Eternal Sailor Cybele

Cybele remembered Fang. He had been with her on the night that they'd ambushed the Negaverse, on the night that she'd become a Princess. It had been a favor to her, back when she hadn't yet met him.

Of course if he was requesting help, she would do whatever she could for him.

Mentally, she prepared herself for what they might be about to see. This place was infested with Chaos the way that Alastor had been. Of course it was going to be miserable. That was why they were here.

To distract herself, she looked across the gathering crowd. There was a warmth in her chest as she realized that she recognized the vast majority of the people around, at least in passing, by their faces. A lot of these people had come up to the festival on her world.

A handful caught her attention specifically, though. First was Ganymede, of course, with Valhalla by her side. She'd be able to pick them out in any crowd. Then, she saw Lysithea, closer to the edges of things. Then, Ida.

None of them were Princesses at the moment, but it made her stand straighter to know that there were such powerful women around.

Super Sailor Daphne

It had been a few weeks now since the last time Daphne had seen Fang, and his world.

It seemed so soon after Urania to be going through all of this again. Her anxieties were still hard to manage sometimes. She still didn't really know if anything about her life was worth it, much less if getting the chaos off of these dead, empty worlds was actually going to do anything.

She'd felt an immediate sense of kinship with Fang, though, stronger than with almost anyone else she'd met on Earth. Now he was one of her friends, and if he needed her to help him with something? She would be there.

Not wanting to crowd him, though, she decided to glance around the crowd instead.

First she saw, Murikabushi, who was wearing white, and she wanted to say something about that, but he also seemed to be surrounded by people who were just a little to enthusiastic about the so-called aliens for Daphne to deal with them in her current mood.

Adria was here, next to Lysithea, and, oh. Those were their friends, weren't they? The ones that Lysithea had said that she should meet. She didn't know all of them by name, but hopefully that would be okay.

"Hello," she said, simply, as she walked over, her tail swishing a little stiffly behind her as she tried to make sure to nod at everyone.

Super Murikabushi of Hunger
Action: being Perceived. Perceiving in return. Hello, Grieve!

Coming out tonight, Murikabushi really had intended to just……be as incognito as he could manage, as an off-duty drag queen who stood six-foot-four prior to the addition of his cute little pumps. Drawing attention onto himself had not gone well for him lately in the past few months. Trying to avoid drawing attention onto himself, on the other hand, also hadn’t gone particularly well for him (again, he thought back to Telesto’s stupid party, and how all he ******** wanted was to show up, deliver pizzas, and leave, but then he had been Perceived, and leaving had felt like it would’ve been more suspicious than trying not to draw attention to himself had apparently done……)

It only made sense that running his mouth, even in a way that he intended to be helpful, would draw attention onto him. But when he noticed the strange, yellow space-senshi, it……didn’t really feel like that? ……She seemed really fixated on Muri’s ears. But maybe that was just him imagining things.

Confused, he tried to catch her eye and give her a little wave “hi.”

Fang felt a little more apprehensive as people started to acknowledge him directly, individually—he wasn't sure if he would ever manage to personally thank them all, or at least greet them all, as much as he desired to. Every one of these people were showing great bravery in coming to his aid.

He nodded back to Murikabushi and followed up with a large smile to Malus and Michel, tail giving a slight wag.

"Thank, Kaifeng," he said in response to the Squire.

To Ida, he also nodded, trying to remain more serious. And Ilse… His heart skipped a beat, but he swallowed all of that back. Effie, he waved back to. Caliban earned himself another of Fang's nods of acknowledgement. Grieve… He didn't know what to make of Grieve, but at least she was excited to help.

And Daphne and Cybele had shown, too—he gave them a shy little wave, a little nervous of all the attention, but trying to be strong.

He looked over the group once again, eyes lingering on Michel—his first true friend on this planet, the one who'd taught him so much about this planet, protected him on this planet—and nodded. He was ready. He could do this.

"We go now," he declared, focusing all of his energy on taking the group to Fang.

In a blink, they stood in what was once the capital city, what had once been the town square. He could only recall seeing it once before—when he'd come here with Ilse just a week ago. Most of the large wooden buildings here had not yet been destroyed, not like the ones in the village.

