”Calm down,” Michael said as he let Caspian lead him away from the creepy closet with the weird creature. He had no idea what it was, but losing their head was not going to help them. He could see his brother and one of his brother’s friends getting into one of the dumbwaiters, but there was no way Michael could fit. Thankfully Caspian seemed to realize that and headed towards the services center door.
“Caspian,” he said, pulling his fiance to a stop before they could get too far into the next room. “Cas, look at me,” he frowned, squeezing Caspian’s hand and pulling him around to look at him. “Breathe, okay? Everyone will get out of here. So far this a*****e is just talk.”
He had no idea what might happen, but Caspian was starting to get too worked up. Michael didn’t blame him, but it wasn’t going to help anyone.

RESULTS:
Option One:
You head for the sign that leads to the Distribution center, thinking why not - if it's a step closer to getting out of here, you'll go wherever it takes.
Unfortunately, the moment you reach for the doorknob, you hear a hiss in your ear.
I wouldn't do that, if I were you.
You turn to look back, but nothing is there.
Shrugging your shoulders, you turn back and take hold of the doorknob. As you do, a freezing chill washes over you, as if something was sliding inside of you and making itself at home within your skin.
You release the doorknob instantly, but the feeling doesn't go away. You continue to have this sensation for one additional turn as the spooky spirit clings to your corporeal form.
Option Two:
You crawl into the dumbwaiter because, well, you've got something in common with it: you're both dumb. As soon as you slide yourself into the small box, the door suddenly snaps shut and you realize that you are now trapped inside a very small container. Your fingers try their best to pry open the door, but nothing happens. It sounds like you've been forgotten on the other side as voices begin to fade.
Instinctively, you start to scream and shout to be heard, that maybe someone will come to your rescue but soon enough all sounds but your own screaming are gone.
It feels like hours, your body growing cramped at being shoved into such close quarters. You'll probably be found there days later, dead in a dumbwaiter.
Suddenly the door opens and one of your companions looks at you oddly. According to them, you've only been in there for a few seconds....
Confused and upset, you make your way out of the dumbwaiter and rejoin the group.
Option Three:
You head towards the cafeteria and - what luck! - the swinging door pushes open and you find yourself now in the expansive, fancy cafeteria of Destiny's Star.
Amelia toddles into the cafeteria with the rest of you. She points to the gated off areas - apparently the cafeteria was never officially opened, so the gates that hold it closed are still shut. She tells you this is the only way out, as far as she knows.
Do you...
Option One
Try the gate to the north side.
Option Two
Try the gate to the south side.
Option Three
Stand there and look pretty.

Ildri Lacole - Exit through the Distribution Service Entrance.
Ildri reached for the handle of the distribution entrance when she heard the hiss practically in her ear. She immediately swung an arm up to hit whoever it was that thought they were funny but she hit nothing. There was no one there. “I am hearing things now.” She huffed and grabbed hold of the doorknob.
Instantly a cold sensation enveloped her. As she released the knob it hung around and didn’t dissipate. It was terribly uncomfortable and felt very….odd. Like something was living under her skin. “The ******** was that.” She cursed as she stepped away from the door.
Begrudgingly she joined the others in the cafeteria since she wasn’t getting out of that door.
Crossing her arms she watched as the brat pointed out the gates that could possibly be removed for an exit. Ildri was feeling odd enough and less than willing to put her neck out anymore. Instead of heading to one of the gates to help, she chose to hand back and simply watch.
Caspian did not want to calm down. He wanted to get out of this damned place before they both got killed, or eaten, or mauled, or anything like that. He knew he was getting worked up about it, knew that it wouldn't help to get worked up about it, and couldn't stop himself from getting worked up about it anyway, because that was who he was.
He did, however, jerk to an abrupt stop as Michael stopped walking, tugging him back. Caspian turned somewhat reluctantly to look up at his fiance, his lips pressed together in frustration, trying to ignore the welling sense of panic and dread.
"You do realize that I'll probably get less calm every time someone tells me to calm down," he muttered, but he knew what Michael was saying. Caspian let out a sigh and rose up on his tiptoes, momentarily disentangling his hand from Michael's so that he could reach up and pull him down, pressing a quick kiss to his lips before falling back to his feet again.
"I hope he's just talk," Caspian said, as he took Michael's hand again. "I hope there really isn't anything here."
He took a few more uncertain steps, his other hand reaching for the doorknob in an automatic gesture.
I wouldn't do that, if I were you.
Caspian leapt back as though the door was on fire, letting out a stream of swear words, some of which were more inventive than he'd known he'd learned.
"s**t," he muttered, because now he was entirely certain he was going crazy, Caspian glancing up at Michael before he reached for the door again, fingers wrapping around the handle. A cold chill began to work its way up and down his arm, settling into his skin, burrowing beneath his veins, and Caspian staggered back, gasping, his heart pounding hard, his pulse erratic under his skin.
"s**t ******** s**t ******** what the ever loving ******** - "
He'd made it to the cafeteria without any issues. Basil meandered in, following after Amelia, still holding the IV pole in his hand, and he could see it a little clearer now, clearly broken off from some bed, maybe, or one of the stands. It wasn't much, but it would do for now. And besides, he hadn't really seen anything terrible happen yet, other than just maybe a few mysteriously spooky things.
Basil glanced at Amelia, then glanced at the gates.
"This way, I suppose," he said, after a moment's contemplation, and went towards the northernmost gate.

