Hotaru was always such a joy to have around, he thought as his girlfriend offered the little kid her smoothie. Feeling a pang of jealousy that he couldn't act all super cute without being creepy or stepping out of character, he took the less full of the remaining too glasses, which wasn't much emptier but enough to matter, and began to sip, delighted with his woman's handiwork.
"Practice for what?"
"Huh?" he said in response, feigning ignorance rather well and hoping it would work. He wasn't sure talking about having children someday would ever be a good idea. At least not with Ichi yet. He'd have liked to talk to Jade but he was still a bit sore about what he had overheard and wasn't sure he wanted to talk to her for the time.
Taking another drink, he smiled broadly at his blonde mistress and gave her another loving hug. "It's very good. Thank you."

Ichi ignored the fact Keno said 'huh'. It was probably nothing important, or something she didn't want to talk about, which was great that he let the topic go. She picked up her own glass, taking a sip, just then, Keno held her again, so she smiled.
"Thanks Keno."
She took another large sip and pulled away the glass, licking her lips to get the small amount of smoothie left on them.

"I only compliment you so much because you're good at what you do," he said suggestively, as though forgetting there was a naive six year old standing around listening. Releasing her soon after, he decided to lead the troupe back into the main club room where there was actual space.
"So tell me Ichi, what have you been doing for almost half a year? Sorry I'm not about as much..." It seemed a shame that of all people to have to play catch up, it would be her. Not User, or Sato (although he should) or Monkey Boy, or the mage. Ichigo though. He looked grim for a moment, but masked it behind his delight in the strawberry-mango-orange juicy goodness.

Ichi grimly sighed, thinking about what she had been doing in that time period. Which was 'nothing much'. She didn't want to say she was bored to tears without him since she didn't want him to worry.
"I made a new friend!"
Luckily, she found out what she did during the boring months.

Hotaru smiled then took the glass, holding it in both of her small hands. "Yay! Thanks Ichi!" She said then started to drink some. "It's good!" She looked up at them both with a smoothy stash on her upper lip. "Ichi and Tao Tao sittin' in a tree."
