<<@Miyu: Go find judges, then.... >o>; ....we can start as soon as we have enough volunteers.>>
<<@Tacity: ...don't remember you ever applying... < <;; >>
::The question brings a pause to Deity's rhythm at the full extent of his arm, causing him to continually repeat his last number in his head so he doesn't forget it. 672, 672, 672. What's an odd question, he thinks to himself. 672. Come to think of it, he hardly remembers anything of his birth mother, and knows for a fact that he's never met her. She must've died centuries before he even reached his current awareness. 672. Though Father obviously knew her well, he's never spoken much of her - at least no more than her name and demeanor.
The tall Orinian lowers himself again, bending his arm before pushing himself back up, losing another drop of sweat. 673. His thoughts return to the young woman's question regarding his mother. Tali knew her personally, though held little but discontent for her. The closest thing Deity believes he ever had for a mother was the woman that turned him into what he is, 673. He knows not why she did what she did, nor whether to thank her or curse her. What would Deity say to her, if she were still alive, the quiet boy imagines. If he hadn't killed her, even. It's a taxing thought.
Another repetition, and the Tonepian breathes deeply and quietly through pursed lips. So much of his past is a mystery to those around him, and even more of it is a mystery even to himself, 637. Living through only half of one's life can be so disorienting at times. Blinking a few times, Deity comes to his answer, vermillion eyes still facing the ground at a bit of an angle. His soft, whispering voice breaks the silence only briefly.::
...her eyes....Deity remembers her eyes...
::Drifting seamlessly again into silence, he continues with his repetitions, once again at his normal pace. 638, 63-- .....wait, what number was he at, the boy asks himself, brow furrowing with perplexed annoyance. Might have skipped one. Twisting his lips a bit in thought, he pauses again as he labors to remember what number he stopped on. They don't matter so much, but this would be easier if he spoke them aloud so Kirra could remind him. Sighing with a gentle shake of his head, Deity continues. 1, 2, 3...::

"678, 679, 680, 681......"
Even though she had been reading, in the back of her mind, Kirra had been counting the rythym that lifted her up and down. Somehow, even sitting on his feet, the girl had been able to tell that Deity lost his place. After a moment of silence, the girl spoke again, leaning forwards suddenly and resting her elbow on her book, and her chin in her hand.
"I didn't have parents, so to speak, so I don't know what it's supposed to feel like. I've only see the drawing Jade did of hers."
It was true. Kirra was an extension of Jade, formed after the murder of Jade's parents. So she wouldn't have any, unless you wanted to consider Jade her creator, in some sense. There was another pause as Kirra thought to herself.
"....why don't you ask your dad about her, sometime?.......687, 688, 689....."

<<@Dreamer: ..... < < ....excuse you.>>
::How perceptive of her. Shaking his head with a bit of a smile, Deity keeps his thanks to himself, going off of Kirra's provided count as he continues through his reps. Then another question, followed by another pause, this one at the very bottom of his fall, nose almost touching the floor. The boy finds this answer a little easier to arrive at, pushing himself back up as he speaks up again.::
...tried. He prefers not to speak of her...
::The 'he' is of course Deity's father, Sir Aaron. Older than modern human civilization as Earthlings know it, the Knight has seen all that Deity has and more, and has the memory capacity to retain a lot more of it. However, he tends to keep so much of it to himself. Though going so far as showing his son the ancient path leading to the Orinian Time Chamber some years ago, Aaron refused to disclose how he himself originally came to find it. Quite the mystery, he can be.
A few reps later, all the while silent, Deity brings his left arm out from behind his back, slowly extending it to his side before letting it drift forward, index finger pointing out. With a hastened breath and a light jar of his slender form, he removes his right hand and replaces it with his own, hardly compromising his posture at all. Taking another heavy breath, he gently tucks his right hand behind him before continuing his push-ups.::

((*holds out a soughdrop to Dreamer*))
"I see."
And Kirra dropped the subject right there. Obviously, it wasn't something Deity could give her much detail on, nor something that he seemed very comfortable with. She felt him shift slightly underneath her as he switched arms, and smirked a little. A bit of her mischievious side was coming out.
Closing the large book that sat on her legs, she tossed it out slightly in front of her and Deity, wincing slightly as it landed with a loud 'thwap' on the tiled floor. Then she started shifting her weight side to side, to purposefully try and throw Deity off balance.

<<@Dreamer: Deity says 'excuse/bless you' whenever someone coughs, sneezes, burps....whatever... xD ::shrug::>>
::The loud slap of the book cover hitting the smooth stone floor startles Deity a little, his eyes drifting upward to find the source of the noise. With a sigh, he simply continues on with his repetitions, lowering himself to the floor before pushing his body back up, Kirra's weight hardly noticed as a difference when compared to his alone.
Now, shifting the balance of her weight, on the other hand, is a completely different story. His legs swaying to either side with the girl, he strains to keep his arm and torso in line, support weakening each time she shifts to either side. What the hell is she doing, Deity asks himself for no apparent reason, knowing full well that she's just trying to pester him. His soft voice yelps for just a moment as he feels his balance pack its bags and wave goodbye.::
Y-you're gon--
::He topples. Turning a little as he falls, the Orinian manages a roll to his right, ducking his head and landing shoulders-first to end up on his back. As soon as he does though, his hands and eyes are up, hoping to see where Kirra lands - in case it should be his face.::