Rhona is going through the North Gate
Rhona threw herself out of the dumbwaiter with a shriek. So that was a terrible idea. Probably what she got for trying to think outside of the box. Or… inside… of it. Whatever. She shook off whatever panic began creeping up her spine again and pressed on, following the child out into the cafeteria. God, she could drop kick this kid. Use your words she wanted to scream at the kid, shaking her all the while. How much easier would it be to vocalize the correct answers and get everyone out ASAP? She hovered over the child for a moment, actually considering trying to coerce words from the kid but decided against it. She didn’t want the kind to dissolve into tears again and stop helping.
If helping is what you would call it.
Rhona kind of hated that the easy answer was the correct answer. It only doubled her embarrassment over her blunder. Dumbwaiter, how stupid was she? That was the last time she tried to think creatively. Now it was time to try a door. Any door. And pray it led somewhere.
Heading for the Cafeteria seemed to be the right idea, because those doors opened easily, letting the group out into a big open space. Flo wavered at that point, though. There was no easy way out of now, and a choice to be made. Amelia said it was the only way out… but why had she pointed at the dumbwaiter then?
Torn with indecision, Flo cast about for John, her teeth worrying the insides of her lips. Maybe he’d have a better idea where to go from here. She still had her broken phone, but it had thus far not proved very useful.
Orah reached for the door knob… and froze as someone spoke to her. She flinched and spun, her brown eyes wide, but none of the others were close enough to have spoken so softly to her.
What was going on?
Reaching for the door again, she felt a wash of cold slip through her, sending goosebumps running down her arms. Her hand jerked back involuntarily, her heel hitting the oxygen tank she still carried and she stumbled. The coldness persisted, and uneasy outside of her powered form, Orah turned to head back to the group that was making its way into the cafeteria. At least one option had panned now.
How they had a dilemma though… north, or south? The gates had to be opened regardless.
The decision was made rather impulsively and Orah headed for the north gates, hefting her tank onto her hip as she went.
Benji Rhodes [Choosing option three - Poor baby has had one hell of a panic attack ]
Despite the hopeful feeling Benji had when he was smooshed into the tiny space with Peter, it quickly turned to dread as he realized they weren't moving.
"s**t..." He muttered and then turned to try to pry the door of the dumbwaiter open. It stuck fast and didn't budge at all, and that made the already racing heart in his chest beat faster in panic. Again and again he tried to pull it, but failed, and he could hear the people on the other side of the closed door fade into silence while he and Peter were left in utter darkness at this point.
He didn't want to panic, no. Benji tried his best to stay calm and let Peter figure things out because gods knew he wasn't going to be of any help at this point. What use was he here? Was anyone going to find him? Surely he was going to die in this ******** little dumbwaiter but what of Peter? Poor, sweet Peter didn't deserve any of this.
Fingers gripped harder onto the other boy's sleeves, trying his best to calm down but finding no such mercy from his mind. A soft cry left his throat, uncontrolled and edged on by the increasing darkness in his mind and a sense of utter hopelessness.
They were going to die. They were going to die here. And there was nothing to do about it.
Suddenly, the door slid open, and he scrambled out with a relieved sound, reaching back behind him to tug Peter out and wrap his arms around him as tight as he could.
"That... That ******** sucked...." Benji could feel his tears wetting Peter's shirt, and as embarrassed as he felt, it still brought some relief to have the taller boy to hold onto tight for atleast a little bit.

