Pulling on the brakes to stop the car and turn everything off, Taiki opened up the car door and got out, shutting the door and waited until the other two were out before locking it.
Walking around the car, he stood beside Seiya and also looked up at the shrines sign, just as he was about to speak, Seiya shouted Usagi's nickname and took off.
Taiki glanced at Yaten and spoke "Lets go!" then followed after Seiya. Slowing down just as he saw Seiya standing beside Haruka, Taiki stood next to his Leader and watched the distressed Usagi cry out for help, trying to get help for her friend as soon as possible.



Watching, was all he could do as Haruka already tried to stop Seiya from getting any closer, so it would be the same for him too.
Usagi would be good as an actress if only this wasn't real, her emotions were very tense and sad, crying for her friend because they both blamed themselves. Deep down Taiki felt the same, they all probably did.
Knowing Usagi wouldn't be her happy self anytime soon, it was understandable even after Hotaru healed Rei, there are always feelings that hurt from the inside which can't be healed.
Taiki glanced at Seiya for a moment, looking at him it was as if he was about to push through Haruka's arm and comfort Usagi, seeing she was sitting on the ground by herself while Rei was with Hotaru.

"Ahh--" Feeling a slight shift and lift up away from his hold, he watched how Usagi reacted to the the Three Starlight's departure. Wondering what that was all about. Watching how the leader, Fighter always appeared to willing to go beyond the call of duty to help out Usako. It did not take much from the battle front to see that something was going on between the two of them. Which made Mamoru wonder, just what all went on when he wasn't around? When he had his golden star seed taken from him by force and died. Without Usagi knowing what truly happened when he had departed to America. Did she move on? Mamoru was feeling uncertainty, as those unrueing thoughts hung in his mind. Usagi hasn't been the same since he returned. He had noticed this on more than one occasion.

It's almost as though the love they had died the day he was forcibly removed from the world. Just small things that people take for granted and overlook when being in a relationship for a long time. A change in their routine. How each person interacts with one another. How they talk. How they manage and address stressors in life and how to resolve the problems that arise. Something had changed in the time he was gone. Mamoru would never leave Usagi like that. Not with leaving to go to America. He wasn't the type of person to just dump a person he cared about and then skip town. 'I gave Usako a promise ring, a promise that one day, we will get married.' He had felt that when he presented the ring to Usagi in the airport and slid it on her ring finger, that the message was meant for them to be together forever. He thought the time was right. Mamoru believed it as he felt Usagi accept the ring and she seemed so happy.

Was that a lie? He could feel his heart breaking, with the signs that he has been noticing since his return. Was sliding the ring onto her finger a dream? What happened to the love and that unbreakable bond they had? Mamoru loves Usako. Does she not feel the same? If she cares about him the way he cares about her, then.. why is she acting so distant? So different when Seiya Kou is around?

Ever since they had met, there had always been some sort of a connection between the two. In his previous life as Prince of Earth, Endymion fell in love at first sight. His love grew for Princess Serenity, he swore to protect her and would do anything to protect her and her kingdom. Even die. To this day, he has always cared about Usagi, his love for Usagi has grown with time. He has loved her with all that he is and then some. He would die for her so that Usagi could live. In fact... the irony is that Mamoru Chiba did actually die recently, he just wasn't aware of that until he was resurrected after Galaxia was defeated.

Walking along the sidewalk with their friends, the outer senshi, Mamoru could feel the gravity of the situation. It wasn't what he felt while carrying Usagi, she weighed next to nothing. It was the gravity of reality that he was in the process of loosing Usako, if he had not already lost her.

"...Mamo-chan, I can walk from here now." Upon hearing Usagi finally speak up while he had been carrying he paused in his footsteps and glanced down. Realizing that she wanted down. Abiding her wishes, Mamoru gently placed Usako down. He didn't mind carrying her and in the past she never did stop him from doing so. Now. . .? Everything just felt off, void. Usako just was acting differently in his presence. As if his duty and services to her was required no more. He hated to think like that. Maybe he was reading too much into the negative messages she was displaying whether she realized it or not. It felt like she was dismissing him.

The moment he had set Usagi back on the ground, he felt the void of emotion radiate off her entire being. Like the opposite polar sides of magnets fighting against one another. Unable to connect. Or even try to connect. 'What did I do that has caused you to treat me this way?' Mamoru was unable to ask Usako this because she had shut down their telepathic connection with one another. It was as if the love that she had for him was non-existent.

