He watched the embers simmer before collecting at her flaming wings, a sight that would likely hold the attention of him in another situation. For now though his mind was focused on the task at hand. As they flew at what felt like incredible speeds, her flaming wings lighted up the dark cavern as they passed like a beacon at sea. Ravagers were everywhere. Their was no ceiling with them there, and the flames just illuminated more and more of them. Chase waited till the first was within arms length before firing his repeating pistol. The next would meet the same fate hopefully, and the next and next as he kept firing at the nearest ones to them. At the same time, the blood around them was thickening as he focused on increasing it. One benefit to it was with the blood on them, it could lessen impacts since any ravagers would have to hit that first. While he could use it offensively...he felt he may just need more at this stage. His only issue was ammunition, as there was no way in hell he could reload his arm as it was clasped to Yui's. The strain of which made him hope they would reach their destination swiftly, as he wasn't sure how long he could keep the grip. He did his best to grit his teeth and ignore though, as his pistol would run out for it's current clip. 'Hurry Lioncourt.' He silently requested as he focused on the ravager swarm. They were moving very quickly, but the vile beasts were everywhere. He wasn't sure how they had spread so fast, except for maybe it being the existing swarm merging with the new more frenzied one. The ravagers weren't the only worry they had though. Large tears appeared in the ceiling, releasing clouds of dust and rocks from the ceiling. Hitting ravagers and almost Yui as well, who was somehow still airborne through all of this. Her flaming wings helped to ward off ravagers from her, or so he hoped. He couldn't see above, her wings and flames being too large and bright for him too, so he just trusted and hoped it worked.
Chase would look forward, trying to gauge how close they were and how they were going to do this. They didn't really plan for how to deal with the death stalker, but they could improvise. The death stalker was in a frenzy, and seemed at risk of bringing the cavern down on their heads! He almost yelled for the Lioncourt to hurry, but knew it would not help matters. He just hoped he didn't die in vain in this desolate cave, even if his hound was safely on the other side of the tunnel. Especially when he risked his life for two of them. Then he would notice a spark from the rabbit faunus, who was thankfully conscious again...and then the death stalker began to glow with organs shining through... 'Clever.' Was all Chase could think before a giant boulder fell from the ceiling onto it, sending a wave of black dust all over. Part of him felt like cheering, the other part was worried about the rabbit faunus and anyone else on the creatures back. It was in that moment of confusion and focus a ravager slipped by and bit down onto Chase's hand, the one holding onto Yui. Growling, his eyes turned to it with hatred as he whacked it with his pistol until it let go, if not turned to dust. He was not having this minor nuisance be his end. Not now. He didn't have time for much more thought though as he saw they were about to reach the others. He quickly had the blood travel to him, and let go of Yui's hand pre-emptively. He needed to move fast and be in control. As he hit the ground, he would try to do a roll to lessen the impact, though he felt more than one sharp rock hit him along with a not so nice impact. But he had no time to worry about it. The hunter covered in covered in blood would recover and rise to his feet, with hands touching the boulder.
"Everyone, gather and get inside quickly!" He would yell, no pause of indecision or social awkwardness. His voice was entirely confident and focused, with a sense of urgency to it. His own shyness was forgotten as he looked up to the mass of Ravagers, which could be defeated potentially...if they had a lot more ammo on them, and if the ceiling wasn't falling on their heads. His pale blood red aura was fully visible as rocks bounced against it...and as blood would travel off him onto the boulder. It would begin to create a protective overhang over the entrance, using the boulder as a "wall" and would begin to form an enclosed space. Becoming a blood dome type of structure while leaving an opening for everyone to get inside, though only about one person size. For now, it would be liquid blood surrounding them...which would help to slow down the ravagers and falling debris so they could hopefully have enough time to make it through the passage. Crimson eyes would look to the Lioncourt, then back to the opening. "Cover the entrance, and make sure nothing gets in while the others retreat into here. Any grimm that get in die." He would say with a slightly strained voice, his first time in a while controlling so much blood. He would holster his pistol, and take out his sword though. While Yui agreed and would help, he wasn't going to let her do it alone. Plus his blood may stop some ravagers, but if they were persistent enough and enough numbers some would get through. And he needed to make sure not too many survived past that. He would hopefully use his sword to kill or ward off any ravagers that made it in, trying to be their target more than any other student in there. Once everyone was inside, he would close the one opening and try to escape through the tunnel with Yui. He had no intention of making a last stand here, this was just a gambit to buy time for everyone.

'It worked?! It actually worked?!' The thought crossed Ren's mind as his lightning kicked helped to stop the deathstalker as it shined brilliantly but he soon heard rubble from above and used his kick as leverage to push himself out of the way of the oncoming boulder, namely moving himself off in the direction of the slowly closing hole. He looked around and quickly found Tabby, he swiftly moved close to her and used his hands to grab her arm as he soon told her, his ears still ringing mind you. "Comeonwegottagonowgrabyourweaponandmoviesexymama!" His speech so fast that it was almost nonsensical but he was moving already to try and forcibly move her with her reacquired weapon to drag her thicc body into the slowly closing hole. The lightning dust still working it's magic to grant his legs quick and strong movements, which were already grounded by the dirt and rock he was on. As he got close to the hole, he saw a dark shade of liquid take form, his eyes not sure to tell what it was but he saw the hunter from before using his 'semblance?' to create a safe spot for them to go through. Ren nodded as he heard the man speak before he released Tabby's hand to begin crawling through the hole first. His slender shape helping him to avoid touching the blood and rocks as he crawled in swiftly after the other two that went ahead. He looked around on the outside as he rolled forward into a battle ready stance incase anymore enemies made themselves known.

