She quietly contemplated the list of idiots in Team Skull who might've had the audacity to spray over her tag. She supposed there was Neon. The girl always complained that Azalea's tag was too "boring and dull colored". Azalea's eyes narrowed at the thought, holding the danshen in her arms a little tighter. If that b***h thought she could paint over her tags while Azalea was away and get away with it, she had another thing coming. "I better not find those gaudy bright rainbow colors sprayed over my skull, or I'm gonna kick her sparkly little a**. ********' spraying over my tag...." Azalea grumbled to herself. She put a lot of effort into painting those tags, and she never put much effort into anything, so having to go back and repaint was super annoying, and she damn well would make sure the person responsible would pay dearly for it.

Changing the song on her music player to be something louder and fast-paced, the music quietly blared from her headphones, capturing Glori's attention as she wriggled in Azalea's arms. "Hm? What's up fluffball?" Azalea quirked a brow and moved one of the earphones off, as if hearing the pokemon would help her understand it at all. "Dan! Da!" She seemed to have her eye fixed on Azalea's headphones, and the scientist smirked with mild amusement. "You a fan of heavy metal? Heh. Alright." Hanging the headphones around her neck, she cranked up the volume to blare the music loud enough for both of them to hear and enjoy. Lavender winced at the sound of the guitar and yelling. The ghost couldn't really understand Azalea's tastes in music, but Azalea didn't care. She was happy one of her pokemon had good taste in music. She could feel the danshen quivering happily in her arms, almost as if she felt energized by the fast-paced music too. "You're gonna be a little headbanger, ain't ya? It's cool. Stick with me kid, we can battle to this stuff and kick some a**." Azalea insisted.

As their small group neared the forest's end, Azalea noticed that Glori had seemed to take a new interest a butterfree flying by, her wiggles to the music turning to wiggles that broke her free of Azalea's arms. "What? s**t, Glori no! When I said we'd kick a** I didn't mean now!" Azalea gave chase to the enthusiastic hatchling as it rolled and hopped towards the bug type. "Dan! Dan!" It growled, seeming to taunt the butterfree into fighting it.
The butterfree swooped down, attempting to take a swipe at Glori. "Lav, intercept it!" Azalea commanded, attempting to wrangle the damn hairball, but Gloriosa rolled out of her grasp, insistent on standing her ground against the butterfree. "Arceus you're gonna be a ********' handful." Azalea sighed, looking over to the other pokemon. Lavender was currently smothering the butterfree in gas, and the bug quickly started to stagger midair, falling victim to her toxic gasses, but Gloriosa encased herself in a glowing psychic light, taking control of the butterfree and slamming it into the ground to knock it out. Azalea blinked in surprise, glancing between the danshen and its victim. "Huh... Guess you aren't completely defenseless after all." Closing her eye, Glori seemed rather proud of herself. "Sheeeeen~""Don't get so cocky hairball; you're lucky Lavender weakened it for you. Now come on. I've got places to be." Grabbing her by the fluff, Azalea plucked Glori up and tossed her lightly so she could catch her in her arms.

If there was one thing about ole' Jacque that Reina was proud of was his torque. Getting through muddy overgrowth wasn't as simple as it sounded. His tires however, weren't the best for this sort of terrain. Even still, Reina pulled through, having to push him out of the mud at some points... they managed to be making some headway through the forest. "You know, thinking about it. Maybe I should just get some new tires fitted for Jacque. Something like dirt bike tires?" Anubis, who'd taken to traveling ahead of everyone looked back with a tilt of his head. 'You mean like those bikes that people get all muddy and dirty on?' Reina nodded. "Yea. Save, we're not going to get dirty or muddy on Jacque... Well, not on purpose. But wider tires with treads would make it easier to get around mountain paths and muddy paths like we are now." Reina explained. Anubis nodded. "Pewter City might have a bike shop, or at least an automotive shop where I could order some tires. Worse comes to worse, I'll just order some online and we'll have to trek to wherever they deliver." No doubt it'd be nearly a weeks wait regardless.

