Super Sailor Sinope

While Sinope had some sympathy for Taran, he immediately began to lose whatever respect for or interest he might have had in the man once he started talking about self-righteous things like having spent his life protecting this quadrant and all those within it. Perhaps his brain was addled by how long he'd been down there alone with no one else to talk to, though, so the Senshi of Slyness chose to let it go. The comment about stopping 'evil' no matter what form it took being Taran's purpose in life and all lives just earned a huge eye roll from Sinope, however. What a load of garbage.

Wait, she could import stuff? If she could have imported stuff, she must have been able to export stuff, too; perhaps even Dark Mirror Senshi. Not like she would have told them if she'd already had this much to keep from them anyway, though. It was beginning to exasperate him. Especially once Taran said that the queen was the source of their curse. Really? Really?! Of course. Why wouldn't it have been? Sinope wanted to go over and beat his head against one of the glowing rune walls.

"Hey...do you know anything about these?" he asked, bringing out his white crystal that Altea had previously tasted before. At least this way he might have been able to change the subject of just how badly they'd been taken in and he could attempt to learn some useful information to get back at the queen in the meantime. "Your ex said she'd never seen anything like them before and didn't seem to like them very much. She also said they're not from this world and called them disgusting. We don't know what they do, but I dunno...maybe we can fight crystals with crystals." He sneered in spite of their situation. "If nothing else, maybe we can gross her out and repulse her into submission with them."

Eternal Sailor Avior

"Of all the things she is then... Simply a host for something dubious... If it comes down to killing her, if she cannot be saved, then we do what she must. As with all things that exist, as you said, if there's anything left of her, her starseed will return to he cauldron and perhaps come back as someone deserving of mercy. As she is now... We will do what we have to, as our hands are forced." There was a bit of unusual resolve in Avior's words. He never was the most certain or the calmest of people at times, but if his hands must get bloodied to help those here and those out there, back on Earth, there would be no hesitation. Not any more.

"Enough hesitations. The time to act is now. Let us go, because either way, whether he lies, or holds back the truth from us, evidence shows we don't have time, and we just cannot risk Altea reaching our home. Killing her may very well be our way to saving our own lives and potentially the lives of our comrades and loved ones back home." His eyes briefly went to Crocus, giving him a nod, before stepping further forward, away from the others he wanted to protect.

Seeing that Diadem was working to free him, he smiled at her, no longer truly seeing the man as a threat. If he had to be killed as well, then he would step in to do so, as would many others around him. With a nod, he came up beside her, his hands grasping on to the chains with more force than the other senshi could, and give them a hard yank as well.

"After we free you, what's next? Where to go from here? You said you had a plan, correct?

As others worked to free the man from his bonds, Acubens called her magic to her lips once more. Once he was freed... if he was freed, there was still a very real danger of him still being a threat. Those who were working to free him now with few exceptions had been the ones who had been quick to give Altea valuable information that she was now using to try and take the earth. She didn't exactly trust their judgement. But instead of saying anything and causing another unnecessary fight, Acubens took hold of hers and waited. If... when... if... this man came out guns blazing Acubens would have to act fast. She couldn't use Endow... the attack would cut everyone up, not just Taran. She would have to use Agility and slam him back into the wall, buy the rest some time.

She held on tight to Kiuchi and those more foolhardy than her put their trust blindly, once again, in the hands of a stranger.

"I would advise caution," she muttered to those within her ear shot. "For all we know he's feeding us lies and Altea is the good guy. Or they're both in this together and he is but bait. If he was so dangerous... such a formidable threat... wouldn't Altea have used any weapon at her disposal to kill him? And why no guards? This crystal bastards are everywhere... but not here where they would be actually useful. I smell a trap, guys. Call your magic, wait, and hope that you don't have to use it."

