Her attention shifted to the Wooper, trying to get away from the snake wrapped around the woman's body. Until Yukie recalled the critter, that is, making Akela visibly flinch at the pokeball's harsh red light. It would be some time before she was comfortable being exposed to such a thing...if she ever got used to it at all. The woman had started going on about meat and somehow seemed to pick up on what Yukie had meant. "Their selection is pretty diverse..." she admitted, "Though I can only think of one type that's not for sale...Not in a place like his anyway..." The young woman paused for a moment before asking, "So what's the second?" She began getting herself a plate of the various meats available, wanting to taste each kind of animal, though she did also get some vegetables as well. Scarlett had to quirk a brow as Luffy insisted he was a pirate too. This little brown pipsqueak didn't seem like a pirate, more like he was playing pretend, but maybe he was just saying that because their trainer was something like herself. Cypher glanced to Scarlett, his Zap Cannon still charged and at the ready, but the espurr didn't really seem to notice or care. "No hostile intent detected. Shall I disengage, Captain?" The porygon z asked, and Scarlett nodded, waving dismissively but allowing him to remain by her side just in case. "Are ya neu? And do ya have a trainer?" She asked curiously, scanning the area as she slowly took her seat again. The espurr didn't seem like much of a threat, more like a child trying to make friends, or maybe an admirer of sorts. He introduced himself as Luffy, asking for her name in return. "Jus' call me Miss Fortune." She insisted with a light smirk. Even if the espurr was cute and seemed innocent, she didn't just go around giving her name to people, or pokemon, particularly not psychic pokemon.
She glanced to the doorway again, wondering when Zak was planning of coming back, if at all. In all honesty she wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. It seemed like just the sort of thing he would do. Things had been going so well and then it went from bad to worse in less than a minute. Then again, with two such volatile personalities like theirs, should she really be surprised? He just happened to hit a really sore spot of hers by dismissing the legendary lore behind his own pokemon as fiction. Scarlett didn't know if Ghoizard could open up rifts to the distortion world or could be used in some way to lure and catch a giratina, but if there was a connection, Scarlett thought it was damn well worth researching rather than dismissing it as pure fantasy. With the things about legendaries that were recorded as fact, was it really too much of a stretch for anyone but her to believe?

It was really too bad that their conversation got interrupted, because Zak was, well... Enjoying wasn't quite the right word, but he was getting more engaged in the conversation. And not just because his soup was bordering on finished. Nor was it because he had noticed Scarlett getting a bit roiled up over it and some part of him really wanted to see where that went (though that was a pretty good motivator; irritating her could be fun, so long as he didn't push it too far). Even with the clear warning signs that he was about to potentially be nagged, he would have liked to have continued the conversation, but the little furball very quickly cut it short. Not only that, but in reflection, he'd made Zak look like a total a**.
If there had actually been provocation or a sign of danger, Zak would have, of course, reached for his gun, and not maintained his grip on his spoon. That hadn't been the case though, so all anyone got to see was him looking like he was ready to try and spoon the pokemon to death. Which was fantastic.

Deys gave an appropriately obedient nod, and Zak moved away. He started back towards the tent entrance, but stopped a moment to point a finger at Daeva, narrowing his eyes. The Spiriake shrank away, growling and swinging his head from side to side, grumbling like a muttering, sullen teenager. He turned away from her and headed back, making a bit of a face when he saw that the espurr was still with Scarlett. "Having fun vis your new friend, Mishka?" he drawled, walking over and moving to stand by his previous seat. He stared down at the pokemon, appraising it with his hands in his pockets. He'd pretty much finished his soup, so he was ready to leave, but, surprisingly, he wasn't going to demand it of Scarlett. At least not yet.

Since Gamma was handling the Crossbow Range, given the slight advantage of having hands and not being accused of cheating via psychically guiding the arrow, Dotty decided to try the froakie catapult again. Gamma had been making it look easy, launching his a good ten feet almost every time he did it, but when Dotty threw herself onto the catapult with a tackling motion, the froakie plush landed just a foot away, getting little to no momentum at all. Dotty looked fairly disappointed, but took her one token consolation prize in her collection bucket and went to meet up with Gamma, who had at least done really well at the crossbow range with a whopping eleven tokens.

Testing her skills out at the berry bobbing station again, Dotty was a little disappointed with the fact that she still couldn't manage to get more than three lum berries this time, but at least she wasn't slipping back into the twos and ones. They still weren't having much luck with rapidash races either, but that's what you got when you picked safer odds; a steady stream of tokens but nothing big enough to be entirely satisfying. Nevertheless, all of the tokens and berries were added to the ever increasing pile. It seemed like they were making good progress at least. If they kept this pace up, they might have to report to Scarlett due to the bucket being too full of items to keep carrying it around.
