Azura stopped a few steps before Ryker, noticing the blonde female faunus facing them with weapons raised. She figured once the woman realized they weren't another grimm weapons would be lowered. What she didn't expect was Ryker to suddenly shout 'RIKKU' and looking about as shell shocked as she had felt when he started complimenting her....if a bit less red in the face. 'Ryker?!' Apparently he wasn't the only one shocked, though Azura had no clue who either Rikku or the other girl was. Azura followed Rikku's gaze over to a tree with a badly damaged poster stuck to it. Somehow, between the hair and the tail and the way the girl reacted to seeing Ryker, Azura thought that was meant to be Ryker, even if the face and most of the body had been taken out with weapon strikes.
It was hard not to stare at the collar around the wolf faunus's neck. Why would she wear such a thing? Certainly, some thought all faunus should be chained up, but that seemed like an argument for her to not wear a collar. "Hello, my name is Azura...." Azura froze mid-sentence, hand partly outstretched towards Ylva for a handshake, as Rikku asked what 'number' she was. Face burning crimson it wasn't hard to figure out what Rikku was implying. "I...no....we are doing extra credit together!" She said in a rush, her voice high pitched and panicked.

Sure, in his mind finding a few girls in distress was one of the better options. After all, you get thankful girls and look better by extension. But his sister being one of them...that almost seemed to be the worst case scenario. 'Please be merciful sis.' Was all that Ryker could think with his hands up. Thankfully, she was as equally shocked as he was and lowered her arms...meaning Ryker no longer had death staring him in the face at least. Of all the people to run into...he still found it surreal it ended up being his sister. And that they got lucky enough Azura noticed what was going on to help them out. He loved his sis...even if he feared her too. Shortly after he yelled her name in surprise, she did so as well. It was almost comical, all they would've needed was Azura yelling her name out too to complete the scene. Ryker was still just overwhelmed mentally though, so even with the brief pause after he could do little to actually come up with something to say. 'Fancy meeting you here sis...How've you been...Are you ok...' Too many questions and thoughts in his mind for him to really voice any. That was when he noticed her eyes look away from him to a tree with a shredded poster on it. He couldn't tell what the target was originally, but that at least explained why she was out here. 'Why does everyone act like the outskirts are the safest place to be...though i'm one to talk.' He thought to himself with a sigh as he let out a long breath, and took a deep one in to try and calm himself. He needed to when with his sis at least. It was all too easy for him to end up with her ire...and regret everything.
It was then that Ryker found his attention drawn to a beautiful girl with ebony hair and obsidian eyes...who was also significantly shorter than him too, not that he minded. He often forgot how tall he was sometimes, even to his twin sister. 'Though she is far more intimidating and strong than me.' He thought to himself, an internal shiver at the thought if she was as tall as him. He only realized she was even there because she greeted them with a hello, causing him to get a bit startled too as his eyes quickly turned to her. It was then too that he noticed a wagging tail, as his own slowly swayed behind him. 'Huh, some type of dog faunus.' He thought to himself, not quite sure what. Could be a wolf or sheep dog, he honestly had no clue except the tail looked dog-like. His sister was certainly hanging out with a well endowed looker though. He was convinced this school was 90% beautiful (if deadly) women and then the rest were the guys, which he wasn't complaining about. He also noticed she seemed to have some kind of collar-shackle thing on her neck. He wasn't sure if that was to stand out or because she was into those kind of things, but he felt it best not to ask for now. As she bowed, he would flash a friendly smile to her and begin to speak. "Hi, I am Ryk- OWWW!" Well...he had started to speak before he was punched, hard, in the shoulder by his sister. He wasn't even sure it was because he was talking to a girl he presumed her to be friends with. A punch to the shoulder that hurt was par for the course from his twin. He would rub the shoulder with his other hand. 'Yea...great timing...' He thought to himself as he rubbed his sore shoulder, as Azura took the chance to try and greet the other girl too. But before she could fully finish, his sister gave him the look that made Ryker freeze for a moment. A moment he really should've used to stop her as Rikku asked what number Azura was.He wasn't sure what feeling went through him at that moment, except that it very much felt like she had said the very wrong thing in this situation. He even winced slightly as she said it. Looking between the new girl and Azura, he could see Azura's face turn red.