When he mentioned Chaos, Acubens' breath hitched in her throat. Altea hadn't used the word before... the plague had just been some sort of ambiguous... thing... she'd heard something in passing lifetimes ago, when she still wore white, of homeworlds being overtaken by chaos... was that what was happening now? Had they stumbled upon a homeworld? She'd entertained the possibility before but now... it seemed even more plausible. She went to war with herself, wanting to help this man who seemed genuine, but not wanting to hang those he loved with the rope that Taran might have been holding out for them. Silence, she decided, was her best bet. However, she did manage to caution those around her with a cautious, "Careful," to be interpretted however they wanted. Be careful of the crystals. Be careful what you tell him. Be careful as you free him. Be careful of him. Be. Careful. They had all been careless enough.

Basic Senshi Mithra

Mithra was still a bit peeved at this, but her attention turned as Acubens went up to her and talked, which helped her to calm down a bit. It was hard not to feel angry when you knew that others shared the same ideas. She nodded to the other though, agreeing that they shouldn't be telling this guy anything, not yet at least. "Yes... you're right. We have no reason to trust this man either, though I like him a bit better than Altea. Better than the fake emotions she seemed to be showing at least." Ugh, peppy, cheerful people always got on Mithra's nerves, to the point where she thought she had at least somewhat of a grasp when people were being genuine or not when it came to cheery-ness.

She nodded again to Acubens and gladly took the notebook, furiously writing down everything that she had seen and some of her current feelings. Perhaps if something like this were to ever happen again, it would teach people how to keep their mouths shut. "That's a good idea. Even though there was nothing we could have done to prevent this, we at least need to have a history of it, and hopefully we'll all learn from it."

She listened to the others, slightly annoyed at Remarque, but she wasn't too mad at him, he was just trying to keep everyone calm. Hopefully later he would be teaching some of the others a thing or two about babbling information. She heard Acubens muttering about not trusting this man and Mithra felt the same. Even if Mithra liked this guy better than Altea, they had no reason yet to trust him. "Even if we can't trust him... I don't know if we'll actually be able to move on if we don't free him. He, most likely if he's telling the truth, would be able to guide us around the castle and perhaps we could get to the more... forbidden parts of it." She said, wondering aloud a bit. Louder she said, "I'm not sure if it will help, but I could try using my magic on the chains, or at least I punch things pretty well with my magic." She smirked a bit. "Though... I would only be trying it on one right now." After all, if he were trying to trick them, then if he was still a bit shackled, it would be easier on them. "I believe we should help him, but let's keep an eye on him shall we?"

Eternal Sailor Leto

Leto spent more time being overbearing and protective than exploring, which... Probably didn't do anyone any good, but that's what she resolved to do. And quite frankly, she probably would have done a better job of it if she wasn't completely run down. The only reason she was even able to be a part of the group that explored the mystery door of mysteries was because Tantalus and all of his logic convinced her to eat the crystals.

And now she stood next to Tantalus, unsteady on her feet both from exhaustion and the crystal that had formed up her left shin and over her knee, beginning to trickle up onto her thigh. Tired eyes glanced down at his hand that pressed into his forearm, already aware of the crystallization from their game of 'show me yours and I'll show you mine' a few days before.

When the stranger that was chained to the wall explained who he was and why he was there- Leto all but screamed. She threw her hands up in the air exasperated and let out an overly exaggerated huff. "Of ******** course that b***h is some psycho that's going to try and kidnap us all and turn us to stone and take over the god damn world. Of. ********. Course."

Her temper flared and she was at her wit's end, her voice rose, "I've had enough. I'm gonna find and kill her. I'm not gonna stand around and be turned into a crystal ******** slave. This is ridiculous, it shouldn't have taken some guy chained to a wall for us to realize that something had to be done. Time for Queeny to go and for this whole ******** place to be burned to the god damn ground."

[Leto is open for interaction and is basically yelling and ready to start a riot]

Sailor Kiuchi

At least it seemed Crocus and Acubens agreed with him about this - they had to handle the Queen. Maybe Acubens felt they were safe on Earth, because the Negaverse hadn't beaten them yet or anything. But they didn't have crystals which took over people and made them into servants, right? It seemed however that this might just be worse than the Negaverse, though he could easily be wrong. He still didn't like the idea of having this Queen, if she really was what the purple haired man said she was, left to live as she would be a danger looming in the background especially when she could pluck them from mirrorspace so easily.

