experience the finer things in life itself?

Hated Food: Instant meals, TV Dinners. A microwave is for an uncultured swine.

Occupation: Private aircraft pilot for the CEO of a corporate company that has locations worldwide. An excellent way to taste the exceptional cuisine of every nation.

Hobbies:

Food Connoisseur: What's a flight around the world without a few new meals to try? To see the world is one thing, but to taste it is truly eye-opening. You cannot compare frozen lasagne to an Italian chef's masterpiece, nor can you compare the cheap disgust of Taco Bell to the street foods of Mexico. Derrick would describe the difference between Chicago-style pizza and New York-style pizza but that is one debate he's not willing to engage with.

Oil Painting: True oil painting takes time. Each layer can take days to dry before he will add to it, during which time he is usually flying across the country and at times to another continent. For him, it is important that when viewing his art the viewer would be unsure if it was a painting or a photograph. He doesn't want his art to look cheap like a Bob Ross painting.

Virtues:

Gentlemanly: A byproduct of how Derrick was raised and perpetuated by the professionalism he must adhere to in his career. He always strives to put his best foot forward despite others' lack of decorum, social ineptitude, and economic or social status. Often gives a new acquaintance the benefit of the doubt before making any snap judgments. He leads by example by fighting for what is fair and right and will own up to his mistakes.

Forgiving: Nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. Holding a grudge won't get him anywhere in the long run. An old saying he will always remember is an eye for an eye means the whole world ends up blind.

Flaws:

High Standards: Derrick not only expects excellence from himself but also from those he associates with. If you're going to do something half-assed don't bother doing it at all, hire an expert and just pay their fee. Do or do not, there is no try.

Conceited: Sometimes Derrick cannot read the room and can carry on about his own experiences with world travel. He has an inflated self-image and perceives himself as incredibly entertaining, sophisticated and well-mannered. He is for sure at least one of these three, however, others may just view him as arrogant or self-centered.

Enemies further away may be dazzled by it and a bit disoriented. The intensity is like staring up at the sun or having light reflect off a sheet of metal His magic pool lasts for 30 seconds.

Nickname: N/A; he went by "Dookey-poo" from an old flame but, err, the implications of it has caused him to shrug off nicknames for good.

Age: Thirty-four.

Birthday: June 21st.

Fav. Food: Anything incredibly expensive; he's under the predilection that gourmet foods worth an arm and a leg with a back list of orders must be good.

Hated Food: Mundane foods. To him, all of it tastes like sugary cardboard.

School: Graduated; currently an animator.

Hobbies:

Competitive play - It may be difficult to imagine, but possibly ranked within the top one-hundred players of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl's online play years ago was this thirty-four year old; attracted to the franchise of handheld games when his nephew, Caelum, introduced it to him. If inquired, Duke brushes off his still frequent play with nonchalant shrugs of his shoulder, but he still puts in time after work to obtain and train the best gaggle of natures and IVs for online Pokemon battles. He hides himself behind the trainer name "Yaru," but this handle can be found in a myriad of other online games, which he dips into from time to time. However, no other series of games has held his attention longer than the little pixel monsters shown to him so long ago.

Swimming - An unfortunate side effect of his job is spending long, quiet hours slumped in front of a computer screen with only his hands in motion. Duke still suffers from posture problems as a result, but he has attempted to combat his sedentary lifestyle by hitting the gym. However, when pedaling in place on an elliptical proved to be too dull, he opted for the pool instead. He's not the best swimmer, only capable of a floppy breaststroke for one lap at most, but it's the only active workout he enjoys and doesn't mind putting effort into. He used to have friends who would join him in his outings, but thanks to schedule discrepancies,, he's usually by himself tuning out the world with his waterproof music player. Duke tried to make it a habit every weekend, but thanks to the on and off demands of work, he goes whenever he has the chance to.

Cricket - As with swimming, Duke isn't a seasoned player of the sport, but he is a stringent follower. His ex-girlfriend brought him to the majesty of the sport, and since then, he's been hooked. He's always up-to-date on the standing of teams, and never misses a match—going so far as to stream a game online when in the middle of work even if it may get him chewed out. Even in his apartment (should one be able to conquer his iron-clad will and be allowed entrance) one would find a thickly scribbled trello board full of speculations and theories regarding which and what teams would make it to the top, and which wouldn't even make it passed the preliminaries. If inquired about the sport he regards as a passion, his eyes light up, and he'll babble on and on until shushed.

Virtues:

Caring - Duke doesn't believe in downplaying one's merits, and in actuality, will encourage an opposite party to celebrate them whenever a moment warrants it. Finished that laborious project you've put so much time, effort, and money into? Let him take you out to dinner in congratulations—the bill's on him. Got a satisfactory grade on a test or in a class? Here's a hundred bucks for your efforts, expect the same result if you do it again. Heck, just woke up after a good sleep? Grab a coffee with him and let's chat. Duke is always there for the people he cares for, and not only does his good friends speak the best of him, but so does his family. Caelum, in particular, notes him as being his favorite uncle, and the two are close as a result. The boy will prattle on and on about his "best uncle since, like, ever," and likewise, Duke's face brightens when his nephew is brought up.

Lax - Life's way too serious to be taken seriously, so instead of worrying about everything, why not take the time to enjoy it instead? Duke knows the push and pulls of life can be demanding—heck, his job bides most of his attention and time—but that doesn't mean he's lost the ability to enjoy what time he does have. He has a very gentle, lax approach to life and is known to not fret over the pressures of everyday living, preferring to take things in stride and know that upon doing so, he can tackle items without them piling up on each other. His patience, in particular, is one of the most notable aspects of his personality, and it has been noted by some that if they had an inch of the attitude he has toward life, maybe they too would find some peace within themselves.

Focused - Ever since Duke was a boy, he had a tendency of absorbing himself in whatever activity he'd be doing. His mother would have to call his name numerous times to get his attention, and even then, he'd be reluctant to stop. Now that he is older, he's learned to tune in a little quicker, but the attention he gives to a task still remains to be admirably high. He matched this tendency of his to his current career as an animator, as it takes great determination and attention to remain seated drawing several frames at a time. However, while some may balk at the idea of this, Duke prides himself in his work, and puts 132% of himself into it. This focus does not stop here, though; Duke relates this to just about anything he does until he is satisfied with the results of his effort.

Flaws:

Messy - Unfortunately, the majority who have seen and heard about Duke's "gentle approach to life" aren't wholly convinced—namely because his living quarters are a pigsty. It seems like his ability to care falls to the wayside when it comes to actively cleaning up after himself. Clothes are strewn in all rooms of his apartment, the sink is always overflowing with unwashed dishes, the state of his bathroom is indescribable, and a sour smell permeates the sultry air within. Duke is aware of his uncleanliness, but is reluctant to put in the effort to right his messes unless someone does it for him. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean he isn't embarrassed by this, and will heavily rebuke anyone who suggests visiting him. Despite attempting to keep his messiness veiled in secrecy, one can still get a small glimpse of things in the sloppy way he dresses.

