Ugh.. Where am I...
The blurry thoughts of the kitsune seemed to become clearer and clearer by the moment as she sat up from her spot on the couch. Glancing around with bleary eyes, it took her another moment to realize that she was in the lounge area. How long had she been there? She wasn't exactly sure. But all she did know was that her head hurt like a ******** b***h.
"Totally not cool.." she mumbled to herself, pushing herself off the couch and allowing her bare feet to hit the floor.
Wait. Bare feet?
Oh yeah. She had taken off her sandals when she had been set on the couch before from her previous headache. That had been awhile ago. And for some reason, there was still a dull jolt in the back of her head that was not feeling good at this moment. Ah well.
Letting out a soft yawn, she ran clawed fingers through her aquamarine locks, ruffling them up a bit to give it a fluffed up look compared to the matted appearance only seconds before. Standing up completely straight, she began to stretch luxuriously like a well-fed persian cat, even letting out something akin to a purr as she relaxed in her pose. Glancing around the room slowly, she took note that she was the only one there at this point and time. Interesting.
|| Gonna go get food. Best be a post when I get back, Keno! ||

"Is that the place?" his eyes fell upon a familiar construct decades younger than the form he knew. Not too much had changed at all, and though he felt a bit awkward for not being able to find it sooner, he had come upon it in decent time he felt. "It certainly looks like the same place and I somehow doubt Ba-chan would let anyone tear it down."
For him, it was not just another day. This would be a day of many firsts for him: his first visit to Orion as a young man, his first day completely on his own, his first day meeting knew people who didn't know him. That was the big one actually. Not a single person knew him here in this place, and yet he could name off a few if he sat down and actually thought about it. His feet moved on, down the trail that led ever closer to the tower before him, only to stop at a set of stairs.
He paused for some time, staring at them as though once he stepped foot on them there would be no turning back. "That's not true though," he reasoned with himself, assuringhimself that even if he walked all the way up the stairs, he could turn and go back down and no one would ever notice. "There's no point in doing that though. If I'm going to walk all the way up there, I might as well go in."
Aside from the fact that he was talking to himself, he really couldn't think of a reason not to continue. That said he lifted his right foot and with all the dramatic suspense one could possibly muster without trying to, the gray sneaker landed with a soft pat that seemed to thunder in his ears, his large, black tipped, silver ears. They flicked irritably at the sound, caught off guard by it, and he felt everything around him slow down to the point that he almost felt nauseous.
"No. I wanted this remember? Besides I can't go back empty handed. Not at all." Mustering up all his courage, he gulped and began a light spring, the cotton of his light blue jeans ruffling behind him as his body practically flew over the stairs beneath him. His tail whipped under the air pressure, trying to reach a more comfortable position, but completely at the mercy of his speed and the air around him. He cursed his father inwardly as his bushy appendage greatly desired to be closer to the center of his body.
It didn't take too long though at that speed, one can imagine, for the young boy to reach the top. Standing before the door, he looked like a statue awkwardly placed in front of the only entrance he was aware of. Nothing could really get in with him there, but he didn't budge until he once again recomposed himself, and even then, all he did was knock. He knew before hand that knocking was unorthodox, but this wasn't the Orion he knew. Hell this wasn't even a time he knew. That said, if no one was around, he would just leave. He didn't feel like wandering about a vacant club.

As Miyuki pushed aside her shoes, having decided she'd rather be barefoot, it seemed that her throat was starting to bother her. Rubbing the side of her neck, she began to walk towards the bar area, intent on a nice cold glass of water. Or maybe some iced tea. Yeah, iced tea with a whole bunch of sugar, that would be gre-
Knock, knock, knock.
She paused and blinked a few times, glancing at the doors of the Orion for a few moments before tilting her head to the side. "Who the hell would be knocking?" she mumbled to herself as she began to stride over that way instead.
She picked up a scent, one that seemed familiar but she knew she had never met this person before. The scent reminded her of someone but she just couldn't pinpoint who. Hopefully the mystery would be solved when she opened the door. And speaking of which.
Without further hesitation, Miyuki grasped the handle of the door and pulled, opening it wide to peer outside at the newcomer. "You know you don't have to knock he-" she stopped short of her sentence, taking in the appearance of the man that was standing there. She could see the kitsune in him, different shades from her but kitsune nonetheless.
She stood there silent for a moment, seemingly staring before she realized what the hell she was doing and quickly stepped back to let him inside. "Gomen, gomen, I seemed to be out of it for a moment," she apologized quickly.
Damn, he was hot.