'Well...this could've started off better.' He thought to himself with an internal sigh, as a panicked Azura responded that they were doing extra credit together. Thankfully, she seemed far more focused on the implication she was on a date with Ryker than the fact Rikku implied he went on dates with girls very often...and that they were different ones more often than not. Not wanting two plus two to be added quite yet, Ryker quickly intervened in this conversation. "No no, nothing like that sis. We were doing extra credit together for a class, it was how we noticed there was a grimm attacking some students. We ran here as soon as she took the shot." He would explain in a relatively serious voice for once before sighing. "Besides, the beautiful girl is taken." He would offer afterwards, knowing the former may not be enough for his sibling to believe this was not actually a date. And he felt by explaining how they even ran into each other would probably be good to air out already, before things got more confused than they already were. He would then get a smile on his face as he decided to turn the tables on his sis since she had been keen, if not on purpose, to expose him. "What about you? I come running over here to help and find you with a beautiful girl of your own. Do i need to worry about competition from my own sister now." He would say in a teasing voice and rhetorical question, clearly not being very serious about it in that connotation. His eyes would then turn to obsidian eyes, as was his nickname for now, as he gave her a friendly smile. "Sorry about that by the way. Not sure if Rikku has mentioned me already, but i'm her older twin brother Ryker. Pleasure to meet you." He would say with sincerity in voice, and gave his own small bow in return, arms point off to one side as he did to make it seem more fanciful. After the bow, he would look back to her with the same friendly smile before looking to Azura then his sis. Hoping he de-escalated this situation before it got out of hand. He loved his sis but sometimes she really didn't realize what her words could do. Though she knew full well what her fists could do, as his shoulder could vouch. He just hoped things would end friendly enough...Maybe even better if she didn't mess up any chance he had to at least be friends from the faunus girl he only now just met. And that Azura's boyfriend wouldn't want to kill him later. Just living with an intact reputation would be nice actually.
--------- Rikku chuckled at Azura's reaction towards what she had said, her face had gone a shade of red as Rikku tilted her head to look at it. "Don't get yourself into a fuss, I'm only playing.." she said, putting her hand up to acknowledge her. She looked towards Ylva and let out a smile that was extremely short lived after what her brother would continue to say. Rikku let out a noise as if to gagging, he was always trying to be a womaniser, and didn't know if she could handle watching it happen in front of her. "You're going to make all us beautiful ladies sick if you keep going!" she said, as she punched him in his shoulder again. Looking the other way as she didn't want to look at him whilst he was attempting to chat her new friend up, Rikku heard him playfully mention that she might be competition for him. "Lucky for you, there is no competition here.." she said, a playful smirk flashing towards him as her bright orange eyes lit up. "He's older but my god he is not wiser.." she said towards Ylva, ending it with a chuckle as her attention then went to Azura. "You're a pretty damn good shot Azura!" she said, scratching her head sheepishly.

The petite dark-haired girl looked to the human with a calm gaze, not in a challenge but rather out of curiosity when she had felt her eyes upon the collar."What goes through her mind,"Ylva wondered absently. Her attentions then turned to the twins. They seemed to be having a verbal squabble of sorts. Which, personally, would've been handled better with a bit of wrestling. The mention of Extra Credit did catch her ears though.
She would have to look into this Extra Credit, and figure out how to get it. Maybe it would even lead to something entertaining. Coming back down to earth, the wolf girl looked between each speaker with equal calm indifference. She only nodded in silent greeting to the young and flustered human. Her obsidian eyes then turned to the tall young cheetah male."She did. You are the smug prankster brother, Rikku told me about."She replied rather matter-of-factually, tilting her head slightly up to meet his gaze momentarily as her wolfish ears twitched lightly."Ylva,"She answered, introducing herself simply, as she felt nothing more needed to be said before she turned, the collar's chain clinking once again as the wolf faunus turned to finish packing her weapons.

"You're going to make all us beautiful ladies sick if you keep going!" Azura laughed softly. Apparently, this was just how the two siblings related to each other. Trading digs about sleeping around and mildly insulting one another. She could admit that maybe she was even a little jealous. Being an only child, Azura had never had that kind of relationship with someone. "She did. You are the smug prankster brother, Rikku told me about." Ylva added. Prankster?! Her eyes widened a bit after the wolf Faunus's description. She hoped Ryker didn't decide to play a prank on her! He seemed too nice for that, even if he seemed a bit mischevious.
