Not far from the school lay a forest forever cast in the season of autumn. There, the trees hid a certain syrup that some might take for granted, that was not what interested one young faunus in particular; though it was most foreign to her, compared to the deserts back home. It was the scent of the small body of water not too far away that perked the canine's interests. Though she had not been in the area long enough to know her way (her guardians having left her to explore for herself), she would get herself quite...lost. She would never say that though."Alright...so it should be somewhere around here..."The petite young woman would mumble to herself. Carrying her spear in her right hand as one would a walking stick as she followed its alluring scent."Yelp!"She cried as she would trip over a root, before rolling and landing on hands and knees.
"How rude!"The young woman would shake her head making the shackle around her neck make a soft tinkling sound as she did. Her sandy-brown ears flopped for a fraction of a second before perking up once more. She would stand once again, dusting herself off before looking around with wide obsidian eyes before spotting where her spear stood upright in the ground ahead."There you are."With a huff, the wolf faunus would march over and pull her spear back out of the pierced ground. The fur of her ears and tail would contrast to her long and healthy ebony hair that was a bit dirty now from the ground. She paid it no mind as she would continue of her way. Eventually coming to the small watering hole and setting down on her knees alongside it."What natural beauty,"She thought in awe, distracted at this moment as she would look into the clear pool, mesmerized.

A war cry could be heard not far from the waterfront, a little deeper into the forest. One of the newest students to join the Academy was training in amongst the orange shades of the trees surrounding her. The young girl was using a tree as target practice, a picture of another young Faunus who looked strikingly similar to her was pinned up on it, several cuts and tears on the paper. She was standing at a distance, holding her sharp looking blades as she then threw them at the tree, using the picture as her focus.
"Come onnnnn, take his smug face down" she said, as she then threw her blade towards it, it landing right inbetween the faces eyes in the picture. She jumped in the air and made a loud celebratory noise, "YES! - Bullseye!" she yelled, jumping around in a circle as she then walked to collect it from the picture. "Who knew his dumb face would make for good practice?" she said.
As she took her blade from the target, she almost stopped to look at the picture, if only for a brief moment. The Faunus girls bright, piercing orange eyes smirked, as she walked backwards again to begin her aim. "Don't get yourself into too much trouble bro.." she said, as she then threw a blade at it again, this time only landing it at the chin.

Giving in to temptation, the wolf faunus would cup her hands and scoop up the clean and pure life source. It would being cold and enlivening down her throat (and maybe some down her chin) before making a small sound of pleasure; savoring the taste of such a pure essence. She would then shake herself completely, snapping out of her trance. Ylva's ears would perk at the sounds of yelling a little ways more into the forest. Curious, she would grab her spear and carefully stand with a stretch.
"Hmm."The petite young woman smiled slightly before heading towards the sound and scent of the female-sounding voice. It had sounded so...enthusiastic, and it almost made her want to pick up her pace, but she refrained. Who was this person yelling for? Who were they attacking? She hoped these questions would be answered soon.
As she neared another clearing of sorts, the wolf girl took in the scene just a yard (3 feet) from where she now stood. Dark eyes betraying her amusement even as her facial expression was carefully blank, though curious. Tilting her head to the side, she would observe the feline faunus who seemed very energetic with her...practice?"What are you doing?"She asked calmly."It's another student!...Right?"The petite young woman thought in her mind as she looked to the taller female.

Rikku walked to retrieve the blade from her brothers face on the tree, the bright amber eyes moved from the tree to the young girl who had now appeared in the area. She smiled and lifted one of the blades up, gesturing to the tree. "Just getting some target practice in.. wanna try?" she said, holding out the blade to the wolf who was only a few feet away. Rikku's eyes went to the spear that the girl had, she struggled to understand why a girl of such small stature would need such a big weapon.
Rikku's long, slim tail swayed in the wind. She examined the girl before she then looked back at the picture on the tree, scratching her head sheepishly as she realized it must now look weird. "Oh!" she said, laughing with embarrassment. "That's my brothers face up there! Smug fella pranked me just the other day so I thought his face would be useful for a target!" she said.