If Usako wanted distance, he provided it for her. Not really wanting to make a scene. That just was not who he was. Mamoru was not the type of person to cause drama. He did want answers though. Now was not the time, because she had completely shut him off. Walking distantly apart from one another, Mamoru Chiba did manage to stay beside Usagi protecting her from the side of danger from the passing cars on the road. That was the very least he could do. As their group ascended the steep incline, the display of the Hikawa Shrine slowly came into view. Mamoru's line of sight shifted over to where there was an older gentleman sweeping debris along the steps of the entrance.

"...GRANPA HINO! Where's Rei-chan?" Taking note that Usagi took the chance to dart away from their small group and past the elder she had addressed. Feeling a set of eyes settle on him, Mamoru turned to see Haruka. The moment that their eyes made a connection, he already knew that the others were seeing something too. He knew that they weren't blind. Tension along his body rippled, as he did his best to relax as he moved to address the elder before them to apologize in Usako's hasty departure. Just as the two started to converse, everything stopped at the sound of Usagi screaming for help.

"REI-CHAN?!" Sheer panic could be heard echoing from what little distance there was between all that were present. A great deal of alarm settled within Mamoru and without any form of hesitation, Mamoru and Grandfather Hino both raced to where the sound of panic was emanating from.

"REI-CHAN?!"

Rei cringed as she heard Usagi scream. Any loud noise, just reverberated. A high pitch, shrilling sound echoed between Rei's ear drums as her head began to throb along with her ears as she tried to steady herself along the waters edge. The throbbing sensation made her feel dizzy as the scenery became blurry. While trying to get a handle on the throbbing ache, she knew Usagi had shouted something else but Usagi's had voice became muffled as Rei's ears felt full of fluid, as if she was submerged underwater. When the sensation began to pass, she overheard Usagi ridiculing her.

"REI-CHAN! BAKA! You did help! You helped more than anyone! Why would you even THINK SUCH A THING?! You... you helped so many people today, people come to your Shrine because they were seeking comfort and peace! They consider this Shrine the safest place to be and that's the first thing people think of when they come here! YOU AND GRANDPA... you both are what make this Shrine what it is today and you did so much that you got HURT! Hurt because YOU CARE!"

Rei just sat there, listening to Usagi yell at her. Knowing that she deserved every ounce of it. But it was not what she expected. She expected Usagi to be angry not sympathetic. Attempting to smile through her painful expression up at Usagi. "Usagi.." Rei managed to muster out. She didn't get another word out, because just at that moment, Usagi had wrapped her arms around her. Hugging her tightly, causing Rei to flinch but managed to endure the hug.

Leaning in and resting her head along Usagi's shoulder, she held Usagi closely to her. "I don't want to lose you." Upon hearing Usagi's whisper, caused more tears to stream down her cheeks as Rei turned to bury her head against Usagi's neck. Saying something in between tears that could not be understood.

"....Baka... Rei... you're my.... bestest friend and you helped so many people today! I'm not mad at you at all... I'm just...I'm just...."

Feeling Usagi shift and move away, confused Rei momentarily until she saw who was approaching them. "Hotaru." It had been sometime since she had seen any of the outer senshi. Rei's eyes looked almost like doll eyes, dull - void of any emotion. Looking not like her normal self. Feeling badly that this was the state that her friends had to see her in. "Rei-chan which of your wounds is the most painful? I will heal those first."

"My ankle and my wrist... hurt the most." Watching Hotaru quietly as the young girl's hands began to glow in a soft pink light. Rei gasped, not in pain, in fascination of Hotaru's healing abilities. Pain that had once been throbbing and stabbing along her ankle and wrist seemed to vanish almost instantly. Even the paleness of her skin started to fade and return to that of a normal color.

"How do you feel Rei-chan?" Rei sat there in awe, as she felt better. No longer in pain from the injuries she had received earlier. She was still sore, but other than that she could already tell a difference. "I feel..better, thank you Hotaru." Rei was very appreciative in having been healed.

"I hate this! I hate this! There's literally nothing we can do! that I can do! I can't stand seeing people getting hurt!"

When Hotaru moved away to let Usagi know that she was alright. That was when Rei realized Usagi was still crying and on the ground. Managing to slowly rise up to stand upright, she made her way over to where Usagi was. Kneeling down beside her, as Rei gave Usagi a comforting hug in response, "Usagi." Spoken in a gentle and loving tone. Rei had not forgotten what Usagi had said, "Rei... you're my.... bestest friend..." Holding Usagi close, "You're my bestest friend too and my hero!" Rei doesn't always say how much she cares about her friends. Deep down she hopes that her close friends realize how much they mean to her!