Tactless - Loose lips sink ships, but when it comes to this Dawson, he can drown an armada just by opening his mouth. No secret is safe with Duke, and once someone confides in him, it takes all of his willpower not to venture forth and let the world know. He's under this compulsion to share details about others, thinking that if he has the right to know, so does the world. He's a bit of a gossip as a result, and when information can't be exchanged verbally, he may subtly slip a rumor or two into an email or text and encourage it to be shared. Though things are rarely traced back to him, thanks to his looseness, Duke has ruined a few good friendships and lost opportunities that would've benefited him. If inquired or expected to reflect on his actions, Duke tends to just shrug his shoulders instead, and pretend to be some kind of objective force outside the bounds of the dilemma.

Skeptical - Smoke and mirrors, piss and vinegar—either are Duke's first go-to reasoning behind any claim or miracle cure presented to him without any backing. Heck, even with strong scientific evidence as a foundation, he would still doubt the study's efficacy unless he can comprehend it himself. The man has always been skeptical of people, and it takes great effort for him to swallow back his pride and open up to the possibility of something beyond him without rationality. The insistent need to doubt and second question the motives of others has strained many a relationship with Duke, but he sticks to his guns and thinks there is always an underlying meaning beneath people's intentions. Even during the off chance that he is convinced of something, Duke won't thank an opposite for the realization, and gives credit to himself instead.

Squire: An ornate golden chalice filled with red wine with the symbol of Venus etched onto it. It never seems to tip or spill. Now instilled with magical properties, the wine within the chalice can affect either a target or Sept himself. If it is sipped or splashed onto the face of someone, the target will be overtaken by a love-struck stupor that leaves them unable to attack. The channeled effects of the wine can be used for up to 45 seconds.

Knight Weapon: A larger, much more ornate golden chalice filled with red wine with the symbol of Venus etched onto the decorative emblems. It never seems to tip or spill. The effects of the used wine are now boosted, and may leave the target with a slight wooziness after the stupor wears off. The channeled effects of the wine can be used for up to 60 seconds.

Fantasy/Romance Author: Depending on the genre, or theme, he writes under different pseudo names so that searches for his young adult novels won’t also bring up any of his other adult-themed steamy novels. Ethan runs a Patreon where he releases an unedited chapter every other week for a voted series he has ongoing. Additionally, he will pick 1-2 followers' prompt suggestions for character-building ideas and release it in a short story or novella format. Moments that may have happened to a character between books but don’t have a place in his current plotline.

Hobbies:
Tolkien: His biggest inspiration from a young age was J. R. R. Tolkien. The worlds, the races, and the languages he created set the foundation for Ethan’s life passions. Admittedly he did take Tolkien Studies while in college and is able to read, speak, and write Sindarin. He is also able to read the Dwarvish characters for the cryptic fantasy messages or on fan-made fantasy maps.

Nature Walks: Technology is great, and having the convenience of stores nearby is nice as well. But sometimes it is necessary to shut all of that off and find both peace in something that isn’t white noise from a YouTube video to help clear his mind. While on these walks, Ethan is often looking for inspiration for scenes in a book he might otherwise be stuck on. Sometimes he ventures out with a camera (not his cellphone) or a small set of colored pencils and a sketch pad.

Fantasy Faire: Kind of a seasonal since these normally pop-up around July - October months. Ethan likes to find groups of people who are dressing up for a themed event; wood elf court, merfolk, fae etc. Sometimes he will cosplay as one of the characters in his own series for some shameless self-promotion, but also has a few outfits from book and game series such as Forgotten Realms, Elder Scrolls etc. He’s not huge on video games but he can appreciate the character design and aesthetics.

Dungeons and Dragons: Every other Friday, Ethan gets together in person, and sometimes online if they’re unable to meet in person, with friends he’s known since college and embark on an adventure. Sometimes he will DM for the group for one-shot campaigns but he prefers to participate as a player; currently, he plays an elf paladin named Cirdan.

Virtues:
Creative: Ethan finds a great deal of entertainment by living in a mental world of possibilities with what-if’s and could-be’s. Sometimes his solutions to problems can work in real life since he enjoys thinking outside the box. However not all his ideas are achievable with his current skillset aka he has a bit of a MacGyver mind. Ultimately though, most people he’s met, or situations he’s been in, has in some way, shape, or form, been inserted into a novel; be it good or bad… it’s there.

Charismatic/ Wordsmith: Ethan is good with words; he kind of has to be as a writer. But this extends to public or group speaking and just day-to-day conversations as well. Rarely will he stumble over what he’s trying to say, but he’s not so much of a p***k as to use words with the intent to confuse someone or make himself seem holier-than-thou; unless he has a reason to dislike you, then he might have a bit fun with his extensive vocabulary.

Focused: It's easy for Ethan to immerse himself in a new story, world, or even cause. He becomes focused on whatever topic that has become his muse.

Flaws:
Blunt: Over the years, Ethan has learned that people are often a few fries short of a Happy Meal. Common sense isn’t all that common and while he would like to believe that this sort of thing would be innately ingrained into every person, he is somehow surprised when someone proves him otherwise. Ignorance isn’t an excuse for stupid logic or behavior and Ethan does not tolerate it or find a reason to engage in conversation with fools and will often tell them as such; creatively of course. Shakespeare's insults are some of his absolute favorites.

Dissociate: If a conversation is no longer interesting or engaging, Ethan will sit back and just let his mind wander. It might take a bit to realize he’s no longer an active participant in the topic at hand but somewhere between the lack of eye contact, infrequent blinking as he stares off into the distance (or watching a mental scene for one of his books play out because something said triggered a thought that must be remembered), or lack of conversation by acknowledging something was said. This is not necessarily intentional (sometimes it is and if that’s the case he’ll get up and leave) but it is perceived as being quite rude.

Headstrong: Due to his borderline obsession in the subjects that draw his attention he tends be believe he knows better then others, going so far as to become annoyed when others don't see what he know in his mind is common sense.

Weapon & Magic The hope is that as he grows, the magic in the stones would be able to magnetically deflect, or redirect single-target magic or weapon attacks either by pulling it towards him and away from an ally, or away from himself to avoid being hit.

Page Weapon: His weapon is two magnetic stones - no magic but has the strength of a 5-lb magnet each, at best he can stick it to something but that’s the nature of what they’re made of.

Squire: A round buckler with a Polaris symbol in the center; strong magnets keep it fixed to a bracelet worn on his wrist.

The shield can be thrown like a disc, however, while it is attached to the bracelet Kursk is able to channel his magic to repel enemy attacks on him and his allies within a 10' radius, for third stage characters this is only half as effective.

While the shield can be thrown, as long as Kursk is holding the shield he is able to channel his magic to repel enemy attacks on him and his allies within a 10' radius. At Knight stage his magic is also able to repel enemies, pushing them away from him and his allies up to 10' away causing them to at bare minimum stagger away, up to player discretion if their character is knocked off their feet.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS - If you barely suggest going on a hike in Fawn's vicinity, she is already there. She practically comes equipped with at least 2 bottles of water and a backpack and can recommend all of the best trails - even if they have to be beginner trails so you don't have to climb with your unsupportive shoes. Why did you wear those on this outing anyways? She's also the girl who will entirely arrange your camping trips.