A huge shape rose from nearby, and Fang's tail bristled. All was quiet for a long moment, and then he finally got a proper look at the creature—his worst fears confirmed.

Yet, somehow unmistakably, a horrific, twisted version of the very Chrysocyon he'd once called mother.

ZOMBIE CHRYSOCYON: ???/???

Combat Mechanics

Combat mechanics are straightforward, dice-based, and tied to stage. Each round will be treated as lasting one minute, so most magic attacks should only last for a single round!

HP

First Stage: 50 HP
Second Stage: 75 HP
Third Stage: 100 HP
Fourth Stage: 125 HP

Physical Attacks:

Physical damage includes hitting with fists or weapons, throwing objects, or otherwise attacking the creature without the use of magic.

Cats in Cat Form should roll 1d6 for physical damage
First Stage characters and Cats in Human Form should roll 1d8 for physical damage.
Second Stage characters and Sailor Cats should roll 1d10 for physical damage
Third Stage characters should roll 1d12 for physical damage
Fourth Stage characters should roll 2d8 for physical damage

Magical Attacks

Magical attacks are divided into two categories: direct damage and indirect damage. All attack magic will damage the creature, even things that only affect its many, many feelings! Direct damage magic is any magic that specifies either pain sensations or actual damage in its description. Indirect damage magic is magic that targets opponents with emotional or other nonphysical effects--most debuff magic falls under this category! If you’re not sure which category your magic falls under, feel free to contact me privately and I’ll make a judgement call!

Spell attacks are based on the level of the spell, not the level of the character! However, Chibi senshi should subtract one die from their damage.

Sailor Cats using attack magic should roll at Super stage.

Direct Damage

First Stage: 10 + 1d6 damage
Second Stage: 10 + 2d6 damage
Third Stage: 10 + 3d6 damage
Fourth Stage: 10 + 4d6 damage

Indirect Damage:

First Stage: 10 + 1d4 damage
Second Stage: 10 + 2d4 damage
Third Stage: 10 + 3d4 damage
Fourth Stage: 10 + 4d4 damage

Magical Healing:

Magical healing is any ability that restores characters in any way, including Transcendent energy sharing. You can use these spells with a dice roll based on their level.

Spell healing is based on the level of the spell, not the level of the character (except in the case of Transcendent energy giving)! However, Chibi senshi should subtract one die from their healing.

First Stage: 10 + 1d4 healing
Second Stage: 10 + 2d4 healing
Third Stage: 10 + 3d4 healing
Fourth Stage: 10 + 4d4 healing

Buff Magic:

Buff magic is any kind of magic that has an effect that boosts allies' abilities. When casting buff magic, roll as follows and quote any targets affected. They will add your total roll to their damage for the round. Chibi Senshi roll one less die!

First Stage: 2d4
Second Stage: 3d4
Third Stage: 4d4
Fourth Stage: 5d4

Shielding Magic:

Depending on the type of shielding magic, it may simply absorb a round's worth of attacks or provide some damage mitigation. Touch base with me individually for shield spells; I'll give you an answer depending on how they're written!

If you feel your magic doesn't fall into any of these categories, hit me up and we'll work something out!

The Zombie Chrysocyon's initial attack has caused 15 Damage already, so please note that in your posts! The current psychological effect status is: Hunger. It feels as thought it will never end, like nothing the character could ever eat would fill the hole in their stomach. It seems all-consuming and difficult to think around. This effect depends on food insecurity—how confident is the character that they'll have food once this is all over? Are they always sure of where their next meal is coming from, that they'll have a next meal at all, or not? Do they have any trauma about going hungry before?

Eternal Sailor Ilse
HP: 85/100
Action: Running to Fang! No attack for now.

Ilse wanted to believe that, whatever Fang’s world had ot throw at them, she was ready. And there were friends!! She waved back to Varuna, Adria, and Malus, flashing theme a bright, “we are totally gonna do this” smile that she hoped reassured them, because she was also trying to reassure herself.

It would be fine. They were going to be fine.

She steeled herself, when Fang said they were going up, and squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, like that might make it easier when they arrived.

