Alexander watched as the doors opened and the Queen herself came out of the very entrance. Alexander had respect for Royalty and kindly moved out of the way as she seemed to go elsewhere. One of the Princes also left for upstairs as well; it seemed they didn't want to be bothered. Grant however was still in the library heading towards the door, so Alexander took this chance to greet him and maybe even find out what was going on in the castle. It wasn't like Alexander wanted to be rude and intrude, but he believed he was entitled to an explanation about what went on in the castle. Alexander opened the door with difficulty due to his size, but eventually getting it open so he could confront Grant.
"Hello Grant...Mind if I ask you something?"
Alexander hadn't known Grant for too long, but there were enough experiences with their short friendship to at least entitle Alexander to a little bit of privileged information or at least reassurance that everything was going to be okay. Alexander didn't like secrets; such things could destroy almost anything if they were based on dangers. Secrets could be more dangerous than the answers they actually held. This made Alexander wonder if anyone he knew was risking destruction with secrets, maybe that was the secret that Grant knew and maybe would tell ALexander about.

[Hey guys, I just want you all to know that I might not be on for the rest of the week. Events have turn up that will keep me away from the computer. I'll try to get back on when I can, but until then please continue posting.
Grant and Ric- you guys can converse about what has happen and what to do about it. That part was up to you guys anyway. Falkot, you know....a good amount of what is happening. I trust your better judgment.
Alexander- I've already spoke to you. Just continue what we spoke of.
The rest of you just act accordingly. Do what you feel your character would do after the weird incident.]

As Grant reached the door he ran into Alexander. "Why hello there Alexander. " When he asked if he could talk with him he paused for a moment. "Umm, sure but i must ask that this conversation be on the move. I have important matters to attend to." Grant wondered why Alexander had come up this far in the castle. His rank didn't really permit him beyond the second floor of the castle without expressed permission and with the others who were recently captured Grant had a few questions for Alexander.

Jewlet sat her head down on top of her arms to rest. She looked at the tree and yawned. She began to hum lightly to keep her mind active, but it relaxed her even more. Taking a deep breath before she shut her eyes, she said. "This day will..." She stopped as her thoughts turned to the past. She opened her eyes. She shook her head lightly and shut her eyes again.

Henna awoke feeling well rested and ready to go. She stretched her arms over her head and yawned, only to find teat Alex was gone. She looked around the room and quickly got out of bed moving to the next room over, her wok room to find him not there too. She was concerned that he had needed something and had left to get it only to be harassed or yelled at or worse by one of the castle staff.
"Alex?" She called out and hurried into her room to change into day clothing, and fix her hair so that it was pinned up at the base of her neck. She wore a green tunic and a matching skirt, with short sleeves so that she could sew without worry that they would get caught under her needle.
She stepped out into the hall and sighed when she could not find her boy. "Alex?" She called again moving down the hall at a relatively slow pace.

"Sure thing! I just wanted to know what happened tonight; I tried waking Henna to investigate, but she wouldn't budge."
Alexander was quite refreshed to speak to Grant since it gave him a chance to try to forget the Ball. Alexander didn’t want to remember the horrible intoxication he went through, but wanted to keep in mind his progression from Minstrel to Assistant as a nice happy memory. Alexander never again wanted to dress in those horrible clothes and entertain the snobby rich people just to be considered a lowly peasant. Now Alexander had more of a ranking in the castle and he enjoyed knowing that more than the social boost itself. Alexander did begin to wonder why Grant had to be on the move so much; didn't the Captain of the Knight get a break once in awhile? There must have been some after math to the Ball situation Alexander wasn't aware of. Alexander then got a horrible thought about what he had said and quickly added on to his explanation.
"Oh and I got good news! I'm no longer a Minstrel, but rather Henna's assistant."
The order of that wasn't to Alexander's liking, but he would at least clear up what Grant might have thought about what Alexander had said before that good news. That did remind Alexander of the library restrictions and wondered if he was even aloud up here. Being an assistant to Henna would grant privileges, but was access to the library one of them? It probably wasn't since Alexander assumed Dirt Bloods liked keeping their servants out of educational facilities to keep them stupid.

