Promethei, Page of Mercury
Action: waiting with the bat if anything jumps out of the safe at those fiddling with the keypad

... Great, children.

There was a stunning few reasons why Promethei had never once accepted a position at a high school or even an elementary school, not the least of which being the attendees of those schools themselves. When he was approached by a teenager in a dress who asked if he was certain the technology had been disabled, he replied, hiding exasperation, "If they've done their job, yes," he swapped the shoulder he held the bat over, "but this is mostly to disable things by brute force if necessary."

And oh, did he ******** want to.

... Why did she come with more teenagers? Was it too late to move, because he felt himself glancing toward the stairs with some mild curiosity as he saw them disappearing toward the offices--

Was it necessary? It seemed like the teenagers were intent were hacking the damn thing. If it was still locked, though, maybe it was on a different circuit or part of a different system. It was foolish, though, to just start beating at it with no real reason to just yet; probably better to see if the thing just popped open. "Might be partially on a backup circuit," he muttered, dryly, when one of them implied the tech team hadn't done their job. "Clearly something fu--," <********>, "chaotic in there."

Ugh.

"Well, if you can get the door open, ready to knock some bitches," s**t, were these the teens told they "couldn't cuss" or were these mouthy bitches--, "out. Or I can beat the door open if that," ffs, "stuff isn't working."

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter
Choice: Office - Right towards the aura

Sessrumnir was trying not to look visibly agitated by all of this. He was already rubbing his temple because there were people running around with bats and most of the kids ran off to the safe, but it was fine. They were going to help and they would all get out and they would find a way to piss off the Negaverse.

As long as their General Sovereigns didn’t decide to pop in to check on things.

“They’ll be okay,” he repeated Alastor, more to convince himself than anything. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Ephesus and Amarynthos and their friends… he didn’t trust the others. And that was why he and Alastor were there in the first place.

Except now he had to worry about a strange aura suddenly popping up.

He cursed under his breath. If there was a Captain there, it would be easy for them to feel everyone’s auras and then they could just teleport back to alert everyone else.

Sessrumnir’s initial reaction was to turn in that direction anyway. If they could stop the Captain from ruining their investigation then it would hopefully give the others time to investigate further.

But seeing a young Page of Ganymede rush off in the same direction had him cursing a bit less under his breath.

“Ganymede gave me a heads up about that one. She hasn’t had time to introduce him to Effie and Mary yet, but he’s apparently one of my students,” he quickly told Alastor as he made to follow the teenager. He recognized what Ganymede told him to keep an eye out for. The hair, the hat, the outfit -- it all fit.

Yvoire,” he called as he followed after him, because he had to stop the kid from rushing into danger somehow, even if it meant having to explain how he knew him -- which shouldn’t be too difficult given Ganymede’s request.

Stromboli, Page of Uranus
Action: to the left, to the left--

There was a faint, derisive whuff of air from Stromboli's nose. "I work for a private firm for a reason." The last thing a bank needed was a malevolent force behind it. Somehow, the moniker 'Negaverse' didn't summon the imagery of joy and peace on Earth. More 'comic book villain', even though there was nothing comic book about what they did to unsuspecting people.

Maybe it was the 'Nega'.

Maybe.

As he and Abzu entered the hallway, the feeling of a Captain's aura caused him to momentarily freeze. At least, he was pretty sure it was a Captain. It felt the way his son had said it would. He glanced first to Abzu, then to the others coming up the stairs with them. A group of them broke off toward the aura, and Stromboli took a moment to deliberate if he'd go to provide an extra set of hands or keep going to make sure there were no civilians caught in the middle of things.

The image of an innocent person under attack or being drained against their will made up his mind.

"Let's keep looking for people." He jerked his head to the left and turned his body for his long strides to carry him that direction.

