Dea was at the lake with her family today, thinking it might be good for some of the members of her family. Timmy and Krissy needed to get out for a bit, plus it wouldn't be such a bad idea for Tristan either.
"Mama, what can we find at the lake? Is there butterflies here? Are their fish in the water? Did you bring enough food? Can Tris and I play a game?"Fluff asked in quick succession.
"Easy Fluff, one question at a time, we don't want to overwhelm her. Let me see if I can answer those questions for you. There are a lot of different things you can find here and yes, there are butterflies in here. There are fish in the lake, they are just hard to see because they are under the water. Eilam and I helped Dea pack the food and we made sure there was enough. In fact, we even made sure to bring chocolate for Teddy, after food. As for a game, that is up to you and Tris,"Lucy replied.
Teddy seemed to perk up when he heard Lucy mention chocolate and he waved his arms happily. If there was one thing he loved, it was chocolate and things dipped in chocolate. His mouth watered just thinking about it.

"The fish are just hiding under the ice," Tristan explained, patiently, to Fluff. While before, the boy's constant questions had caused him irritation, he had come to accept it. "I think its too cold for butterflies, but I bet there are birds we can see. Sure, let's play a game!" The minun teen had brightened at Fluff's last question. He took Fluff's hand and grinned. "This is uncharted territory!" He said, shaking his finger warningly, "We'll have to stay close, but there is still plenty to discover!" He paused, thinking he had heard movement. He shook his head. There was no one in the forest but them, he was sure of it.
"Snow, snow!" Krissy cried, giggling. The tiny cincino was spinning in circles in attempt to catch as many snowflakes as possible. "Snow!"
Timmy handed Lucy a thermos of hot chocolate. "I prepared this for everyone, in case it gets any colder." He said. He bent down and scooped Krissy up, who protested, until he raised her to his shoulders and began to spin himself.

Fluff looked over to the ice and pictured fish swimming under the ice, wondering if they were cold down there. He allowed Tristan to pull him off somewhere and he nodded at the older boy's warning.
"Okay, I'll be careful. We don't want Mommy to worry about us. What do you think is here in the Winter? Is it too cold for most animals?"Fluff asked the other. His ears twitched when he thought he heard something, but his brother didn't say anything, so maybe it was his imagination.
"Thank you, Timmy, this should help me a lot to stay warm. Can you put a little in a sippy cup for Teddy? I am sure this will tide him over until it is time to eat. Just enough chocolate,"Lucy laughed.

"Yes, exactly. We don't want her worrying about us. We're adventurers!" The minun teen paused, turning towards the sound he'd heard a moment ago. He thought he spotted a brightly colored tail, and hesitated. His eyes went wide, and he quickly turned to face Fluff. "Dragons!" He announced, "There are dragons here in the Winter!"
"Just one," a voice said behind him. Draven's tone was amused as he came up behind Tristan and tapped him on the shoulder. "Do you want to build a snowman?" He asked, tail wagging at the prospect of making new friends."Come on, let's play!"
"See, Fluff? Told you there's dragons here."
"Oh sure!" Timmy smiled, taking the thermos and putting some in a sippy cup for Teddy. He handed it to the togepi. "Here kiddo. Be careful, its hot!"

"We are the best explorers. Maybe we can discover something new. Or maybe find out more about something. We can be like Grandpa,"Fluff cheered. He saw the tail and he wondered what could be hiding from them. Fluff's eyes widened in surprise when his brother mentioned dragons. He had never met one before, least that he could remember, so this would be cool.
"I like making snowmen. We can play with you, right Tris?"Fluff asked the other.
Teddy chirped happily as he took the sippy cup, and waited for his drink to cool down.
'Thank you, Timmy. I will let it cool a little first. I can tell it is hot,'Teddy replied to the other.

"Sure," Tristan agreed. He liked making new friends and he was sure Fluff could use a friend outside of the family. "I'm Tristan," he added, in Draven's direction. "You can call me Tris, though. Everyone else does. And this is Fluff, my brother." Younger or older brother, he wasn't sure. If he went by looks, he was older than Fluff. But somehow he felt the other boy was older than he was.
"I'm Draven," Draven responded with a smile. "I've never been called anything else, except by my trainer. Sometimes he call me Dray. I guess you can call me that too."
"It is," Timmy said with a smile. "I hope you like it."

"It is nice to meet you, Draven. So you have a trainer too? Mama is my trainer. Her name is Deanna. Everyone calls her Dea though. Do you come out here alot?"Fluff asked. His tail swished as he watched the other, wondering what a dragon ate or did.
'I am sure it will be delicious. Thank you again, Timmy,'Teddy chirped happily. Once he felt it had cooled down enough, he put the spout to his lips and began to drink from it. It was so chocolatey and yummy, this would totally hit the spot until after they ate.