Chaos!! The ravagers were just arriving in swarms, Tabitha could mostly hide in the corner still, knowing if she moved now to try and take any out, she would have been Ravager chow. The deathstalker before them had also been quite the fighter, progressing to a rage mode. Luckily it would seem for the faunus fangirl all that teamwork, aside from extra help by more teamwork, had defeated the grim. DEATH BY ROCKY ELECTRIC ZAPPY STONER. That was the title she picked in her mind to describe the fatality. The moment it had dispersed, it was a shock to see Widget escaping the suit, hightailing it out of there. From there Sky had seemed to flee as well, though Sky was the least of her shock. WAS THAT A TAIL ON WIDGET!? Tabby couldn't help but her weakness kick in, completely sidetracked again by this factor. "EEEEEEEEE!!! Widgety gidgety a fauny faunnnnnn!" Before the young fan girl could react, there was Ren to the rescue, cutting her distraction way off. "Spicy bunny bun!!! What you say!?" Ren had spoken so fast she caught barely anything out of that. The moment his hand was on her arm, she was ragged quick into a run alongside him, gripping both weapons tight. WeeeEEEEeee~!!!!!!
Taking on a flinging trip of her own practically, Tabby kept up best she was able. What of Chase and Yui!? Where they go!? All she was able to see behind them was the ravagers, swarming in a larger size than ever before. Quite the colony they had in this here caverns!!!! Twas a scary delight all at once!!! "Tabby calls you Swarm, Uffin, Wiffin, Muffin, Cooch, Talky, Spot, Wingy- Heyyyyyyyy.....*COUGH COUGH* ICKEY DUSTYNESS *COUGH* WANT TO NAME THINGS BAD DUSTY DUST *COUGH* NEED TO SPANK YOU LIKE MOMMA DOES TO TABBY!!! !!!!!! EEEK! Bad Uffin!!! No hitting leg!! Wuffin stawwwwp slashing Tabby!!!! Take that!! Take that too!!! " Trying to name as many ravager as she could, she was instead swinging a free harpooned arm, waving the closest ones away. It was working as they made it through, her vision would soon become obstructed by... RED!? DID THEY GET EATEN BY A LARGER GRIMM!? That was the assumption, until the dome cause by Chase had closed up, and she had clued in that it was his doing. SO COOOOOL.... How could she actually be cheerful when there were grim cuts one one arm and an ankle!? Stinging her they were, she was pouting, practically watering in the eyes. As the last to have made it through, she caught the tail end of two. "Owie...." Sniffling, her attention was gone for a moment or so. She had only paid attention again, once everyone else but Chase and Yui had began climbing through the rest of the tunnel, being told to go as well. After Ren had began, she too had began her climb, keeping herself best as she could to keep going, having been forced to hang onto her harpoon's by hand as she ascended with the rest, going to make it through just fine. she was prepared and armed just in case!

XXXIt was such an odd sensation, feeling the texture of blood clasp around her hand. It wasn't quite what she had expected. Though wet, it wasn't cold. It was warm as if he was taking her hand in his own without the wet veil between them. As odd as the sensation was, that wouldn't deteer her trust in the man. He was willing to trust her, so with their gazes connected, she'd nod before his face was covered from view. She trusted him. He had already saved them once, just as she had saved him. It was a mutual sense of helping one another survive, to ensure they both made it out alive, Sakura included. Perhaps an even more interesting sensation was the warm liquid traveling against her skin, creating a protective veil over her body. While she was expected her huntress garbs to be stained with blood today, she never anticipated this would be the reason. It was odd, but it was welcomed. She was putting her faith in his protection, after all, just as he was putting faith in her ability to get them to the other side. With the two ready, she'd flap her wings as the embers exploded outwards to create a consistent burst of flames. Azure flames would radiate brightly as she propelled the trio through the once darkened cave sky. Though above them she could see no ceiling, only a frenzied sea of glowing eyes as they tried to come down on them, to rip them to pieces. Fortunately, Chase was picking off the ones that approached from the front and sides, letting her steer clear of a travesty. Meanwhile, the intensity of her wings was quick to incinerate any ravagers that attempted to approach from above or behind. Though they weren't on the ground to feel it, Yui could still clearly see the cave quaking once again. Through the sea of ravagers Yui would see a cloud of dust come down on them, though her flames burning brightly through it. Now is where things got difficult, though. As rocks and pebbles of various sizes started coming down. Fortunately for them, the ravagers were taking the brunt force of it, Yui would use that advantage to begin steering more sporadically to avoid falling stones that may have done her end. Her grip would tighten around Chase's hand, her arm around Sakura. She wouldn't let her reckless flying let them slip away. "I need to go faster..." She thought, knowing that Chase was thinking somethign similar. With the threat of death staring them in the face, she knew she had to push far beyond her normal limits. It was the only way anyone was going to make it out of her. It was up to her to get them there, while it was up to Chase to protect them. Sparking again, her wings would release several bursts of flames, each one propelling them faster through the air, knowing they only had so much time. They had to make it there, they had to defeat the deathstalker, and they had to make it out of there.
Only Yui's pale blue hues would light up, both surprised and impressed by a Ren's own display against the ravager. Not only was she thrilled to see him on his feet again, but he took initiative with those boots of his in order to deal a fatal blow to the deathstalker. It wasn't just impressive, it was bloody brilliant. This was the first time that Yui ever got to truly see Ren fight for himself, and with each moment she was growing more impressed. Even though she had warmed up to him, she never gave him the credit he so clearly deserved. He was really pulling his own and more in this mission, where some others had fallen flat, including their own leader. She was proud to have been paired with him on their team, no matter the number of times they've butted heads. But in that moment of being impressed, being caught off guard by the display, the airborne huntsmen were taken by surprise by a stray ravager. Yui tried to steer out of the way, but it was too late, the ravager sunk its teeth deep into Chase's arm.