FOOD IN GENERAL TBH - Fawn is a foodie. If there is a place worth eating at, Fawn has been there. Unless it's full of vegetables. Ew. As an extension of being outdoorsy, Fawn always is making or is in possession of home made fruit leather and jerky. And of course, dried fruit. She's actually seen pretty often in the spring and summer at farmer's markets picking up the best produce she can find. She also refuses to used canned sauces and makes all of her own.

YOUTUBE - Fawn runs a cooking channel on Youtube. It's fairly popular with the slow-food movement, organic, and clean eating crowds despite her not actively catering to any such movements. Eatery reviews, recipe trials, slow cooker adventures, the works. Also there are artsy 'hipster' pictures of everything.

JUST KEEPS GOING AND GOING (Energetic) - Fawn's roommate is pretty sure that Fawn doesn't sleep. She may just run off of cold-brew coffee and an excitement for living. She's the type of person who can be out socializing until 3 in the morning, go to bed at 4, wake up at 6 for class, and repeat again the next night.

YOU SEE THAT RIGHT THERE? I WANT IT (Driven) - Fawn knows exactly what she wants in life and will step over bear-traps to take the steps she needs to get to that point. There is no wishy-washy room for her to consider her options, since she's had her mind made up since she was 12 as to where she was planning to be.

AND GOING AND GOING AND GOING (Exhausting) - You have to set your boundaries with Fawn for socializing, or else she will just show up. You will be included in all of her plans. You will be dragged on adventures you didn't sign up for, and she will wear the social energy right out of you.

BUT WHAT IF I WANT IT (Inconsiderate) - Fawn doesn't consider what her friends may want as she drags them on her adventures or even steps right over their wants to get what she wants, without pausing to make sure nobody is getting hurt before she does it.   • Vintage Fashion - And by 'vintage' we mean really vintage. Julien enjoys wearing and making victorian or edwardian styled fashion. He's studied fashion history and loves that period and perfers to dress in that style himself whenever he can. Either vintage pieces he has picked up or pieces he's made from historical patterns. It's not the easiest hobby to have and it does get him some strange looks but it makes him feel good so he stopped caring that he gets stared at. When he's not sticking to those two periods he also likes making other things that mimic various period fashions but unless he's dressing up for a reason he prefers either victorian or edwardian.

  • Modeling - Since Julien does like making historical period clothing he's taken up modeling as well. Either his own creations or working for other crafters who need a male model. It's a fun thing to do and he likes being dressed up by other people who are passionate about fashion history and costuming. He also enjoyes working with other models and making or tailoring clothes for shoots as well on the side if he's not in front of the camera himself.

  • DIY Furniture - Since he prefers making things by hand Julien has gotten into a habit of either making or refurbishing furniture himself. He likes taking what he sees as a skeleton and bringing out the magic in something. Plus it means his home is decorated with pieces no one else will have. The whole process is soothing to him and he can let himself go and destress while he paints or he can take his anger out with a hammer and nail. It does make him a bit of money on the side as well since he can't keep everything he does.


Virtues:
  • "You Can Do It" Encouraging -- Given his slightly odd interested Julien learned pretty quick as a young adult that the best way to make others have happy lives is to encourage them to do what hames them happy. No matter if that's something others might find stupid or silly. He was teased quite often for his interests but he knows it makes him happiest so he tries to make sure others know that their interests aren't stupid as well. If any of his friends, or anyone around him, gets down or thinks they can't do something he'll be the first to tell them that they can do anything they want.

  • Sturdy as a Rock Stubborn -- No matter what is in front of him Julien isn't going to give up or give in. He's headstrong and stubborn and will just plant himself in place and refuse to let someone push him around. It makes him able to stand up to insults and bullying and also makes it so much harder for someone to tell him he can't do something he knows he can do.

  • "Never Tell a Lie" Honest -- Julien has never had the time or patience to be anything but honest, almost to a fault. He just doesn't see the point in lying to people or trying to sugar coat things. It means those around him can trust him to always tell them what is going on and trust he's not going to hide things from them. It's easier to just be honest, as far as he is concerned, because if you're telling the truth you don't have to remember your lies.


Flaws:
  • "Hey Guys, Watch This" Reckless -- Quite often Julien doens't think before he acts. Or if he dose think he ignores his better instincts and still does things that are bad for him. While this habit has helped him sometimes more often than not this habit pushes people away from him or ruins whatever plans he may have had. He doesn't really seem to have much of an ability to think in the long term and will do things that might seem good now but will, in the long run, cause problems. This leaves him in a never ending scramble to do the next reckless thing to keep on his feet.

  • "Rock and a Hard Place"Stubborn -- No one can tell Julien what he can or can't do and that includes reality. He is not above continuing to do something that has already proven to be the wrong choice or a bad thing just because that's what he committed to and he refuses to change his mind. Trying to tell him he's wrong is either going to get you yelled at or ignored. Whatever he has decided is right is going to be right. The end.

  • "Take a Chill Pill" Moody -- Juliey doesn't ever really stick with one emotion for long but he can swing from one to another in the blink of an eye. He tends to flash between various states quicker than anyone can keep up and tends to leave those around him with whiplash. He'll go back to being nice fast enough if he's angry at you but it will take very little to make him mad again once you've done it the first time.

Painting - Mel spends her life studying her surroundings. The micro-expressions of those who speak to her, the way they form their words, their postures and gestures. She doesn't hear them, so she watches them until she understands. This has lead to a study of those close to her, and Mel paints them. Almost exclusively in oil paint, on canvasses throughout her studio, she paints only portraits.

Drinking - Really. One can call it less of a hobby, and more of a habit, but Mel is often not without a drink by choice. While not an alcoholic, the young woman definitely engages in quite a bit of alcohol abuse, and will likely find herself worsening if something in her life doesn't change. She is a highly operational drinker, and often uses her buzz to numb whatever emotions she may be suppressing. She enjoys liquor, and will go out purely to try something new that she doesn't yet have. This wasn't addressed when she was a teen, living back home in Amsterdam, and now that she has her own loft, it is a habit that's depth is predominantly hidden from others.

Reading She knows what you're thinking. How boring. And it is. Mel doesn't read fiction. The stacks of books in her loft range from history to art theory, to design, and her recollection and comprehension of the materials hints at a mind that is often not applied to its full potential.

Searching Adventures - If Mel gets it in her mind that she needs to see something, whether it's the way light hits the bridge across town at sundown, or an arch of the building she passed on the bus, the girl will go and find it, whether you come with her or not. She feels compelled to find these objects, the perfect stapler, a chair that is exactly this tall, and, if not in her studio or class, is probably tracking down one of them.

Music - The one truly 'outgoing' activity that Mel partakes in are ASL translations of music. She enjoys cranking the volume until the floor vibrates and she can feel the song, and participates both online and in person with members of her community to create physical art. An example would be the talented Kelly McGreer's "Grenade" by Bruno Mars.

Virtues:

Perceptive -- Mel may not use her mouth for much beyond smoking and drinking [if she has the choice], but she knows how to watch people. Humanity, she's found, has a finite set of motivations that guide their actions and responses. People are creatures of habit, and Mel has a gift for recognizing patterns. This is particularly good for the sole child of wealthy parents that expect you to sober up, throw on a dress, and mingle with the upper echelon of society. More commonly, it helps her make the best out of her daily encounters... When she chooses to.

