 Claude tends to prefer to either be by himself, with his family, or with a select, and intimate, group of friends. He's not very good with crowds, as the noise and stimulation tends to make his grouchy. The few friends he likes to be with are typically those he can have a good conversation with, on philosophy, ethics, and other things. In those situations he tends to speak quietly, feeling that a soft voice says more than a shout.
In the public eye, however, he is a knight. He tends to annoy people with his shamelessly shoving hos orange nose where it doesn't belong. But, he likes to think that he has save a great many individuals and that helps him sleep. Keeping in tone with his knightly persona, Claude tends to speak very well went in a confrontation, tending to veer away form contractions and curse words. He also tends to move gracefully and act in the same way.
Claude is hopelessly devoted to his mate and three children. He acts like the quintessential lame dad around them, trying to act hip with his sons, and grooming his daughter in public, basically embarrassing them to extraordinary extents. With Istas he's perhaps overly touchy-feeling, preening her gently and cleaning her when she's not looking. But they know him and know that it makes him happy, so they put up with his antics.

 Claude was abandoned as a basket, though not through any avoidable means. His mother and father were unfit to care for the poor dear, and felt that he would have a better chance of surviving if he was left to be found. And so he was, by Miss Scarlet. Against the verbal protests of his soon to be brother Claude was taken up the side of the mountain by the two small ponies.

Further inspection reveals that she has been crying quite hard. The intrinsic fatherly instinct in his propels him towards her. At first she doesn't tell him what's going on, the childish stubbornness shutting her off. However, after a little questioning and a lot of fatherly affection Kaidus eventually tells him about her mothers abandonment. It took Claude only the blink of an eye to take the filly under his wing and bring her home with him as his own daughter. Saving Grace - Claude and Nadia In this RP Claude has to reign in his emotions, and come to terms with the fact that, not only is his little girl all grown up, but she's perfectly capable of everything his sons are. He also has to deal with the fact that he wasn't the perfect father to her that he had thought he was. He gracefully comes to terms with all of these things and avoids friction with his daughter, all while fighting off a pack of Kalonas. In Need of a Knight - Lafayette, Claude, Lavanya, and Branwen Despite all of his encounters with less than savory character, most of which being Kalonas, here Claude proves himself to be a logical thinker, and a soft touch. Though he was not told about Branwen's race as a Kalona he kept himself under control, and easily got his son under control as well. With a smooth tongue, and a bit of a lost temper, he convinced his son to aide the niece of a graduated student of his in her quest to protect herself from her evil family. Special Places -- Nadia and Claude The most important thing to Claude is his family. As an orphan, he wishes to give his children the best father he possibly can. In order to do this, he takes a day out of each month to spend solely with one child. This day it was Nadia's day with her father. In order to make his favorite little girl feel like a princess, Claude took her to the glen his mother took him to as a child. Here they talked, discussed, and laid among the flowers.