We need to work on your landing, but I think that was pretty nice!" One girl smiled, collecting her Eevee into her arms. "Yea, Rowdy is gettin' real good. You might actually end up being rivals to me and Rossi." The other girl grinned, collecting her own Eevee. One of the Eevee's took notice of Reina and sweetly cooed in her direction, both girls turned to face the older woman. "Oh, didn't know we had an audience." Both girls met Reina midway, each playfully scratching their Pokemon. "What did you think of our performance?" One of the girls asked. Getting closer, Reina picked up on her slight accent. She wasn't from this country, at least her accent wasn't. "Pardon, but I only came in at the end. What were you two doing?" Reina replied. "Practicin'." The other girl spoke up. Her accent was also different. It sounded... southern. "We're going to take part in contests." She added. "Contests? You mean those performances that take place on a stage?" Reina inquired. Both girls nodded. "My friend and I, with our Eevee's Rowdy and Rossi plan on going to Kalos soon. We wanna make sure we can hold our own before doing so."
Reina had heard on contests. To think the community of co-coordinators had taken root all the way in Kanto also, well it was to be expected. More and more People were taking to contests, rather than gym battles. She wasn't to sure how much money could be made yet in the contest ring... but with any sport, gambling was sure to follow. Her thoughts went to the Articuno she'd recently added to her team, about what they possibly could of been doing with the bird along with all those contest items. Smuggling? Cheating? Extorsion? Whatever it was, it was illegal. "am? Maaa'am?" A light tap on the back of her head from Anubis and Reina returned to reality. "Did something we say make you angry?" One of the girls asked. "N-no... It's just. Do you two know anything about... money being exchanged during these contests?" It was along shot. Both girls looked at one another shrugging. "You mean like gammblin'? Maybe. I mean, it is a competitive sport, and some contests even give out prizes... not really in the way of cash though." "I see... Where would I go to sign up to join a contest?" Both girls grinned. "Another rival appears before us?" The girls giggled. "Well, As of now Hoenn, Shinnoh and Kalos are where you'd take part in official contests. We'd recommend Kalos though." Bio/Personality - Breed and raised in the professor's lab, this anxious young Snivy has awaited the many days before it became the partner to a trainer. She has a very gun-ho attitude, and is very eager to meet new people and make friends. Bio/Personality - There isn't much to know about Ra, save she has a very unique look. She was likely captured to be sold at a high price to some good-for-nothing Pokemon collector.

Tossing on her jacket as well, with the chill of the approaching night sweeping in, Reina looked back to Anubis and Anak'su. "I really wasn't planning on taking on gyms or contests during this vacation. But something in my gut says I need to dig deeper into those men who had Ra held captive." Anubis nodded. He felt it too. Whenever Reina had a gut feeling, it was rarely ever wrong. Thing was, where would the even begin looking? Reina couldn't risk bringing the wrath of Miss Assistant down upon them, the last thing that poor woman needed was knowing Reina was looking into something potentially dangerous. She didn't even like when Reina went off on a missing Pokemon case, let alone a potential gambling ring. There was no doubt in Reina's mind... this likely had something to do with the most notorious gamblers in the country; Team Rocket. Dealing with Team Flare was one thing, but this was a mafia-like syndicate, not some pumped up children with bad fashion choices and a odd affinity with fire. She'd need to tread carefully.

Bio / Personality - Anubis has been with Reina since day one. And despite the fact that he hasn't evolved, he adores Reina. It isn't like he hasn't tried. For whatever reason, he's unable to evolve, they've tried everything, but in the end it just hasn't happened. As a result, he gets very upset when others treat him like a baby, or like he can't take care of something because of his size.

Bio / Personality - Nefret, much like Nepherti was being used in a illegal Pokemon trade. She was forced to use her pheromones to attract male Pokemon, which, given their size compared to females, were worth more money. Reina wasn't actually on a separate case She happened to stumble upon the illegal activity because of it, to which she freed Nefret along with several other Pokemon, Nefret grew attached to Anubis, Reina's partner because he was the first "male" Pokemon she'd encountered that seemed... immune to her 'perfume'. She's sly and has a sassy mouth, usually getting in fights with Anka often. She however has a soft spot for Anubis and will often adhere to him when he asks her to do something.

Bio / Personality - Anka was a Snorunt when she met Reina. Reina, just promoted to an Inspector was on a case on a series of bank robberies when she came upon the Snorunt, apparently abandoned by the criminals upon during their heist. It was Anka who became detrimental to solving the case, of which she and Reina grew a bond, eventually the Snorunt found a dusk stone and evolved so she could be stronger. However, old habits die hard, and Anka will sometimes steal something, usually jewelry or petty change, but she's quick to confess to Reina and return what she stole.