Tolerant -- She can take a lot of s**t. A lot of s**t. Your emotional baggage, your insults, your cheerfulness or bad attitude. Mel doesn't care if you're a slut, or a b***h, or pretentious snob, or if you're a really nice person. If you insist on being around her, then you're bound to be tolerated, no matter who you are or what you do.

Focused Perfectionist -- Give Mel a task. If it's interesting, catches her eye, then you can expect she'll tackle it with an almost intimidating intensity. Of course, once it's in her hands, the perfectionist won't stop until it satisfies her. "Good Enough" isn't a part of her vocabulary.

Flaws:

Obsessive -- That painting. She has to finish it. The project that she needs to spend the next 43 consecutive hours working on. Mel will forego responsibilities, promises, her own health for whatever currently has her fascination. This has broken up many a relationship, and is something her closest relatives and 'friends' have learned is a part of her base nature. It ain't changin' any time soon.

Indifferent -- Unfortunately [or not], if you don't fall into the short list of things that Mel cares about, then she simply doesn't. This isn't to say that she hates you, but the girl really doesn't care about your score on the last exam, your new job, or the death of your favorite grandma.

Self-Destructive -- Mel puts up with a lot. Even things that she shouldn't. The girl's criteria for friends are, namely, those who want to be friends with her, whether that's good for her or not. You can beat on her emotionally and physically, and she's not likely to do a thing about it.


***It should be noted that Mel is a deaf character. As a young child, Mel contracted bacterial meningitis. The antibiotics used to treat her illness saved her life, but left her deaf, as they have to many other children. Meningitis is one of the leading causes of post-natal hearing loss, but it is far better than the alternative [that is to say, death]. Oddly enough, dark-eyed people [who possess higher melanin contents] have been found to be far less likely to become deafened by meningitis than light-eyed people. [2 out of 32 subjects had dark eyes].

Mel does not have a cochlear implant, nor any sort of hearing aid, though she is speaking [and has attended years of speech therapy], and can read/interpret most speech. Mel communicates most comfortably in ASL or LSF/NGT, however, those not in the deaf community can expect her to speak to them in heavily accented English, due to both being foreign and being unable to hear herself speak. She lives independently, and does not view herself as disabled. Some of her hobbies reflect that she is deaf, and if you have any questions about interacting with Mel, please ask!***

Hair: "Black Cherry" or "Chocolate Cherry" - A rich, almost black, chocolate brown shade, despite reddish highlights. Straight, and cut rather short. Worn slightly tousled and in her face, unless she's cleaned up/completely sober, in which case it's slicked back [maybe slicked back in powered form?].

Face: Mel's face is usually somewhat impassive. At most, her brows furrow slightly, and there's a slight expression of displeasure or concern. High cheekbones, slightly angular, Mel has a pretty face, but it's usually marked by darkened circles under the eyes.

Skintone: Slightly tan / a shade or so darker than the standard template base.

Other: Mel has quite a number of tattoos all over her body, the most visible of which will be bands on her upper arms. [NSFW Ref] or this chibi for upper arms.

Clothes: Mel has two styles: expensive, fitted masculine, or loose, layered studio wear. When she locks herself into her lair for days on end, she usually wears loose tank tops, clothes that were one really nice, but have since been butchered and ruined by art projects and frustration. Uniform: Very much an early military officer's uniform. Colors are mostly up to the artist [whatever looks good], but I prefer the grey and paler blue tones on the Polaris palate, as well as black accents, for a polished design. Also inspiration from the royal horse and life guard of London.

Top -- A coat along the lines of this style, with colors/changes appropriate to Polaris.
Bottoms -- High-waisted, well-tailored white [or the palest blue on the swatch] pants. This style
Gloves -- Partway up the forearm, matching the pants. May be over the jacket, or under it, depending on what looks better.
Belt -- SWORDBELT TYPE DEAL? to hold her flask, so she can at least pretend to not constantly drink from it.
Shoes -- Tall, black boots with the toe properly polished.
Shoulders -- Nothing too fancy. That'll come in later stages.
Accessories -- Simple, militaristic/ceremonial. Something with the Polaris symbol?

Magic
Squire - As long as Lodestone drinks from her flask, she compels/draws enemy aggro. That is to say, enemies within sight of the poor knight feel a sudden, overwhelming desire to abandon their current target and turn their attentions on her, instead. One could say that the compulsion is magnetic. Her eyes turn a complete, eerie black when under the influence of this power. She has about 60 seconds worth of that magical fire water to drink from.

Knight - In addition to drawing enemy aggression, drinking from her flask gives Lodestone the ability to better handle the damage/stress coming her way, as a sort of "tank". When drinking from the flask, she shrugs off magical attacks from those of equal or lower rank, if those attacks have to be vocalized to be carried out, much like a diplomat shrugging off petty insults during a negotiation [This bonus effect does not work against physical weapons]. She has about 90 seconds worth of "alcohol" in the flask.

*It is possible for enemies of equal rank or higher to resist her magnetism if they are particularly determined [aka extreme loathing of original target, extreme fear of Lodestone, etc]. It is successively harder to resist the lower they are in rank.

Online Gaming - Usually this is an activity he does alone when the other boys aren’t around, but when he does play his usual go-to games are League of Legends along with Blade and Soul. When the boys want to join in, he makes the switch to Overwatch. He makes time to game at least an hour everyday, making sure to keep his skills fresh and ready.

Calligraphy - Myungsoo takes pride in his word art, having won an award as a child in a school art fair. During his days a trainee, he took extra classes to learn new forms of calligraphy and keep this talent as a second nature. He often leaves notes in different types of writing for the boys, each one has their own special writing.

Prudence - Myungsoo is known for his ability to plan ahead, for many types of outcomes and situations. He is sure to always approach a situation with an open mind and critical thinking for any turn. Often counseling others and solving disputes.

Flaws:

Absent-Minded- Myungsoo has a wanderer's mind, he tends to not stay in one thought for to long and his thoughts curve into different directions seemingly out of nowhere most of the time. Most mistake this for a lack of listening skills, but it is purely due to an overactive and creative mindset.

Paranoid- Due to his former trainee and idol status, alongside the company he was contracted with, Myungsoo has developed a state of mind that there are more that 85% of people walked around him who are watching, stalking and calculating his every move. This developed due to crazed stalker fans in his home country.

Weapon & Magic

Page Weapon: The large headpiece that he wears, from the reference above, is several gears connected together with metal. It’s used as a weapon when he tries to attack his attacker, he has to spin the large gear in a certain direction to shoot a projectile small gear that is attached by a chain. It's only damage is from the speed at which it travels, so the damage of a small pebble. More often than not it comes back as a boomerang and hits himself instead. He is still tinkering with it.

Squire: The headpiece has now sprouted several gears that spin on their own along with the main large gear. He no longer has to manually turn the gear to get use out of it. Now that he is able to use magic, he channels energy into the headpiece and it slows time around with within a 10 foot radius for 30 seconds. Time normally runs for him still. At this stage he cannot target someone to use the ability on, it effects everyone. He still has the gear that shoots out of the headpiece itself, but still only the damage of a small pebble. The tinkering process is slowly getting better, at least the boomerang effect is less!

