Looking for Aryala, got Kiandri
 Dear Diary:
Wow.. that was.. just wow. I got lost on my way to Ayr today. I was going to try fighting an Ayrala dragon since I wanted to see if I was strong enough to, but somehow I ended up at Eowyn. Don't know how, but oh well. As I was walking along the sand dunes near the beach, I loved the view and decided to draw it. Did too, turned out lovely~ But before I could finish it a Kiandri dragon tried sneaking up on me! I don't know how I beat it, but I did... got a ton of small burns from all those lightning bolts it had on its scales; but still, a win!!! I must have faced a young one, but still, I beat it!! Though I want to go back to that sandy continent, I think it would be safer if I stuck to Ayrala dragons for now. Also, my dad almost burst with pride when I came back! ... Mom kinda panicked and wanted to know how I could try going to Ayr and end up at Eowyn.. but that's not important right now! Unfortunately, she made me promise to stay away from Eowyn until I've defeated three Ayrala's.. so now I have a goal!

[PRP-Battle] A Colorful Paint Fight
 Dear Diary:
Wow.. this is really my lucky week. First I defeat both a Kiandri and an Ayrala, and today I got to meet my first Oblivionite!! She's nothing like the monsters Miz Krel and some of the old folks's tell us about. She's really quiet and lady-like. Though she was willing to play paint tag with me! That was an interesting game. I really can't hit anything... I now know that the bow is not for me. If I can't hit with a bag of paint at a distance of a few feet, how could I ever hit a moving target with an arrow? Eanah really needs to learn how to sneak around and hide, but she's got a better aim than me. I hope I see her again! Oh yeah.. that reminds me, I need to make more paints... hmmmm, oh well. I'll do that tomorrow.

On a roll~
 Dear Diary:
I am just on a roll this week! First a Kiandri than an Ayrala! ..Um, that seems backwards since Kiandri's are supposed to be tougher.. but I think that fight I just got really lucky... Oh well. This fight against the Ayrala wasn't as painful as the Kiandri.. probably cause there was no lightning to burn me! This fight was also more fun! I got to fight in midair! It was so epic! I like fighting Ayrala's. Oh! Also, I learned so much about wind today! And had too much fun flying in it. I can't wait till Fallon grows up and I can take him their to hunt and fly! It'll be a blast!

A Choice to Make Kadryn was waiting outside her father's smithy that morning. Her da had told her to come early and that it was a big day for her. Kadryn wondered what she was here for. If it was a big day, then .... hmmm, could it be for a weapon? Did Da really think she was old enough to learn how to use a weapon? She began to excitedly squirm around on the bench. At that moment her Da walked out. She bounded up excitedly, "Do I get to choose a weapon Da?!" He grinned, "You just can't wait can you?""Well, no... It be nice to have something to hit dragons with other than my hands... Especially Kiandri's, their lightning hurts." Naiser laughed, "And that is why you mother and I sent a request to the Citadel. Lady Avi was pleasantly surprised that you'd killed a Kiandri after only two wins against Ysali's. I also mentioned how you then continued on and got an Ayrala orb as well. She agreed that you were indeed capable of wielding a weapon. But she wants you trained in one for a few weeks before you are allowed to use it outside of the training salle. Come around back, that's where all weapons and the salle are." He turned to go, only to be passed by a thrilled Kadryn who skipped ahead of him. "Can't wait~"The training salle was a huge round building with small windows high in the walls. In front of it was a large field filled with a gradient of ground types. On one side was grass, next to it was sand, then pebbles, then what looked like a ravine, changing all the way up to a small woodland. "Wow. Da, what's that for?" Kadryn pointed to the strange field. "That's for people to practice fighting in different types of land. I'm sure you noticed there was a difference in your battles on Eowyn and Ayr than your fights on Serene. This will help everyone to also experience that before they go there. Also, many people don't leave Serene, so this helps them to fight on different grounds. There are quite a few adults who like to train, but not fight. Which is fine.""Um, but Da, doesn't that mean that they won't last long in a real battle? Cause training is nothing like a real fight with blood and pain and all that....""True, but that is why there are people like us, Kadryn. We fight so that others may live in peace. Always remember that. And try not to get mad and try starting a fight like last time. I know his 'dragons are our friends' speech pissed you off, but really? Did you have to dump him in the middle of the lake?" Naiser shook his head. Carefully hiding his smile at what he thought was a deserved punishment for that foolish man, he put on a stern face. "Oh.. err.. you knew about that?""Of course, so many people stopped by to gossip at the smithy it's amazing we get any work done. And here we are," Naiser opened a door into the salle, "I've set up several weapons of each type inside. I want you to try training with each for a bit today. Then pick which one feels right for you." Kadryn stepped into the large room beyond. She saw many archer targets all along the surfaces of each wall. There were also stuffed straw men to one side of the salle. But what caught her eye was the weapons rack in front of her. On were three bows, swords and maces. Each were a little different, but all were deadly. Kadryn trotted up to the rack. Looking at the bows first, she decided to use each and every weapon there. After a few minutes of trying to shot arrows, Kadryn decided that they were not for her. There was no thrill of hitting some one up close, no sense of danger! No fun what so ever. She shook her head and placed it back on the table. She knew that she wasn't a bad shot, but no.. so she passed over the other two bow options and moved onto the swords. The sword was better... but not quite right. It was cool swinging it around.. but .. how to say it. Too lady like. Too restricted. Kadryn tried all three swords, but still the same feeling. None of them made her feel like it was right to wield it and fight like she did. It required way too much finesse for Kadyrn. She wanted something that would fit her fighting style. Something to make those dragons cry. So she put them down and moved to the maces. She was grinning with pleasure after just a few minutes of bashing the straw men. To hear them crack, to see them shatter. Yes! This was what she wanted. Something that fit her, something that worked with her instincts. "Da, I want this one!" She yelled back at him as she waved the mace in the air. Her chosen mace was a long dark thick stave with a huge spiked ball of dark iron with an almost blue tint to it on the end. It was a sight to behold. Kadryn was wielding in one hand a weapon almost as long as she was. Naiser smiled; his daughter, the Barbarian.

