Her sneezing fit continued and she shook herself a second time for good measure, dislodging more clumps of debris. Roni flattened herself in front of Navi, which gave the much smaller wolf a peek at the small form huddled on top of her sister's head. Green eyes peered curiously at the chipmunk. At least this time the friend Roni picked up was a small woodland creature. Although the fact that it was so comfortable sitting atop a ginormous predator's head made the wolf question how 'normal' this chipmunk was...
Fire. Right. Priorities. At this rate, Roni's well meaning intentions were doing more damage to the forest than the flames. Fire needed oxygen to burn, but having Roni put it out with an old fashioned human 'stop drop and roll' would flatten the forest instead. Bad plan.
The lake wasn't far... That could work. Or it could wind up drowning half the forest, but it was their best option. Taking in a breath, the wolf changed. Fur receded, limbs realigned themselves, and joints popped. It was a well practiced transition by now, and where the four legged canine once stood now crouched a very human girl.
"Roni," she commanded as she straightened, "hurry to the lake." She had no doubt her sister knew which one she was referring to. "Get a mouth full of water. It should help put out some of the fire. Don't drop it all at once!" she hastened to add. "Just small amounts. Only what's needed. We don't want to drown anyone." Her sister's human mouth would probably be best for the task, but Navi had confidence that Roni would realize that little fact.
"I'll stay here and keep the fire from getting closer." 'To their home' went unsaid. Reaching into her waist pack, she retrieved a slim fan. A swift flick of the wrist revealed blue cloth, a gift from an old friend. Navi didn't want to freeze the entire burning area, but she could at least freeze sections to keep the destruction from continuing in the path of her home.
Not waiting to see if her sister did as instructed, Navi began her work. A wave of the hand sent the freezing magic slinging through the air, smashing into the base of the inferno. Freeze the fuel, smother the flames.

Isabelle
Isabelle didn't understand canine talk, but she liked to think that maybe she could be pretty good at reading body language sometimes, and she had figured out that Roni and this regular-sized wolf knew each other. Probably from the same pack, but she couldn't tell who was the leader between them; they seemed to act kind of like equals.
She noticed the new wolf staring at her, and she chuckled nervously, offering a sheepish wave before going right back to clinging to Roni's fur for dear life.
And boy was Izzy glad she was hanging on, because she was completely floored by what happened next! Roni wasn't the only one who could change from a wolf to a human, or from a human to a wolf; this girl could do it too, only unlike Roni, she was a regular-sized human. And she was telling Roni to take a big mouthful of water from the lake and spit on the fire...Izzy TOTALLY WANTED TO SEE THIS!! And then...
"Whoa, did you just FREEZE the trees?? HOW DID YOU DO THAT??" Even for a talking chipmunk, Izzy had never met anyone who could do cool magical stuff like that. Heck, she didn't even know how SHE could talk; she just always accepted it as normal that she could talk with humans and other chipmunks couldn't. It was just one of those things.

<-^ Roni ^-> ^-> The Canine of Epic Proportions <-^ Height: 125' The Large Wolf stared at her sister for a moment, before switching back to her Human form. If her sister was in her human form, it must have been easier after all to do the same. She raised up her hands and coaxed Izzy onto her hand before handing her to Navi. It would be easier for her to move quickly when she didn't have her riding along. "You'll be safe with her." Roni told her.
She rose up then and moved as quickly as she could without knocking down more trees. She was sure that her sister was rather annoyed with her for doing it in the first place. Each of her steps was still met with a quake, and how careful she was trying to be, some of the weaker trees ended up falling over thanks to the fire and her earlier damage.
The lake, for her, was only a handful of steps. She lowered herself down to the lake on all fours before dipping her head down and taking as much water into her mouth as possible. As she stood herself back up, she wondered how she was going to be able to let out a little bit at a time without accidentally dumping it all out.
Her quaking steps indicated her return and she looked out over the burning area. Leaning over it once again, she opened her mouth and shut it again as quickly as she could. The first try was a bit much, but it certainly extinguished the fire. She inched forward a bit more and spat out some water. Then again... and again... until she finally ran out.
She then looked to her sister to see if she should get more. She could see that it helped somewhat, but would she be able to get enough to help drench the entire burned area?

Navi was focused on extinguishing the flames through frost, so she did not see Roni shoving a chipmunk at her until the creature was pressed into her hands.
"Roni!" she cried in protest, but it was too late. Her sister was halfway to the lake already. Navi gazed at the squirrel now in her hands, the blue fan dangling from her fingers awkwardly. "You can talk," she stated. Shaking her head, she stepped away from that topic. "Yes, I did." Unfortunately the trees were caught in the frozen crossfire. "I used my fan." Speaking of, Navi gently maneuvered the rodent until she was perched on her shoulder.
"Try not to move," Navi instructed. The tiny chipmunk safely out of the way, Navi resumed her work. With every wave of the blue fabric, the magic responded with frozen chunks of forest.
Before long Roni returned with a river of water to douse the flames. It helped a bit.... Navi frowned. This was getting out of hand. An idea struck her. "Roni, get more. But this time, soak the forest around the fire. If everything is wet, the fire won't be able to spread as easily."
The girl swapped her focus from freezing the fuel to creating blocks of ice to act as barriers for the fire. The ice was course, spiking up at odd intervals. She was rushed and focusing more on speed, sacrificing control.