Knight Weapon: In this stage, the headpiece itself extends to an eyepiece, like a scope. No other gears add to the float around the main piece. At the side of the eye lense, there is a small dial to increase the target and pin his accuracy - He can now target his enemies. He slows time still at a ten foot radius but the duration is extended to 45 seconds. The tinkering is complete and the boomerang effect of the small shot gear is nonexistent! This component of his weapon is used largely for distraction or surprise, the damage is that of a medium rock.

His magic pool lasts for 60 seconds.

handy - Spends a lot of time with his “man’s man” father, so Theau has budding mechanic and carpentry skills. Picks up odd jobs for various types of yard work and simple house fixes. Will reshingle your roof, paint your walls, build ramps for your stairs, and promises to “figure it out” if he doesn’t already know what he’s doing. Not afraid of speaking his mind, even through adversity. Not afraid of starting and finishing fights. Doesn’t care if people judge or ridicule him. But he’s not aloof about it, so it tends to garner more respect than disgust. Sometimes.

dreamer - Has high hopes for a living, impossible optimism and wonder. Theau doesn’t spend much time planning for events and outcomes, but he is still mesmerized by the “ideal” perfect world, perfect life. impulsive - He doesn’t have a pause to think button and just helplessly acts on whatever he’s compelled to do. Sometimes it’s spending egregious amounts of money on food. Hobbies:

Baking - Tom is an avid baker and has been since childhood. While he's also been cooking just as long, baking makes him incredibly happy and lets him make people smile. His most (in)famous dish are beignets, but most enjoy anything he bakes, and he's always trying new recepies and flavors and blends to make things taste that much better.

Drones - Tom is an overgrown twelve year old and loves to take drones outside and fly them. His favorites are the DIY sort you assemble yourself and he owns three he enjoys taking out and flying. Tom also enjoys modding them, trying to find new things to use them for, although, he's since been prohibited from flying them into the house remotely, since he started using it to spy on his brother.

Knitting - Tom very recently picked up knitting as something to do when not doing anything active or at work. Tom's worked hard since childhood. Originally striving for exceptional grades, Thomas then added not only grades to his list, but work, balancing both to help his family at 16, and he worked through college and into today. This is not bad -- he enjoys the work, and the results, and will usually release steam and rest when needed -- or with gentle nudging from loved ones. He always gives his all, and always tries his best, and the results always show the time and effort he puts into things, from small details on a beignet platter to his drones, or his work at the plant. Nothing is half assed. Ever.

Affable
"You underestimate the character of man..."

Tom is that big scary guy who is in fact, a teddy bear. He likes people and he's slightly a puppy about it. He's warm and friendly, greeting strangers and friends ewqually and offers his warmth and compassion freely. He's easy to get along with, normally, and often known to be kind and helpful as well. In short, he really is fairly affable, and most people find that quite a releif.

Reliable
"Light up the night; there is a city this darkness can't hide."
If Tom says he's going to do something, he's doing it, even if he needs reminded. People count on him to be on time -- and he is. He readily does what he's expected to do in a situation and knows how to ensure things go well. He's been allowed multiple responsibilities before as people know he'll see them done right, and while not perfect, he does his best, every time, and it's all anyone can ask. In fact, when he can't complete a task, he makes sure to inform people early enough on average so they can adjust accordily, making him one person people can count on.

White Knight Complex
"If you destroy the working parts what you get is a broken machine."
Tom is a good man -- but he's a little bit of a dork. He wants to help people enough that he sometimes helps people who don't need it, even if they say no, and kind of tries to help them more than he ought to. Tom will be protective when there's no need, and sees trouble where there is not, and he WILL save you. From what? THE THING. YOU SAW IT. Regardless, he tries to be a white knight a lot... And... He's a bit of a pain more often than not, making the fact kick him in the a**. A lot.

Melodramatic
"They will hang me from the rope tonight..."
When things go wrong, Tom is a bit.... Overdramatic. While not fully theatrical (no fainting couches needed here), he does act like a 12 year old about it. If he screws up, EVERYTHING WRONG IS HIS FAULT HE IS HORRIBLE HE'S SORRY. When he's angry? YOU ARE THE SCOURGE OF THE EARTH. Scare him? OH GOD HE'S NOT HAPPY. He's even been known to get as dramatic as his brother Albert, minus the hysteria, and will in fact, unintentionally, exacerbate problems with his melodrama. He's a bit over the top, and it gets annoying, fast.

Self Blaming
"Everything I have done, I have done for you... But it turned out all wrong."
Tom takes failure badly. Very badly. As in, if he screws upop, everything is over, nothing is right, there's no fix and he wants to go sob in a corner until he's either asleep or drinks it out of his btrain. He does NOT cope with failure or letting people down well, even his own family. And it likes playing with his melodrama, making his periods of self blame all the worse. Getting him to understand it's not his fault is also tricky, and often takes someone he trusts to get him to cheer up without sleep/alcohol/ETC -- and most people think he's a weenie for it.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Tom has hazel eyes, specifically, green/brown blended, and his eyes are round. He's developing some crow's feet as well.

Hair: Tom's hair comes down to his shoulders in very loose waves, while his bangs in front are somewhat curlier, part in the center, and come to his eyebrows. His hair is salt and pepper all over.

Tom! Please ignore the fact he's shaved. He needs his beard. His beard is his secret weapon.

Face: Tom's face is squared, and his skintone slightly tanned, however while his lips are narrow, it;s hard to see much, because Tom has a magnifivent beard.

Adventuring - Tymiko really enjoys explore new and lesser-known places, particularly difficult-to-access ones like areas too small for adults or too high for most people to dare climbing to. She loves nooks and crannies and hiding herself away when she wants to be alone and clear her head, particularly when she's upset. Usually she will climb trees, but occasionally she'll find some way to get up a building by climbing a drainpipe or end up somewhere else she probably shouldn't have access to or has no business being. When overwhelmed by her emotions, such things matter little to her and her adrenaline sometimes gets her to places she wouldn't ordinarily be able to get to. Even when not alone or troubled, she relishes being able to hide where others wouldn't think to look, like when playing hide-and-seek or simply being able to go where others can't or aren't willing to. She likes being active and playing games outside, spending time in the outdoors while admiring the beauty of nature. Ty likes pushing herself and while rock-climbing gyms are fun for her, she often considers them too tame because of the gear and hand-holds involved. Free-handed climbing and parkour are the sorts of activities she enjoys more and that get her blood pumping.

Swimming - Ty doesn't she practice swimming competitively, but she does so when she can to relieve stress and enjoy immersing herself in a nearly weightless environment. The nature of water and its beauty appeals to her tremendously, so much to the point that when she sees a pool, she immediately has the urge to enter it. Learning and performing tricks such as swan diving and different styles of swimming are a great source of entertainment for her, especially when she can pretend she's a pirate abandoning ship or a mermaid exploring the ocean's depths by swimming strictly with her legs together. Everything underwater is, to Tymiko, an entirely different world, and mostly inaccessible to air-breathers.

