Although I disliked the fact that they screwed around with the storyline, it wasn't half bad. But it took soooo long for the movie to start because of technical difficulties. When it did start, though, it shocked me to see the Littlest Elf that I freaked out and asked myself if I was in the right theater. Thankfully, I wasn't, and that was a good element of surprise in the first part of the movie.
Because of the actor's great performance, I was able to look over the fact that they mix the scenes up. ...which, in truth, it lucky for the writers of the script because I was thoroughly mad about that mixing. mad

Sita Carew Well, I liked the movie. I HATED the fact that they chnaged the order of the books... it's more like a fanfiction than a movie of the series. But I liked the artwork, and I thought as a movie it was pretty good. And I like Jim Carrey. The siblings were cool-looking even though violet was a different race than the others xd What's your opinion? Violet is white.

I really disliked the movie. Most of the characters were messed up, and the plot totally changed, and I'm not just talking about the order of the books. The magnifying thing at the top of the tower was really weird... So, overall, I was very disappointed. sad mad

I thought the movie was very well done. Although it wasn't long enough and it wasn't in order, I liked it. I hope that they make another one. :]

I thought it was alright. It had the same kind of adventure and mystery feel as the books, even though it was of course shorter than the books. I thougt it did a really good job of capturng the gloom even though the Baudelaires were so resourceful. I'm kind of biased in its favor because Jim Carrey was in it.