Hoping that Usagi would look up and see that she was doing much better thanks to Hotaru's healing powers. "Heey.... come on... lets get you up and off of the ground, shall we?" Rei smiled as she released Usagi offering out her hands for Usagi to take so that they could stand up once more.

Noticing that Usagi's attire had been torn. "I have some clothes that you can change into, Usagi." Rei started to say something else, but stopped. As she happened to notice that it wasn't just herself, Usagi and Hotaru there. Seeing the Outer Senshi, beside them was her grandfather who appeared to be less worried than before and beside him was Mamoru. Past them near Michiru and Haruka was a set of people that caused the light to sparkle and reappear in Rei's purple colored eyes. The Three Lights. "Usagi..."

Seiya watched the healing unfold from Hotaru and Rei, every now and then watching Usagi. Her frustration was displayed on her face until they were finished, Hotaru then comforted Usagi, followed by Rei who helped her to her feet.

Seeing Usagi now noticing the people around her, the stare she gave him it was as if they both had the same expression, but Seiya knew he had to keep his distance, especially while Mamoru was around her.
Not wanting to cause any conflict, Seiya watched the two girls walk off until they were gone then looked at Mamoru.
"I guess he can feel it too... what should I do?" Seiya thought anything he would say to Mamoru could be taken the wrong way and possibly upset Usagi too. Maybe it was best if Seiya also pretended, and took interest in Usagi's other friend Rei as a decoy, to keep a close eye on Usagi through other ways.

Hearing a small voice in the distance call Mamoru's name, Seiya didn't expect to see a talking cat running up to him, then proceeded to talk further to the group until she suddenly stopped and faced them.

Haruka glanced in the same direction and spoke up, addressing the cat's name. "Luna?" Haruka didn't think about The Three Light's at the time of speaking her name so publicly, then watched Luna go through a mass amount of emotions as she approached them. Haruka watched Luna interact with The Three Lights but didn't show any emotion at the time, Luna began to say she had some news when she first showed up made Haruka wonder what it was she wanted to say, that's all that went through Haruka's mind as she watched, still giving her usual stoic stare.




Seiya watched the small cat approach them, remembering that was Luna, Usagi's cat.

"That's... Odango's cat..." smiling at her as she made eye contact with him.


Her expression changed as if she were fantasizing about someone when she got to Yaten.
Seeing the cat stare in Yaten's direction, he couldn't help but smirk, then chuckle a little at Yaten's little fan. Remembering now Yaten and Luna had a special connection, Seiya waited to see how his bandmate would react while he pondered something.

"She can talk... so... why is she acting this way? Has she forgotten who we really are?" Seiya thought, but since she was more interested in Yaten, maybe Yaten would bring up that subject instead just to relieve Luna so she could freely talk.

Hotaru smiled. "I'm so glad to hear that Rei-chan." As Rei helped Usagi up and led her back to her room. Hotaru looked after them for the moment but after they entered her room she made her way back to the group waiting. "Rei-chan will be just fine now." She told the others. "She's going to get Usagi a change of clothes and then will be right back." She heard the faint sound of a jingle coming up from behind the others. "Luna!" Hotaru spoke. She saw Luna approach and the scene that went between her and Yaten.

Michiru smile. "That's wonderful news Hotaru. You did a great job your healing powers have really come a long way." She praised her. She also turned as she heard the bell from behind her. "Luna? Something must be up if she's getting here that fast." She said quietly to Haruka who was watching the scene with her usual stoic stare.

"Luna, it's okay. We remember that you can talk... though..." Yaten said, Luna sighed with relief and smiled. "I'm glad, I would have had a lot of explaining to do otherwise!" she said, rubbing the back of her tiny head then seeing Yaten get to her level, Luna wasn't going to pass up a moment when she could be even closer to him.
Jumping into his arms, she flopped herself on Yaten's shoulder and purred, rubbing the side of her head against his cheek a few times. "Whoops!" She thought to herself, getting carried away, Luna completely changed her attitude and spoke up.



"It's about Usagi-chan, I need to see her immediately. Yaten-san, can you take me to her?" Assuming he knew where she was.



Usagi listened to Rei express herself, hearing her concern.
"I already apologized and I know you said that it wasn't my fault... I.. I am worried about you Usagi."
"Me?" she pointed to herself and continued, "Says you who JUST got healed! I'm fine! Really, Rei-chan you don't need to worry!"

Hearing Rei didn't go to school either, Usagi thought to herself "So she missed school too?" biting her lower lip, she listened more to what Rei said to her.