Pretending - Tymiko sees the world through a child's eyes - more so than other teenagers her age - and clings to her childhood as best she can. In this fashion, she constantly exercises her imagination by daydreaming and playing pretend, requiring very little to keep herself amused. A bicycle might be a beloved steed and a playground can turn into a pirate ship being ravaged by a kraken. While her peers may have lost interest in games like tag and hide-and-seek long ago, Ty still stubbornly plays these games whenever she can in addition to creating her own. She still talks to her imaginary friends on occasion, causing her family to worry for her sometimes because that's one of many things she hasn't shown any inclination toward 'growing out of'. Her idol is Peter Pan and she is determined to live her life as much like a child as she can, often playing the role of a pirate girl in her games. Unfortunately at the stage she is in her life, due to her beliefs, transitioning from a child into a teenager has been especially hard for her and she's had difficulty coping.

Virtues:
Creative - Due to her love of playing pretend and using her imagination, Tymiko has had a creative streak since she was a child. She used to believe that making up or ‘interpreting’ stories from pictures was the true act of reading, causing her parents to ask her to ‘read’ to them for their entertainment up until she discovered what reading actually was. When the girl didn’t have enough toys to play with, she would draw and cut out figures to dress or move about. Ty was also the sort that enjoyed making pillow and blanket forts, using weeds from her mother’s garden to make ‘stews’, collecting bottle caps to serve as play coins for pirate treasure, and more. She can be very resourceful and innovate, applying her creativity to whatever problems she may face.

Brave - Despite her fears of what others might think of her and what they say about her in regards to calling her weird and childish, Tymiko does her best to be brave in terms of staying true to herself. Due to Peter Pan being her hero, she came to adopt many of his ideals such as being brave, even if that entails rash decisions and foolish choices and she knows there are risks and consequences involved. Over the years, she discovered that true bravery isn't a lack of fear, but an acceptance of it. Even when the odds are against her or she knows that she's bound to lose or fail, Ty gathers her courage and does her best to try anyway. Although she is naturally more comfortable to let things be, avoid confrontation in favor of harmony, and go with the flow when she can, she will stand up and fight tooth and nail for what she believes in if her values are compromised.

Curious - Although she is naturally introverted, Ty's curiosity of other people and things keeps her from being entirely anti-social and is also why she’s adventurous and likes to explore. She is motivated by the idea of being able to discover something impossible or unexplainable. With people, she is driven by the prospect of finding people she could consider real, true friends because she believes such friendships are rare and thus all the more valuable. Even if there are people she doesn’t like, Tymiko gets curious as to what makes them the way they are and will often pester, poke, and prod them to learn more about them rather than to try to avoid them. She believes that the more she learns about people and is able to understand them, the better she might be able to get along with them and, perhaps, be understood better in turn.

Empathetic - Tymiko is very empathetic and sympathetic towards others. While she dislikes the human race as a whole, she has a very caring nature when it comes to individuals. When she doesn’t understand someone, she does her best to try to see things from their perspective so she can relate to them better and attempt to get an idea of what they’re going through, usually in the hopes that she can help or at least not hold it against them for being the way that they are, regardless of whether she agrees with it or not. When dealing with people she doesn’t understand, she does her best to be as honest, sincere, and genuine with them as possible in the hopes that they will eventually feel safe enough to do the same with her. She feels she’s live a sheltered life and though she wants to stay as much a child as she can, there are other aspects of her that she wants to mature, like consideration for others and their circumstances.

Flaws:
Extremist - This girl has a hard time finding balance in anything she does. She's almost always one extreme or the other: extremely happy or extremely upset; extremely talkative or extremely quiet; extremely mature or extremely immature, etc. She can rarely find an in-between even through her feelings toward others. She either hoards people close to the point of being possessive of them or, that failing, pushes them away, claiming they mean nothing to her. When she endeavors to do something, the only two possible results she believes she can manage are total failure or total success. It's all or nothing for Tymiko, making her something of a perfectionist and difficult to work with in certain regards. If something isn't done right, it has to be done all over again or not at all. She has been trying to work on this, but it’s been having detrimental effects on her lifestyle, particularly because she feels that since she isn’t exactly considered a child any more, she must be an adult. As this is the one thing she has been striving to avoid becoming, she gets depressed at the mere idea and contemplates suicidal thoughts. If she can’t stay a child, she would rather be nothing at all than allow herself to become a corrupt adult.

Immature - There are a few things Tymiko picked up from Peter Pan that she probably would have been better without. One of them is that forgetting is the key to happiness. Because of that, Ty tends to purposely forget things that stress her out or upset her in order to avoid such issues. This may be childish, but if you told her so, she would probably just consider it a compliment without reflecting on the negative connotations of the term. Other childish traits Ty tends to exhibit are selfishness, denial, and an inability to know when enough is enough. She acts more ignorant or naive than her years and has been known to play dumb when she doesn't want to face a simple fact of reality. Her childish nature is also evident through her cheerfulness, playfulness, and optimism, but she sometimes exhibits these traits during the most inappropriate of times which can result in the annoyance and disapproval of others.

Possessive - This girl is very easily jealous of people. She tends to think of others as being in two categories: only her friend and her friend alone, or not her friend at all. This is a result of her all-or-nothing way of thinking combined with her high standards of friendship and her defense mechanism of pushing people away in order to avoid feeling rejected. This combination makes it difficult for her to make many friends, though, and Tymiko is often lonely, so when she finds a potential friend, she clings to them for dear life. This frequently causes the person to feel suffocated by her, especially when Ty gets jealous if they interact too amicably with anyone else. And of course if the person expresses the slightest bit of unease, Tymiko will shove them into the category of ‘not her friend at all’ simply to avoid being hurt herself. She claims she would rather have no friends than a bunch of superficial ones, but her loneliness tends to gnaw away at her stubborn pride, making her feel weak.

Over-Emotional - Like everything else about her, Tymiko’s emotions tend to manifest themselves in extremes which can make her a pretty intense person and tricky to interact with if one isn’t used to it. She tends to make a bigger deal out of things than necessary for reasons sometimes completely unrelated to the subject she seems to be focusing on. Ty wears her heart on her sleeve, exposing her true thoughts and feelings to others without reservation, which many might find obnoxious. While she can become frequently cranky or annoyed, it’s not all that difficult to cheer her right back up because she laughs just as easily as she cries, temperamental as she is. At least part of this may be attributed to her being a teenage girl with many different hormones and trying to resist various changes and growing up. However, some things, such as her tendency to be a packrat out of great sentimentality for the momentos she saves, are all her.


PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Bright aqua blue (#00ccff ██████) in color, large, and almond-shaped.

Hair: Medium-length black hair that is voluminous, thick, and wavy in style. It curls at the tips and goes about an inch or two past her shoulders. She occasionally wears a braid in her hair and usually has a headscarf or headwrap.

Face: Heart-shaped, childish face with an olive-tan (#de9457 ██████ just like her brother) complexion, a soft, somewhat flat nose, and small, slightly pointed ears with silver hoop earrings.

Squire Magic:
Description: Atlantis touches the sapphire blue orb on the end of her staff once, causing it to glow. Then the glow spreads to the rest of the staff and she raises it to hold it horizontally above her head and twirls it. Magic in the form of water shoots from the circular orbit formed in a violent spray to splash on anyone within a 10-foot radius. This is not real water, though it may feel like it until it disappears when the attack has ended.

People sprayed with the magic will find tumultuous waves of intense emotion crashing down on them, fickle as the sea that is calm one moment and turbulent the next. The attack disrupts emotional stability and causes a distraction. Those who are sprayed will be affected until she stops channelling the magic after 30 seconds.