He stood there for a moment, looking dumbfounded at the lovely young lady before him. She seemed about ready to say something, but she had paused all of a sudden and now she was staring at him. It made him feel rather edgy, but the blush in his cheeks didn't even color his pale skin, which glimmered a lot like white beach sand. Instead he fidgeted a bit, his right arm rubbing the left side of his brown canvas jacket, which shuffled under the weight of his palm.
"I'm sorry miss...I know I didn't have to but this is my first time here and...I didn't want to visit an empty residence." His voice rang out like a chorus of bells as his large gray eyes glossed over a bit apologetically. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea... Suddenly he seemed to want to be invisible and locks of straight, black hair fell over his eyes as though that was all it would take to make him disappear. If only.
His tail swayed nervously too and for, expressing his inward fear to come off as too assertive or aggressive. Or maybe it was another sign that he really didn't like being stared at like that. What was so marvelous about him anyway?
"I'm sorry," he bowed, feeling as though he had done something to send her mind adrift. "My name is Kenta...Kenta Kitsune. I was told that if I came here I'd be welcome. Is that true?"

Miyuki seemed to immediately notice how shy he was, and cursed herself for staring so openly. Baka deshii, you just had to look like a fool and stop blinking for those seconds, she mentally berated herself before slowly reaching forward and grabbing right below his elbow.
"Of course you're welcome here, Kenta-san! Please come in, I'm sorry if I was rude before," she said with a smile, gently pulling him inside so that she could close the doors behind him.
"I'm sorry for staring, I just haven't ever seen you before.. And the fact that you're a kitsune as well, I suppose you caught my interest," Miyuki stated with a nervous laugh, her porcelain skin showing a tinge of pink a moment later after her words. God, she was acting like such a teenager right now.
Brushing a few stray locks of hair out of her face, she motioned over to the bar. "Will you come have a drink with me? I am craving some iced tea myself," she said fondly and just as she was about to walk away, she suddenly rapped the side of her head with her knuckles before turning to him again.
"Wow, my manners seem to have disappeared on me today. I didn't even introduce myself! My name is Miyuki, but you can call me Miyu."

When she touched him, his blood raced and his tail snapped, confused and alarmed at the gentle gesture of welcoming him into the house. He couldn't even pardon her for being rude and shift the blame to himself. Though he didn't think it was his fault, it certainly wasn't hers, or so he felt.
"Are we kitsune rare," he asked curiously, almost sure that he had been told otherwise, although he knew his particular color wasn't exactly common. Ignoring the question as just idle banter, he moved on to the next topic; drinks.
"Tea would be lovely actually. I haven't had anything to drink for some time now. Do you drink it sweet or unsweet..." Trying to be friendly, and feeling a bit more comfortable, he began to move on his toward the bar to have a seat.
"...Miyuki san...you have a very lovely name."

"It's not exactly because kitsunes are rare or anything, but I only know a certain amount of them. I hardly ever run into any that I don't know, especially with the differently hued fur that you have," she said as she moved towards the bar, her tail swishing back and forth gently behind her. As she stepped behind the counter, she disappeared underneath for a moment with the exclusion of her ears, the tips still noticeable over the countertop as they flickered from the sounds in the room.
"I drink tea sweetened myself. We have sugar here so you can add how much you want to your own glass; I have no idea of anyone's preference," she stated as she stood up with a pitcher of tea in her hand. A few moments later, two glasses were poured out for them, and a minute later, she was seated at the bar with him, adding her own sugar to her glass.
"And my name isn't really that nice. I've been running into more and more Miyuki's lately so it's apparently a very common one. But oh well, it's still very nice. Your name, however, I don't hear very often," Miyuki said as she took a sip of her tea. Letting out a defined purr that indicated she enjoyed the taste of it, she wrinkled her nose cutely before blinking and looking over at him. "So you said this was your first time here? I'm glad I was able to welcome you on your first visit! Some people aren't as friendly so you may not have had a good first impression of the place."