It did not. Getting a better look a the thing just made Ilse feel dizzy and scared, and then it roared, and there was an awful emptiness inside her, an all-consuming hunger the likes of which she had never felt before. It made her head spin, made her limbs feel heavy.

Was this what Fang had felt, all those years alone?

That thought snapped her out of her own self-focused delirium.

Fang—where was—

She saw him, on his knees, and without hesitating, she ran over, sliding in next to him and gently grasping his shoulders.

“Fang—Fang, can you hear me?” She didn’t care about the monster; let others deal with that. Her magic wasn’t even that useful here—who knew if a monster could feel wanting? “Darling, please, talk to me.”

Botein, Super Senshi of Amulets
60/75 HP

Botein hurried over to the growing group, next to out of breath. She had definitely overslept. It was so close to the end of the semester so she had been pretty stressed over all the final projects and work and all of it. All Botein had done was lay down for a moment and before she even realized it was time for her to head out. So here she was, practically running, hoping she wasn't too late to help.

"What did I miss?" She asked as quietly as she could to the nearest person, still trying to get her heartrate under control. Maybe she did need to spend more time working out... but where exactly would Botein find the extra time?

But there wasn't really much time for a response, she apparently had arrived just in time. Blinking the young woman took in the change of environment. It really was quite different then where they just were. She didn't really get a chance to do much more then just turn look around before some kind of creature appeared. It looked hurt, and sad, and her heart ached just looking at it... And then it roared... or barked? roarbarked? barkroared?

Either way, the sound had not only her ears ache, but it also had a strange effect. Hunger. She was hungry. Starving in fact.

Ellicott, Super Senshi of Dance
60/75 HP

Dark brows rose when the super senshi saw the gathering crowd. Now this was a sight to behold. So many order members in one place. It ranged from the first ranks to the highest there was, at least as far as anyone knew. Ellicott honestly wasn't sure she was going to heed the call for assistance but she had decided it was best to go. After all one never really knew when a call for help could eventually be one you had to place. Better to at least know others rather then be a lone fighter, which is what she typically was.

She did have her connections but not nearly as many as she would have preferred. Especially since she realized that while she had grown stronger physically... her magic was still lacking in it's deterrence. Magically she was definitely a support class fighter.

Bah.

Ellicott barely got her bearings on the crowd before they all were whisked away to help this Fang person. Something, fear maybe, spiked through her when a zombie dog... a really BIG dog thing... appeared and did this strange bark roar. Hunger quickly over rode the fear. It gnawed at her.

"Status effect?" The young woman muttered quietly, trying to understand the rapid change from fear to starvation. Well crap... This wasn't good. She could fight back if it was physical but mental? That was much harder to counter.

Ngome, Page of Lysithea

Ngome looked around at the diverse group of individuals gathered in the park, each one wearing a determined expression. Some were armed with weapons, others with magic books crackling with energy. Ngome could sense the tension in the air, a palpable mix of fear and excitement as they awaited Fang's next move.

Ngome watched in horror as Fang was overcome by the memories and emotions flooding his mind. She knew she and the others had to act quickly to help him break free from the crippling despair that threatened to consume him.

Chibi Sailor Zenobia

Zenobia looked around at the others that had came to help Fang out. She wasn't sure if she was the only chibi there. When she had heard that he needed help she thought that it would be a good chance to at least meet more senshi's and hopefully learn from them.

Zenobia wasn’t sure if she was the only one who could feel the oppressive weight of the creature's twisted magic pressing down on them all. She saw Fang drop to his knees, heard the echoes of pain and despair in the creature's roar, and knew she had to act.

Deep Space Sailor Selinur, glaze ice.
HP: 60/75
Roll: 10 + 4 + 4 = 18

Selinur was always interested in helping others with their homeworlds, saving each bit of the cosmos was important, and so it hadn't taken much talking from his fellow ancient to get him to agree to helping Fang. While Procyon was good with talking to others, greeting them, Selinur kept to himself and observed thsoe around them. A lot of people were here to help, a good tghingif you asked him, but he always wondered if it would be enough - because it had to be. There was no way t hey could lose to the chaos up there.