Bio / Personality - Nepherti has been with Reina since she was a rookie cop. The naive rookie was on a case against some Pokemon Smugglers, where she came across Nepherti, forced to evolve for her scales, as she wasn't a normal coloured Milotic, even by shiny standards. She lived for a few weeks at a sanctuary, but ever since Reina rescued her she knew she was meant to be with her. Nepherti is kind and very protective of all things smaller than her, and by her size standards, she's bigger than nearly everything. She doesn't like people touching her tail however (The Hexagon designed part of her body) She also doesn't understand her own strength.

Oh, Viridian Forest. Now, this was some familiar stomping grounds. Lafayette rolled off Dova’s back as the Noivern touched down, barely sticking the landing and nearly tumbling his way headfirst into a tree. Noah caught on quickly and snatched the back of his trainer’s shirt to give him a little leeway, which was a welcomed act.
Lafayette straightened up, shot the Dewott a grin and a pat on the head. "Ta mate! Now let’s get lookin’." He said and began to head from the path towards the forest. Now this search would be trickier; forests were thicker and less straightforward than caves. The wishing star? It could be anywhere. Maybe even somewhere, where the eye wouldn’t be able to catch it…

Lafayette frowned and stopped in his tracks, grunting just a bit as Noah ran into him, followed by another shove as Dova ran into Noah. The only one not running into anybody? Cheri, who had planted her butt in the dirt to continue the random online game she’d found on the internet through the communicator.
"Hold’a moment mates… we ain’ goin’ ta find this star by just usin’ our eyes." He said, beginning to fish with his one hand into his bag. He pulled out one of the starts they’d found. He stared, rotating it between his fingers. There was the light, that was what they’d been relying on so far to find them, but was there more they could use? It’d take a super sniffer to discern a glowing rock from the rest of them.
And he had just the teammate for that.

Now was it safe to be unleashing a fire type in a forest? No, no probably not. But Micah was a good Arcanine and had yet to unintentionally set anything on fire. Only intentionally, and only under Lafayette’s direct order.
Fortunately, he seemed to be in a good mood, despite being pulled away from training before having so much as a chance to get a single bite into anything. But Micah was already strong, so maybe he could live without a battle for a day.
"’Ey Micah! I got’a job feh ya mate!" He held the wishing star up to the Arcanine’s snout. "Think yeh can sniff this out fa me?" Micah eyes shifted between trainer and rock before he snuffed the odd rock as requested. Once it seemed he’d gotten a scent, the hound stepped back and put his nose to the ground. A few more sniffs and he bolted through the forest, leaving the trio standing there in surprise.

The three stood in silence. Noah wasn’t sure what to make of Micah just hauling a** off into the forest without so much as an indication that they follow. Should they … make sure he was alright? Follow? Stay put? The Dewott wasn’t entirely sure.
Admittedly, he was a little jealous. He’d only found one Wishing Star so far and while that was an accomplishment compared to say, Cheri, who was doing absolutely nothing, he felt compelled to do more. In fact, this little hunt reminded him of that scavenger hunt they’d gone on with the eggs. But this time, Lafayette was fully awake, and they were running the risk of dropping straight into a lake as a result.
He wanted to do more. But… he didn’t have the best snout. Noah’s nose might’ve been big, but that was more of a … genetics thing than anything else. Subconsciously, Noah rubbed his nose with his paw. It wasn’t that big on second thought…
While the poor Dewott became self-conscious over his snozz, the trees rustled and Arcanine returned. Lafayette tilted his head curiously, holding a handout as the hound opened his mouth and gently dropped the star into it. "Rippa’ job, Micah! Knew I could count on ya!" He grinned, wiping off some of the saliva before tossing it in his bag with the rest. He gave Micah a hug around the neck, nuzzling the pokemon’s fur. It was nice to have the big guy out. Maybe he ought to do that more for some of his pokemon? Returning him, he turned with a grin to a cooing Dova and boarded up for the next spot. They were on a roll.

✧✧【Ah, Viridian Forest, ye old familiar place you… Eveline couldn’t recall the last time she’d visited this place in particular, or anywhere in Kanto really. Then again she had very good reason not to, not only was the region host to Team Rocket’s headquarters but it was perhaps one of the few areas where Void’s influence was arguably stronger than in other regions. She’d certainly hope they wouldn’t end up stumbling across one of their labs here, especially in a place like Viridian Forest where the thick foliage combined with the natural maze-like structure of the area would make it easy to set up a small facility well out of sight from passersby. Even more problematic was that Void was known to be a lot more subtle than most other criminal syndicates, they weren't the types to loudly announce their presence with uniforms that could easily be spotted from a mile away or giant inconspicuous buildings that could be pinpointed as headquarters.
Everything they did was always meticulously planned out and kept covert, staying in the shadows and away from the public eye to minimize the chances of any meddlesome trainers stumbling across them. For all you know, some random man you happened to accidentally bump into on a crowded street could be one of their members and you wouldn't be any the wiser. Still, she was somewhat confident that if they did happen to bump into any hidden facilities or agents, her Pokemon should be strong enough for them to be able to handle themselves, hopefully... Though it certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea to use the opportunity while they were here to strengthen certain members of her team who could really use some extra training.】✧✧

