Dea and #Teddy#
Special Holiday RP

Timmy had planned all of it, to surprise the children in Dea's household. He remembered last year, when he had been so in love with the idea of Santa bringing presents. He had been so excited! And then he had come! Santa had come! While he didn't expect Santa would come for him, he didn't think he'd been very good this year, that didn't mean he didn't expect the jolly man to come for the children who deserved it. He'd discussed it with Dea, and with her permission, had purchased himself a santa suit. He'd had to attach a pillow to his stomach, but it had worked pretty decently. Once he was sure his beard was on straight, and that he had a present for everyone in the household, he opened the front door. "Hohoho!" He called, looking around the livingroom.

Dea was sitting in her chair, trying to give her legs a rest. She was doing a lot better, just needed the cane as more of a tool in case it was needed. She smiled when she saw Timmy come into the room in a Santa suit and she and Eilam exchanged amused looks.

"Teddy, Fluff...look who it is!"she announced.

'Oh, Santa. I didn't know he would be here. I hope I was good enough,'Teddy thought. He looked at Santa with hope in his eyes.

"Tris...look...Santa! Mama, did you call him?"Fluff asked, looking over to Dea and he saw her nod.

"Oh Santa, it is so good to see you. I do hope you had a safe trip,"Lucy spoke up. She already knew it was Timmy, just like Dea and Eilam did. She enjoyed playing along though, knowing some of their family didn't.

"Santa!" Tristan exclaimed, hurrying to Fluff's side. He was just as excited about Santa visiting as the younger children. It was his first time celebrating Christmas: the wonder and belief in magic was still there. Krissy climbed into Dea's lap, beaming up at Timmy. "Santa's really here!" She cried, excitedly. "He must have gotten my letter!" Timmy chuckled, winking at Eilam, before bending to open his sack. "All of you have been so good!" He said, pulling out a wrapped box. He offered it to Dea. "For you," he said, bending to kiss her cheek. "Merry Christmas, Momma," he whispered. Next, he handed a box to Fluff. "I think you'll like this," he said. He handed one to Tristan, then Eilam. He handed a round wrapped gift to Teddy, and something not quite square to Lucy. "Now open your presents!" He invited with a bright smile.

Dea took the present Timmy offered him, giving him a questioning look. Now she hadn't known he had gotten her something too, this was actually a surprise. She smiled softly as she heard him and she whispered back to him.

"Merry Christmas to you too, my son,"she spoke. Lucy and Eilam both to their own gifts, before looking to the younger kids. Dea held Krissy and patted her head.

"Teddy and Krissy should go first. They are the smallest of us,"Fluff suggested brightly.

'Did you bring something for Timmy? He deserves something too,'Teddy spoke up, hoping Santa could understand what he was saying.

Timmy smiled at Dea, nodding at her. He grinned at Fluff. "I think you're right," he said, "Go ahead, you two." He had purchased Teddy a large ball to play with outside when the weather was better, and a doll for Krissy. He had wanted it to be special for the two of them, they were the youngest in the family. He watched as Krissy tore open her package. "Its the dolly I asked for!" She exclaimed, holding it up. It was a mincinno pokedoll: she'd seen it in the toystore window and had begged Timmy to buy it for her, until he'd insisted she waited to see if Santa brought it for her. She beamed up at her father, "Thank you, Santa!" Timmy blinked at Teddy's question, and then nodded, "I did," he said, "But Timmy's gift isn't something I could fit in my sack. He asked for all of you to have the best Christmas ever."

"Oh Krissy, that doll is cute. I am glad you got what you wanted,"Dea smiled, hugging her gently.

"Oh, that is definitely a big present. I think that was nice of him,"Fluff spoke up with a smile.

Teddy carefully opened his own present and his eyes widened at the ball before him.

'Oh, thank you! This is something I can play with. And I can play with my family too,'Teddy stated in pure excitement.

"What should we name her, Grandma?" Krissy asked, cradling her doll carefully, "She'll be our baby now. You can help me take care of her!" She beamed, watching Teddy open his gift. "Oooh, we can all play with that!" She said, leaning against Dea. "Santa's the best!" Timmy smiled at Fluff and nodded, "its what makes him happiest," he said. "How about you and Lucy open your gifts now?" He'd purchased Lucy a book he knew she'd been wanting, and a stuffed animal for Fluff to add to his collection.

"I don't know, Krissy...what would you like to name her? And I will help care for her all you want,"Dea smiled. She watched Teddy with his ball, carefully batting it back and forth.

'Yes, something fun for us. Santa must know how I like playing with my family. He is very smart,'Teddy agreed.

"Okay, I will. I am sure it will be great,"Fluff answered. He tore into the wrapping and squealed seeing a stuffed tiger.

Lucy gently opened her present and smiled brightly seeing it was a book of fairy tales.