"Oh! Uhh...thank you." Azura answered, not quite sure how to react to the compliment. Her eyes lowered to the ground, and she shifted uncomfortably. "Just lucky really." Some part of her knew it was more than just luck, but wouldn't admitting to such be boasting? She would have to ask Ryker later. He was supposed to teach her how to take compliments but how did you do it without seeming arrogant or rude? "So, what are you two doing out here?" She asked, mostly to change the subject away from herself, but also partly due to curiosity. These forests were dangerous, and they didn't seem prepared to fight the Beowolf. Though if they were joining Beacon as new students that would change soon enough.

'Killjoy.' He silently thought to himself. For whatever reason she couldn't have the patience to let him have some fun and flirt. He put up with her violence all the time though, or so it felt like to him. A random thought of the poor unfortunate soul that ended up with his sis came to mind. 'That guy will be in the hospital every week.' Ryker thought to himself. If she ever ended up with anyone anytime soon. Unlike himself, he wasn't even sure if his sis was remotely interested in dating others yet. And his line of thought would be broken...by another painful punch from his sister. He visibly winced from the punch but managed to hold back making a sound, giving her a glare as he rubbed his shoulder with his other hand. 'At this rate i'm not going to have a shoulder left.' He thought to himself but didn't feel like saying aloud. That was a comment that could sink his chances with the new girl, or maybe not. He couldn't tell if she wanted the tough guy or the delicate kind. Not that it really mattered much, Ryker would be himself, but still. He hoped to at least keep a decent reputation that didn't involve being called punching bag.
As he made his joke about Rikku being competition, he smiled himself when he saw her smirk and claim there was no competition here. "True enough, they'd have to survive being punched by you on a daily basis if that happened." He said with a smirk of his own. He felt it was fair game to call her out on her violence if she was on his flirting. Had she had any boyfriends, or actually did that? He had absolutely no clue, but he wouldn't put it past his sister. As he heard her say he was older but not wiser, his sister would get a neutral look. "So says the twin who got ambushed out here." He would simply retort to her. Were either of them even wise? Probably not. But he at least was aware of more social things than she was. He heard Azura chuckle at the comment though....and wanted to strangle his sister. Bu the knew it would only end with him getting his a** handed to him. He sighed to himself in defeat, before turning his attentions to obsidian. He would see calm indifference in her eyes as she spoke, calling him the smug prankster brother that Rikku told her about. Ryker was momentarily frozen by surprise, not having expected to hear that in the slightest from the silent girl. Her saying it so matter of faculty made him question if it was her or his sister that came up with that assessment...though he was leaning to his sister. She would then introduce herself as Ylva and then...walk away? 'The heck did I do? Or is she just rude.' Ryker questioned to himself. She seemed far more caring of her weapons than she did about talking to him or anyone apparently. He was beginning to think she maybe wasn't worth the effort now but was unsure. One thing was sure though as he would give his sister a long hard look. "So sis, anything else I should know that you think about me?" He would ask, the question fairly obvious to be loaded. And that she was in trouble in the future. While he may fear her, it didn't mean that he was going to let her get away with everything she did. He was still the older sibling.
He would then notice she was conversing with Azura, saying she was a good shot and that Azura was saying it was all luck. Ryker internally rolled his eyes as he saw her stance. 'She really can't take a compliment, not even from another girl.' He thought to himself, knowing he would have his work cut out for him. As she asked what the other two were doing out here, Ryker would walk over beside her and put his hand onto her shoulder without a second thought. "You do yourself an injustice Azura. You managed to nail that thing despite all the trees between us and them, and you were way too focused for it to have been an accident." Ryker would interject, making sure Azura got the credit she deserved for her shot. His hand would be moved off her shoulder by that point. Looking between her and his sis, his mind dismissing Ylva for now, a mischievous look would flash across his face as an idea came to mind. "Say sis...before we came to help I was trying to help her learn how to take a compliment. Care to lend a hand?" He would ask, hoping she would say yes. His sister was horrible with subtlety and as blunt as a person he could think of for the time being. Which was a stark contrast to himself. He was hoping by having her as an extreme her it may help. Or just having a "girls" perspective for this too may be able to help.
--------- Rikku didn't like it when her brother gave her the glare, he rubbed his shoulder and she looked towards the ground with a small smirk on her face. Rikku kicked thin air as she became oddly embarrassed by his next two comments, one more than the other. "I'm not exactly punching them to hurt them.." she thought to herself, then thinking at how maybe her punches were harder than she intended, her brother was sure to have had many bruises over the years from her slight attitude issue and punching. "H-hey!" she said, looking back at him now, evidently easy to wind up. "I was just training out here, nice and quiet when Ylva arrived and then a Grimm decided to ruin the party." she said, resting her hands behind her head as she stretched herself out, her tail stretching out.