It was amusing that he and Procyon lived under the same roof as well as Ida, who was here, and Fang as well. Yet he didn't speak much with his fellow ancients...too busy working or investigating and learning what he could of Earth. Arriving up in space the fair haired ancient took the time to look around, sniffing at the air, he was trying to take in whatever he could abotu this palce. Not just the sights but the sounds and smells as well.

He heard the rustling and soon enough saw what they would be facing down. Growling low the fox like senshi stepped back, bracing himself as if expecting a physical attack ,his ears tipping back in a show of warning. That creature, whatever it was, should be dead fro mthe looks of it and yet wasn't...that did not sit well with him. It was against nature.

When the attack came it was magical, he knew that much, what he wasn't expecting was the feeling of hunger to wash over him. It was a feeling he knew well, he'd felt it on his own planet, he'd had nothing to eat for so long...nothing had survived but himself. His planet, and it's magic, had kept him alive without food but that didn't mean he hadn't felt hunger. He'd felt such hunger and yet couldn't feed it....and that knawing feeling in his stomach which he knew so well. It was back and had him stepping back a pace as he shook his head. "No...it's not real." He whispered, more to himself than anyone else. He had food...he wasn't stuck on a dead world anymore. he was on a planet with food - an abundant food supply.

Moving towards the creature, as close as he dared, Selinur made sure he was just in range to use his magic and did just that. "Freeze up."

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Freeze up.
Selinur will tap his foot gently on the ground, whilst calling out his attack, this attack can be used two times in battle and lasts 35 second each time. When he taps his foot on the ground it’ll cause the temperature to drop within a 7 foot radius of him. For the duration of his magic, it appears as though chilly rain is rapidly falling around him. Wherever the rain drops land will immediately solidify into a frozen glaze. He will be immune to the glaze but the ground beneath him and anyone or anything who comes into contact with the falling rain will be rapidly chilled by the layer of glaze that grows over them. The ground beneath him will rapidly become slippery, and any items near him will become too cold and slippery to pick up. The seven foot radius of his magic moves with him, however the more he moves, the less rain coats an area and the less slippery it will be. When the magic ends, the glaze will immediately dissipate unless players want to have lasting damage. The rain falls much faster at this stage than it did in his basic magic, allowing him to coat more in less time.

Sailor Pleione, Senshi of Fog.
HP: 35/50

Pleione didn't know why he'd agreed to this, why he'd agreed to go up to space with the other, senshi things weren't things he wanted or even cared to get involve din. Perhaps though it was his love for science which had him deciding to join Procyon on this. The trip to space, or rather a shift from Earth to space, was rather quick but it was disorienting because it was so vastly different than what eh'd expected, and from Earth itself, that it had him shaking his head and looking around. In fact, he missed the zombie like creature turning up but he didn't miiss it's magic or escape it. Instead he was hit with an overwhelming need to eat...a hunger he'd never known before. He'd never not had food when it was wanted or needed. This was a new feeling for him and his attention was turning, focusing on the creature.

"Zombie..." He whispered, his mind going to all the zombie movies and shows on tv. There were so many of them that he was certain this thing should be running at them all and infecting them all, and they would just all wind up like the beast before them.

Princess Lysithea of Unicorns 110/125 HP

Lysithea wasn’t going to sit around while Fang was fighting for his world, he was still her roommate and she cared for him, and when Michel had let her know what was going on, she agreed at once to come up and help in any way she could.

The others were coming too, and honestly the whole idea that they could provide extra help if it was needed brought her a large measure of calm. “There’s so many people here. That’s good. I love when people are able to come together…” Of course, they were here for a reason, and when they were brought up to Fang, Chaos happened.

…As it tended to do in these situations.

She didn’t hesitate and shifted to her Princess form as the creature attacked. “Shoot!” Something was wrong. This was more than just an attack, she felt…desperately hungry? That…she didn’t appreciate that in the least.

“I don’t like this, Michel.”

There were others she wished she had time to speak with, several of her own Knights, but it was too late now, perhaps she could talk with them after.

Without waiting to think more about it, she reacted and shot her eternal magic at the creature, hoping to do something to end this feeling.

