Cal let out a huge sigh. She stared at the phone and then out to the ktichen where Paven was making a huge mess. She looked to the living room where her...son had camped out for the past few days. She knew this couldn't last. paven was having fun for now but he needed a bed, a place to sleep and Cal couldn't have him sleep with her. She just couldn't, she had no room for a second bed and she enver delt well with sleeping next to people.

Cal picked up the phone and quickly dialed Kami's number, before she could change her mind. She twisted around, pacing back and forth. She felt her stomache twist and her feet slapped agianst the cold wood. Then the phone clicked and Kami's voice floated over the phone.

The awnsering machine. Thank God was all Cal could think as she let out a long sigh.

"Hello Kami this is me Cal" she said quietly, so Paven wouldn't over hear her say the magic name. "You said you get back to me about the apartment but...you can't. Now I understand if you have no new info but I REALLY could use some sort of awnser. I don't know what I can do with this space. I really need a bigger place. Please call me back soon" she begged, then hung up.

"Paven what are you doing to my kitchen!?" Cal sighed expressed.

Users: Flamefire123 (Flame), Happyzac (Zac), & Kami.no.Kurai (MS)
Characters: Calendra, Paven, Zac, Tsurara, Kori, Tristan, Kami, Yoru
Setting: Apartment Complex
Link: Page 1, post 2 - ???

Kami.no.Kurai
Most people when they walk out of the landlord’s room begin to think, “Why is that room so much nicer than mine,” but Kami was thinking something different… Wouldn’t it have been much cooler if the landlord started to sob?

“I knew those pictures would come in handy,” Kami mused out loud to the world. The pictures mentioned were those from the last New Year’s Party at the complex. After Zac and her pleadings did not work, and then her threats using Zac failed, Kami resorted to something much worse… “Thanks for taking those pictures, Zac. They came out really clear…” Zac with a camera, although scary, seems to have worked out this time.

Kami had already taken care of calling Cal, and she was hoping she would be there soon. She wanted to show her around and get her situated in her new apartment.

Happyzac
"YAY~! I'M HELPFUL!" Zac's voice was a high pitch squeal, most likely from all the excitement. "Now that lady can come live near us!"

The giant woman stopped and stared at her friend, "Wait, what were those pictures again?" She started to much on her nearby strand of hair. "Where is that lady, anyways? Aren't we supposed to... um... move her in?" Zac straightened herself up in pride--she remembered her sentence.

Flamefire123
"so we're really going to live near Kami now!?" Paven gasped as he danced along. "I can't wiat! Then I can play with Yoru and meet Tsu and visit Kami whenever I was. Kami is so cool huh Cal. She's pretty too not just outside ethir, which is nice but inside too. And how much longer till we get there? I can't wait till we can move in. Leo doesn't like me living in his apartment and"

Dose he ever stop talking? Cal wondered to herself as she aproched the apartment building. She was relvied when leo called her up and said Kami left another message on her machine. She knew he was tired of living in her house and wanted his own place back, just as she was tired of dealing with two kids. At least Paven was just one, no matter how entergetic.

Cal walked though the front gate and winced as Paven called out Kami's name and went racing forward. She had such a head ache, it really sucked.

"KAMI!" Paven yelled when he saw her, "Hi Kami, it's me Paven Kami!" he said, running forward, "whose the big lady?" Paven asked, glancing at Zac then hugging Kami. "Where's Yoru? Am I really going to be living near you from now on? Can i visit you everyday? Will you come over for dinner? Look Kami I'm a kid!" he said, suddnely changign topics. "Look how big I am. And check out my cool new socks. Neat huh!?"

Kami.no.Kurai
Kami wasn’t really sure how to react when she saw the strange boy running toward her. He definitely looked familiar, and he knew her name. And then he said his name, and Kami was even more confused. No matter how much she had talked about it, she never expected a doll to become a child. She still wasn’t sure she believed that’s where Kori and Tsurara came from. For all Kami knew they just crawled up out of the toilet. Maybe they were mutants affected by any pills Zac happened to drop down there? Kami never believed this theory, of course. Paven just proves the one thing Kami didn’t expect happened.

As soon as the boy started asking questions she was sure it was him. She hugged him back, still slightly shocked from everything. “Yes, they are cool,” she said as warmly as she could. She had to keep the confusion out of her voice… “Paven, this woman is Zac. Zac, this is Paven. Zac lives in this apartment complex with me, now where you will be living.” Kami looked down at the boy… Wait, whiskers…? She looked away, but it wasn’t to avoid seeing the strange things attacked to the boy’s face. She was actually just looking around for Cal.

Happyzac
"Hi." Zac soothed her voice and crouched down towards the new child—the only time she would ever act halfway sane was when a child was present. She grinned and pointed to herself. "I'm Zac. I've got two kids just like you. You can meet them later, okay?"

She then sprung up like a slinky that was coiled up for a minute too long. "KAMI!" Her arms wrapped around her friend's neck, and Zac's insane smile was plastered on her face. "He's so cute! How come Yoru isn't big yet? I want my nephew to groooooooow!"

Flamefire123
Paven smiled as Kami awnsered him, that was his faovrite part of Kami she always awnsered when he said stuff. Cal tended just let him ramble. Which he supposed was okay but not quite as cool as when Kami awnsered him. Then he turend, the giant woman named ac. Short name for BIG woman. That was cool he decied and she was nice, and aparently liked Kami too.