Listening, as he was good at doing, Kiuchi spoke up softly. "If you were married...and she wasn't always like this. When did she change....did something happen?" Had there been a cause for it? If they knew that could it be fixed and the Queen not need to die and she could fix them? It would be a preferable method as he didn't want to kill someone, but he didn't like the idea of leaving a threat alive either. The idea of such a threat looking, even so far off, in the background was nerve wracking for the dark haired male.

"I don't like the idea of having to kill someone...but if we leave here....cured or not we can't leave her as she is...not is she is a threat..." And as much as he had liked, and trusted her, she was apparently a threat to them and possibly Earth. Moving forward, pulling away from Acubens hold on him, Kiuchi went to try and tug at one of the chains. he wasn't strong, he knew it, but he might as well try - right? He was stronger when he was powered up and maybe that would be enough? He went for a chain the others hadn't tried, figuring if they had failed he would as well. "I'll be careful....but he might be able to help us." The words were spoken over his shoulder, dark eyes finding Acubens. "If it is a trap, and they are both in this against us, we have a potential hostage....right?" He didn't like thinking of a person like that, he didn't like thinking in such a way at all. This wasn't like him and yet he was thinking like this because he had no choice, not really anyway, given the situation they were all in.

Turning back to the male he tilted his head a bit. "Illusions? What is an illusion here and can we break them?" Wondering if somehow that would play a part in them escaping, and it might depending on what they saw vs what was the reality. There was alot to think about and he really felt a bit overwhelmed as he tugged more at the chain he'd grasped hold of.

"So we can't destroy her power...but we can destroy her...she's already sort of dead, from what your saying, so if we finish her we end our curse and yours." And anyone else? Would her servants be free as well or would they die? Was there a point of no return? If so would they die or remain as they were...alone here till they died? "Her power...it sounds like it'll leech onto someone else - eventually...and continue this on...but just elsewhere." but they couldn't destroy it....how to avoid it though? To not become the next puppet.

Sailor Crocus

Okay, so maybe outright killing the Queen could be a bit much. Diadem had a point there, he couldn't even stand to gather too much energy from a single person. It kept him out longer at night, but at least he didn't harm anyone too bad. Could she really be saved though? Did any of them have that sort of power? Was it possible to reason with her? It's possible others had tried that route before and failed, thus becoming her servants in this castle. Taran didn't seem to think there was an alternative though, but just how strong was the Queen? He had to trust that together, they could seriously take her down.

There were plenty of others things that were said that he didn't understand, so he didn't have much else to say after that. Some people were very on board with killing the Queen, he glanced toward Leto after her outburst. Well, he'd give her this much. She definitely has the guts to take on Queeny, and was one of the most powerful members of their court. Plus, they had the advantage of the Queen not knowing they had their own Royalty of sorts.

He caught the nod Avior sent his way, and managed a weak smile in response. Were they doing the right thing, trusting Taran? He didn't have his weapon with him, but maybe he could still prove quite valuable if they had to take their fight to the Queen. Crocus didn't really have the strength or magic to deal with those chains, so he let others deal with them for now. They seemed to give in quite easily to Diadem. The chains weren't their main problem though, the crystals were.

Remarque also didn't seem to have the answer for them either. For now, Crocus decided to stand out of the way and just observe. He listened to what others had to say. Either way, they were going to be looking for a fight after this. Whether they had Taran with them or not.

Sailor Sadalsuud

Remarque's words made Sadalsuud feel a little better, as did those from the purple-haired senshi with the pretty, prismatic heels (Diadem) - because whilst Rem talked about stopping the Queen - neither of them seemed to be advocating for killing her–

Or as the purple-haired senshi had put it - the 'Murder train.'

Because she very much didn't want to be part of any murder train either.

She shook her head when Taran asked her about weapons, because she wouldn't have had a clue for what to look for and didn't have them at any rate.

Both the purple-haired senshi and Avior seemed to be trying to do something with the chain, but Sadalsuud didn't join them.

There already seemed to be quite a few people over by there and she didn't want to add to that - didn't want to get underfoot.

Instead Sadalsuud found herself trying to see if she could take a closer look at some of the glowing blue runes as she listened to Taran answer some of the other questions that others were asking.