The young wolf tilted her head slightly as she watched the feline faunus before amber eyes turned on her. Ylva did not show fear as the woman approached, the young woman was not a threat after all. In fact, she seemed to be quite friendly, making the girl smile in response to the tall girl's."I see."The petite young woman replied, before she too glanced at her spear before turning to a close-by, yet faceless, tree and rested said spear against it.
She was amused by the girl's reaction as she seemed to realize it might seem odd for such a picture. As Ylva set her bag and other weapons by the tree with her spear."So, taking out stress on the tree instead,"She concluded."So, sibling squabbling...Why not just wrestle it out?"Ylva then smiled to the tall feline."I would like to watch for now,"She answered the previous question asked of her, though the wolf girl was curious to see the young woman's skill.

Rikku kept a close eye on the girl, her golden orange eyes were a fierce pair to be watched by. She watched as she dropped her things beside a tree and calmed a little, thankful that she was now evidently of no threat. Rikku excitedly nodded and smirked, "Sure - I'm getting better at getting it right between the eyes!" she said, confidence in her expression.
Rikku chuckled, "All the prankster does is cause me stress!" she said, pointing to the picture that now had many holes in it from her blades. Rikku made sure the girl was out of the way of the blades, and stood at a distance, breathing deeply and slowly to concentrate. "Hyah!" she yelled, as she spun the blade towards the tree, it impaling into the picture, however only at his chin. Rikku shrugged, "His chin was annoying me anyway.." she said, looking back to the young faunus female now.
"So, what's your name?" she asked, her head tilted in curiosity. "The names Rikku, I've yet to be beaten in a race!" she said, confidently putting a thumbs up towards the girl.

The young faunus felt close eyes on her, feeling the other female might be uneased by the sight of her weapons. Which made sense as they did not know one another nor what the other had in mind, that and they were in a forest. She would then turn back and look to the tall young woman curiously as she mentioned getting closer to getting the picture between the eyes. The canine faunus only tilted her head slightly to the side like a confused pup at that.
"I see. Then why not challenge him to a match?"The petite wolf girl suggested. It was something in her tribe she was used to for settling a dispute, then all was usually forgiven. The thought made her momentarily melancholy before she focused on the girl again as she had hit her brother's chin. She smiled in amusement but tried to resist a chuckle; not wanting to offend the armed girl. At the mention of the cheetah faunus' name and inquiry, her obsidian eyes narrowed slightly before her expression relaxed to calm and smiled slightly."Ylva,"She replied, introducing herself with first name only. Taking a seat, she would wish to continue to observe Rikku's skill with the knife."We shall see about that,"Ylva thought as she would ponder if she really should challenge the girl to a race sometime. Rosenburg would refrain for now.

Rikku chuckled, "We fight probably every single time we see each other! she said, rolling her eyes. "Well, I fight whilst he attempts to hide.." she said, looking into the sky for a brief moment, she hated to admit it but she actually missed the prankster. Coughing to try and cover the little moment of weakness, she shook her head. "He'll be getting himself into all sorts of trouble!" she added, as she threw her blade at the tree, it just landing above his right eye in the picture.
Rikku walked to gather her blade again from the tree, the girl only introduced herself by name and nothing more. A smirk appeared on Rikkus face, the girl obviously wasn't up for sharing much about herself, something Rikku felt uncomfortable with. She turned back around, her amber eyes examining her. "I bet she's from one of these Tribes.. they are always super awkward about sharing details.." she thought to herself, thinking of how open her family were compared.
"So, you a student somewhere?" she asked, attempting to make some sort of conversation with her.