Tom Wolf Option 3
It seemed that everyone else had the same idea he did as they all went into the cafeteria. Luckily it seemed to be pretty empty with nothing in it, which was perfectly fine by him. He didn't need any more scares after than figner thing.
Honestly if one was going to harvest body parts, why not do something useful with them?
However, from what Amelia was telling them, this place hadn't opened yet, which wasn't a surprise, but the only exits were the blocked off gates. Since he didn't know the layout of this building and these seemed to be the only ways to go, he decided to try the north gate.
Michael frowned as Caspian admitted to not calming down the more he was told to, but his worry eased a bit as Caspian pulled him down for a quick kiss. It was better than nothing. His own heart was pounding in his chest and he was trying to remain as calm as possible for the both of them, because he knew it was just Caspian’s nature to get worked up.
“We’ll be okay,” he said to him as they reached for the door.
He heard the voice and nearly jumped back, himself. His arm went around Caspian’s waist to keep him from stumbling over, wanting to keep him close even as they both stepped back.
Something was wrong. Something was weighing heavily over him, and he had a feeling as though it was weighing over Caspian too.
“Come on,” he growled, grabbing hold of Caspian’s hand and pulling him towards the south side of the building. He kept feeling shivers up and down his spine, and he didn’t know what it was or how it got there, but he was very much not wanting to be in the building any more.
He especially didn’t want Caspian or Peter in that building, either.
“Did you see where Peter went? We’re leaving. Right now,” he hissed, panic welling up inside him, even as he tried to keep himself calm for Caspian’s sake.
Peter had paused when Benji pointed out that he had something on his face, but before he could lift his hand to wipe it away, Benji was leaning forward to lick it off for him. To which he sputtered and blushed because that was basically another kiss, and they’d definitely talked about how even though Peter cared about Benji, it just wasn’t what Benji was probably looking for. They were friends and while Peter wasn’t going to shove him away if he wanted to kiss him, or lick him, he was concerned that the other might be getting himself in over his head.
Hell, Peter was in over his head, himself.
“Thanks,” he muttered as he awkwardly lifted the back of his hand to rub at his face anyway, trying not to look too stupid as he squished into the dumbwaiter.
Apparently it was a bad idea, because the stupid thing wasn’t even working. And the door was locked shut.
“Hey! Can someone open this thing?” Peter called out, hoping to be heard from the other side, but that didn’t seem to be working. He could feel panic starting to well inside him, but Benji was reacting even worse than himself. He was gripping hard onto his sleeves, and Peter helplessly placed his own hand on Benji’s shoulder, trying to calm him. They were already close enough that it was going to be very uncomfortable for the both of them crouched together like this.
“Hey, it’s okay,” he tried to calm Benji down, but he could hear the hint of panic in his own voice -
But at that moment the doors were opening up, and Peter let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. He thought, for just a moment, that they might have been stuck in there for forever. Which made no sense, but he couldn’t help the thoughts.
When he finally got to his feet, he put his arms around his friend, holding him against his chest. Benji was much shorter than he was, so he had to wrap his arms more around his shoulders than anything, but he thought it might be best for them both to hold back for a bit until they were able to calm down.
“We’re okay, see?” he promised, even as he kept his arms around Benji’s shoulders, not caring that he was getting tears on his shirt. Peter’s own heart was pounding in his chest, because what if they had been stuck?

RESULTS:
Option One:
You head to the north gate, figuring it would be the closest way out. As soon as you and a few of your companions arrive, you immediately set to sliding your finger through the grates and tug upwards.
A low growl is the first sign that you've chosen wrong. Glancing up, you see a ferocious looking dog-beast and he's looking right at you.
With a sudden charge, he smashes against the gate and starts snarling and snapping at your fingers, which pull back just in time not to get bitten off.
Guess this isn't the way out!
Option Two:
You head to the south side and grab the gate. You realize this was a horrible mistake as a series of jolts zip through you, sending small amounts of electricity through your body.
You manage to pry yourself off the gate with only minimal damage to your heart and sense of feeling. Better, uh, avoid such a shocking experience....
Option Three:
You watch your comrades get scared silly and are grateful that you're a useless bump on a log for once.
Disheartened, all of your valiant efforts in finding a way out are foiled. The speaker system in the four corners of the cafeteria crackle and a familiar voice comes across the speaker system.
It appears you are stuck, at least for the remainder of the night. A few of your comrades glance around the rather empty looking cafeteria for other ways out and possible nutrition.
Mystery Meat has been found in one of the cooler sections as well as dark red liquid that seems to pour from all of the nozzles at the soda fountain station, regardless of what lever you push.
Option One
You're famished enough to take part in this curious food, eating both the mystery meat and drinking from the red fountain of ???.
Option Two
Um. No? You decide against it, for the sake of your stomach and the possible repercussions of eating weird food provided by who knows what.
Option Three
Dipping the meat in the red drink seems to add a little bit of extra flavor to things. You consume your portion this way.
The next answer/prompt will be posted tomorrow at 1pm cst! Get some sleep... you're going to need it!