"Thank you, Santa, this was just what I wanted,"she told him.

"I don't know," Krissy mused, "What pretty name should I give her? She deserves a pretty one, Grandma. The prettiest name of all! Santa knows everything, Teddy! He knows if we've been good, and he knows if we're sleeping." Timmy smiled at the reaction to the gifts, and glanced towards Eilam and Tris. "Go ahead," he said. He'd picked out something he hoped Eilam would like, and a set of the complete works of William Shakespeare for Tristan. When Tristan opened the box, he stood and wrapped his arms around Timmy. "Thank you, Santa!"

"A pretty name, hmm? you could name her Charlotte or Cynthia or Angelica or Virginia,"Dea suggested.

'Yes, he really is magical. Though you must get tired. Mama, do we have something for him to eat?'Teddy asked hopefully, Dea nodding.

Eilam took the gift he had been given and began to open it, carefully like Lucy had. Inside was locket which when opened had a picture of the family on one side.

"Thank you, Santa,"he told him.

"Oooh, I like Charlotte! We can call her Lottie! That's a pretty name, huh Grandma? And it starts with the same letter Christmas does!" She beamed, hugging her newly christened doll. "Now its Grandma's turn to open her present!" She exclaimed. Timmy blinked at the offer of something to eat. He hadn't been expecting that. "I suppose I have time for a bite or two," he said.
Dea and #Teddy# (15:38:57): "Yes, that is a very pretty name indeed. I am glad you like the name. Oh my gift?"Dea asked, having almost forgot in the excitement of the kids, that she had one too.

'Good, you have worked hard. I am sure a snack would be good. We want you to have energy,'Teddy smiled.

"Yeah, open your gift! What did Santa bring you, Grandma?" Krissy asked, looking at the box and trying to guess at what it was. Timmy had bought Dea a necklace with the birthstone and name of each of her children engraved onto it. "Oh, of course. But you know, I have millions of other children to visit."

'I know you do. More reason you need to refuel. We have chocolate chip cookies. Mama wanted us to be prepared for your visit,'Teddy answered.

Dea nodded her head as she began to open her own present. When she saw what was inside, her eyes watered in joy.

Timmy nodded, scooping Teddy up into his arms. "Alright, show me those cookies," he said. "Let's share them!" He watched Dea open her gift. He smiled at her. He'd hoped she would like it!

'Thank you,'Dea mouthed to her son, trying not to cry too much.

'Alright, they are that way!'Teddy replied, pointing to the kitchen.

Timmy nodded at Dea's thanks, going into the kitchen as directed by Timmy. He noticed the plate of cookies and smiled. He took one and took a bite. He chewed it thoughtfully, grinning. "Did you help make these, Teddy?" He asked. "Thank you!"

'Yep, though Mama had to help a lot. She said I was a big helper. Eilam said maybe I will be a baker. I would like that,'Teddy admitted.

Timmy smiled, patting Teddy on the head. "Maybe you will be," he said. "I have to go now, Teddy," he added, apologetically, "but thank you for the cookies! I'll share the rest with my elves." He set the togepi down with a smile. "Merry Christmas!"

'Merry Christmas to you too, Santa. Have a safe trip. And please tell everyone thank you up there,'Teddy smiled. He knew Santa was probably very busy

Quote:
Niall had never strayed far from the beach before, but today something had triggered his curiousity. What lay beyond the shores on which he lived? What kind of pokemon? So he'd made his way towards the woods, passing a few familar sites--he spotted the all too familar celebi brat, carrying a basket of who knew what. Ugh. He didn't mind Brenny. when the kid wasn't bothering his sister. Niall hesitated, upon reaching a house. He stared. He wasn't too fond of humans, his trainer and her mate were the only two he truly trusted. He was still skittish. He wasn't sure he wanted to continue.

Dea was inside, her Pokemon all helping her with the chores.

"You know, I can do this by myself,"she reminded all of them.

"We know, Mama. But everyone needs help. Let us do so,"Fluff piped up, his tail wagging slightly.
"You can't say you don't appreciate the help,"Lighting added, placing a hand on the woman's shoulder. Dea sighed, seeing the others look at her. She nodded her head, knowing it was pointless to argue with them when they all agreed.

Nope. He didn't want to continue. Niall turned to walk back the other way, giving a shiver. This had been too much adventure for him, he could see that now. This place, though it was beautiful, was not for him. There were too many trees, and it was hard to see the sun. And that house had too many voices coming from it. He was sure there was a large nest of humans swarmed up inside.

"Hey, can someone go outside and check the mail for me please? I haven't done so yet,"Dea spoke up.

"I can go look, Dea. Anyone want to come with me?"Lightning asked, looking at the rest of the family.