Alastor, Eternal Senshi of Despair
Going to the Right, towards the Aura

Alastor raised a brow when Sessrumnir explained that he knew Yvoire, technically. He’d already planned to stay with Sessrumnir through all of this; if something went wrong, he wanted to have his back. They were a good team, and the faster they handled the Chaos signature, the faster they could go back to grabbing information.

There were a fair number of people heading in both directions already–though, he was distracted briefly by the sight of a Senshi that did not look human.

His attention didn’t linger on Fang but he filed away the information for later.

One of Michael’s students was here. And the rest of the kids were somewhere else, so of course he was going to go into protective mode and look after this one. Not that Alastor was going to argue. He’d seen a very small senshi earlier and been tempted to keep an eye on her. She’d picked up a baseball bat, but all he could do was hope that whatever path Drakonia went, she had someone to keep an eye on her.

The nagging voice in the back of his head said that if they took care of the Captain that was here, maybe there wouldn’t be any danger to the rest of them.

He didn’t like the message that they’d heard broadcast, but it was all the more reason to stay on edge. If Sessrumnir knew Yvoire–at least, in the classroom–he trusted that he’d know how best to talk to him. Alastor didn’t mind playing backup and keeping an eye out for things while they moved towards the signature.

Abzu, Squire of Neptune
Action: everything you own in a box to the left~

He could tell Stromboli felt the same thing he felt once they got up the stairs. There was a captain there, and with the way the aura came to life, he was fairly sure the captain probably knew they were there. Unless they were up to some nefarious other Negabull without the presence of the rest of them there, they probably only had so much time to act.

Which meant Stromboli was right.

"Agreed," murmured Abzu. The ones who had instinctively started moving toward the aura could handle it. If anything, that captain was about to get a lot more than they bargained for, considering knights and eternals were headed in that direction. They were a page and a squire who barely fought. If anything, they'd get in the way.

Whoever was innocent who may have still been inside was more important than that aura.

"We can look around while we're in those offices, too." If they didn't find anyone directly, maybe they could find out about some people. The Negaverse ran this bank, after all, so they clearly employed some Negaverse. The offices felt like the right place to look for signs of that. "If anything, maybe we can find some information on the people behind this."

He paused before his lips tilted upward to the faintest smirk. "Or just wreck the offices of some capitalist soul-stealing agents."

Illyria
Action: going to the Right (towards the aura)

Illyria peered towards Ida's friend Fang before lifting a paw up in a small wave to the senshi that Ida indicated. It was rather intriguing how these new senshi kept being drawn to Earth but she wasn't going to comment on anything right now. Instead she kept her gaze facing forward as the 'aura' registered on her senses and she tensed. Fur bristled on her neck before she let out a quiet sound, almost a frightened growl before hearing what Ida was saying.

It was a good idea to try and dampen the auras of Ida and Fang and she was willing to do so but other people were apparently on the same path and she felt the strain before sighing. "I could dampen your aura and Fang's but with everyone else it'd be a strain."

Illyria sniffed before feeling suddenly exposed. Was this really an aura of the enemy? Why wouldn't they have already sounded an alarm? Being outside wouldn't have made the crush of order signatures undetectable. Concentrating on where the aura was coming from before tapping Ida's cheek, "Wouldn't someone who was already inside, be able to sense everyone here already?"

Stirling, Squire of Lysithea
Try to open the Safe

Stirling watched as the others descended on the keypad and again idly wished that she had grabbed one of the bats. It wouldn’t help her with banging the safe open but…it might have been at least somewhat useful to try and pry it open.

Her eyes flickered to the only adult among them and she almost felt a little gleeful at the fact that he looked…unhappy that he was with a bunch of teenagers, but then again. He seemed to be censoring himself and that…

God that was annoying. “Look dude. You’re the tallest one here, and I know that you must think that you’re the strongest. You can say ********, we’re not infants, and I’m sure we’ve all heard worse than that by now. You’re only a page so I get why you must think that you’re not going to be good at anything, but maybe come help me try to open the door? Don’t just stand there and watch us doing everything, yeah?”