Why couldn't it have been her that got bit? Yui had to keep focused on her flight trajectory, but she wanted to help Chase with every fiber of her being as the Ravager sunk its teeth into his arm. "Just.. A little longer.. Hold on!" Yui shouted over the sound of the blazing azure inferno that erupted from her back. She couldn't stop, she couldn't redirect her flames, and both arms were occupied. All she could hope was that he could ward off the beast just a little longer. Her reassurance didn't matter, though, as the blood trickled from her hand and back to its master. While she was holding on for her life, he let go once he was free. He slipped out of her reach, just like back then, she just hoped this wouldn't be the end. "Sensui!" She did it again, but her attention was ripped away at a moment's notice as another ravager slipped by in her own distress. Rather than her, though, it went for Sakura tucked in her other arm. She wouldn't let that happen. With her now free hand, she'd pull Sakura tightly in her arms, bracing her while using herself as a shield. Claws dug into one of her arms, gashing through the under leather she wore and leaving a series of light cuts and lacerations in its frenzy. Yui would then bat it away with her left hand, striking it with her metal rings. The index ring would glow brightly, releasing the stored embers not as a weapon, but as a detonation. She could never form weapons from her rings when her semblance was active, but that didn't stop her from a detonating strike. Embers would erupt in a small burst of blue flames, turning the ravager to dust while singeing the sleeve of her jacket. What cuts were made through her leather and into her skin were now singed flesh, a powerful burning sensation that caused her to hiss. This was nothing in comparison to the agonizing sensation in her side, though. It was seer adrenaline that kept her going, that allowed her to ignore what felt like a red hot iron poker stabbed in her side, setting her aura on her fire. With the ravager at bay, pale orbs would look to get an eye on her crimson companion, only then did she realised her error as the bloodied warrior tumbled, then rose to his feet once again. Though they had similar characteristics, white hair to match, and a semblance of darker origin, he was not Sensui. His lack of wings, his crimson eyes, and his command over the nectar of the body. She was just afraid of losing someone again, she couldn't do it. Not Sakura, not Ren, and now, not Chase. He stood tall, strong, and ready to get back to it. He made it through, and now it was time for them to do their part to save everyone else.
Yui's blazing descent would begin with Sakura tucked tightly in both of her arms. She was doing her best to shield her from the heat of her own wings, as well as protect her from any other oncoming ravagers. Small pebbles would bounce against her wings and back. IT was annoying, it hurt and were sure to leave bruises, but she was keeping her eyes out to avoid anything larger. Where she can take small pebbles, larger rocks would shatter her wings, break her spine. Then again, with her wings in their blazing glory, the aura would surely protect them from any extensive damage. The azure valkyrie was initially unsure of where to land if she should aim for the cave exit, or return to Chase. What caused her to come to a conclusion was his unhindered shout. There was no hesitancy in his tone, no weakness. It demanded order, to guide the students to the only safe haven they could manage. That called her attention to him, leading her to hastily touch down near him. Still maintaining such an intense speed from their prior propulsion, her foot connected with the cracked earth as a full-on sprint. The flames would begin to dim from her wings as her speed came to a close. The blue-winged huntress would stand by Chase's side, blue hues looking up at his crimson construction. It was an impressive feat and showed that she wasn't the only one showing what they were truly capable of today. Ren with his mixed drinks, her in a blazing glory, and him securing their exit.
Though her body was hunched over in order to cover Sakura, to keep her safe, that didn't mean she was ready to move on. Chase didn't even need to ask the huntress, she was ready to fight the moment their gazes met. With a nod, the flames along her wings would rekindle. She could feel the power of the dust embedded in her skin was beginning to fade, so she had to act fast. She had to think big to ensure no opportunity was wasted. As Ren came running to the entrance, = Yui would call out and intercept. "Ren, please! Take her. Keep her safe." Yui couldn't fight with their leader in her arms, despite the impressive feats she's managed so far. If it wasn't Ren that would take her, then Yui would try to get another one of the passing students to take her. Once Sakura was safe, there was no need to hold back any longer. With her wings dulled, she'd create a saber of embers. With the blade clutched tight, she'd step forward and slash through one of them, a burst of flames erupting from its dusty carcass to incinerate another that followed. Yet, even as they fell one by one, her and chase could barely make a dent. They'd fly by, try squirming through while one or the other would execute it on the spot. More and more kept coming, though, the numbers were overwhelming against their favor. They needed to create an opening, a last gambit just as Chase was doing. ... And that's exactly what Yui would do. She'd never felt the inferno of aura rage to intensely both inside and out, and she'd put it to use. Yui stepped away from the entrance, turning to face it while keeping her back pointed skywards towards the oncoming ravagers while the last of the students came scurrying. "I'll push them back. So keep back, or keep lo- Geh!" She would flinch, wincing in pain as one of the ravagers clung to her back. It bit down on her shoulder while squealing in agony as the flames began consuming it. "Stay in front of me." Despite the blazing ravager biting down intensely on her shoulder, she did her best to keep her composure. With her hands clasped together, gripping tighter and tighter, she'd focus her aura as her weapon of embers dissolved. Hotter and hotter, the temperature around Yui would begin to rise rapidly as the flames rekindled to be brighter and brighter. Another ravager clung ontop of the other, ignited all the same while its claws would attempt to shred both the lesser ravager and her back beneath. Embers would begin drifting into the air, produced rapidly to flow between the ravagers that swarmed closer. Then, the dull blue dust crystal embedded in her side would rekindle as well, becoming a brilliant blue as the burning cracks spread across her skin. As the flames grew brighter, any onlookers would be able to see the true threat of the swarm upon them. Countless ravagers flocking over one another, all being drawn to Yui's brilliant display. But before another one could cling to her back, she was ready. Calling upon her aura, the dust crystal would crack and her wings would explode in a blazing inferno upwards and outwards in an extending wing formation. The ravagers that clung to her desperately were vaporized in an instant. The blue inferno would stretch out and around 25 feet with her at the center, the embers sparking to create a powerful torrent of flames that would reduce countless ravagers to nothing but dust. Yui could maintain these flames for several seconds, consistent output of flames for the last stretch of fuel the dust had. As the burning sensation grew more intense, the grip of her hands grew tighter. IF she wasn't careful, she might crush them within one another. One could see her tendons tightening, beads of sweat turning into steady streams from the heat. Her skin would be red, tender from such overwhelming heat that she wasn't even used to. With her teeth clutched so tightly, she'd draw blood from her lip, unintentionally biting down on it to pull away from the intensity of it all. And then just like that, they were gone. Diminished as quickly as they came, presumably leaving a gracious gap within the ravagers numbers. The dust became colorless, filling with cracks before dissolving to nothing.
