~Colours Official Line art for NPCs etc.~
Class: 2
Availability: Medium
Requirements: Stage Zero+. An ability to colour without a template, including a practised concept of lighting/shadow, ability to follow samples such as the Plushies for colour cues. While there is a limited amount of official line art now, other things like items, special event limiteds and Cicus pets may also be passed on for colouring.
Mentor: Raelyn
Wage: 5 Sol for every completed NPC and an additional 2 Lunes for other types of colouring, as well as an additional Lune for every new reference borrowed from the Library on the subject of Art.
After careful review of yer application for th' Artist's Assistant's apprenticeship, I have decided that yer perfect fer th' position.
Should ya decide that ya'd rather relinquish th' position at th' time o' Transcendance, er any time before hand, please make a post in th' ABB and repost th' position as shown above.

Feint - A - Making a fake attack to psyche out your opponent or distract their attention while you strike your real goal. (Feint - A - +1 to next successful consecutive attack )
Terrain - J - The skill of keeping sure footing - especially when the arena gets a lil banged up or you're outside them walls in the real world...Things can get pretty messy out there. (Terrain - J - +4 to attack or defend )
Tumble - J - The ability to fall safely and not get hurt. Whether you've screwed up a jump or you've been dropped to the ground from a throw, this'll make sure you get up in one piece. (Tumble - J - +5 to Defend )
Grab - J - The act of grabbing an opponent in proximity to elad into another move or protect yourself from a strike. (Grab - J - 2 defend)

Animal Care Prompt A fellow Zero has misplaced their Cicus Pet and has been unable to find it. A poster was posted in the hallway outside the Animal Care Classroom and the Teacher’s Lounge with the following notice:
Help Wanted!
My Cicus Owl has gone missing and I haven’t been able to find it. She disappeared during the last full moon while she was out exercising and never came back. Please help me – there is a reward for the person who bring her back. She answers to Guineverre and is friendly but dislikes males.
She likes open spaces and forested areas. I checked the Flora Gardens but I couldn’t find her. Perhaps that’s a place to start?

The location of Berylia’s dormroom is scribbled below her note as well as a sketch of the gold and green owl. It appears to be a Great-Horned Owl. Find, capture, and return Guineverre to Berylia. Use what means you have to capture the Cicus Owl. There should be at least 2 posts detailing the search and capture of Guinverre. The location and method of capture are open for interpretation. If you are unsure about something, please message SkieBorne for clarification.
Rolls must be made in the use of skills and items as per described in the Repository and other Resources. The Owl’s skills consist of: Peck (30% difficulty, 2 damage), Fly (automatic), and Echo (Can throw voice, 40% difficulty); HP is 7; Dice Pool is 3. Feel free to make a new thread and make your rolls there to keep your journal tidy, simply link to the appropriate rolls where needed.

Quest // Animal Care - A bird in the hand...
"All right, I’ll see you all tomorrow!" Abacus called over his shoulder, waving to professor Lelaus and his two fellow students, Daggart and Cypress. They had been visiting the professor every day after classes to learn more about the Ipes and Bael, as well as keeping and taming a monster. He enjoyed the subject throughly, and looked forward to spending a couple hours after class to learn more on the subject. Part of him was doubtful, though – could he really take care of a Bael? They were so different, so unique that Abacus couldn’t help but to wonder if he was up to the challenge, if he could provide the support a creature like that needed. He shook his head, clearing his thoughts. Worries like that could come later, when he was older and more ready to take on the challenge.
Besides, he was still learning about them. What if their ailments were easy to diagnose and cure? Abacus, quit counting your birds before they hatch, he chided, tossing back his hair with a laugh. There wasn’t enough time to stop and worry, and – Oh? What have we here? Abacus turned to the wall where, near the door to the Teacher’s Lounge was a notice. A missing pet – quite a pretty one too! I wonder if I could catch it on fi– agh, Abacus! Focus! She’s missing, and all you can think about is taking her picture? Geez, you can do better then that! Now, he focused his attention onto the notice, examining it further. Step one: find more information about cicus pets. Two: find more information about owls. And for step three... Aw man, she doesn’t like males?! Abacus’ shoulders slumped, This is going to be harder than it looks. Though, I wonder... Could my hair pass me off as a girl? He tilted his head to one side, flicking his eyes up to study his long bangs and layered hairstyle. ... Nah. Enough messing around! Time to find an owl.

After returning to his room to collect a couple library books, Abacus exchanged two of his books for two more and renewed another. Armed with these, he made his way to where Guineverre was last seen: the Flora Gardens. Let’s see, the note said she liked forested areas and open spaces... There don’t seem to be enough trees to make a forested area, but there’s enough open space. The area’s surrounded by glass, too, so she couldn’t have flown out... Hm.
The journeyman settled himself on a bench and pulled out "Encyclopedia of Animal Life," one of the recommended books from Professor Lelaus’ list. Owls are nocturnal, so chances are Guineverre is too... I might as well take the time to read up on owls and cicus pets, and see if I can find anything worthwhile.
And so settled, Abacus began to study.

The sun slowly crept its way through the sky, ignored by Abacus as he focused his attention on the book in front of him. He had made sure to read the section on Cicus Animals first, to better understand what Guineverre was. He knew they were a sort of familiar – an animal infused with Essence. But how different were they from their non-infused counterparts? How do they become infused – are they admitted to the Metatron’s presence? Or what if Gregor was correct – what if Essence was "leaked" out, and picked up by the animal unwittingly?
Well, at least his research answered some questions. He wasn’t dealing with an animal anymore. I better not try to trap her, then, he decided, flipping to the back of the book to look up her species, She would be insulted, not to mention ticked if I tried something like that. Hm... I wonder if her species would give me a clue? The journeyman studied her specie, even went far enough as to flip to other animals, namely prey. Could I lure her out with food? ...Wait, would she even still eat mice? I don’t think I could catch one, not without a trap of some sort.
He sighed and closed the book, setting it off to one side and leaning back. He hooked his arms over the back of the bench and craned his head back, looking up at the sky. At least it’s a beautiful sunset... Hey, why don’t I snap some pictures of this? Abacus grabbed the camera hanging around his neck and pointed it skywards, adjusting the settings and taking a snapshot. Wait – sunset?! Geez, how long have I been out here? Wait, wait, wait. Owls are nocturnal. This is a good thing, I just need to wait for her... If she’ll appear, that is. Otherwise I might have to come back with my scope. That... should be able to pick up on her ‘Ether’ traces. I should ask professor Lelaus.
Abacus stood up from the bench and walked toward the nearest flowering bush, kneeling down and cupping the precious blossoms in his hands. Such color... To think that these were just a plain yellow! It looks as if someone lit them on fire! Now, how to photograph these... Flash? The color is affected by the sunlight, so would I get the original color with it? Hm... He fiddled with the controls and settings on it, then raised it to briefly flash the Gardens. All right! Now for one without, just to see how it turns out...