Knight Weapon: An ornamental, blunt-edged short sword* about the length of her arm that's transparent and gradient blue to black in color. The sword is made of aquamarine; transparent and reminiscent of water. The sapphire blue glass orb from the first two weapon stages is incorporated at the end of the handle and held by three dragon claws just like the staff of the previous stage.

*Atlantis' sword is blunt and not meant to be used as an actual weapon. It's purely ornamental like a sword a statue might have. This weapon was discussed with Song to make sure it was okay and did not overlap too much with the Royal Knight swords. Unlike the Royal Knight swords, Atlantis' is not made of crystal but of aquamarine that is transparent and reminiscent of water. Royal Knight crystal swords are also more faceted and longer than Atlantis' short sword.

Fav. Food: Does coffee count as a food? Zahra's fast-paced lifestyle requires some serious caffeine intake, and she seems to always have a cup of this steaming beverage nearby. She takes it black, no sugar or cream added. Additionally, toast with jam. Coffee and toast is all a body needs.

Hated Food: Cheese. Jesus, why is this stuff in ********? It's coagulated milk. Disgusting. Similarly, she's not a fan of most dairy products.

School: Graduated from Meadowview High, never attended college.

Occupation: Cashier at Destiny City's finest (citation needed) gas station! Ringing up rude customers, giving change to ungrateful bastards, and chasing drunkards out of the bathrooms, all for earning quality minimum wage!

Hobbies: Most of Zahra's hobbies center around outdoor activities, and she definitely enjoys her time with nature when she's able to get away from that blasted gas station.

Geocaching - This is so awesome! Taking a GPS, following the clues, and venturing through strange places to find a tiny container holding a piece of paper, only to sign the paper and then replace it and the container exactly where you found it? Sweeeeeet. Zahra enjoys this because it allows her to discover new spots in the city and surrounding areas. She's able to combine this with her mountain biking, and has loads of fun with it.

Mountain Biking - Not just biking, but mountain biking! Zahra considers this more interesting and challenging than conventional inter-city biking, and goes out onto the trails as often as she can. Mountain biking is a difficult activity, and is far more than just simply peddling a bicycle. This is precisely why Zahra likes it, because it never gets tedious and the entirety of the bike ride keeps her busy. Navigating the various types of terrain, taking jumps, and deciding just exactly how to proceed through this part of the trail, it's definitely not a passive activity. Plus, it gives her a good workout and that's always nice.

Volunteering - Do not mistake Zahra for some do-gooder, "help the unfortunate" person because of this hobby. As selfish as it may sound, she does this stuff for herself, not for any homeless child or poor senior citizen. As someone who always likes to be doing something, the woman has trouble keeping up with this particular trait through her simple gas station job and apartment life. She supplements her need to keep busy by volunteering. Being a volunteer supplies her with the site and sources to do work, and she's fine with not getting paid for her skill. She even enjoys the outcome of her labors, and is prideful of the projects she helps complete....even if they're most likely going to help some dumb a** who doesn't even deserve it. It's a good thing the volunteers do not even typically meet those their work in benefiting. Zahra favors construction volunteering (think Habitat for Humanity) the most

Virtues:

Sensibly Brave - There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity, and Zahra is able to recognize that line and lean more closely on the not-stupid side. She's afraid of few things that traditionally cause women to scream and run for the nearest elevated thing to stand on. Spiders, snakes, other creepy crawlies, they hardly bother her and she recognizes just how harmless they mostly are to her. Likewise, people who talk smack about how they're gonna “beat her face in” are not intimidating in the slightest, and she stands up to them with ferocity. The gas station has had a few attempted robberies in her time there, and most of them were punk kids who were easily scared off. Zahra doesn't show fear in the face of such obvious non-threats, but she is afraid of things that deserve to be feared. It's difficult not to be afraid in some situations, and she recognizes that fear as natural and does not try to conquer it. She does not let her courage get the best of her, and realizes that it can only carry her so far before she must think of herself, be cautions, and back off. Snatching a child from out of the road and oncoming traffic is brave. Actually following the child into the traffic to save them? While undoubtedly brave, it's also incredibly stupid and will more than likely end in two people being squished by cars, rather than just one.

Worker - Zahra is the type of person who likes to constantly be busy, and is more afraid of boredom than she is of most people. But she does not like to occupy herself with “meaningless” activity such as video games and reading (she's not fond of books), and prefers something of substance to keep her engaged, something that has a noticeable and positive outcome. You won't find her languishing behind the counter at her gas station, lazily popping gum and only moving when a customer enters. No, when there's not someone to immediately help, Zahra is stocking shelves, mopping floors, washing windows, anything to keep her busy. The time passes by quicker when there's things to do, after all. She's not afraid of work in the slightest, and definitely earns her keep wherever she is. This mindset even extends itself to beyond her work schedule, and at home she acts similarly with her chores. There's dishes to wash, carpet to vacuum, grass to mow, and so much more to do.

Prompt - Need something done in a hurry? Zahra is your gal! She's the farthest thing from a procrastinator, and always tackles her to-do list as quickly as possible. There's no point in waiting around to do something that you will have to do eventually anyway, and you'll likely never hear “I'll do it later” come from her. Deadlines are hardly a worry for her, and she even begins to feel a bit antsy when too much time passes before she begins to work on a task. The woman does not discriminate when it comes to whom the job is for, and will do something for a friend or stranger as time efficiently as she will for herself. She tries to couple speed with efficiency, and will never haphazardly rush through something just for the sake of getting it done even faster. Quality is not sacrificed for speed, Zahra simply gets it done as quickly as her skill and knowledge allows. She takes pride in how reliably quick she is, and that pride would mean nothing if the outcome was shoddy.

Purposeful Adventurer - Zahra adores learning new things and experiences, and the combination of her bravery and activity levels makes her very likely to tackle them head on. She does not exactly seek them out for herself, however, and prefers opportunities to prevent themselves to her. This may seem counter to her working trait, but this is actually the basis for it. Doing something just because it is there to do, while definitely adventuresome, has no point. She could be spending her time doing something else, ya dig? You can explore that dark cave all you want to, but unless there's a definite purpose to its exploration then Zahra will not be joining you. It isn't until there's a reason to explore that scary cave that Zahra says “Yeah, let's do this s**t.” Even something as simple as mapping the cave is good enough for her, but she does not like feeling she's doing something for no reason. She's not afraid of change or things out of her comfort zone, but simply asks that there be a reason beyond “I want to" and refuses to foolhardily rush headlong into something that may be useless.

Flaws:

Crude - A Bloodhound Gang song personified, Zahra's manners leave much to be desire. She's not conservative with her tongue at all, and frequently belts out swear words. Cover your childrens' ears around this one, because their “bad word” vocabulary will more than double after they've spent more than ten minutes around an unashamed Zahra. Her philosophy is “the little ******** are gonna learn it one day anyway.” After many years of reprimands and complaints, she has learned to temper her tongue slightly while in formal settings, but an occasional “********” will still slip out. For the most part she's not even completely conscious of the words as she speaks them, and cussing is so ingrained into her mind that it's a literal habit she has to break. This flaw combines marvelously with her impatience one, and it isn't rare to find her standing in a line and cursing up a storm about it. Something else that leaves her mouth freely are belches. She's almost proud of how loud her burps can be, and displays them for anyone within earshot. The “lady” has yet to reach the point of farting in public, but it's probably only a matter of time.