She was going to follow Mr Prince's lead in this she decided as she glanced momentarily in Remarque's direction before turning her attention back to the runes - or at least trying to.

Kibirev did not like this man. She figured that he was obviously locked up for a reason, and that Altea was not, in any way, the bad guy in this situation. She couldn’t be. She was perfect and wonderful and fantastic and kind…and all of these people just didn’t realize that.

Her hands were clenched into fists and they were trembling more than she cared to admit, and when all of the words and voices kept jumbling together, the senshi stamped her foot in impatience. “How can you all just believe that? He’s locked up. Clearly Queen Altea didn’t want him to be out and around, what if all of this is his fault and not hers? What if he’s dangerous? How can you all turn on her so quickly?”

Well. Perhaps she shouldn't have been surprised...they hadn't really ever liked her to begin with.

She looked around, her lower lip trembling. “She’s been so nice to us, and she can’t be a bad guy…she’s a queen and she’s so fantastic…I think we should just leave this guy where he is and go as her for help! She clearly likes us, doesn’t she?” She liked Kibirev, at any rate…the girl was sure that Altea liked her…

She had given her a dress. Clearly that meant that they were friends.

The chains around Taran began to weaken and, the more the Senshi pulled on them, the more it became apparent that they were getting somewhere. With loud, metallic popping noises, they fell from the wall.

Taran seemed grateful and offered words of thanks; answers were on his lips, but before he could reply, the runes on the walls flared to life, only briefly. Sadalsuud might notice that they looked like Solamnian text; they didn’t quite resemble any of the words but the symbols on the walled shared a distinct stylistic similarity. The Runes seemed like more than just paintings on the wall; they seemed like they were literally shards of glass framed in the wall.

The sudden bright, blue light was enough to illuminate Altea’s horrified face behind the group.

The assumption that the runes served as some sort of warning system was correct; entering the room had triggered a trail of runes across the castle. She had seen the warning—and she had hastened to the dungeon.

Altea hoped it was a mistake, but as she approached it became abundantly clear that she was not so fortunate.

Her smile faded, replaced with a dark, angry expression.

You,” she seethed, eyes burning with cold hatred at the man on the ground. Immediately, her eyes skimmed the crowd before her. “Don’t tell me you’re listening to him. This man, seeks to destroy me, to destroy my way of life. My world.”

“I do!” Taran conceded, once more trying to pull free from his crystal bonds now that the chains weren’t binding him to the wall. The chains may have yielded, but the crystals didn’t. “And I will! Or someone will, at least! You can’t get away with this forever! Someone will stop you!”

“He admits it!” Altea said, gesturing towards the man. “Leave him be, before he poisons your mind.”

“Like you’ve poisoned their bodies?”

The Queen sneered. “You came to destroy me. To destroy this world. Why should they trust you?”

Taran was livid; he knew how hopeless it was to struggle and yet, the Queen’s mere presence was enough to rile him up again. “The sheer existence of this world is based on destruction. You destroy everything you touch, for this stupid, hollow, illusion! Your world is dead! Your people are dead! There is nothing here but you and your monsters!”

Altea’s eyes were wide but her lips were pursed tightly. She was rigid, trembling with a cold fury. “Out,” she demanded, looking at the Senshi with wild eyes. “Out, all of you. I gave you free reign of my castle, but you should not have come down here. This usurper, this betrayer can do nothing for you. We can talk later, but for now it is in your best interest to go.”

She had not missed how easily the group seemed to be swayed by Taran, though she had not missed Kibirev’s defense of her. However touched she might have been, it wasn’t enough to soothe her anger.

“She’ll kill me,” Taran snapped warningly; it was barely an assumption. There was murder in Altea’s eyes. “She’ll kill me, and you, and everything you love.”

Once more, with fervor, he begged, “Stop her.”

Eternal Sailor Avior

"Leto, I wholeheartedly agree on the sentiment. She needs to go, especially if that means we'll be cured and we can find our way home. But atleast... Perhaps we should chain her up first, get our answers, make her TELL us with her own mouth why she's done this. And then she must go. Lying is just as bad as withholding information if the intent is to kill us." As the chains gave way, and crumpled to the ground, he smiled again, nodding to Diadem and Kiuchi who had been successful in their own attempts to free the man, even if the crystals were in the way.