The woman nearly lost her footing, letting out a loud gasp. While the pain of it all had caught up to her, she realised she forgot to breath with such a focus on her aura. Though the flames from her wings had disappeared, a few stray embers continued to float in the air. As she went to fall, she'd throw her hand out as the last lazy embers swarmed together to form a familiar spear to her aid. The hilt of it caught the ground, letting the woman keep on her feet. The world was beginning to spin, expending herself much further than she had ever anticipated. In fact it was far further than she thought she was ever capable of. Even so, though her aura was now unkindled, she was prepared to fight. Clutching the spear tightly, she'd take several staggering steps back towards the entrance of the blood formed tunnel, though looking back for any oncoming ravagers. She relied on Chase to ensure everyone was inside during her own gambit, and once that was confirmed, she'd force haste to make sure she didn't keep them waiting. She'd continue to utilize her newly formed spear to aid her steps. Though each movement hurt, it wasn't due to cuts or nicks. Only burns. From the intensity that she drew from her dust augmentation, the ravager wounds were burned over by the own intensity of their demise. She'd attempt her escape now with Chase, following the students to what she hoped was safety while her wings remained tucked tightly behind her back.

Chase's blood dome would shield several boulders and rocks that came crashing down in furry now on all that remained. Several ravagers attempting to force their way in only to be sliced or shot by Chase and Yui until all were in.
Widget was the first through the cavern door. The air was thick. The fog tasted like tar and made it hard to breathe. The cavern was like an elongated hallway of sorts. Smaller than before by quite a bit. The grey stones jutted up sharply along the sides, but the ceiling seemed a lot more stable in the area. The main issue was the thick fog coated the cavern floor making it impossible to see where one was stepping.
Everyone would make it in safely through thanks to Chase's efforts to guard the entrance. The cavern behind them swarming with ravagers and falling debris. The students would all be able to look back at the hellish scene with relief that they were now in a safer area, only a few stray ravagers making it into the cave past Chase and Yui to pester the students before a boulder crushed the entrance and sealed it with a loud crash that sent the ravagers flying against the sharp walls to explode into dust.
Widget was the first one to find the pit. The force of the boulder sealing the entrance sent a ripple through the earth. A single step was all it took and her whole weight caused her to topple over into it. The fall was a rough 15 feet or so, but fortunately the earth was soft. The others would hear the crash, but it was too late for a few. Yui would feel the earth give out from under her. Widget's fall has loosened it, and the earth started to move into the pit, sucking Yui down along with it. She would slam into Widget's legs, but fortunately by the time she hit it had a good amount of earth to lessen the impact.
The rest would be safely up above. The fog would clear slightly from the fall revealing the large pit which was only on the left side. The right side seemed stable enough to venture deeper onward, but first the fallen students needed to be rescued [Students in the pit roll 1d10, and those outside trying to help them may also roll a 1s10. You may both add 1/10th of your post count to the roll. You need a 15+ to get back up. Multiple students may help at the same time.]
Widget was partially covered in dirt and soft soil. Roots could be felt, which was odd for how deep they were underground. Widget would feel a strange object to her right. Something metallic. It was large, about half the size of widget's mecha suit that was unfortunately left in the cavern behind them. Under further investigation it would reveal itself to be a dodecahedron of sorts. No inscriptions. Not bolts. Nothing but reinforced, polished, metal. Unscathed, yet partially buried in this pit. The device would have a slight hum to it for those of good hearing. It was strangely light for is size, but not the easier thing to lift either due to its shape. [Widget and/or Yui is able to climb out with the device if she chooses, but needs a 20+ total roll].
For those who travel deeper into the cavern. You will feel a breeze followed by a slight whistling sound as the cavern hall gently turns towards the left. An even longer hallway that gains elevation. Definitely not man-made, but also not very natural looking either. These caverns are likely the result of burrowing grimm like creeps. Fortunately no sounds or signs of any such creatures could be heard.
[Summary: New hallway, much smaller, pit to the left where Yui & Widget have fallen into contains a large metallic object. The cavern hallway on the right side of the pit continues down for a short distance before curving left and gaining elevation. The halls of this cavern look like they were made by creeps or some sort of subterranean grimm. A whistling breeze can be heard further along. Help your friends before continuing along.]
Ren was a bit relaxed now that they had some chance to breathe before the rocks sealed their path back now. Yet they were just going from the frying pan straight into the oven as the rippling effect from the boulder almost threw Ren off if it wasn't for the fact he was used to shaky movement thanks to Parkour. He rebalanced himself and calmed down before he looked to see that Widget had fallen down into the pit and soon watched as his captain fell down the pit too. Ren looked panic before he suddenly remembered he had his canvas backpack that held his drinks. From the fact that nothing additional occured, he can surmise that his pack was well protected and his drinks were fine. But he knew one other problem, he was losing his buzz and with that, he pulled out one of his Beers and chugged it down to help get back his warm buzz. He wasn't close to getting drunk, but having a beer always gave his lithe body a nice buzz. Once the can was empty, he set it down quietly and looked to chase, his ears still hurting before the bunny man soon said. "I can't see colors in the dark.... I need your lantern so I can see." He told the man before moving to sitting down, opening his canvas backpack so he could look inside. If Chase agreed to it, Ren would begin shifting through his mixed drinks to find a purple wine bottle, and pull it out. "This is what we need! Gravity Eclair!" He would say in a whisper yell so Yui and Widget could hear him.

Widget was starting to see through some of the fog as it drifted, though, what stuck out more was the slight dip the fog took in front of her, swirling in a miniature ridge that spanned a sizable distance to the sides. Some sort of drop-off she guessed. She began to inch away from the edge as the others came through. Though, she kept her semblance up and suddenly, there was a loud crash. Her hyper-tuned ears rang painfully and she yelped in pain, the sudden jar to her senses throwing her off balance and into the pit before her. She hit the base hard with a yelp before something landed on her legs, hurting even more and her tail snapped into action out of reflex. She barely had the sense of mind to realize it had to be one of her companions and barely managed to tilt the tip up so that whoever landed on her wasn't stung, but, rather smacked with the chitinous bulb at the end. "Sorry! It was instinct. I didn't sting you did I?"She'd hate herself if she had and whoever it was...judging by the wings and size, likely Yui...They'd need to wait a while. Her toxin wasn't immediately deadly, but, she knew it would be a very unpleasant experience to anyone who got injected. And given their states right now, she had no clue how bad it would get. Certainly worse than if she'd stung someone who was uninjured and not fatigued. Though, at the moment, what was more concerning was she couldn't hear her own voice. Just a persistent ringing. For the moment at least, she was effectively deaf.

