Chara's back. I just...how could I have ever have forgotten her? It seems like my weapons have taken a different form a well--the bladed staff that I used to wield.

EVA'S SACRIFICED BLESSINGS Major Blessings Chara had chosen her. Eva wasn't entirely sure why the weapon had decided to pick her out of everyone as she stepped down those stairs, but honestly? She was glad that she had.She obviously hadn't been thinking of fame, fortune, and fun adventures when she signed herself up for this Hunter business. She had just wanted to get away from all the stress...Eva had never had any reason to fight before, and it showed when she promptly got her a** kicked the first time she was pit against something. Obviously she had a long way to go until she became capable.She liked to think that she had had a talent for studying in the past. It sounded like a stupid thing, but despite her somewhat ditzy countenance, it had taken a lot of hard work--and maybe a little of that ability to retain things--for her to get into nursing school.Her first night after waking up at Deus Ex had been spent wondering about her parents. Were their lives better now, now that their oddity of a daughter was gone? She certainly hoped that people would ease up on them now that she wasn't hanging around anymore, at least...Making her way through the Gauntlet with Otto had been none too enjoyable...but only really because he had gotten clocked over the head and had forgotten her along the way. She had been hoping that the grails would help restore his memory, but no dice.During her very first spar, she had almost speared Bix through when she had lost her grip on her weapon while twirling it. Needless to say, she had considered the necessity of finding a way to cover up the bladed end of her staff. Minor Blessings Otto's blushing face as he confessed might have been the most adorable thing she had ever seen.There were no words to express the warmth that flooded through Eva's chest when she realized that he was her cousin.She promised to protect him. That would never, ever change.She could still remember her parents storming onto the playground to save her from the bullying. Although it had been embarrassing, she had been both grateful and relieved as well.The memory of the parasite being held up to her ear still brought her nightmares.She hated him for what he had done to the people she cared about. She remembered when she walked into the infirmary to see Gale with a cast...Her teachers praised her for being "creative" during the parent-teacher meeting. Eva didn't think she was being creative--she was just telling the truth.The giant dinosaur plush was perfect.It was at that moment that she promised to beat up anyone who harmed him.She remembered when they first met. She had been sitting right beside her, and they struck up a conversation...Nothing beat Christmas shopping with a friend.It was their first mission together, and Eva expected great things/She and Reine doted over Puppy as if he were really a puppy. They had been horrified to find him hurt.She let herself be pulled forward for a picture.They bonded the moment they started playfully teasing him.