When Lysithea calls out her attack a flash of white light rushes at her opponent, and if the attack hits them, it feels as though something heavy is hitting them, much like if a Unicorn were to slam into them. The force of this may be enough to knock over weaker opponents. After the initial impact the opponent will feel four distinct feelings of pain, as though the unicorn was trying to trample them. The feeling lasts for forty five seconds, and this attack can be used once per battle.

Michel, Knight of Saturn
HP: 85/100
Damage: (Indirect Damage ; 10 + 3d4) = 20
Action: Making eyes at Lysithea, moving between Ilse/Fang and the creature; using his magic on it

That wasn’t what Michel wanted to ******** sense of dread filled the pit of his stomach, not for him. For Fang.

Michel had seen monsters. His Wonder was full of them. He had no emotional attachment to them. He didn’t care how many corpses or mountains of bones he found there.

But he knew what Fang’s family meant to him. He could only imagine how much the sight of this monster must be eating him up.

    Eating…

    Eating...

Michel felt ravenous. It wasn’t a hunger sated by food, it was a hunger, a need. Something unreachable. It didn’t matter if he had food back home, his stomach felt like it was rotting. It didn’t matter if he had emergency snacks, nothing mattered.

Lysithea didn’t like this, but neither did he.

Ilse was guarding Fang, which was better than he could do. She had a kinder hand than he did, and he was better suited for blood and battle, anyway.

He didn’t know what seeing this creature, this last ‘living’ creature, attacked–killed?–might do to him.

It was already tearing him apart.

Michel knew Ilse, she could take care of herself. Fang could, too. Most days. Now, he just wanted to make sure.

There wasn’t so much distance between where those two were and where he and Lysithea were. He caught her gaze and knew he didn’t have to say anything. She’d understand where they were needed most.

He didn’t use his magic often, but better that than Fang see him trying to hack at his would-be family. He caught Ilse’s eye briefly but he moved between her and the rotten giant. He lifted his clock hand, ready to swing, but he didn’t have to. Yet.

Instead, he just channeled his magic.

If it was rotting so much, let it dream of death, too.

    Quote:
Targets caught in the magic are trapped in an illusion where they are forced to watch the world around them wither and die; in the illusion, any biological creature rapidly age until it dies, at which point it will appear to crumble and decay. Inorganic objects, such as buildings, will appear to dilapidate as the magic progresses. The magic appears in the target’s head rather than the environment; if someone leaves the radius the magic stops and if someone enters the radius they will be affected. This can cause a sense of fear or anxiety; the illusions may cause an extreme disconnect and be mentally jarring. The illusion may also make the target physically feel as though they are dying. The magic can be channeled for 45 seconds and there are no lingering effects unless the player wishes to have residual flashes or hallucinations of death and decay throughout the rest of the battle.

Yvoire, Squire of Ganymede
HP: (75-15) 60
Damage: (10 + 2d6 [6 + 1]) 16
Action: Spraying the zombie wolf with molten gold

Yvoire moved toward his friends and returned Ephsus’ hug, but they didn’t have time for many greetings beyond that. He shot a small smile at Amarynthos, Dering, and Dering’s friend (Lisse), then it was time to go. They were whisked away to another world before anything more could be said.

It wasn’t like fighting a youma, which they could track with some effort, and send off to wherever it was youma went to when they turned to dust. It wasn’t like a Negaverse agent either; they were dangerous but somewhat predictable in the way humans generally were. It wasn’t even like Urania, where they’d separated into groups and gotten the Observatory back into working order before facing off against the Chaos robot cat woman.

They appeared on Fang, and before Yvoire even had a chance to take in much of their surroundings, they were attacked by a great wolf.

The creature was horrifying—dead or dying, with missing flesh and exposed bones. Yvoire hadn’t let go of Ephesus yet and cringed against him, then hated himself for doing so because he didn’t want to be weak or scared.

So he made himself let go. Yvoire stood amongst his friends and felt something ice-cold creeped up on him. Magic? It seemed to seep through him, down into the pit of his stomach, then even further, leaving his stomach empty. He was hungry. So hungry. Hungrier than he’d ever been in his life. Which made no sense because he’d eaten not long before meeting up with everyone.

He had to ignore it. He had to. If it lingered, he’d eat again when he got home. That should help, right? It couldn’t last forever.