The others gradually funneled through and, with so many present, she relaxed some. She felt light-headed and the sudden crashing did the polar opposite of help. She was thrown off balance, though, she simply fell forward on the same elevation she'd been at. She kept her weapon in hand, but just remained laying down, not trusting her coordination right now...nor her stomach. She could see that two of their number were missing and the mist where Widget had been was disturbed. A couple of yelps told her Widget was alive at least, but, she was in no shape to assist. She did toss her pack over though, somehow, landing it near the lip without it going over near the others."I ain't gonna be much help...My head's spinnin somethin fierce. XXX For perhaps the first-moment sense this mission truly began had they actually got a moment of peace. Yui herself was trying to maintain her composure, utilizing the blazing creation that mimicked a dear companion of hers to keep herself afloat. What the woman truly needed was just a moment of rest, a moment to ground herself and breathe. Perhaps in this narrow cavern, that moment would come. .. Unlikely, though. The air was thick and disgusting, their vision obscured by its density, and just made it overall harder for anyone to catch their breath. It was likely that Yui's own weapon of kindling and light didn't make it any easier. In the back, though, it was easier to catch a glimpse of their surroundings. Though the passageway was far more narrow, the ceiling wasn't riddled with cracks and holes. The walls, however, seemed far more threatening than anything else. For the next several moments, Sakura's safety had been passed among the students in order to keep her moving. Ideally, Yui would carry their leader on her own, but until she had a moment of rest, she just couldn't handle the extra weight. That wasn't the only worry, though, as a few ravagers had managed to slip through. Yui was ready to take up her spear again, but it was unnecessary. A massive boulder came crashing down, sealing off their entrance, likely for the better. It had a powerful impact, though, enough to nearly knocking the hobbling girl off of her feet. Thanks to Lancer, however, she was able to keep her footing. Or so she thought.
First, there would be a shrill of pain from a familiar voice. It was the girl that was sensitive to light. Had something happened? Perhaps one of the ravagers? No, that wasn't it. She could even see her. Before Yui could think, let alone act, however, the earth had begun to give beneath her feet. Fortunately for her, Sakura wasn't in her care, giving her much less to worry about. The ground beneath her had given away completely, resulting in her plummeting into the pit after Widget. The blazing spear had slipped from her fingers, then would immediately turn to embers that would rush to the thumb of her left hand. She couldn't risk injuring someone in her fall. The fall would've hit her much harder if it hadn't been for her wings, opening as a parachute in order to lessen the impact. Not that it made it hurt much less, as she landed on her knees. Yui had landed on loose dirt, but there was more to it. There was a figure, there were legs, as well as a yelp of pain. Then something snapped, a shadow moving in almost absolute darkness. Yui tumbled onto her back, off the girl's legs, and threw her arms up to brace for impact. Yui's arms were protected by dense leather gloves, mimicking the effect of vambraces, which took the brunt of the blow. If it was Widget, then this could've only been that menacing tail she had. .. Which, left Yui to wonder, had her leather defenses been enough to hold off a sting, or did Widget manage to hold back from giving Yui an even worse day? Whatever it was, the tail reeled back and was replaced with genuine concern, something Yui couldn't fault her for.
Wincing slightly, the girl managed to push herself back on her knees then shook her head towards the scorpion faunus. Honestly, it was remarkable that such deadly precision was considered 'instinct.'"It's okay, I'm okay. I don't think you got me... It's hard to tell, everything... Sort of hurts." She tried to play it off, to calm Widget to ensure all was well, even if humor wasn't Yui's best forte. She didn't experience any sharp pains, nothing different from the burns she'd already suffered up until now. It was dark, but Yui could still make out a few odds and ends. Widget was in front of her, wary of her natural instinct. The two of them were in a bit. Looking upwards, the walls didn't seem too terribly high. Sure, it was far taller than either of them, even put together, but it wasn't anything her wings couldn't overcome. ... Then again, that was a way out for her. .. Just her. She could try to lift Widget with her, but after the fire show that she put on with Chase and Sakura, she didn't want to strain her wings any further. Digging her fingers into the walls of the pit, she'd grasp on any jetted rock for leverage to pull her up onto her feet. It wasn't a silent act by any means. Uncomfortable grunts strained hisses, but she was there. She made it. "We're okay, everyone. Widget and I just took a spill... If any of you have a rope, we can get Widget up safely. We'll try to find a way up, just in case." Perhaps that was her greatest rookie mistake. So reliant on her wings, that was the one piece of equipment she didn't even think to pack. A simple rope. Unless one was present in the survival kits, which surely then the students above would have the necessary supplies.
All that aside, Yui would cautiously approach Widget. Both in hesitance at her lashing out with her scorpion tail, but also in her own sluggish movements, as she was still recovering from her fall. Looking down at the girl, she found it nearly impossible to make out the finer details. She was concerned, perhaps from the fall, from nearly attacking her teammate, or something else. She'd offer a nod of encouragement before crouching down extending her a hand to help her to her feet. "Let's find a way up." If she had more light, perhaps she could make better light of the situation. But, that's another caution she was taking. Widget had light sensitivity, just as Ren had a sensitivity to sound. So, no blazing weapons, not while they were down here, just the two of them. She found it odd though, it seemed as if Widget wasn't reaching her words. While waiting for Widget, though, Yui would rest her right palm against the ground. Initially to help support herself, but even through her gloves, she could feel something different. Her palm wasn't against coarse earth, roots, a sign of life in this barren ecosystem. Curious, Yui turned her gaze and started to feel around, only to notice a shift from coarse earth and roots to something smooth, with odd edges. "What in Remnant?" She asked curiosity perked. She'd still help Widget to her feet if needed, but the huntress was ready to get to work immediately after.