Tom Wolf: Option #2
Unfortunately this had been the wrong choice, as a vicious dog-like beast awaited on the other side of the door. As quickly as he could, Tom shut it, and stood there to catch his breath and waiting for the fear to subside. Yep, this was definitely crawling with youma now from what he could tell. Sort of like a haunted house but they were intending to hurt you here.
Suddenly there was the announcement over the phone, and really, could they be a little more formal about it? But now they knew that they were stuck here for the night and nothing could be done about it, except perhaps powering-up and teleporting out, but that could give him away to others that he really didn't want to find out. For all he knew, there were Order members here that he did not want them to know his civilian identity.
And so, they all went around looking for something to eat since they were quite hungry. However, all that was found was some mystery meat and dark red liquid.
And suddenly Tom's appetite had magically disappeared. After that finger incident, he was not going to go and test out something else with who knows what as it's ingredients.
And so, he settled himself on a bench for the night, glad that he was wearing his hoodie.

Ildri Lacole - Dipping the meat in the red drink seems to add a little bit of extra flavor to things. You consume your portion this way.
Ildri couldn’t help the chuckle as she watched people get zapped by the gates. Welp. Seemed she had picked the best route this time around.
STill, that cold lingering feeling was still there and she was not liking it.
Just then the General came over the loudspeaker again and pretty much told them to tuck in for the night and to have pleasant dreams. “Oh, ******** you.” She cursed loudly enough that those around her probably heard. Not that she care though. She was pissed.
Someone shouted about food and Ildri huffed as she marched over to take some. It was some odd mystery meat and a mystery drink. Whatever, she was hungry.
Both things were rather….dull in taste. A random thought passed by her and she randomly dipped the mystery meat into the drink. She took a bite and raised her brows. Hmm. That was a bit better. Using this as a means to somewhat enjoy the practically tasteless food in front of her, she ate her meal before finding a place to settle in for the night.
Flo was so glad, standing the middle of the room watching, that she hadn’t tried either gate. They both seemed to be guarded by different, unpleasant means, and now… it looked like they were spending the night.
She couldn’t help the worry about what her parents would think when she didn’t come home tonight… she always came home. They’d call her friends, her teachers… maybe go out looking for her. They’d be livid when they found her, because they were scared. She was scared too, honestly… and if she managed to get out of here, she would be happy to take every thing they threw at her, and all the grounding they wanted.
A lump settled itself in her throat as she pulled out a chair to settle into, bracing her heels on the edge so she could wrap her arms around them. She wanted to go home… this had been an awful mistake.
Grabbing hold of the grate, Orah pulled upwards just in time to hear a menacing growl.
Her eyes widened as she looked up to see another youma, this one large and dog shaped as it lunged at her. She couldn’t help her squeak as she lurched back, getting her fingers out of the way just in time. Other seemed to be fairing no better, coming away from the south gate rubbing sore hands as that voice came over the loud speaker again.
Dark brows drew together as she stared at the ceiling, her hands in fists by her side.
They’re leaving us here over night? Why? If they wanted to finish this, why not just come straight at us? Why all this run around?
Someone found meat, but Orah had no appetite for it as she found a wall to settle down beside, sliding down it to the floor to draw her knees to her chest. Maybe Arian would wonder where she was if she didn’t come home tonight, or Laney. Thinking of Laney, Orah dug her phone out of her pocket and frowned, finding no bars. So much for contacting anyone… She was not looking forward to spending the night here, at the whims of these Negaverse maniacs. She’d been captured before… she didn’t want to go back to that.