She shot a look at Cynthus and half grinned, half rolling her eyes. She’d get it, she was sure, and honestly, the one other Page had the right idea asking why the guy with the bat wasn’t helping to open the door. “Mary, do you wanna help me with the door too? You’re stronger than I am, maybe we can do something. Especially if the others can do something with the keypad.”

Her hand was still clutched around Derings and she squeezed it gently. He could make his own decisions but, she would love his help.

Dering, Page of Lysithea
Choice: Hovering by the safe to help

Dering wasn’t sure if the adult there wanted to be there. Or, be there with them. He was very sensitive to things, he knew. He saw tension and hostility when there wasn’t any. He was overcautious on a regular day, and now it was twice as bad. Worse. Maybe he was just tense because he didn’t know anyone but Stirling.

He tried to stay out of the way; he had nothing worth contributing, anyway. Well! No, he was here! He was ready to do anything he could to help! He just didn’t have enough strength to bust open a safe, nor did he think he had the expertise to try and help with the pinpad.

Especially because everyone else was working on it–and Reims seemed so confident that he could get it in less than five minutes!

Stirling was a bit brash and certainly bolder than he ever could have imagined being. He flashed Promethei a polite little smile, hopefully reassuring. He was a page, too, and definitely felt out of place and out of his element.

At least he had her to hide behind though. And it’s not like she was going to go far if she was going to open the safe! He stayed out of the way, prepared to help open it but not quite sure how to help.

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon
Choice: Wants to try turning the wheel to open the safe

Amarynthos pursed his lips thoughtfully as he looked at the large door to the safe. The pinpad didn’t seem like it was working like it should be, but that didn’t mean they could get in any more than it meant it would keep them out.

He wasn’t so sure that brute force was going to have any impact on the door. He’d seen movies, even bombs couldn’t pop the door out of the frame or dent it. Well, in big banks. Admittedly, he hadn’t done a lot of research on this bank so he didn’t know all the fancy safe or security details.

But, he trusted that the team that came before them would have done everything in their power to open things up.

“Kind of weird that there’s some Chaos in there though, yeah?” It didn’t feel like a person or a youma, not so far as he could tell. “Do you think they’re marking cash with it or something?”

He wasn’t asking anyone in particularly, but they were here as a group–even though Promethei was the odd one out. Amarynthos didn’t mind; as far as he was concerned, they were all here for the same goal so he was considering them all his team in this.

Stirling was a bit more blunt with her words than he would have been, but he was a goody two-shoes for the most part. He didn’t care so much about language; he was around boys his age all the time and they had plenty of foul things to say.

“Yeah, I can help there.” He smiled at Effie reassuringly before he stepped closer to the safe. It wasn’t far from the keypad so it wasn’t like they were separating, just working this thing from different angles.

“What if we don’t have to bash it open? I mean, I don’t think hitting it’s going to do anything. I’ve had good bats, but I don’t think they make anything strong enough to break through–what, steel? I don’t know what they make these doors out of, I don’t watch enough bank heist movies. But even if it’s only concrete, I don’t think it’s possible to bust it up with a bat.”

He hadn’t tried to see how much damage he could do with his Knight powers, but still. He agreed with Cynthus, it didn’t seem like the bat alone could make much work of the door.

He eyed the door to the vault and chewed on his cheek for a second before he stepped towards it. “Nobody tried to turn that wheel to see if it'll open yet, have they?”

It felt like the equivalent of not trying the doorknob before trying to bust down the door; if it didn’t open, no great loss. But if it did, it would save them a lot of time trying to figure out the rest.

…Although, he wasn’t even sure what they were looking for. He mostly just wanted to make sure the Chaos in there wasn’t going to hurt anyone.

He moved towards the door and seemed ready to try that if there were no objections. He was friendly enough, and in a good mood. He didn't want to create a rift between anyone in the group so he smiled optimistically at Stirling and Promethei the same.