The shape was obscured as if something directly from geometry class. Yui would continue to run her hands in various directions on it, feeling the different angles and edges. By pushing against it, it would move, but it wasn't enough to get it from one spot to another. Not without terribly exerting herself, and even so, she just couldn't get a proper grip on it. In one of her attempts, she brought her head closer to it, which allowed her to hear the strange hum emitting from within. Curiosity rising, she'd press her ear against it, feeling the smooth metal against her skin. "How odd... We found something. Perhaps we could use it to get up, or.. Bring it? I'm not sure if we can move it, though. .. Not easily.." Something about problem-solving always did something to Yui. Perhaps it was her need to adapt, wanting to overcome any obstacle, no matter how odd, even with this odd piece of humming metal. What could they do with it? Maybe if Widget and her put her strength together, they could get it closer to the wall. .. No. Widget was small, and Yui wasn't at her best. They couldn't manage such a feat. Then, perhaps if the others had a number of ropes, they could tie it? .. No, not with its shape, the ropes wouldn't have any leverage. ... Then... What, a Gravity Eclair? Was Ren trying to use his mixed drinks again? Wait... ".. Gravity! Ren, spectacular idea! Keep your drink, I should have some." Honestly, Yui was feeling rather ecstatic about the idea. Despite the exhaustion, the pain, they were still able to solve the issues as they came. Reaching into her pouch, her fingers would could the crystals until she drew one that emitted a soft purple. Then, with a spark of dust, she'd place it against the object before it crumbled. What was once blue aura would change to a ripple of purple aura that would envelop the object in order to give it a sense of weightlessness. "Widget, could you help me move it?" Motioning with a wave, she'd indicate towards the object before pressing her hands against it, attempting to both push, perhaps even lift it. If they could either a, get it against the wall, or b, get it floating, Yui was certain she could help Widget up onto it so that the others could pull her up. ... Then, if it was weightless, perhaps they could even retrieve the object. Was it important, though? It was perhaps the most mysterious component they've found, thus far.

Later on he could think about that though, his mind was too occupied with the present. His blood done would be formed, acting as a screened shield for ravager and rocks alike. Had he not had it up, it would've very likely led to a lot more injuries as things progressed. The first to reach him, predictably, was the Lioncourt as she was going into full overdrive. He was still confused by the name she had called him twice now, curious sedate for the moment, but sure to come up later. She at least listened to his request and would hand off the injured human girl to Yukino, his team leader when Ren wasn't able to take her. That was as much as Chase could focus for at that moment as ravagers were descending full force on them. The Lioncourt did not disappoint. Her embers would gather and form a new weapon, taking out ravager after ravager. Chase had little to worry for the main entrance, instead focusing on the ones that pushed through his blood barrier or the straggler that was unlucky enough to get past her as it would meet a swift end from his blade. But even with their progress there were still far too many, as the Lioncourt would begin to struggle to keep them at bay. When Tabby began to enter the tunnel was when the winged faunus surprised him him, ordering him to stay in front of her and saying she would push them back. Chase did not hesitate and immediately moved to be in front of her, blade ready to slash at any that got into his view. But it was unnecessary. Immediately, things began to heat up to an intensity Chase almost felt the need to try and leave but would not do so till she finished. Flames would condense and grow...then the blue light and flame came yet again, unleashes a very large flame directly into the mass of ravagers near them. 'Burnt to a crisp.' Was all Chase could think of anything caught on the other side of it, even seeing the effect it was having on the avian. Her skin was red, hands clenched tightly, tendons tight and sweat streaming down. She clearly was not immune to her own powers. As soon as her flames ended, seeing the momentary gap in ravager numbers and that all students were through, Chase would seal his blood dome behind her to slow any that may come further.
He would hear her let out a loud gasp, stumble, but catch herself as a spear materialized before Chase could do much. Already she would begin moving to their only exit, and Chase seeing everyone had made it through would join after her. If he was able, he would try to help her through in anyway he could. As he hoped his blood would be able to hold back long enough for them to make it to the other side. Thankfully, after a rather uncomfortable crawl/climb, they were able to make it to the other side. The crawl having been much calmer than Chase expected despite their haste, his blood managing to hold back almost all of the ravagers. And it gave Chase a little peace and time to think. Time to think of their odds of making it back up since they ended up further underground than expected, why the Lioncourt kept calling him Sensui, if his hound was alright, what everyone would think of him after how commanding he had been, how he had almost perished in trying to save others...far too many thoughts. Thankfully he would be pulled from the endless question by reaching the other side and being able to stand up...if he hadn't been interrupted by being pounced on by his faithful hound and subjected to a few licks. The dignified ex-noble couldn't help but smile beneath his mask and hug his hound, glad that he was safe and sound through all this. In truth, he had been worried most for his canine companion. The distraction was enough to keep him away from the Lioncourt and his questions temporarily at bay...enough that even when the ravagers slipped by and a rock fell to seal off the cavern, Chase could care little for it. Just glad he and his hound were safely reunited. That is...until his attention would be commanded by a yelp of pain and that sound of falling earth. Immediately he would let go of his hound and look towards the source, wary of there perhaps being unseen danger here. However when he looked he only saw the end of a white wing falling down and out of sight. The darkly-clad student rushed to his feet and cautiously made his way over to look past, worried that the person he saved may have perished regardless. He breathed a sigh of relief though as he looked over the edge, his night vision granted by his faunus side allowing him to see the two were still alive at the least, and that they weren't too far down. He would watch as the avian would pull herself to her feet rather noisily, before saying they were ok and needed rope for widget. Chase would only nod before he began to look through his pack as he dropped to a knee...but was interrupted by the rabbit asking for some light. Uncertain, Chase would look over the edge to Widget...before taking out the hand lantern, and angling it so the light would not spill over the edge of the pit. Leaving it just enough to provide light for the rabbit faunus. Concentrated on looking through his own pack, Chase nearly jumped in fright as a bag landed near him with a thud, and the rabbit faunus yelled about a gravity Eclair. Hell, if he had his gun he may have panic shot them. 'Focus. Don't panic. Keep calm.' He repeated in his mind, knowing panic would only make his search all the harder.