Ylva nodded slightly at the mention of fighting almost every time they saw one another. So they were those kinds of siblings; it made her think of a couple children she had been raised with in her youth. Of course, to most she was still a youth herself. Her obsidian eyes quietly observed the girl again with the feline features with curiosity."You should see him soon enough. No?"
The petite wolf girl tilted her head slightly as the tall young woman threw another dagger at the picture. Visibly impressed as it hit the eye her eyes turned back to the young woman. The smirk confused her. What joke was in this girl's head? It did not occur to the tribal girl that it was her lack of words that unsettled her new acquaintance. For now though, she would just mentally shrug it off. At Rikku's inquiry of school, Ylva nodded in response."I am just starting at,"She paused as she had to think about it again."What did Aunt and Uncle call it again?...Oh right,"Ylva seemed to have an "Ah-ha!" moment before looking to Rikku."Beacon Academy. What about you,"She replied, inquiring in return, genuinely curious of this girl.

That was when he lunged on that one that was based on the same animal as him. If he got the tackle on the woman, he would attempt to wrap his jaws around her head.

Flashing a brief, but confident smile towards Ylva Rikku nodded. "Yeah, we should see each other soon!" she said, a hopeful tone to the young Faunus's voice. Listening to her, she seemed to almost forget the name of the academy, a small smirk appeared on her face, she was just glad to see that Ylva seemed real enough, none of this god complex stuff going on.
"AH cool!" she said, a little out of the blue. Rikku rested her hands behind her head after she had placed her weapons back in their belts. "I've just started there too, we will probably be in some classes together!" she said, obviously unaware of the fact that they would be spending more time together than she thought.
"So, how far-" Rikku's question would have to wait, she was not expecting any more company. Turning her head she watched as the Grimm launched itself straight for Ylva. Her reflexes were good, but not THAT good. Taking her left sword from its belt, Rikku threw it straight for the Grimm, attempting to either distract it's move or knock it off course a little. She was ready for a fight, a smirk appeared on her face, she become more excited than she should - after all, this beast could rip them both to shreds with ease. "Look out!" she yelled, as her short sword flew towards the Grimm, unsure of where it would hit or even if it would as she began to move towards them.

Ylva smiled slightly, genuinely pleased to hear that she would be seeing the energetic feline more since they would be going to the same location. Though her focus would be pulled away as her ears twisted around. There was something with them. This was only confirmed when she saw Rikku's concern. She would close her eyes as a sienna aura grew brighter around her, growing ever brighter as the sword was thrown."Close!"The petite wolf girl shouted before a blinding sienna light would envelope a ten-feet radius from Ylva herself.
Even with her eyes closed she was relying on her other senses as bright spots danced with darkness; an obnoxious downside to her semblance, but useful. She would duck, roll for her bag, and feel for her spear. Her hearing focused on the activity around her, she would then roll to stand with spear securely in both hands before whirling to strike where she thought she heard their attacker. Though the brightness against her eyelids prevented from seeing anything more than shadows."Damn, where is it!"A low growl escaped under her breath. Ylva was not sure whether she would hit or not, but at least she had that surprise up her sleeve. Even if she were to open her eyes when the light faded, she would still be disoriented by bright sienna spots that hindered her sight.

XXXThe Beowolf took the sword to the side of it, however, it didn't cause too much damage to it. It had prey that it wanted to get. It would roar a little when the light blinded it, however, it's sense of smell let it follow the wolf it wanted. The spear would cause a warm liquid to fall on Ylva. The blood of the Grimm. It would then reach a paw towards her, attempting to slash any part of her body.
--------- Rikku watched as her sword made contact, but barely made the Grimm flinch. It continued it pursuit of Ylva, and just as she began to run towards them to help she noticed a bright glow appearing around Ylva. Before Rikku could even respond, she was completely enveloped by a blinding light. Rikku let out a loud sound of pain as she rubbed her eyes, "What the ******** is this?!" she said, as she continued to make groaning noises. Rikku opened her eyes, she couldn't see a single thing, her eyes were sore.
Rikku was useless, she could focus on her hearing, but would still be a hindrance to the fighting. She could hear the Grimm, and was unsure of how to respond. "Ylva! Are you okay?!" she yelled, holding her remaining sword as she stood ready for anything, her breathing slow.
