"No problem," Keno answered very charismatically, as he strolled around the large book, seeming to head back to the entrance. Digging his hands into his pockets, he hopped off the ring rolled very gracefully before rising back to his feet.

"If I do return, it'll be a bit later than now so I'll trust you'll be done whenever I happen to get back. You two have fun and I'll see you later." Disappearing slowly into the corridor, the traditional tapping of his feet are replaced by a much softer sound that fades much quicker than his previous pair. Therefore, the less sensitive members of the Orion, should they have been around, would not be sure if he had vanished again, or if he simply made it all the way back to the main room.

He slowly knelt down before the book, almost in reverance on the verge of prayer before an altar. He briefly closed his eyes before setting his hands upon the cover of the book, "This here is a historical account of past, present, and future events. The symbols scrawled across the spine of the book are in the tongue of the Words of Creation, reserved for the Truename of every thing and everyone to ever exist, regardless of any reincarnation. This book was chosen by me very specifically, and it is the reason I am here today, and why I asked Keno to leave." He carefully opened the book, allowing the spine to ease open as he turned to the front page which was completely blank save for a single word in the lower right corner in impossibly small font. Sliding his hand down along the pages to where yellowed paper became a pristine white he reverently opened the book. Now opened he pointed to the golden glow scrawling out sharp black lines, following just behind an orange glow which obscured the rest of the page. Even as she read the line the book would be detailing how she did so, which could theoretically begin an endless loop of reading about how one was reading.

He smiled as he tried to pry her attention away from the book for a moment, "I had other plans, but I think this would be a better use of this book, given the fortuitous happenstance of you being present here. This book is yours, not to keep, obviously, but I think allowing you to view a single page is a fitting gift, especially having missed your birthday. You can view any page you like, where in the fading past or the unknown future, but only one page. If you read from the future I must warn you that whatever you read may change because of this, but it is certainly not written in stone. I often read of my own past from my book, filling in the large gaps I cannot remember. So please, as my gift to you, this is your life."

<~>At long last I return, but it appears I must catch up on the events in the tournament and so I will assume lurking.

Well that was just depressing. Hotaru sighed and stood up. "I'm going home now. Tell Keno that I said bye. Cya." She said then left the area, and then the building.

He watched her leave with a hint of disappointment, "Um, goodbye, I guess. And I will, if I see him." Once she was gone he scratched his head and glanced to the book, "Well, that didn't exactly go as well as I had expected. Well, seeing as I expected her to look into the future I guess it really didn't go as expected. Hell...most people do... Looking back isn't generally a...human thing to do." He plopped down next to the book with Kwalala and looked to the large clock on the book, "Yeah, I know." He stared for a good minute or so, "Forgive my blaspheme, but kindly shut the hell up." He folded his arms and leaned against the massive book, pouting.