Grant didn't know what to say about the incident seeing as he was sworn to secrecy "Well uhh, the incident was a distraction. We had a pair of thieves try to steel from the Royal chambers." Grant said as they walked down the stairs towards the balcony of the great hall I hope Jewlet went back to the hall. Once they reached the balcony Alexander mentioned something about a becoming an assistant. "O that's great that you got a promotion. So I assume you talked it over with you master." Grant responded as they descended the stares into the hall. She's not here. I hope nothing happened to her. He thought as they made their way to the main doors of the hall "Now may I ask a few questions of you?" Grant asked as he started walking towards the Royal garden. Grant thought that checking the last place they where was a good idea and seeing as he was out of places he could think of looking for her. Unfortunately Grant didn't see her anywhere. Beaten Grant figured he would head home once done speaking with Alexander and turned to head for the lower courtyard.

"Sure Grant."
Alexander wondered if Grant was really telling the truth; there was obviously more to it then just a distraction if so many important people met in one place at once after it. This was a common practice though; lie to the lesser class and then be unprepared for the danger to come. This was usually a standard practice Dirt Bloods used, but Alexander began to doubt what happened tonight would be something of that magnitude. Now Alexander wondered what Grant was going to ask him, there were so many things. Just the uncertainty made Alexander a bit nervous; what could Grant possibly want to ask an assitant? From Alexander’s experiences, servants in Dirt Blood culture didn't matter opinion wise or otherwise. Alexander came to terms that this was how Dirt Bloods worked: the rich stepped on the poor.
"What does the mighty Captain want to ask the lowly Assistant?"
This was basically a personal joke for Alexander, so he chuckled a bit after he said it, very well knowing Grant couldn’t argue against it; Alexander did have fifty years of experience being a slave for Dirt Bloods to back him up if Grant tried to explain how the social system was actually good and functional if arguement broke out.

"Come now, I'm as much mighty as you are lowly and if its the counsel that determined my might then your practically royalty." Grant let out a bellowing laugh. "Now friend, I've become interested in the culture you came from. Do the people of your race travel frequently?" He asked.

"What an odd question for you to ask, but I won't go any further in asking about a question until I've answered it."
Alexander thought for a moment and could come up with very few examples of traveling Tou, but there were possibilities of such that Alexander knew of from his father's experiences.
"Elders only travel when they're doing Council business with a bodyguard or two. Some regular Tou travel if they feel that the Tou Kingdom is too boring. The last one I can think of that would be common would be mercenaries; my father often hired Tou mercenaries to do an out of Kingdom task."
Alexander didn't like remembering his father and this question by Grant made it even worse for Alexander; traveling outside of the Tou Kingdom was how Alexander’s father met his mother. No Dirt Bloods were allowed in the Tou Kingdom unless they were family friends or servants and even then there were requirements. Alexander didn't want to ask Grant why he asked such a question; Alexander was old enough to know something Tou related happened; Alexander may look like a kid, but he had the mind of an adult so very few things fooled him. With a smirk that could only be described as Alexander’s smile, he asked Grant.
"So what event leads you to asking me such a question?"

"Interest mainly." Grant responded. "Though I would have though that mercenary would be a lowly profession for a Tou due to the nature of trying to be so noble." Grant stopped for a moment and looked at Alexander. He felt that Alexander mite know the truth to these questions. Grant was trying to get information for his later interrogations of the two captives but didn't want to cause a panic or any sort of international incident. At this point he wanted to remain the only one who knew of the prisoners heritage. If news of Tou's attacking the royal castle get out the royalty mite try to counter such an attack. Who knows what mite become of Alexander as well. Besides more nasty looks and distrust Grant feared that a witch hunt mite break out.

( I just know rps, and when someone's character isn''t active, they tend to have a habit of making it so, even if only in their own interest)