Unlike with their new Scyther companion, Merlot felt much more at ease with the pair of far more familiar faces, at least she knew them well enough that she wouldn’t have to fear for her own safety around them. Brushing her tail contentedly against the forest floor, the Nickit nosed around the undergrowth as she sniffed around for the star. However, it seemed she’d disturbed some of the local bird Pokemon during her search effort, as an agitated screech and the loud flapping of wings directed her green eyes skyward in time to see a Pidgeotto diving out from the canopy towards her with a Pidgey trailing just behind it.】✧✧

✧✧【Bracing herself against the aerial assault, Merlot took a couple hits from both the Pidgeotto and Pidgey each before she chased them off with a couple loud, intimidating Snarls. Zinfandel, on the other hand, was hardly struggling as she easily took out a couple Caterpie, then again she actually did have a strong type advantage against such opponents unlike the Dark type. Still, the birds were preferable to the Nickit as opposed to the Bug types, even if they didn’t exactly go down in one hit since she didn’t really have any strong moves to use against them. Pausing briefly to allow Eveline to spray her down with some potions so she could stay in top condition, it seemed the disturbance caused by their battles was riling up more of the wildlife as the Nickit could hear a veritable cacophony of angry caws rapidly closing in on their position. Oh good, even more of these birdbrains to deal with… Merlot bared her teeth and braced herself for more combat as yet another Pidgey, followed by not one but two Pidgeotto, suddenly crashed through the foliage in a burst of feathers and fury and swooped in towards her with their talons bared.】✧✧

✧✧【The Pidgey, being a touch weaker than the last one Merlot had fought, went down quite easily in a single hit, to her satisfaction. The Pidgeottos, predictably, were made of much tougher stuff and managed to get in a solid strike on her each before she chased them off as well. Those birds certainly hit hard, but it would take a lot more than that to be able to put her out of commission as she easily shook off the damage while Eveline healed her up. Zinfandel had gone on a bit further ahead to look for more wild Pokemon to fight, leaving them to comb carefully along the rest of the forest in search of the star.
Merlot’s eyes lit up as a familiar odd smell hit her nose, following the aroma of the odd purple rock to find it tucked away in an almost inconspicuous spot underneath an Oran berry bush. However, before she could reach for it, something suddenly rocketed out of the foliage close by and slammed hard into her, sending her staggering back as the attack had taken her more by surprise than it had actually hurt. Recovering quickly, the Nickit bristled as she caught sight of her assailant, a Pikachu that was now standing between her and the wishing star. The electric mouse stared her down with its beady black eyes, yellow fur sparking with latent electricity as it stood protectively by the glowing rock as if to say ‘Mine’. Merlot, thoroughly unimpressed by the mouse’s attempt to intimidate her, returned its challenging glare with her own deadpan deep green gaze, and let loose a cacophonous, angry Snarl that sent the Pikachu stumbling and reeling before it dropped to the ground, unconscious. With a satisfied huff, the Nickit wasted no time immediately, well, nicking the wishing star and bringing it back to her trainer. ”Heh, good job there, Mer,” Eveline praised with a chuckle, rubbing the little fox behind her big ears as she took the rock and stored it away. Merlot’s face remained impassive, though she gave a low, throaty purr at the affection as her broom-like tail wagged a bit in contentment.
By the time they caught up with Zinfandel waiting for them at the treeline leading to the Pewter City side of the forest, the Corvisquire seemed quite proud of herself as the fainted forms of a couple Weedle and a Kakuna lay at her feet. She gave a proud sounding trill before flying back over to Eveline, the woman chuckling as she held out her arm for the bird to land on and gently stroking the raven's sleek blue and black feathers affectionately. ”Had enough fun for now, Zin?” she asked, pulling out their Pokeballs to return them for now, ”Maybe next time we can do some training zee enemies will be a bit more of a challenge for you two~”】✧✧