Impatient - As prompt as Zahra is, she unfortunately expects others to operate with the same quickness as she does, and can get quite testy when they don't meet those expectations. Waiting, especially short-term (such as in a line), angers the woman, and she'll be the typical jackass who whines the entire time she's in the line. She could be doing something right now, god. If someone is doing a service for her, either a friend or professional business, they can look forward to multiple daily calls as she checks up to see just how much longer it will take. Additionally, she has no sympathy for those who are the cause of her waiting, as she'll be the one to sigh loudly while waiting in line at the grocery store, and even make a few snide remarks if the cashier is being particularly slow. A waitress's nightmare, Zahra accepts no excuses for “a busy night” and wants her coffee cup topped off now, dammit. This impatience extends to almost everything, and Zahra does not give free passes to anyone. Trainee at the store is taking a little longer than normal due to experience? HURRY UP. A friend along for a bike ride can't keep up? STOP BEING SO GODDAMN SLOW.

Unsympathetic - While this is somewhat mentioned in the above trait, Zahra's lack of sympathy does not merely stop with those who are too slow for her. She does not like excuses or bullshit when it comes to anything, and has an extremely finely tuned bullshit detector. The problem with this is that she considers almost everything bullshit, and has little sympathy for the problems that realistically make others fall behind. You were late to work because you had a flat tire? Whatever, changing a spare takes like five minutes, you could have still made it in on time. Oh, you don't have a spare and/or a jack? What a ******** idiot, way to be prepared. Unless it's something akin to “my mom died, so I can't do this” then Zahra expects you to be there and to perform your absolute best, no matter what “misfortune” happens to strike you. It's not that she's completely devoid of empathy, but Zahra lives in an adult world. You can't get your mommy to come pick you up from work early because your tummy hurts. Buck up and get over it, because you still have s**t to do that no one else is going to do. Actions, even if they're not explicitly your fault, come with consequences, and it's time you learn that through Zahra's special brand of tough love. She'll help out when she thinks it's merited, such as unavoidable natural disasters, but has little pity for those who fail because of their own shortsightedness and inability to cope and prepare.

Long-Term Goal Fail - Most people have at least one long-term goal in mind for themselves. They want to become a doctor, they want to be debt free, they want to open a cafe one day. The goal may alter itself somewhat throughout the course of its completion, but the core purpose remains the same. Zahra fails at this. Oh, it's not that she's never had them before, she certainly has, and she'll most likely have them again, but they will not come to fruition. It's why she did not attend college after graduating high school, and why the gas station position is the sixth job she's had since that graduation. The woman excels at short-term goals and tasks – her love of work and unwillingness to procrastinate guarantee it. However, long-term goals must be approached in a completely different way. Something that takes more than a day or two, or even a week, to complete frustrates Zahra, and she grows impatient with things that take so long to accomplish. She prefers exciting, quick things, and a multi-year venture just isn't that. The woman grows bored with jobs even after a few months, inevitably quitting and moving on before she can even advance in position. She likes work that pays off immediately so she can move on to the next thing, not one large goal that she has to keep working at and working at with no real payoff in the foreseeable future. Zahra lives in the now, the current and today, and actually has very little plans and visions for her future. Though is hasn't bit her in the butt too greatly yet, but it's only a matter of time until it does.


PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Hazel brown, narrowed but expressive.
Hair: Dark brown, thick, and curly. It's upper-back length, but she usually keeps it in a loose ponytail. (Ref for style and color.)
Face: Has naturally tanned, "brown" skin - think Middle Eastern complexion. Everything else is CC.
Clothes: Nothing overly girly, Zahra prefers casual clothes that allow her to move easily. Because she's always moving and working, it's inevitable that her clothes get dirty, and she doesn't really mind when it happens. Actual designs and colors are CC, as long as it conforms to those few restrictions.

This is almost entirely CC, because I know the wonderful colorists here can come up with way better designs than I ever could. Pretty much I'd just like her to have a uniform that's obviously inspired by the Ancient Egyptians. Simple jewelry, etc. Even colors are up to you, but I do prefer something that isn't overly colorful and flashy, at least for the Page uniform. If you can fit it in, a simple bird theme like in the first reference would be nice. <3

Weapon/Magic: Since Zerzura was known as "The Oasis of Little Birds," I decided to incorporate feathers into her weapon. Feathered fans!

Page - Zerzura's weapon for this stage is a simple handheld feather fan. It is a dark brown and plain, made of ostrich feathers, with a similarly plain handle. As a Page she has no powers, and the fan is largely useless for offensive purposes. She could use the handle of it as a blunt weapon in desperate cases, but she would probably have more luck attempting to tickle them to death.

Squire - The fan has sprouted an elongated handle, and now resembles an Egyptian slave fan. (I don't intend for her to be a slave, ha, but I couldn't find an actual name for the fan and Googling "egyptian slave fan" brings it up, so...) The fan itself has widened, but the feathers remain ostrich feathers, dark brown, and the handle is still relatively simple - probably wooden, but it's up to the colorist. It's basically the same fan that it was in her first stage, but now with a really long handle and a bit larger. If required, she can use the handle of the fan as a staff.

Her magic begins to show itself in this stage. Drawing from the lost oasis concept of Zerzura, she is able to wave her fan and cause a gust of air that picks up loose particles from the ground. Ideally this would be sand, but it also works with dirt, leaves, or anything light. These wind tossed particles effectively shroud whomever the power is directed toward, making them "lost" in the swirling particles. It makes them harder to find and hit and can be used for a quick getaway, but it also negatively affects the accuracy and vision of whomever it's actively being used on. It can only be used on one person at a time, ally or enemy or herself, and for a duration of 10-15 seconds.

Knight - Weapon remains a slave fan (I vote we make a new name for it), but fancied. The feathers are colorful and the handle has become golden with awesome designs. This will mostly be up to the colorist, I'm just looking for a fancy, cool version of her second stage weapon.

Her magic experiences a great boost in power at the Knight stage. While the power is the same, swirling objects caused by a gust of air, it isn't nearly as tame as it was previously. The wave of her fan now causes a burst of air that's capable of moving a larger area of sand, dirt, etc, and at higher, stinging speeds. She can essentially cause a small sandstorm, as much more sand is picked up, and it swirls so quickly that it causes a stinging sensation if the particles hit bare skin. No true damage is done, however. This cloud of swirling particles still shrouds the target from view, making them "lost" inside it. Those caught inside the vortex will be temporarily blinded, unless they have some power that allows them to open their eyes during a sandstorm (doubtful), and deafened by the swirling winds. It can be used up to three people at a time now, though how long the power lasts is determined by how many people it's directed towards. Three people is the shortest (~10 secs), while one person is the longest (~25 secs?) She can still direct it towards ally, enemy, or herself, but prefers to only do it towards enemy because of the stinging, blindness, and deaf. She will only do it towards an ally when they are in immediate and dire need of being hidden from an enemy. Because temporary blindness and deafness is totally better than death.
