As he admired the view, the door to the Uzukages office opened and they were allowed to enter. Picking up his weapon, he followed Sachiko into the office. Unlike his sister, Osamu kept his hood up to hid his face. He felt very uneased, being in the office of a leader of a village. He wanted to keep himself hidden enough that no one might notice him. He wanted to keep hidden as he wasn't sure what would happen after they were done with the paper deliveries. After what he had done, they would have to be on the move and always stay diligent to keep ahead of the men that would surly be sent after the two Oni. He sighed silently in his head. It would be a long road ahead and he was very unasure of what their future held for them. Supposedly by doing this, his mother had told him that it would give them an advantage over their father, and Osamu silently smirked at having the upper hand to his father. Though what it was, he wasn't sure.
As Sachiko finished what she had to say, she had wanted to facepalm. Osamu actually did, but he could understand how she was feeling. They were in a very strange place, with both of them unassured of what would happen. How would the Uzukage react to the scroll that had been dilivered and what was on it. Would it be an advantage to them? Would they have to leave the village afterwards and if they did, would they be able to stay ahead of the men that most likely were on their tail. But the most dire of the question that was on Osamu's mind was, Could he protect his sister from harm. He knew that he was strong, but he doubted that he was that strong. Though he feared being caught, as it would mean certain death of him, but what he feared more, was what would happen to his sister if they were caught. He didn't want to think about it, as it would be something much worse then death. If worse came to worse, he would sacrifice himself to give Sachiko a chance to live free.

San raised a brow as the Oni girl stumbled over her words. It wasn't often that someone was left speechless in front of presence. It was actually rather annoying but beyond the raising of her eyebrow San's face was blank. A mask that hid her emotions. Something which she'd been forced to acquire over the past five years. Finally the girl was able to get out what she needed to say. Bills... was this really worth her attention? What was the point of having finance office if people were going to just bring the bills to her directly? Her one eye blinked as the girl seemed to almost run away after depositing the scrolls. However to her surprise the girl didn't leave and her guardian? slapped himself in the face. A strange pair to say the least. Finally the true reason for why the pair had come to her directly. Since it was supposedly so urgent, San was quick to break the seal by using her finger nail like a knife. Her one eye quickly skimmed the contents until she found the important detail. "So long as you become shinobi of this village I will grant the request that you be allowed to remain here." The offer was not a kind one, but a practical one. Training would help them protect their selves and fighting alongside those of the village would help to create bonds which would tie them down. In the end they would receive a new home and she would secure their potential strength for the village. Shrewd but necessary with war on the horizon. ""

tab Even looking away Lahlil could see out of the corner of her eye the attention of Sonyo on her. The prickles began to run up her arm and she could feel her face flush. Why am I like this? It's not like I have any real reason to be nervous here. Even though the words echoed with truth in her mind the anxiety she felt refused to lessen. This was of course all worsened by the fact that more people began entering behind her as evident by Sonyo exclamations. Keeping straight backed and facing forward Lahlil finally mustered up the willpower to respond to the secretary. "Lahlil. My name is Lahlil Nevarra. I was.. apart of Suna." The squeakiest of coughs escaped from her lips. "I came here in hopes of perhaps being assigned a mission? I want to do whatever I can to make myself useful here.." Though small in voice and stature Lahlil stood with every bit of grace and fake confidence she could muster, even despite her momentary comfortableness. If this was to be her new home then she would do everything she could to be of use. To someone, anyone.
Sachiko let out a sigh of relief. Though she hadn't read the scroll, she had been filled in more on the details then her brother had. Before they had set out on the run, her mother had told her the details of what they needed to do. They were to seek sanctuary inside of one of the newer villages, mostly in uzushiogakure, as the there was stronger ties to that village, but if thing had turned bad here they would then have went to Arashigakure, to seek protection. Luckily they wouldn't have to go there now, as Sachiko had worried that they would gave been caught on the road between the villages.
With most of her worries settled for now, Sachiko confidents grew. Speaking again to the Uzukage, she would would make a demand. I thank you for accepting the contract, of allowing me and my brother to seek sacutary inside of your village, Lady Uzukage. Though I am greatful for you accepting us, I must ask of you to consider one of the conditions of our stay to consider both me and my brother for the rank of a genin in your village. Both of use have been versed in shinobi history and possess the same strength level of what you would consider a genin. We also seek a residence, but most of that is prepared already. Reaching behind her, into her bag, she pulled out a sheet of paper. On it was the deed for a small apartment, in the industrial quater of Uzushiogakure. The land had been purchased a while back for use in converting into warehouses but Sachiko's mother had managed to swipe the purchase for keeping it as a recidence. It appeared that it had been planned for a while pf what the two would do, as most of the deed was filled out but all that was required was for the Uzukages seal for the deed to be considered authentic. All that we require is your seal on the deed to confirm that the residence is approved, and we will be on our way.