Rikku was caught off guard by what both Ylva and Ryker said next, he was smarter than he let on and she knew exactly how to read him. Ylva dropped her right into it, she gave her a glare that pretty much said 'WHY' as she then looked a bit sheepish, putting her hands back down to her side, kicking thin air yet again. Rikku decided to ignore the question, she knew whatever she answered she would pay for in some form of prank later. Although she hated to admit it, Ryker was the best friend Rikku had, she was severely popular at school and had many friends, but Ryker had been with Rikku since she was born, literally. They fought like cat and dog, but she wouldn't have it any other way, and she would never admit to it.
Watching as her brother walked over to Azura, who was clearly quite a nervous individual. She rolled her eyes as he put a hand on the girls shoulder, "Hypocrite.. she mumbled to herself, although Rikku punched people, Ryker was always touching girls, no matter what they were like. She became lost in her own thoughts as she then heard 'sis' being mentioned, Rikku came back to and listened to his question. "How to take a compliment? Isn't that an easy one?" she thought to herself, crossing her arms as she looked to Azura.
Rikku had been complimented all of her life, she smiled at Azura, who had evidently been through some things in her life to be so nervous. "Well, Ryker said you were taken.. the fact that someone wants you to be theirs is compliment enough!" she said, "I suppose just starting with a simple thank you is enough to begin with, someone wouldn't compliment you without meaning it.." she said, flashing Ryker a certain look that he could take as he wished. "And if they don't mean it, you just move on, punch them.. they aren't worth your time!" she added, winking to Azura.

Ylva looked to the young woman when asked what she was doing out here."I was looking for a place to temporarily camp. Then I heard curious sounds,"She answered the human girl. The petite wolf would merely looked to the cheetah girl as she seemed to try and profess innocence of sorts. Though Ylva could be wrong, she only shrugged it off for now."You're the one that described him that way,"Ylva thought as she looked to Rikku then Ryker and Azura before going back to her things while the twins decided to converge on the poor human girl.
Though it was a curious thing to consider since it reminded her of some events back home. Thoughts of her tribe made her place the title of Gentle, to Azura. Her wolfish ears twitched slightly while the others spoke to one another. Smooth talking, she thought absently. Hm, it appeared that it would be unnecessary to say more when something came to mind."Do you know how far Beacon is from here?"She inquired of the trio, looking at them with her wide and dark-colored eyes over her shoulder; the shackle clinking as she did. Her tail swayed slowly as she waited. She had yet to be there, or to even get to Vale actually, now that she thought of it.

Azura gave Ryker a startled look, her wide eyes going to the hand on her shoulder. It was obvious she was unsure of how to react to such a casual and familial gesture. Was she supposed to put her hand on his shoulder in return somehow? She ended up standing stiffly, awkwardly holding Crimson Regret, while her eyes sunk to the floor. The powerful rifle was jarring in the hands of a girl who looked like she wanted to melt through the forest floor at the moment. "I-I guess." Her voice was small and uncertain. She only did what had to be done. It was what any huntsman would do. Rikku and Ylva would be kicking Grimm butt in no time. Azura just had been at the school longer. All of the excuses running through her mind were stuck in her throat as three pairs of eyes looked at her. Then to her horror, Ryker asked his sister to join in in her 'training'.
Rikku crossed her arms and observed Azura, causing Azura to go a few shades redder. Rikku wasn't about to hit on her like Ryker was earlier was she? She wasn't sure if that would be better or worse than when Ryker was doing it, but she knew she didn't want Rikku to hit on her either. However, Azura found herself perking up a bit as Rikku brought up the fact that she did have a boyfriend. She found herself smiling a bit when Rikku told her to just punch anyone who complimented her without meaning it. "But won't people think I'm arrogant if I just say thank you?" She asked. To Azura, saying thankyou meant she was admitting she thought she was a really good sniper.
It was pretty jarring when Ylva spoke up, asking how far Beacon was. Azura blinked, as the seemingly random question interjecting on her 'training'. "It's not far, just a few minutes of walking. We can take you the rest of the way?" Though maybe it was better if Ylva went on her own. Azura was increasingly sure it was her radiating embarrassment that brought the grim so close to the castle walls.