Finally, Chase would find what he had been searching for. 'Paracord, this should work.' He thought as he pulled out a long length of it from his pack, far more than what was actually needed for the situation at hand. Chase would look over the edge and toss down the rope, holding onto it with his right hand, but notice something. It seemed they were messing with something down there, as he saw a purple light flash, but he was unsure what it truly was. Either way he had a sudden thought. 'If my pack had one...' His eyes would glance to the pack the other avian had tossed towards the edge prior. His free hand would reach into her pack and dig around before finding what he was looking for. Another paracord. Taking it out he would leave it on the ground next to him, and then he would grab his hand lantern. Pointing it in the direction of Tabby, and flashing it to her a few times to signal he wanted her attention. Which if she looked, he would beckon her over. If she came, he would point to the rope besides him then down to the others. To signal that she should grab it and toss it for the others to use. While it may have been faster to just speak, Chase was tired from speaking. He had spoken much more, and much louder, than he was accustomed and his voice needed a rest. Plus, for the moment, they were not in dire circumstances where the sacrifice was necessary. And part of him was still fearful of what the others thought of him because he had spoken. Regardless of if Tabby did help or anyone else did, Chase would pull up with the rope once it was secure and the two women down there signaled that they were ready. He just hoped it would be soon. With adrenaline mostly gone he was starting to feel a bit weaker. He needed to feed on blood soon, but he felt getting them up was the greater priority. He also wanted to do it when no one would be focused on him if he could help it. 'Worry later, act now.' He scolded himself, knowing he needed to stay focused on the now. He would pre-emptively brace himself, unsure of how much weight he would be forced to carry up. If Tabby or any others used rope, they could hopefully divide the weight to make it even easier.

TEAM: NTSS WEAPON/PROFILE: Stabby, Jabby, and Tabby~! AMMO: x2 lightning dust loaded in both harpoons (one was used in Stabby) Tabby is at this place!!!!: Cavern Tabby is with this person!!!!: team friends and another team of possible new friends! Tabby is doing this!!!!: out of crawling, OOC: ////////////////////////////
What a dirty crawling experience that had certainly been! Through the crudges of the claustrophobic inducing terrain, it was all of a natural thing to have made it out for all. Seeing everyone for the most part, being alright in the passing, had been reassuring. Though the path had been safe for the most part, the feeling of being crushed by nature had been a scary thought to process without stalling. "Ooohhhhhwaahhhhhh~." A victory stretch of the arms and legs. One stretch, left leg, right leg, arms! One step, two step, three step, STRETCH That was fun... Somewhat. If only the same could have been said for others. To her delight, there had been Chase's dog, safe and sound. The slippery little ninja poochie!! Hooray for him being fine! What a touching reunion it had ended up being soon afterwards when Yui and Chase had finally made it through as well. It was enough to want to jump in on the hugging reunion between man and pooch!!!! Of course, Tabitha had held herself back from the scene. "So... So sweeeeeeet!" The scene was so touching, the young woman was crying tears of joy. This had to be part of some wholesome story about a boy reuniting with his poochie!! A blockbuster hit!! At least for what she was thinking in her head. So adorbs!!! The same could be said towards all the hard workers on their side, each of them, aside from the unconscious one or two, looking to be stable for the most part. Ooooh.... If only they were able to take a breather, catch up on their own paces, and chatter before continuing!!! They deserved the chance to get some R&R, even if it was for but a second or so. One was unfortunate from being able to stand there and watch it unfold for too long. The terrain couldn't allow them to have that kind of timing, what with the giant amount of fog surrounding and drifting about in the air. Not to mention all the hostility of nature around them smothering them under such wisps of air. Like the ground around them had been any better to be in hindsights of reality... Especially due to the next unfolding seconds. "Uwah!!!"
THE GROUND ATE WIDGET AND YUI!!!! First they were there, the second they vanished from sight!! Did the ground need a royal dose of STABBINESS!? "Taste the pooners lowly monster ground scum!!! Return Tabby's comrades!!!!" Ready to literally do just that, her one harpoon had stopped in time, just an inch from the ground, to the familiar vocals of both faunus below. Oh good! They were alright after all right!? Moving to the edge they had fallen, Tabitha could just barely see their movement below. "Yooooooo-whooooooooo....." Was she checking for a reply? There was no need in that case. The echoes from below had her merely testing the echoing for herself. "Heeheehee... The caves speak peopleness~!" Backing away, there was no too much else she could do, aside from using her weapons in some matter. Ren had come up with a much better plan it would seem, and paying her attention to him, and also Chase with his lantern, the weird drink had her curious. " Is that adult juice that will make people float!? *GASP* If you give them that, their body parts might escape their mouths! That's going to hurt somebody bunnybun!!!!!" How gracious there had been a much better plan with such an ordeal. Though with Sky dropping her backpack, going into odd intel about her head, there had been a slight worry about whether the girl had hit someone below or not. That moment had went away when Tabitha was able to see it just stop at the edge instead. That could have been a complete bad case of aiming if it had fallen!!! With no point to adding to the burden of this situation, the plan for herself had been to sit back, to avoid making anything worse. In her own bag though, she had taken the moment to pull her own paracord out, as she had never used it in the first place. About to toss it towards Chase, her head went confused by him using some kind of sign language to get her attention. Why was he not using his voice!? "Tabby don't understand!! What you need??"
Approaching, it had been clear something had to be assisted with rope. Taking her end of the rope from him, she couldn't help but make a guilty look as she had no idea what had to be done. "Does Tabby have to go down and help too? That may break the big important rope!" All this pointing was confuzzling!!!!!! Why was the boyo trying to make her play charades at a time like this!? To her it was him trying to play at least! "This not a fun game if Poochy master keeps pointing to hole!! Tabby thought you needed the help! It is not the time and... OHHHHHH!" Ohhhh, now she got it after trying to figure it out. With a carefree laughter, Chase had his assistant. "Aye-aye!!! Rope droppiness!! Tabby drop rope!! That's what Poochy master meant!! Okay!! Tabby knows Poochy master ain't spicy, so okays! Tabby will help!!" When they were fully ready, she had finally tossed the rope down, giving an extra "Hyah~!" of effort. Quickly, the young woman made stand with Chase, choosing to help pull them up, after quickly making sure her harpoons were sheathed to her belt. "Let's get pulling!!!"