"Oh I already have my own impression of this place, but different circumstances mean everything," he said as his eyes darted for the upmteenth time to look the lady over. "For example, I've not met you before, and you alone bring a certain allure that I've never known here before." Smiling kindly, he reached out and placed his soft ivory hand over her hands, guiding the tea away from her.
Staring at her for a moment, his eyes seemed to mix like balls of melted iron behind the lenses. The glistened as they took her in, his smile inside and outside content and grateful that this encounter wasn't a complete disaster. He meant nothing at all by taking away her drink, but he had a better idea of what they should drink.
"You do seem to enjoy a good cup of tea, Miyuki san, but perhaps I can make you a better cup? I promise you'll enjoy it quite a bit. My mother taught me some of the finer points herself." Refusing to take no for an answer, he rose immediately to his feet and made his way around the bar, his tail finally calm as it swayed behind him like a pendulum. Having prepared the tea kettle, tea bag and all, he turned around to face her, leaning over the bar to rest on his elbows.
"Oh and I forgot to tell you, you are the first and only Miyu I have ever met, which makes your name very unique to me. Perhaps when I meet another one I'll have a second opinion," he smiled.

She blinked a few times as she realized that her tea was being taken away from her. But before she could place a protest against it, she heard him offer to make her a cup of tea himself. So without saying a word, she merely nodded as she watched him move behind the bar.
"Well I'm glad to be the first Miyuki you've met, as you're the first Kenta I've ever met as well!" she said in a cheery tone, her tail swishing over the edge of the barstool. She was gazing at him with her head tilted to the side, lips pursed together before pulling back into a smile.
"So where are you from?"
The question was poised innocently enough, for she was just a bit curious about her new companion. She had yet to figure out how she knew him and why he smelled so familiar.

"I'm glad to be the first. Hopefully I'll leave such a good impression on you that you'll love every new Kenta that comes your way." With a content sigh, he kept a sharp ear out for the whistle of the tea kettle, enjoying Miyuki's company more than enough to want to come back around.
"Where am I from?" he paused for a moment, thinking to himself that where wasn't the question so much as...
"I guess the best answer would be east. My house isn't exactly registered as being in one city or another so that's all I can really say." He seemed sincerely unsure of how to answer, but didn't want to discourage her answering any other questions, so he merely laughed lightly to clear the air.
"What about you Miyuki san? I've been told that a few people actually live here at Orion, but others are just visitors. Would this happen to be your home?" He was sure the answer was 'no' since he couldn't recall her at all, though apparently his father's aura was all over her like a good friend. Did they split ways at some point? Such a shame to part with such a pretty lady.

The air hummed with life and motion, a blue blur cutting through it periodically. Down lower, droplets of sweat hit the tile flooring of the ring with soft 'plicks', falling around a pair of heavy black boots. A pair of black pants were tucked into the top of the boots, leading up to a short white tanktop, crossed over by a strap holding a sheath to the other side. Further up still led to a low bustline, and a familar gold locket.
A pair of green eyes narrowed as Seinorei was pulled close to the young womans body, her left hand pressing flat against the side of the blade near the tip. Then she slid her left hand up towards the hilt, rotating the blade in the air to a striking stance, her feet stepping to her right as though she were dodging an attack.
Swift. Precise. Strong. Manuverable. Use the enemies strength against them.
Jade wanted to get stronger. She wanted to be able to protect herself when the need arose, and not have to have someone rescue her from danger. She wanted to be strong and confident with Seinorei, so that Father would be pleased with her improvement. And that took time, and practice. And so, here she was.
Sweat dripped down from her midnight locks into her face, giving proof that the Saiya-jin had been practicing for some time now. And she showed no signs of letting up.

"No, I don't live here. I have my own place, my own establishment even. That is my home. I live there with three other co-owners of the bar and my newborn daughter," she said with a sigh, tapping at the glass of the iced tea she had poured herself earlier.
"We have other residents in the place; all my rooms are full. I have to start building a second home there," Miyuki finished off rather softly, eyes staring into the contents of the drink before turning to look at him instead.
"I'm glad I'm able to meet you now though. You're such a nice person; it'd've been a shame had I not run into you."
Her smile widened greatly at this point as she ran a hand through her hair as she had many times before. A bit of a female habit on her part but that didn't really matter at this point. Her ears twitched a few times before falling back into a comfortable spot against the soft tresses of her wavy locks. She was quite content at this moment.