Yet before he could say anything else, the queen appeared out of nowhere, and his hypothesis had proven true.. Alarms.

"We will do no such thing, Altea." His words weren't cold, but firm, and he remained by Taran's side after the chains fell. How could they even consider moving from where they were after the information was given. "We are not your mindless servants. We are still alive, and breathing and we demand answers for what is happening to us. And you will give them to us now.

He hoped that atleast that some of the senshi around him would agree, and perhaps hesitate before out right killing the woman. A bit of maiming to punish her for what she had done to them, perfectly acceptable. For Avior was a vindictive young man, and had no patience for anyone who would hurt them. All of them. And especially not for hurting the ones he loved. It was only because they still stood nearby that his own fists remained by his side, close to Taran in case the queen wished to lash out.

Sailor Crocus

The chains were coming off, but it still didn't seem like they were close to freeing Taran. How unfortunate for them that possibly the only person that truly knew what was happening, was so hopelessly trapped. As much as Crocus wanted to trust the man though, a part of him still had his doubts. Maybe he had set these events into motion a long time ago and the Queen had trapped him down here. And because they used to love each other, she couldn't bring herself to kill him and save her planet from this crystal doom.

That's when she appeared, seemingly from nowhere. Her voice startled him and he turned around to face the Queen. He was in the middle of the crowd of Senshi, smack dab between the Queen and her now ex-fiance. She had finally come out of hiding, conveniently while they were all holed up in a small dungeon. They had been talking about fighting her, but this space wasn't big enough for that and what if her servants were waiting outside the dungeon doors? Was there another way out or were they all trapped in here now?

"Crap..." Crocus muttered to himself, this wasn't looking good. Would this divide them? Surely, nothing would come between their court. There was no way for them to know the truth of the matter, but one this was for certain. They were changing and he didn't believe it was for the better. It couldn't be like how the Queen had described to one of their own (Kissling). Losing their sense of touch was definitely not a good thing.

Accusations were flying back and forth between Altea and Taran, he kept glancing between the two of them as the argued. And now she was demanding that they leave. They couldn't leave her alone with Taran. It was their fault that he was in this mess at the moment. If they left and she did kill him, they would be to blame for that. For leading her down here. When did everything get so messy?

"We are not your servants Altea. We've been searching for answers this whole time. Who knows what you're up to though, it doesn't seem like you've been trying to help us though. We need to leave and we need to fix this." We wiggled his sparkling crystal fingers in the air again, so she'd know what he was talking about. "What do you really know about what's happening to us? Was that plague really a plague? And where are we exactly. We haven't seen any hint of an outside since coming here. Just the inside of a castle with glowing crystals. You have to admit it's all very suspicious. We might have been a bit quick to think of you as a hero when we first got here. Why not trust someone that saved us? Was that the plan? Play the hero and get away with whatever it is you're trying to do here?" Crocus had been quiet long enough. He hadn't found the answers he'd been looking for in the castle, but the Queen had shown up again and she had some explaining to do.

Diadem

Enjoyed a brief, juicy fantasy of using the ripped free chain as a flail to clock the senshi in camouflage across the face, her jaw set, and her lips, for an instant, thinning to a pale, angry line. Some people. SOME PEOPLE were so DAMN ready to pat themselves on the back and fly off half cocked that decrying -looking for the truth- as inaction and it made her NAUSEOUS with fury. No wonder air heads like Acubens got anywhere. God and she'd joined up with this faction hoping for answers. She got what was starting to feel like a bad make of 'Heathers' with a side of a Sci-fi movie she couldn't remember.

"Ok now listen here you vapid redneck b***h.
" SHe started.

She didn't yell. Diadem did not yell. Diadem just became -angrily still-.
That was before the queen came back in, fury on her face, and she turned her attention on Altea instead, red eyes sparking with tightly reigned fury.