A New Teacher Kadryn was waiting for her father to finish breakfast. She’d already eaten and was bouncing impatiently in her chair. “Hurry up, Da! I wanna go train, I gotta see if I can dodge all of Uncle’s hits today! Yesterday I only got hit once!”Naiser smiled across the table at his little girl. “It won’t be Tarlon training you today. An old friend of ours is coming here to settle down with his wife. He’ll be training you so that Tarlon can go back to his kitchen and help your mother… she’s been a bit overworked these past few weeks.”“A new teacher? Awesome!!! What’s he like? Does he use a mace too? Is he nice? Does…”“Woah, slow down Kadryn! You’ll meet him soon. And…. Well, you’ll see. But don’t expect him to be like Tarlon.”Kadryn could hardly wait now. A new teacher! Uncle Tarlon was awesome, she loved him a lot, but Kadryn thought he might be taking it easier on her cause he didn’t want to hurt her. And that was nice, but not what she needed to get stronger. Maybe this teacher will be tougher, and I’ll learn even more from him. When she walked into the salle beside her father to meet her new teacher, the first thing she noticed was the scars. The second was his sword. Hmm, so a swords man, this’ll be different... but good. Since most people prefer swords or bows to the mace, I’ll be facing those more often. I wonder what else he’ll be able to teach me. Skipping forward, Kadryn halted in front of the tall thin scarred warrior. “Hiya! I’m Kadryn, are you my new teacher?” She gave him a big grin as she held out her tiny hand. “Hmm, well she appears to have gotten over her shyness. Last time we met, you were just a tiny…. Hmm, tinier tike that hid behind your mother's skirt at the sight of me.” A ghost of a smile crossed the pale man’s face. “This is a good improvement.” He bent down and shook Kadryn’s hand, dwarfing it with his own long bony hand. “Let us see what you know. Then I’ll know what needs to taught, re-taught, or beaten out of you.” A smirk crossed his face. Looking over at Naiser, he nodded, “This’ll be fun, Nai. She looks fragile at a distance, but up close it’s easier to see that she’s a tough lil thing. I promise I won’t kill her, but you might have to come along and dig her out of the ground after I’m done with her.”Naiser smiled faintly. “She’s tough, Kral. She might complain and hurt for the first week or so, but I don’t think she’ll need to be dug out of the ground. She’ll just pick herself up and come right back at you.” Kadryn felt a little worried at what was being said, but she was game for anything. After all, dragon’s had thrown her around, bitten her, stepped on her... what else could this man do that would hurt worse than that?

An easy hunt
 Dear Diary:
Well, the mace is so much more effective than my fists against dragons.. and my Da always seems to know when I try to sneak out at night. When I got back to the salle he was waiting there... I think he was going to scold me but the sheer amount of blood on me made him laugh. I think Da knew how messy it was and was just waiting to see how bloody I came back. At least I don't have to try and hide what I did, I really hate lying to my Da. That's a weight off my back...though Da says he's going to restrict me to the village limits for a week as punishment.

To the Hunt Once More
 Dear Diary:
Yay, My punishment is done with! I was able to go hunting Ayrala's once again. And boy did I have a blast! No mace still, but that's a good thing since I need my speed against Ayrala's and it would slow me down too much.