"Wait... What?" Osamu would exclaim upon hearing that they would stay in the village. He hadn't been able to read the scroll and didn't know that his mother had been planning on having them seek sanctuary inside of the village. May thought quickly ran through his mind. He was completely against staying in the village, as the enemies that were following them would defiantly know were they where and would soon be on their way to the village to question anyone about their whereabouts. They would come and they would find both Osamu and Sachiko inside the village, and then they would attack.
But then, he began to think even clearer. It was impossible to continue running. Sooner or later, their enemies would track them down and attack them. It was impossible to always be on the run, and maybe it would be safer in this village, as if they were apart of the village, the village would protect them. But the question now was, would it be enough to protect the two? Osamu knew of the growing tensions that was happening between the two recent villages of the lands and war was brewing. He wasn't sure if he wanted to get himself pulled into that but with one look at his sister he saw his choice.
Though she was now standing strong in front of the Kage, he could see the tiredness on her. They had traveled long and hard to make it to the village and he could see how weary his sister was from the ordeal. Listening to her now, he raised an eyebrow at what she was saying. Though she was a small thing, she had quite the bark to be facing the Uzukage with the demand for having them both be granted the rank of Genin.
Then, as she pulled out the deed that she had hidden in her pack, it hit him on how much had been actually been planned for them. Taking a look over his sister head, he read the deed. His mother had indeed been planning for this occasion for a while, as the property had been purchased as the village had been founded, but never finalized until now. He questioned how long his mother had been making these plan. How long had she known that things would in the end turn sour with his father and they would have to go on the run, only to find sanctuary in this land. It made his very uncomfortable, thinking on the matter but here they were and here they would stay, until it was, that they found themselves no longer safe in the village, but with war, that was a question Osamu didn't want to ask.

"I mean, I know I let everyone think I was dead, but I don't think San will give a s**t. I mean, Kya didn't.Kya not boss.Neither is San, though."That made Kaoru stop and tilt her head as Kanzaki held the building's door open for her. Was he serious? She was the Kage for real for real of an entirely new village, and as the VORTEX so lovingly informed him, he was still a ninja here. He wasn't dead, and he wasn't a rogue. The doggo shook her head and went inside, sniffing around the floors and halls for Sanae who she still remembered. Kanzaki just followed behind, not minding the back tacks and whatnot. He wasn't looking forward to asking for something to do, or more time to go out and do it.
Their adventure in scent brought them to yet another lobby, with that damnable secretary NPC, and room full with more people than I cared to tag. Kanzaki clapped his hands and silently hooray'd. The man had time to smoke."You hold down the fort, pupper, and gimme a bork when she's ready for us. Imma go smoke. Good girl.Best girl."I know it. Make sure they do."Kaoru the Shiba Inu sneezed and headed over to the secretary, lifting herself up on the edge of the desk's corner with her paws, waiting to be acknowledged but still letting the others finish their business. She was short, so it was either this or go bounce into their lap.
Kanzaki found a balcony outside overlooking the village and lit up, leaning his forearms on a railing, taking some of the weight of his weapons off his back, thinking about asking when it'd be legal to travel to the lands of the Dog Sages again, or if he could convince San to take a break for a few minutes so he could have some one to smoke with. Not like he was gonna make Kaoru do it.