Yvoire gripped his parasol, tapped into his own magic, and sent a stream of molten gold at the raging undead wolf.

Quote:

Lisse, Squire of Lysithea
HP: (75-15) 60
Damage: (10 + 2d6 [3+3]) 16
Action: Trying to reassure Dering, remember everyone's names and plan a victory dinner for after this. Using magic on the giant zombie.

Truthfully, Lisse was excited to have been invited to this by Dering. It was nice to know that they could have each other’s backs with issues. He saw Halle there, when they arrived, but tried to ignore his brother, choosing instead to nod and smile to all of Derings’ friends, trying to commit their names and faces to his own memory, but of course…the moment that they were brought up to the homeworld, all of the memorization he was working on went absolutely out the window.

The wolf was huge, and Lisse stared, eyes wide, feeling almost frozen for a moment. He summoned his weapon to his hands and held tight to the unicorn horn hilt. “Dering? How do you want to go about this?”

He watched as one of the friends…Y…vonne? That almost sounded right. Kind of. Not really but close enough attacked and he hesitated, and lightly bumped his hand against Derings. “We got this. Your friend is attacking and I’m going to do the same, at the very least it can’t hurt, right?”

Hesitating slightly, he looked at his friend once again. “Maybe try playing your lute? Maybe that is the key to your magic? If this thing comes at you I’ll do my best to keep you safe okay? We’ve got each other’s backs!” The hunger was…almost overwhelming, and it was very distracting. Almost painful but…they had food in the dorm. They could go to dinner or something as a group! Go to Dennys and just…eat something greasy and good.

Raising his whip into the air, he began swinging it in a circle, channeling his magic at the wolf.

Rose, Page of Lysithea
HP: (50-15) 35
Damage: 8
Action: Sort of but not hiding behind stronger people. Also throwing whatever she can scrounge up at the wolf.

“Nice to meet you, too!” Rose was able to say to Malus just before it was time to go.

Any friend of Reims’ was a delight to meet, especially since Reims didn’t have many of them (at least as far as she’d been able to observe). That Reims had managed to make one more without her knowledge set her at ease. She liked to know that there were other people who cared about him. Reims needed comfort and support; Rose couldn’t be that for him all the time, so it was a relief to know that he could find it elsewhere if he needed to.

Being on Fang, on the other hand, was not a relief. If anything, it made her think that maybe she shouldn’t have come along after all. Not because she was scared (although she was a bit), but because she had nothing to defend herself with and didn’t want others getting hurt trying to help her.

The fact that she was suddenly famished didn’t help matters, but Rose could think beyond it. She could deal with it later. Right now she had to figure out how she was going to get out of this alive without putting anyone else in danger.

Rose took a step back. Malus and all those with him were far stronger than she was (and gorgeous, but now wasn’t the time to be marveling over pastels, sparkly flapper dresses, and sunset colors, and a cute alien senshi with spots and a tail, and a dashing knight in purple, not to mention a whole freaking Princess). They were a lot. Wonderful! But a lot. Rose was very obviously outclassed. So while she didn’t hide behind them, she did sort of duck around behind them so she wouldn’t get in their way!

She took Reims by the arm but didn’t really expect him to fall back with her. All the same, she told him, “Be careful!”

For her part, Rose did the only thing she really could. She scrounged around for something on the ground to throw at the very large and very terrifying wolf.

Lucien - Cat Form
HP: (50 - 15) 35
Damage: (1d6 for Physical) 5
Action: Attacking.

Arriving on Fang’s homeworld meant leaping into action. Quite literally in Lucien’s case. He remained on Alastor’s shoulder long enough to aim his attack at the decaying canine, before launching himself at it with a swipe of his claws, before quickly retreating back to where Alastor and Sessrumnir were.

“Disgusting,” he hissed, shaking off the residue of whatever he’d caught on his claws. He’d been so focused on attacking whatever Chaos there was that he only allowed his other senses to catch up to him while he observed the situation.

There was a heaviness and need to eat. It wasn’t something he’d usually had a problem with, so it was particularly strange.

He wasn’t so worried about himself, but instead turned his focus on Alastor. “Magic?” he surmised. It looked as though many were suffering from the effects of… something.