"Usagi.. I have to know. What happened out there? I know that you may not feel up to telling me just right off the bat. Please Usagi, please... I am begging you to tell me about all of the events that happened today, no matter how insignificant it may be to recall to the details. I feel like I could have prevented you from .. from..."
Rei pleaded Usagi to tell Rei, and as much as Usagi wanted to tell her, it was best she didn't know parts of it.

"Hmmm The truth is... I really don't know how to explain it! It happened so fast and for most of it, I don't really remember. Maybe ask one of the others?"



Usagi gave a sheepish smile and then continued, trying to think back. "I remember The Starlights, then I saw Sailor Saturn, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune. Tuxedo Mask came too! It felt surreal, everyone back together again. But that's not the point, we are all safe and that's what matters most!" Smiling, Usagi thought about it a little more up until she was saved, then glanced at Rei when she told her the vision she had.



"A vision?"

A light flickered before her, like the beginning of an old projector film starting up. The images were blurry at first, as light projected through the thin film material taking on the colors of white, black and brown as if the viewing was ancient. In the white noise colored background a faint silhouette of an individual slowly began to take shape. The individual was surrounded in several long flowing, transparent veils. This person was very familiar, someone she knew a great deal. Princess Serenity. The princess's silhouetted image before her was reaching out, was she reaching out towards her? Someone else? Or perhaps she was pointing something out that Rei could not see. Rei went to speak, but found she could not. Suddenly a brilliant light from the background, erupted violently, blinding Rei. The brightness from the light enveloped Princess Serenity before her that had been reaching out, snuffing her out from existence.

Usagi listened, giving a moment before she spoke. "I'm... not really sure what to tell you, Rei-chan, I don't know what that vision means. But you see me here, and I'm okay! Everything will be okay! I didn't have my cell phone, I forgot to take that this morning! Gomen, I wasn't ignoring you!"

"You look like you haven't had anything to eat at all today. Come on, I'll make you something to eat after you change out of your uniform. I'll give you some privacy to change into which ever outfit you like, and when you are ready we can head to the kitchen."

"Thank you Rei-chan." She smiled, however even the mention of food there was no bite from Usagi. Watching Rei exit, Usagi waited a few minutes before she could be sure no one else was around and sighed, sinking to the ground and leaning herself up on the bed holding her head.



"I... can't go back out there..." she thought, putting her other free hand on her chest where her brooch would have been and scrunched the bow into her fist.
It had been about five minutes, Usagi sat in the same spot and a tap was heard as the door opened a little bit.
"Usagi-chan?" Luna's voice rang through Usagi's ears.
Not looking to see who was behind her, assuming it was just Luna, Usagi thought she could freely talk to her.
"Luna..." mumble was heard.

"Usagi-chan...I thought you were getting changed, everyone is waiting for you..." Luna glanced at Yaten then back at Usagi again, hearing Usagi open up to her a little bit.
"I... can't go out there. I can't face them right now... everything hurts... on the inside. Mamo-chan... he's.... he's..."

Luna made a 'ahem' sound to try and alarm Usagi to stop talking, but Usagi didn't acknowledge it.



"I've hurt him, Luna... but... I can't help the way I feel for some reason... there's... no connection between us, I know the reason why, and... deep down I think he does too... when I was faced with the monster... I was really scared and wished for... wished..." Taking a sharp breath in, Usagi stopped the most important piece of information and skipped that part. "I wanted to talk to her... I just..." another sigh came out as she asked, "Luna...Why... does destiny have to be so painful?"
Wiping away her tears, Usagi turned around while speaking "GomeAAH--!!" Usagi's eyes widened, doing exactly the same thing Luna did when she saw Yaten.



Covering her mouth, Usagi thought to herself "Oh no!! Was Yaten listening the whole time?!"
Usagi just stared at Yaten, frozen in that pose.
Not expecting Usagi to start telling Luna her secrets, Luna jumped off Yaten and onto the bed in front of Usagi. As much as she wanted to give her some pep talk, she knew she had an audience "Usagi-chan! Listen to me! It's going to be much easier if you come out and listen to what I have to say!"
Looking back at Luna, Usagi hesitated and gave a nod. "...Y-Yeah...I-I guess I'll have too...but..." looking back at Yaten, she remembered the last moments before passing out, right before that happened.
Usagi looked as if she wanted to say more but Luna got off the bed and spoke "Hurry up and transf--I mean change " Luna was so used to telling Usagi to transform, it rolled off her tongue so easily.

Luna walked past Yaten, hesitant to leave Usagi on her own again. Usagi sighed and turned back around, trying to switch her cheerful self back on as she thought "That... was close... I almost said it..."