"He's right." She said, thinly, nodding, marginally to Avior, "At least so far as the fact that I believe we are overdue for answers. You went out of your way to avoid even mentioning that you were not the only non-crystaline being in this world. We've barely seen you since we arrived and you tried to convince them" She gestured at Kissling "That this..." She gestured at the pink crystals. "Is some kind of -entirely harmless metamorphasis- which is patiently impossible, at least in our species, never mind whatever you happen to actually be... and right now what he says tends to neatly fill in the blanks. If you can't reason out why anyone in this room is deeply alarmed by the combination of little or no information and this then there's no hope for you. And I can only advise answers because I certainly can't stop you if justified distress and fury takes over for calm discussion that should have already happened."

She moved, just slightly, trying to put herself between Altea and Taran. Her own magic was not aggressive, but she hoped it would still be useful when things, it seemed almost inevitably, turned to violence.

Basic Senshi Mithra

When Altea had come into the room, Mithra had expected a fight. However, she was quite surprised that Altea was still trying to act like such a diplomatic queen. And Mithra couldn't help but laugh out loud. Loudly, and for quite a bit. It was amazing how much this woman reminded her of Mithra's horrible younger bratty sister. But the difference was that this woman didn't even give any excuses!

After she had calmed down a bit, no doubt having freaked a few of her fellow senshi, she looked straight at the queen, glad that someone had already cursed at her. She then took a look around. "You heard what she said everyone. She barely even TRIED to deny what Taran said to us. She just thinks we're going to blindly follow her!" Mithra said, smirking back at Altea.

"And I'm going to bet she was the cause of the room collapsing in the first place." It had been on her mind, but unless there was some monster hidden in the Mirrorspace that they didn't know about, Altea was the most likely suspect. And Mithra was 99.999% sure that it was Altea. "And I would like to say that while you did give us 'free reign'" Mithra put the last two words in air quotes, "you conveniently made it so we couldn't go into the upper parts of the castle. So it was less 'free reign' and more 'giving us certain parts to wander around in'." She sighed. "I may still not trust Taran 100%, but I never trusted you Altea. Stop with the act already."

Sailor Kiuchi

Moving to catch the man as he fell the senshi was a bit too slow. He did arrive at the downed man's side and crouched low. Asking if he was ok, wanting to check on him. While he couldn't remove the crystal, he hadn't the strength nor the magic, he wondered if anyone could remove them or if the Queen needed to go and that would be the only solution to their situation.

Looking to Avior, after noting the runes light up bright, Kiuchi bit down on his bottom lip. "I don't like this...those are alarms I'm sure..." And it didn't take long before he was proven right - she was here. She was between them and their way out, they were trapped in a sense. This wasn't good...he didn't like feeling trapped.

"We listened to you....it was the wrong thing to do." he whispered as he stood slowly. This man, who the Queen called a traitor, was their only hope of escape right now. The Queen had not yielded any answer to them on how to leave and in fact she had made herself scarce, when they needed answers to their own rising fear and nerves over the crystals forming in place of skin. He might not help them but neither was she. Either way they might wind up dead, or servants kept here like play things. He didn't like the idea - not in the slightest bit.

"You haven't helped. You've vanished...and you aren't defending yourself over what he's saying about you. You deflect....you can't deny it - you aren't denying what he's saying about you......it's true what he's saying - isn't it? He addresses what your saying about him." Where as she was deflecting, in such an obvious manner.

Moving to stand in front of Taran the dark haired senshi looked to Avior. "I don't like this....but we need to hold our ground." Here and now...there was no delaying this fight or trying to do things any less dramatic way. They couldn't leave - she would kill him and then...them, or she'd just make them new guards and such.

"I trusted you." He whispered to the Queen. "But I won't move. I don't trust you, not now after hearing you." He stated, keeping himself between the Queen and the target of her hate. Watching, and listening to Crocus, he found himself adding to the olders comments. "I want to know what the supposed plague did....or was it you making everyone like us? Would it even be unsafe for us to walk out of here? If there is anything outside of here." He added in as he wondered just why they hadn't been allowed outside, was there a real reason? Why had they not seen a door leading outside? Or had someone seen such a door and not mentioned it, or tried to open it.