Tristan looked up from the puzzle he'd been doing. He alone, apparently had felt Dea should do something for herself. He wanted her to get better, to improve, and he didn't think doing everything for her was going to help with that. "I'll go with you," he said, standing. He grabbed his jacket, opening the door. "Come on," he said, beckoning Lightening out. He hesitated, catching sight of Niall. Huh. The kid looked familiar, maybe he'd seen him on the beach at some point. "Hey kid!" he called, moving towards Niall.
Niall turned, eyes widening. He was sure he'd been caught. He was relieved when he saw it was someone, quite like him. A pokemon person. "Hi," he greeted Tristan, hesitantly.
AnimeNandrew
Lightning had followed Tristan outside, then seemed to stop when she saw someone she hadn't met before.

"Hello, my name is Lightning. This is my friend, Tristan,"she greeted politely.

Niall thought Tristan looked familiar, and so addressed him first. "You live here?" he asked, blinking. He supposed it was a nice place to live, but it seemed so... Human. Blegh. He made a face, and then glanced towards Lightning. He winced, moving to hide behind Tristan. These were both electric type pokemon! And he was a water type. If they grew angry, they would use their moves and cause him to faint. One of the magikarp in the area had told him about that. "Do you want to play?" he asked. It seemed like the best way to avoid being zapped.

Lightning could see this new guy was scared to death.

"You know, we aren't going to hurt you, right? Tristan and I are pretty nice, if you get to know us. Everyone inside is,"she explained gently, giving her 'brother' a look.

"Yeah, we won't hurt you," Tristan agreed, rather encouragingly. "We're all friends here." He paused, glancing towards the house. Maybe they could show Niall that there was nothing to be afraid of by inviting him inside. "Come on, there's plenty of people you can meet," he said, smiling at the younger boy. "I bet you'll make friends." He glanced at Lightning. He wanted to tell her to move slowly--this kid was like a wild pokemon, at least, it seemed, around strangers. "We can show you how to play a game," he invited.

Lightning caught the look from her brother and gave a soft nod of her head. From the look, she knew they wanted to go slowly with this one, like they had to for him.

"Yes, there are all kinds of games we can show you. She walked closer to his brother.

"Go inside ahead of us and warn them. You know how Fluff is and if he is like you were, Dea may throw him as well,"she whispered.

Tristan nodded his agreement, going inside. "Well, we haven't gotten the mail yet," he said, glancing towards his mother. "But we have found something else. You guys will have to be gentle, he's pretty scared. I think he's come from the beach. He's probably never been away from it alone before, and--" he glanced out the window, to see how Lightning was doing. "So er. Be nice, I guess..."

Niall was intriqued. "Games?" he asked. He liked games, he was fond of playing them with his sister. He gave a nod. "Alright. You can teach me."

Dea looked up when Tristan came back in and listened to what she said. She looked to Fluff and then to Eilam.

"Fluff, could you come help me with some snacks please?"Eilam spoke up. He had gotten Dea's look. Fluff nodded eagerly as he followed Eilam into the kitchen.

"Oh yes, we have lots of games. You like games?"Lightning asked.

Tristan gave Dea a grateful look. It'd been hard for him to adjust as part of the family, after what'd happened to him. He didn't want the same thing to happen to this kid, when he was obviously so frightened. "Thanks mom," he said.

"I do. I play them with my parents and Aoife." They were fond of board games. And swimming games, but it was too cold for them to swim. He knew, though, that being an ice pokemon would allow him to swim in even the most frigid temperatures--just not with his parents.

"Of course, I know how you were when you first came here. Figured it would give Fluff something to do and help him,"Dea smiled.

"Oh, what are your parents like?"she asked.

Tristan opened the door, beckoning Lightning inside. He gave her a thumbs up, to indicate it was alright for her to bring Niall inside.

Niall paused at the question. What were his parents like? They were the best. They'd found Aoife and he stranded on the shore of the beach, when he'd been caught in a net. They'd cut him free, they'd saved his life. They'd took them home, kept them warm, fed them, and when the twins had found their star, they'd adopted them as their own children. "They're great," he said, eyes brightening as he spoke of them. "They're really nice. Momma is really good at cooking, and Daddy's good at making things. Momma's teaching Aoife and me to cook, and Daddy and I play a lot."

Lightning saw Tristan's signal and nodded her head discreetly in his direction.

"Oh, your family sounds wonderful. I sure hope you will like mine,"she smiled, leading the way into the house.

"They are," Niall beamed, allowing himself to be led into the house. "Mom likes me to find shells for her. She has these shelves, and I want to fill them with things Aoife and I've found for her. Sometimes I find other things, though. One time I found this really green-rustyish coin and I thought it must have been a real treasure, but Dad cleaned it with some sort of stuff and it turned out to be just an old penny! But Momma kept it anyway."