"I'm glad, I would have had a lot of explaining to do otherwise!"



Yaten smiled as Luna jumped up into his arms, she's so soft and warm. Reaching up to tenderly massage Luna's shoulders as he could feel the gentle head bump against his cheek. 'All of the awww's' he thought to himself.

"It's about Usagi-chan, I need to see her immediately. Yaten-san, can you take me to her?"

Yaten blinked a few times at Luna's request, "Uuh, sure." Standing back upright, glancing towards the direction of the house. Yaten had recalled the area he had watched Usagi and Rei head towards and started to move that way as well, with Luna upon his shoulder. The closer they got, it appeared that Luna knew which door Usagi was behind. Standing out in the hallway standing before the door to the room Usagi was located in.



Listening to Luna and Usagi talk to one another, Yaten felt like this was a more private conversation and felt as though he was intruding. The moment Usagi turned around and saw that he was there in the hallway. All he could think of doing was smiling back at Usagi quietly. He didn't say anything, seeing as Usagi was shocked and probably embarrassed in seeing him there with Luna. The moment Luna appeared to be finished talking, Yaten turned around to head back in the previous direction walking beside Luna. As the two of them made their departure.

"Me? Says you who JUST got healed! I'm fine! Really, Rei-chan you don't need to worry!"

'Why am I getting the feeling that Usagi is ignoring my questions?' Rei thought to herself. Watching how Usagi was acting around her when it was just the two of them and no audience around.

"Hmmm The truth is... I really don't know how to explain it! It happened so fast and for most of it, I don't really remember. Maybe ask one of the others?

Oh Rei planned on talking to the others later. She wanted to hear from Usagi's point of view as to what happened for the day.

"I remember The Starlights, then I saw Sailor Saturn, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune. Tuxedo Mask came too! It felt surreal, everyone back together again. But that's not the point, we are all safe and that's what matters most! A vision?"

While explaining the vision to Usagi, Rei could tell that she seemed interested but also appeared quite lost. She did her best to make it simple and not sound so complex.

"I'm... not really sure what to tell you, Rei-chan, I don't know what that vision means. But you see me here, and I'm okay! Everything will be okay! I didn't have my cell phone, I forgot to take that this morning! Gomen, I wasn't ignoring you!"

Again. Usagi was acting like everything was fine. Trying to crack that shell around Usagi was going to take more than just a hammer and nail. Sighing as she could tell that Usagi wasn't budging as in to speaking freely. That Usagi was holding back. Surely there was a reason to why she was acting so... so... weird. Rei thought mentioning food would make Usagi thrilled. She always was at the mentioning the word, 'food'. There was always excitement involved, maybe some girl-ish screaming and teasing. But she got nothing, other than a 'fake it until you make it' smile from Usagi.

"Thank you Rei-chan."

Sighing to herself, as Rei closed the sliding door behind her. She felt bad that Usagi wouldn't open up to her. 'Something happened! I'm going to get to the bottom of this!' Moving down the hallway quietly to head to the kitchen, Rei noticed movement before her. It was Seiya! Watching him move away from the wall and greet her.

"Hey... it's been awhile. You look a lot better than you did when I first got here... how are you feeling?"

Rei's cheeks appeared to pink up as she saw Seiya. "Seiya!" Hoping that her voice didn't just carry and echo down the hall. Rei was happy to see Seiya, it had been a while since the last time they met. "Yea.." The pink started to fade away from her cheeks as she thought about earlier, "It's..it's been a long, trying day. One I don't want a repeat of. To answer your question, I feel completely drained of energy. I want answers as to what happened today but apparently I need to find the right time to ask questions." Rei looked sad and concerned as she glanced over her shoulder in the general direction of where she left Usagi.

Glancing back, "Speaking of, if you and the others are up to it? Could we talk? I couldn't get Usagi to say anything about the day really. She kept... avoiding my questions. Acting like everything was fine with a 'fake it until you make it smile'. Any time Usagi does that, she's hiding something." Rei was worried. "Sorry Seiya.. I.. it is really good to see you." Trying to smile more, he could tell that she was drained from all that happened on her end of the spectrum here. She really did want to know what happened to everyone else. Perhaps there was a connection between everything and no one knew it just yet?

"While Usagi is changing clothes, I was heading to the kitchen to make Usagi something to eat, care to join me?" Rei asked quietly as she looked up at Seiya. Everyone was taller than her. Even without the heels. "I was also going to make tea for everyone. And suggest since it's late that we have the ability to accommodate rooms here if anyone would like to stay the night. It's not the Ritz, but it's home."