The secretary didn't seem to mind Lahlil's nervousness or at least it didn't show. He simply continued to smile kindly and wait patiently for her response. If it were possible, his smile grew ever so slightly when she stated her desire to make herself useful. Perhaps that was because it was a sentiment which befit the will of Nagakabouros. The clacking of keys from his side of the desk would indicate that he was more than likely looking up her record on his computer. After a moment's pause to read whatever he had sought, he reached under his desk for something. A small scroll which was light green in it's outer coloring with a red diamond containing the letter C in black was placed in front of Lahlil. "That scroll contains all you need to know, when you complete the mission please return here ms. Nevarra."

San didn't really have a problem with the girl's request though it was foolish to leave someone untested. However she also didn't see it as too pressing of an issue. "You both will hold the rank of genin for now. I will give you two weeks time to train within our facilities before the two of you will spar before an instructor to verify your ability. Assuming you pass, you'll remain genin." A simple enough test, it would give them some time to grow as shinobi in their own directions and a spar would prove they were capable enough of being genin... or it wouldn't. Either way it wouldn't bother her particularly. As for the deed, a single finger was touched to the paper and with a small application of chakra an intricate mark was formed using fuuinjutsu. The mark served as her signature and was recognized throughout the village. "If there's nothing else, I'd get to it." ""

War was on the brink and they would be dragged into it surly. trying to not think of the future, Sachiko would exit the doors to see that more people had arrived. Kyomei's cold shoulder sent Sonyo's heart sinking, was the smol girl still angry at her? Even after all this time? She had tried to get back in to Kyomei's good graces... but leaving everyone immediately after the war probably didn't help anything. Sonyo watched the white haired girl for a moment, sadness and yearning in her eyes before letting out a sigh and turning back to Sadayo. "You two..." Sonyo crossed her arms, frowning softly, her tone much like that of a mother scolding. "I know it's hard to come to terms with, but Suna is gone now. We need to behave, this isn't the same as our old home, we can't do these hijinks now. This is a different time, a different level of awareness. Stuff we used to get away with before won't fly over here. In Sunagakure we thought we were invincible, that we were safe, that the UHV couldn't get to us. The world saw what happened because of that thinking, and now everyone's on high alert. Please be more mindful." Sonyo glaced in Kyomei's direction, showing that the small speech was more for her and not Sadayo.
Sonyo let out a soft breath through her nose, then looked back at the brown haired puppeteer in front of her, her frown turning in to a soft smile. "There's no need to apologize about not greeting me. Kya is... something else. I was expecting she'd probably get to me first." Sonyo reached out, resting a hand softly on Sadayo's head. The young woman dropepd her hand back to her side, however, as the two Oni from before made their way out of the Uzukage's office. Gesturing 'C'mon' with a movement of her head, Sonyo made her way in to the office.
The Jinchuriki stopped in front of Sanae's desk, bowing respectfully. "I know it's been a few years, but it's nice to finally meet you Sanae-sama. I'm sorry for my delay." Sonyo straightened back up, offering a soft smile to the fire-haired female in front of her. "Kya used to speak of you a lot when we'd talk. I'm Sonyo Rue, here to talk about potential arrangements for me to seek alliance with Uzushiogakure as a wanderer of Evergreen."