Yomi-no-kuni, Squire of Saturn
Action: Going right

Yomi mulled over the audio recording that came over the speaker. He could think of alot of possibilities for what would require impressive technology and alot of energy, none of it was good. He was glad they had found this place when they did, hopefully they could shut it down before what they were trying to do here was completed.

Then an aura flared to life, a captain. He didn't worry about the captain alone, he was pretty sure on his own he could take a captain let alone with all of there fighters including a princess but if a Captain was either here as a civilian or teleported in, that could mean they could call for backup and soon they would be feeling other chaos auras appearing. He looked towards Ida as she suggested a guardian cat whom he was not familiar with dampen there aura. Unfortunately apparently the cat could not dampen everyone's aura.

"My aspect allows me to blend into the shadows and move silently. If you dampen my aura I could scout ahead and try to subdue the captain from stealth." He suggested.

Promethei, Page of Mercury
Action: irritated, taking it out on the safe door

Being addressed again by one of the damn babies--and she was a baby, in his opinion, considering she wasn't yet over eighteen--made him sigh internally. Okay, whatever, she was sassy, she had probably heard worse, but the last thing he needed was her ******** parents coming after him for whatever s**t came out of his mouth.

He tapped his foot and took in a deep breath.

"I know you're not ******** infants," groused Promethei, finally, giving up on censoring himself for swear words, at least, if she was going to push the issue. "And also don't think I'm not good at anything. Was gonna let you guys have your finessed route and take out whatever chaotic s**t came out after it opened."

He glanced toward Amarynthos going for the safe's opening wheel.

"But fine. If you move, I'll bash that wheel in."

Breaking that knob right off might give them a way to force it open--

Super Sailor Fang, Senshi of Chrysocyon
Action: going to the right

Fang nodded, smiling at Illyria and greeting her quietly. He stayed silent as they moved to the right, letting the others lead. He could follow directions easily. He desired to go after the Captain aura and thrash whoever t was, but it reeked of a trap.

"Aura seem like trap," he suggested. "Careful. Lot of unknown smell, but many people here are stranger to Fang, so means little."

Stirling and Promethei tried to open the door through force, but this was not very effective on its own. The door dented, but it held.

Reims, Ephesus,
and Cynthus fiddled with the keypad, which seemed to work better.

It made some very glitchy sounding noises, high pitched beeps and cut off squeaks. Then, it seemed to shut down entirely, and Amarynthos and anyone else who was fiddling with the wheel or pulling at the door would find that it had unlocked itself.

The inside of the safe was fairly boring. There was no gold. There were no piles of money. At least, there was no money piled up obviously on the floor, like there might have been if this was a cartoon about bank robbing.

What there was were lockboxes. A lot of lockboxes. People could rent one to keep valuables in, and it was possible that some of that money was kept in another. These also had physical locks, not digital. If they wanted to get inside, they were going to have to get rougher.

The strange Chaos feeling was still there, near the back.

The group upstairs had found evidence talking about Box 51, which seemed to match up with the feeling.

Did they try to Open Box 51? or did they Try to open a box near the front and see what else they could find?

---

Anakeion, Tjilaki, Tortuga, Stromboli, and Abzu chose to go to the left.

They found themselves in a very nice office. It was sort of the textbook look for the sort of office that a financial professional would have. There were fidget toys for nothing other than entertainment, frames displaying degrees, shelves with a few interesting knickknacks, and lovely wooden lacquer on the furniture.

There was also a desk.

The most obvious thing to investigate here was a drawer that had been, at one point, sealed behind an electronic lock.
The first thing in there was a sticky note that said, in handwriting that was different from some of the other around the desk, quotas needed- will take a month and a half if we put 20 lieutenants on it.

Underneath that were a large amount of tally marks, at least 50.

At the bottom, it said Box 51.

There were also some flash drives in there.