"Yeah, his name is Rhiyn. We were playing hide and seek but then I noticed you. He should find me soon." Draven considered what Rhiyn had told him earlier: that he was no longer the dragonite's trainer, but still had a responsibility to him. Draven wasn't sure what that meant. "I live just there," he added, pointing towards the lakeshore cabin. "So I guess I come here a lot? But its more like I never leave here..."
"Of course," Timmy said, smiling at Teddy. He handed the thermos back to Lucy. "You should drink it before it gets cold."

"Playing Hide N Seek is a lot of fun. Your trainer is not your trainer? How is that possible? Even though I changed, Julie was still my trainer. Now Mama is my trainer. Oh, you live out here. Then I guess my question was silly,"Fluff spoke quietly.
"Yes, I think that would be a good idea to have some now,"Lucy nodded softly. She gently placed Teddy down in the chair next to her, before pouring some hot chocolate for herself. Then she began to drink what she put in her glass.

"Yeah it is! My sister Claret and I like playing hide n seek, but mostly we play explorers where we're in a kingdom full of all sorts of neat stuff. We found the dungeon and the royal swimming pool, and even where they keep the kracken!" Draven's eyes widened and the dragonite boy giggled. "The kraken was living in our bathroom! Can you believe it?"
"Rawr! I am the kraken!" A voice called out from behind a tree. A teenage boy with shaggy black curls stepped out from behind the tree and wrapped his arms around Draven. "You can't escape!" He declared. "You're about to be my lunch!"
"No! Daaaad! You're embarassing me, I'm going to build a snowman with these guys!"
"That's no fun," Rhiyn pouted, crossing his arms and poaching out his bottom lip. "Don't you want to play with me, too?" He glanced at Tristan and Fluff. "Bet I can make a better snowman than all of you!" He challenged.

Fluff seemed to perk up when he heard the other boy liked to play explorers.
"Oh, we love being explorers. We like going to space. My favorite stuffed animal went missing there. We were able to find him though. Sounds like you have fun adventures. What is a Kraken like? I have never met one,"Fluff spoke. Then he squeaked in surprise as someone appeared.
"Is that your trainer?"he asked.

"We've never been to space," Draven said, shaking his head slightly. He couldn't imagine what space was like. He grinned at the boy's next question, pointedly glancing at Rhiyn. "This is a kraken!" He announced. "Be careful, he secretly has eight arms and super sharp teeth. This is just his disguise."
"No," Rhiyn said, shaking his head at Fluff's question. "I'm his friend. His parental figure. But he's no longer a Pokemon, and I never caught him in the first place. You can't train a kid. Well, I suppose you could try keeping one like you'd keep a Pokemon, but that's definitely illegal." He ruffled Draven's hair playfully. "So Dray, introduce me to your friends."
"That's Fluff, and his brother is Tristan. But he says to call him Tris. Let's build snowmen! Come on, you three on a team against me! My challenge still stands!"

"Space is a lot of fun. There is a lot to see there. Oh, a Kraken sounds very dangerous to me. Can they be friendly?"Fluff asked softly. Then he looked at Rhiyn then and tilted his head when he said he was not Draven's trainer.
"Mama didn't catch me either. She got me from my previous trainer. We can still learn moves though. Eilam and Lucy told me about it. They say we can still protect Mama. So she is still kind of our trainer. Also friend and mom too. And yes, let's start building,"he agreed.

"He is," Draven grinned at the question. He doubted a real kraken could be friendly, but Rhiyn certainly was! "I like exploring castles. Maybe I'll explore space with Claret later. Then we'll explore Camelot! That's where King Arthur lived! He's famous because he pulled a sword out of a stone! But Dad says that didn't really happen and that's just a story to explain how he became king."
Rhiyn blinked, baffled that someone would still continue to believe she was the trainer of children. "I...see." He said at last. "Well. The only training Draven and Briar are going through is homeschooling!" He grinned, starting to roll a snowball back and forth in the snow.
Timmy wandered over to Tristan and Fluff, grinning. '"Looks like you guys have been challenged to a snowman building contest," he observed. "Can I join you? Fluff, you're being unusually quiet. Meowth got your tongue?"

"I have heard of King Arthur. In the stories he had a wizard. I think Mama said the name was Merlin. Maybe we will have to explore castles sometimes. They sound like a lot of fun,"Fluff spoke. He turned his head a little when he heard Timmy behind them and he nodded his head.
"You can play too, Timmy. Will Lucy play too? Or is she busy taking care of Teddy. I was just thinking, Timmy. Is Mommy weird thinking of herself as trainer too? We are still Pokemon too. She can still instruct us in battle too. It is just different too,"he spoke.