LessonsKadryn woke up early for her lesson with Kral Rialrgon, her new teacher. She was curious as to how a swordsman would teacher her about her mace. Though fighting him would be very beneficial since everyone used swords... Why was that? Maybe the mace was too heavy and did too much messy damage for them to stand? Or were they all perfectionists trying to turn a bloody thing into art? Shaking her head at the follies of others, she headed out to the salle. Walking out she felt a chill in the air, here breath steamed in the air, and she saw thick puffy clouds in the sky; autumn was here. Kadryn smiled, her favorite time of year! All the leaves falling down to make such lovely piles to jump in! And there'd be more hot foods to eat! Baking season! Oh yes, autumn and winter were her favorite seasons. But despite the cold air and thick clouds, Kadryn knew that the first snows were still a while off.. though maybe some rain was in the near future. "Hope it rains this afternoon, nothing better than a rain shower to cool off in after training!" As she neared the salle, she saw Kral waiting at the door. "Good morning!" She chirped cheerfully. "Good? We'll see how you feel about that after training," Kral smirked. "I intend to pound you into the ground and make you work today.""How can you pound me into the ground with a pointy stick? You'll need a mace or hammer to do that!" Kadryn quipped back, smiling as she ducked into the salle past him. "Sass this early in the morning? You really are asking for it aren't you?" Kral chuckled. "We'll start off with stretches and then some strength training.""Strength training? Blah! I'm strong enough to wield it now! But if you say so...." Kadryn sat in the middle of the salle and began to stretch. "You may be able wield it for small stretches of time, but how long does a battle last? I know you've faced off against many dragons all ready. Remember how tired you are afterwards? You need to be strong enough so that you can battle two dragons, one right after another, and then still have enough energy to run home carrying your mace. Besides, as your trainer, I don't need a reason to make you do stuff other than 'because I said so'!" Kral grinned, " I intend to make you fight, then run, then fight, and then fly with your mace today... all after tiring you out with strength training. " He walked over to the rack that held the metal weights and picked up a harness with some weights tied to it. "And I think it's time you increased your weights.. oh and I'll start you using the weights harness after training, one of these days you might need to carry another person to safety and still carry your weapon. This will help." He looked over at Kadryn and burst out laughing at her doomed expression. "Oh, too hard for you? I thought you liked a challenge?""I'll do it! ... just.. That's a lot..." She sighed, "Next time, I won't doubt that you can pound me into the ground without a hammer... You took that as a challenge didn't you?""Maybe I did, but don't worry, you can put the harness on after training today.. though I expect you to wear it except when sleeping, bathing, or cooking... At all other times, including playing and swimming, you are to wear it. So while today may be tough, tomorrow will be worst." Kral grinned down at Kadryn. I'm doomed.."_________________________
After her lesson was over, Kadryn tiredly put the weight harness on and staggered out the door. You are an evil man... a very cruel and evil man Kral...." Kral laughed, "People tell me that all the time, li'll one. But it will save your life one day if you learn it. And that makes it orthit. And you didn't collapse today at all, guess you're much stonger than I thought." He smiled down at her, happy that he'd found a child that could withstand his teaching with out crying, collapsing, or walking out on him. "I look forward to teaching you in the coming days, Kadryn."

Trying out the Mace...with Permission
 Dear Diary:
It's so weird! I got to fight an Ayrala without going to Ayr! Less chance of getting lost, but not as much fun. Fighting in the tricky winds of Ayr is exhilarating! Wonder what the dragon was doing here? Hunting us in our home as we hunt them in theirs?

Tired from Training
 Dear Diary:
If I knew how hard Kral would be as a teacher I wouldn't have been so excited to get a new teacher. His evil weight harness training is so tough! How am I supposed to fight with it on?! It almost got me killed! Next time, I'm taking the harness off when I go hunting.. well, after I heal of course. That dragon chewed me up pretty good. And why am I running into Ayrala's on Serenia? Maybe they like the warm calm air here?

That was fun! I rather liked meeting a new person and seeing Eanah again! Wish I could have talked to the red haired Orderite.. what's his name.. Cinead! Yeah, wish I could have talked to him some more. Maslin was rather prickly, but interesting. I bet I could make him real happy by feeding him more tasty food! Into the Winter Desert
Dear Diary:
Today was not a good day. I found a Kiandri, but this one was old; it had experience and strength. I must have faced a really young Kiandri that first time. Cause this dragon coughed lightning at me! At least that's what it looked like. And I couldn't dodge the darn things, my mace attracted them.. Got some really nasty burns on my hands and smaller ones on my arms. Ma is not gonna be happy when she sees these. I ended up fainting. How humiliating! When I woke up night was falling, so I camped there. Good thing I always have food with me.. and that the desert is warmer in the winter than Serenia. Hey diary, why didn't the dragon fight me seriously? Or kill me? Did it think I was so weak and puny that I wasn't worth the effort? I'm angry, but this is different than usual, this anger lingers, like embers. I hope it doesn't flare up outside of battle. That would be bad.