It was always satisfying to score a victory in his eternal war with his sister, even if he still loved her as family. They just had very different views on life at times, which with their personalities led to all kinds of quarrels. But at the end of the day, she was his sister and he would look out for her. 'And make sure we are even.' He thought to himself, planning out pranks for the future for her. And any unfortunate victim caught in the midst of their sibling rivalry. His sis would say how she was out here training, nice and quiet which he highly doubted, and that Ylva arrived followed by a grimm soon after. He sighed to himself. 'I hope she does know there are safer places to train here...' He thought to himself but chose not to comment, given he had come with Azura all the way out here when it wasn't necessary. Obsidian would then say she was looking for a place to camp and heard sounds, probably of his sis training, which led her there. Making Ryker question why everyone thought it was a great idea to spend time in the forest renowned for grimm, let alone camp in it.
Seeing his sis glare at Obsidian as the latter shrugged and went back to what she was doing was a fairly funny scene for Ryker, confirming it was her that gave the girl the impression about him. 'Revenge will be sweet.' He silently thought. If his sis was going to give him that kind of rep when he wasn't around, the prank had to be decent to make them even. Even if he may pay for it later by her punching him. His eyes would remain intently on his sister, noticing her become sheepish and silent. Unlike him, she wasn't quite as good at lying. Which probably was for the better, just not when they interacted with one another. Silver-tongue versus iron-fist, each having an advantage over the other in certain scenarios. His attention was diverted from his sis when he tried to focus on having her help with Azura, mostly because of the effect just having a hand on her shoulder did. It was like she was trying to shrink away, and even as he tried to build her up for her skill she seemed to not quite believe it anything special. Being humble was one thing, not acknowledging your ability was another entirely. His sister was the main reason he was not arrogant or overconfident, even if he took risks that were not likely to succeed a lot of the time. Due to his focus on her, he missed his sister's comment on him being a hypocrite or her eye rolling. For now, the socialite would remain silent and let his sis take over in trying to help Azura. She would make some good points that compliments are usually given when someone deserves it. Giving him a look that he wasn't sure if she was questioning him or accusing, but he chose not to react for now. He knew when speaking would just sink him into deeper trouble.
While her words were having a positive impact on the girl...Ryker wasn't sure telling her to punch those who were insincere was such a good idea. Mostly because he was not sure she could tell if someone was. But seeing it as joking...he hoped it would be taken as such by her and chose not to interject at that point. Azura would then ask if people would think she was arrogant for saying thank you, making Ryker internally sigh a bit. 'You are the last person that would ever be arrogant.' He thought to himself, but smiled as he thought of how to phrase things. "Far from it. People feel good when they can make others feel good, like when someone is complimented. When you say thank you in return, it is not being arrogant. It is accepting a nice act by someone and being nice to them in return by showing you appreciate it." He would explain, sounding smarter than he probably was. At least to himself. He wasn't always the best at explaining things. He just hoped he got it across that accepting a compliment is showing appreciation, which was a nice act to the person complimenting them. He almost added it was only arrogant if she accepted it without showing appreciation, but he didn't want to have her stress every word she spoke. "For example; I think you are a great shot Azura." He would say before turning to his sis. "I think you are a great fighter." And finally he would turn, speaking a bit louder for ylva to hear. "And I think you have beautiful eyes." He would finish before turning back to Azura and his sister...before addressing his sister specifically. "And before you try to punch me, that was sincere. My shoulder can vouch for me at least." He would say, just in case his sister decided to show Azura she could punch him for being insincere. His tail swaying lightly as he was in a bit of a better mood now that he got past his sister giving him a bad rep to girls he hadn't met. It would be around then that Ylva would ask how far beacon was, her shackle making a sound and tail swaying. Azura would be the first to respond, saying that it wasn't far and offering to escort her the rest of the way. Ryker would just nod as she finished. "I wouldn't mind, we covered the basics so far. We could even show you around if you liked?" He would add/ ask before looking to Azura and smiling. "It would also be a better place to put to the test taking compliments. I'm sure all you lovely ladies will be complimented,so Azura can try for her own and see how you two react as well." Ryker would add, actually being genuine here. It would be a good place to put the bit of advice Azura got to the practice. And get them out of here before any grimm showed up. Plus...it would let him know which dorm his sis may have. So he could better plan a prank on her.