tab The breaks of a smile cracked across Lahlil's face. Reaching out tentatively she snatched it from the secretary and overlooked it's crumbled contents between her two tiny hands. The moment she finished Lahlil looked right up at the man whom she had been speaking with, even going so far to make eye contact with him, something she normally would never do. A newfound strength swelled within her now that her path was clearly defined before her. Standing straight backed with the small scrapes of pride within her Lahlil brought her hand to her forehead in a salute. Not another word fell from her lips as she scudded out of the tower of offices towards her destination. Curiously she wondered, if she were to do a good enough job could she possibly even receive.. praise of all things? The thought made her quiver with.. was that excitement she felt? A spring in her step Lahlil bounded right out the door.
From the corner of her eye Sadayo had saw Kyomei shift. By the time the girl turned her head to check on Kyomei, the despondent youth had curled and turned away. Sadayo focused on the floor space between Sonyo and Kyomei and doing so allowed her head to slightly turn again too. Her seat was becoming uncomfortable again and more so as Sonyo insisted on scolding where Sadayo wouldn't. Where she couldn't scold because Sadayo's own grief was attempting to resurface some as unease along side Sonyo's words. The puppeteer, in all her pride, was pressing herself to not show her reply. It wasn't under after Sonyo gestured them to follow Sadayo turned her head forward, shook her head, and whispered shuffled syllables cut off as she stood. She wanted to share with Sonyo then and there at Kyomei wasn't there, in hidden sand, then but the time was shot.
Sadayo stood up. The inabilty to be comfortable in her seat became the itching need to fiddle with the lining of her split orange dress before she'd have to surpress the sensation. Her voice sounded unruffled, calm, and underlined with a delicate plea as the shakujo tinkled with movement. "Kyomei, we gotta' go. This way. "
The staff was carried alongside her as Sadayo traced Sonyo's steps into the office. Inside, the jounin remained behind and stepped to the side of Sonyo. The blank look on her face was hardened again, like before. She didn't speak (because it was rude to speak over someone else) nor was Sadayo's bow as low as Sonyo's but certainly as long to not stir discourteous flavors in this meeting. Four years ago, the most communication Sadayo had with this village's celebrated luminary was indirect, actually, and through some other village official to be documented and have recorded Sadayo's prior disinterest in enlisting straight off the boat.
Upon ending her bow, Sadayo stood straight and occasionally eye-balled either the back of Sonyo's head, the front of the Uzukage's desk, or the door for the remaining Anbu with Kyomei. The puppeteer didn't want to create unnecessary, prolonged, eye-contact if she didn't have to yet.

Begrudgingly, she had little desire to move if at all but had no choice in the matter, if she resisted she'd likely be left with masked men breathing down her tiny neck. Maybe that was for the better. She was just proving to be more trouble than she believed she was worth to Sadayo and it seemed now even to Sonyo. Kyomei didn't know what Sonyo was going on about but apparently Sunagakure was defeated, so that said, there a certainty that the sands were indefinitely gone and or now being occupied. "What good are your demons if they can't even prove useful." bitterly mumbled only to where Sadayo may have caught a very slight hearing of it. Like the staunch defenders they were Sadayo wouldn't need any worry of eye contact as the face was affixed not on her but the smol child. Still bearing the five element seal on her person, though it was apparent that she could maybe remove it herself she neither saw a reason or was inspired enough to. Not to mention that fact the elements sealed were completely irrelevant to someone as inept at ninjutsu like her.

San eyed the incoming ninja with a contemplative look upon her face. Their escort by a V-nin was troubling in a way as they didn't usually perform simple escort duties. One from the group was at least polite, introducing herself with a bow and a greeting while another bowed in a way that wasn't as respectful but still noted for doing so. Sonyo, it was a familiar name as San never forgot something Kya mentioned to her. As for her reason for coming before San, it was one which perplexed San deeply. However any reply would be postponed as the V-nin approached San's side and began to whisper into her ear. No doubt conveying some of the information about the incident at the academy. San turned her head and whispered back, the ninja nodded before vanishing in a puff of smoke.
"Kya has spoken about you as well Sonyo..." out of politeness San left out how it was mostly about the woman's needs. Despite her position of authority within the village this was still a time to be diplomatic. "What are your terms?" The question was blunt and too the point. San was not one to play around when discussing matters pertaining to her upcoming war. Sonyo was considering some form of allegiance though it was still bitterly annoying that she chose to remain an outsider. ""

The man was walking in a sort of trance like state. It seemed as if his ambition, drive, and passion were all taken from him. He had no purpose or sense of direction. Almost as if his soul were taken from him. Then within a moment it was like he had woken up from a long sleep. His full consciousness returned to him and now he suddenly knew what he had to do. All that time wasted with whatever was wrong with him. Saiko wasn't going to question it much but, would hope that it wouldn't happen again. The man knew though that he had to be quick in case that it did happen again. There was no time to waste. Luckily enough, Saiko found himself directly outside of the Uzukage's office. Without a thought, the man walked into the building and headed towards the Uzukage's office. The man would find that the office would be occupied by another shinobi of who he did not know since he wouldn't dare go inside the office when the Uzukage was busy. Instead, he made the receptionist aware that he would like to speak with the Uzukage then promptly took a seat. Everything felt sore but, perhaps it was from disuse.