There wasn’t much time left before they were meant to get out of the building. Did they take the flash drives? or Take the papers on top of the desk?

Mira, Ida, Sessrumnir, Alastor, Illyria, Fang
and Yomi-no-kuni chose to go to the right.

This office was full of cubicles. Some were decorated cutely, with family pictures and tiny stuffed animals in them. Some of them seemed to have the more minimalist style.

It was not empty.

The Captain had short dark hair and bright eyes that widened in surprise a bit when she saw the sheer amount of people coming through the door to this part of the offices. She’d heard the footsteps, and powered up out of instinct, but the auras had been dampened and now she was taken aback.

For a second, she froze like a deer in the headlights, her small mace held tightly in her hands.

Then she started to reach for a communication pen, at her side.

Did the group attack? Or did they ignore her and focus on trying to find evidence in the room?

Super Sailor Fang, Senshi of Chrysocyon
Action: ATTACK

The moment they saw the Captain in the room, Fang could no longer help himself. With a snarl, he leapt forward, hands extended, ready to rip the communication pen from her and push her to the ground.

There was no thought. Just protect.

Stromboli, Page of Uranus
Action: taking the flash drives! and stealing some of Adam's fidget toys

"We need to keep mess to a minimum." Something about the way Stromboli said that to Abzu didn't seem to be actually discouraging. "If the people here are innocent, we don't want to mess their things up too badly." But there was a lightness to his step and a curve to his lips as he never paused or faltered and stepped right through the door.

Even as assaulted as his eyes were by glittering frames and glass and metal polished to a gleam.

Stromboli had his own office at the building rented and occupied by his and Gregor's accounting firm, of course. He even used it most of the time, despite his fondness for his home office. His style had never been this... gaudy, though. Ostentatious. Diplomas, trophies--what kind of trophies did a banker even have.

No matter--he was letting himself get distracted. His eyes scanned over the names and alma maters without really reading them as Stromboli turned his attention to the very time-sensitive task at hand.

He went first to the desk, pushing the name placard off with idle pettiness and not reading it, either, as his other hand fiddled with the knobs on the desk to try and get it open. The electronic locks being disengaged was very helpful to his effort of opening the desk and carefully rifling around it.

That was a lot of papers.

"'Quotas'?" he read aloud. "Looks like they were tallying something." He frowned. From what he'd gathered this far, the most likely targets were energy or starseeds. With it being discrete totals, Stromboli was rather worried that it was the latter.

They needed to grab what was in there.

"There's also a reference to Box 51? And some flash drives--"

Flash drives were useful. He wouldn't want to put them on his computer in fear of some super mega virus--one of the first rules of cybersecurity, after all--but of all the things that he could grab fast and get out of there, it was those. Stromboli went for the flash drives. There were enough other people in the room that they could divide and conquer the paperwork.

Idle pettiness reared its head as he swiped the fidget toys while he was at it.

Eternal Ida
Action: attacking; trying to restrain the captain before she can use her pen and keep her from teleporting

”I know, Illy, do the best you can. Even a little helps.” She murmured to the cat on her shoulder. “At least it’ll help disguise how many of us there are. If we see someone, you can drop it, it won’t be much use any more.”

Every little bit helped, right? She could hope. Ida nodded at Fang’s mention of a trap. It was possible, more than possible, and they’d need to move carefully going forward.

“Keep an eye out. We can at least keep whatever it is busy while the others go through the rest of the offices.” She said softly. Keeping all her inner and outer senses spread to catch anything, Ida moved into the office with caution. There! that was the captain they’d felt. A glance showed she was alone, but that wasn’t going to last for long. As Fang rushed her, Ida was close behind, intent on making sure that pen got removed and the girl restrained. She didn’t quite know how many people a captain could teleport, but maybe if they dog piled her, or knocked her out… an unconscious officer wouldn’t be able to tell them anything, but the safety of the others was first priority. Info could come after.
