"No way, a big guy like you. I would think they would put you in the front lines!" He took back his hand, surprised at how smooth his scales were. Like the small garden snakes back home. "Anyway, my name is Niro. I'm...not sure what I am. Grant didn't say what my title was. But thanks for not hating for the mishap." Then something caught his attention at the corner of his eyes. Turning toward that direction of the princess, Niro bowed his head and waved. "Morning fair maiden!"

Amanae's smile broadened a bit at the boy's greeting, and she nodded very slightly before reluctantly returning her attention to the mindless chatter of the men beside her. "--and it goes without saying that we are delighted with the honor that this invitation represents." The Councilor bowed once again, and she nodded. "And if her Highness would care to retire to her rooms, we can discuss more of the particulars while she rests from her journey."

Amanae did not have to fake her relieved smile. "I thank you, sir. I am weary." Of you, she added silently. "But... if it's not too much trouble, I would like to take a turn in the courtyard first."

The ambassadors that had accompanied her shot her severe looks, but her hosts smiled politely. "Of course. Will you be requiring an escort, Your Highness?"

"I thank you, no," she said sweetly. With another deep nod, she calmly turned and walked out through the proud arches. She wasn't sure if she would actually manage to find her way into the courtyard, but wandering around for hours was better than having some giggling lady in waiting following her about.

Jewlet entered just in time to see Grant fall backwards. "Are you ok?" She went over to him. She looked about and frowned. "It seems some of the messegers are getting lazy, very lazy." She turned back to Grant. "Calm down. I'm sure she has gotten protection." She said in a calm tone.
She tilted her head remembering a little cat she use to have and how she used to rub the cats ears to make it calm down. Maybe it would work with Grant, but of course it would only be a fifty/ fifty chance.
Getting up on her toes she grabbed his ears and rubbed them, like she had done to the little cat. Soft and slow. A smile started to cross her face; she seemed like a child at that moment.

Grant batted Jewlet's hand away. "Not now, come one." He grabbed Jewlets arm and walked briskly towards the main court. Rounding corners and bursting through doors grant was really pissed. He knew if anything happened to the princess it was his head but they never let him know when royalty arrives. Grant burst through the doors of the main hall. "I demand to speak with the council this instant!" Grant demanded.

"Oh right! Sorry about that." Niro ran off to fetch the ladle and cups. He was slightly embarrass about the whole thing. They we're given an order and all he wanted to do was chit chat with Gon. Thankfully, Niro explored around the castle before he went to Grants office. He knew exactly where the kitchen was. Before he turn a corner, he saw Grant dragging some girl down the hall. Niro jogged over to the end of the hall and peeked around the corner. I would hate to be her. He wanted to go after them to help her out, but he needed to get the ladle and cup before the knights go after his hid.

In the kitchen, some of the workers were talking about the princess that just arrived and how nobody told Grant. Not being the one to have his nose in others affairs. That's what his ears are for. Niro just quietly got two ladles and as many cups as he could carry. So that's what all the commotion's about. With that he waddled back to the courtyard with the handles of the ladles in his pocket and arms filled with stacked cups.

Grant slammed his hand down on the table interrupting what they where talking about with an unknown group of people. "Grant! Mine your manners!" The head councilman said to him. "Especially in front of emissaries." Grant let go of Jewlet's hand and gave a slight bow. "My apologies." Grant said forcing his manners. "Members of the counsel, why was I not informed of the arrival of royalty? As Captain of the royal Knights it is my duty to see that any foreign dignitary especially royalty.

"We didn't want to cause any undue concern." The head councilman said.

"Well I'm sure the dignitaries would rather us cause a little ruckus in order to see to it that they're going to have the best in protection." Grant said in a angry tone as the councilman looked shocked at the point Grant made. The man then gave a small chuckle in a way that said, I'm trying to kiss up and hope that I didn't piss off the guy by not thinking that way. Grant smirked. "I hope in the future that you will give these messages to my messenger girl, Jewlet, here so that I can properly prepare. As for the current situation I'm sure that the dignitaries would like to see the fine protection that this castle will provide for them." Grant bowed to the dignitary. "My men will be waiting in the courtyard for your inspection." As Grant stood back up he turned and started walking out. "Come Jewlet." Grant said as he walked towards the courtyard.

Jewlet bowed her head to greet the coucil. She staied quiet as they began to talk. She listioned well as she was tought to. It didn't last long though, as her mind went somewhere else. A quite day came up in her mind and it relaxed her. She placed her head down getting more into her day dream. The mans chuckle snapped her back to reality. Putting her head back up, she moved her hands in front of her.
Jewlet turned to Grant. 'His messeger girl?' Now she was confused as she turned her head back. Once this was over she bowed. "Have a lovely day." She turned around and followed Grant out of the room. She quickly caught up with him.