Widget would have been at a complete loss if not for the movement of Yui's head as to her reply. She could see Yui looking up and her mouth moving, figuring she was calling out to the others. Already, Widget had pieced together that Yui was choosing to stay down there with her. Nice guestures, though, Widget would have been fine on her own. She was certainly used to it. It seemed that she was sarching for a way up, but, Widget couldn't see one. She has shut off her semblance after the boulder fell, but, even without it, her vision in the dark was better than most other Faunus. Soon however, Yui migrated over to the object Widget had felt earlier. She'd said nothing so far because she was wary of what others would want to do with it. When Yui spoke, Widget shook her head."I had my semblance active until the passage collapsed. My semblance enhances my senses. So, that loud crash blew out my ears. I can't hear anything you're saying."As she said that, she pulled her scroll out. No signal still, but, she brought up a note function and showed it was taking textual notes through voice recognition. She'd need to use her scroll to convert voice to text and read it for the time being. Thankfully, she had it on the dimmest setting all the time. So, while it was still bright enough to be a mild strain on her photosensitive eyes, it wasn't bad enough she needed her goggles yet.

XXX.. So no help from Widget. That was unfortunate. At least, that was her initial thought until Widget actually spoke up. It seemed like not only did she have a light sensitivity, but a sound sensitivity just like Ren. Only, unlike the rabbit faunus, this was an enhanced ability that backfired horribly. But.. Wait! If she could see in the dark, but not hear, perhaps she understood signlanguage? All that practice she had done with Kail and Dee might've paid off, assuming Widget had any grasp of it. Still having a hard time just motioning, Yui would begin to slowly move her hands while talking, translating her words to verbal motions. "I'm sorry. Do you happen to know Sign?" Her movements were a little rough, but if someone actually knew sign language, the message would get across clearly. As she motioned, though, Widget had pulled out her dimly lit scroll. Yui leaned forward to catch a glimpse at the screen, noticing the ranging audio bar before her exact statement was recorded in text. ".. I suppose that works just as well." Well, on the bright side, that meant Yui could keep using her hands for the matter at hand. Then she'd turn her attention back to the object, so obscure in shape. It had the potential to be something greater, a mystery within all this madness. Made of an odd metal with a soft humming. Yui would take a moment longer to investigate it closer, gently stroking her gloved fingers against it. She was trying to see if there was anything on it, or if it at all reacted to either her or the dust she infused into it. If it did nothing, then Yui would proceed with a course of action.
In the midst of their exchange, Yui was able to catch the conversation going on above. Well, the one-sided conversation. Tabby was quite loud, very vocal, and certainly the opposite of her teammate, Chase. In her talk of understanding the plan, two extra-long paracords were tossed down to their aid. Honestly, that had been more than perfect. With just one and their effort, they could've helped Widget get out. With two, though, now with the weightless object, they could potentially lift it and Widget out in one go. "We found something down here. I'm going to try to send it up. I'm taking precautions to ensure it isn't too heavy!"Taking one of the cords in hand, she'd turn her head back to Widget. She'd then speak while pointing to her, holding up the cord, then pointing to the object. "This seems important. I'd like to tie these around it, then have you climb on top. Thanks to the dust, they shouldn't have any issue pulling both of you up. Will you help me?" Well, whether or not Widget was willing to help unless she gave a good reason to avoid meddling with the object, she'd get to work. It was actually phenomenally easier to mess with now that it had its weight drastically reduced. She'd work her way around its edges, and hopefully, with Widget's assistance, she'd tie both cords in a perpendicular fashion around the base of the object. If Widget had a better idea of how to tie the cables, Yui was all for it. When it was ready, though, Yui was ready to offer assistance to Widget if she needed it to get up on the object. After all, she fell quite a distance, and then Yui fell onto her legs. "When you're ready, say the word. We'll signal for them to pull. I'll fly up once you're secure." Relying on Widget's voice to text to translate, she'd wait on her to give the signal for the others to hoist them up.

Widget cocked her head as Yui started speaking and gesturing with her hands. She was familiar enough to recognize it was sign language and could guess what she was asking. She shook her head."I studied sign language a bit. I figured there might be a situation where I'd go deaf for a time, but, I never really put much time into it. And technology has made it a bit obsolete. Might be useful to resort back to something more analog though. I can't guarantee I can keep my equipment all the time."She kept her eyes on the display of her scroll, reading the conversation as it progressed, including Yui's comment to the others above them and her plan. She was hesitant to move the thing. The area was unexplored, had no known route for escape, isolated, and extremely hostile. Even without all that, her instincts...and perhaps a dozen or more movies, told her trying to move the thing was a rather poor idea. Releasing a sigh, she pocketed her scroll and activated her semblance again, her eyes flashing a yellowish white in the darkness as she walked over and began looking for any signs that it might have been attached to something or was in any way significant.
"I don't really think our current situation is particularly safe to extract this. We have no knowledge of what it is or it's origin, we know nothing about the environment we're in aside from it is unknown and extremely hostile. It could be rigged to some device that would be set off if removed improperly or be such a device itself. We have no clue where we are or how we'll get back to the surface, we are unable to call for assistance, and we are in a situation where we will very likely need to fight again and again with limited resources. Frankly, there is no way you could look at this and say it's a good idea to remove it. In every possible scenario, it's a bad one. Even if it does nothing, what happens when we run out of gravity dust? We can't guarantee we could move it without the stuff. I'm one person voicing their opinion here and am not a leader so, I can't force the matter. If the rest want to move it...fine...but know the risks first and be ready to take responsibility for it."

"She doesn't trust it, but it could be proof of what could be down here! We have to hoist it up!" He told her and Widget before he looked to Chase and Tabby as he slowly got up and stood back.