"You guys are sisters!?" he asked in surpise. "That's so neat"

"Paven" Cal said quietly, comming up behind him, "Please be quiet for a moment" she requested, looking up at Kami, then at Zace. She had arived just intime for Zac to be insane. She was a bit scared of Zac. She was a bit scared of everyone though. She felt an odd bond with Kami though, since they actually talked and stuff.

"Hello" she said in the same quiet tone,"Sorry I'm late" she said, "I'm glad you finally called Kami. I had to live at my brother's place for a little while and we were both getting tired of it"

Kami.no.Kurai
“Hi,” Kami answered. She was still attempting a smile, which Zac may find slightly odd if she paid attention. Of course, Kami attempted to smile warmly at everyone but Zac as much as possible. “I’m sorry about that… The landlord was indecisive for the longest time.” Kami was not going to mention that Zac and her ended up blackmailing the landlord, especially in front Paven. She crumpled up the pictures in her hand in an attempt to destroy the evidence. If she needed them again she could print them out a second time. Oh the joys of digital cameras.

She turned back to Paven to speak to him. Kami knew Cal asked for Paven to be quiet for a moment, but she would feel bad if she didn’t say something to the boy… “I guess you could call Zac and me sisters.” Kami had been attempting to ignore Zac this whole time. She had successfully skipped over the question about Yoru (for now). Kami didn’t want to try explaining something that even she didn’t understand to Zac… She decided she had been ignoring Zac fairly well right now. To celebrate her victory she broke her streak and began to maneuver herself out of Zac’s arms.

Happyzac
"Kami's my Kami." Zac beamed as she hugged Kami closer; she couldn't let her Kami get away, could she now? The giant once again looked Paven over, though this time she tried to actually pay attention to how he looked--she'd always forget someone if she didn't do this. The boy had wiskers... Zac was going to ponder over this, but soon she noticed the munchkin's socks.

"Socks!" She released her death grip on Kami and looked from Cal to Paven. "Where'd you get those, they're so neat! I want to get some for Tsurara and Kori!"

Flamefire123
"I'm just glad you managed to get me the apartment" Cal said gratefully. "It wont take that long to move and I need to give notice at where I'm living now"she said, "But I want to move as soon as possible. How much is rent Kami?" she asked, missmatched eyes glancing at Zac as she mused over Paven's socks. Maybe the pair could keep each other entertained. She didn't understand Paven's lack of fear of people, she felt it all the time.Just everyone could hurt her. It's so easy.

Paven tired to listen to his mother's request to be quiet but when his socks were brought up he just couldn't resit. He loved his socks, which is why he wore sandles everywhere so people could see his cool socks. He hated to wear anything else which was a problem for Cal as she had to clean them every night.

"Aren't they cool!?" Paven squeed, "I love them so much, I got them when I got big!" He explained, "I think they're soooo cool. Don't you? I wish I had more because then I could wear different colors" he said, raising up a foot so he could look closer.

Kami.no.Kurai
After Zac let go Kami took a deep breath. She could finally breath again… “For now you can stay for free,” Kami explained happily to Cal. For whatever reason Kami seemed a lot less shy and happier with Zac around, but perhaps Kami was just having a good day and it had nothing to do with the crazy friend. “That may change later after our landlord comes to his senses, but for now all you have to pay is utilities.” Which, Kami remembered, was kind of similar to Zac’s situation. If Kami was right, Zac was not technically paying anything for her apartment. At least, that’s how Kami saw it. Then again, Zac was treated special because of her mental state. Cal was (as Kami saw it) sane and only getting special treatment because Kami felt she had to help a fellow doll owner.

Happyzac
"I think they're awsome!" Zac kneeled so she could look Paven face-to-face. He was so fun; she was going to be good friends with him. "You remind me of my baby, Tsurara," she stated speaking matter-o-factly, "I think you'd get along with him really well."

She then straightened up to look at Cal. "You get to stay for free, too? Neat! To you get a piece of paper from the government every month like me?"

Flamefire123
Tsurara..."You mean Tsu?" Paven asked. "Ohhh, Yoru likes him! Tsu is Yoru's best friend and Yoru is my best friend." Paven said, jumping up and down slightly. "I want to meet Tsu! Then we can all be three best friends! That be sooo cool." Paven danced around and laughed, grining up at Cal.

Cal gave a small smile back, he was cute and so postive. It was kind of odd but she didn't really want to complain about it. After all she envied him. He was so easy with himself, with others. Cal wished she could be like that.

"Free?" she said surpised to Kami, "Wow, that's...amazing" She'll have to save up money while she could. "thank you" she said quikly then glanced at Zac, a bit scared. "Um...no" she murrmered.

Kami.no.Kurai
“You’re just special, Zac,” Kami told her friend. Zac was the only crazy she knew who worried the government so much. She was also the only person Kami knew who would use the “free money” from the government to go buy sweets, even when Kami told her she was not allowed to fill her body with the evil sugar. “Yeah, with Zac’s help we were able to convince our landlord to be nice for once.” And of course the help of certain alcoholic beverages, but that was beside the point. “I think we could go see Tsurara and the others, right, Zac?”

Happyzac
"Well we'll see them when we get Cal's apartment key from the management, right? Tristan took them to do laundry..." Was the strange woman actually thinking in a linear manner? Maybe even her brain had to take a brake from running in circles...

Her grin only widened at the mention of her nephew again. "Maybe Yoru will be with Tsurara and Kori!" If she was chatting on the internet at this very moment the "<3" emoticon would have littered every sentence that spewed from her mouth.

Flamefire123
"Whose tristan?" Paven asked, "where do we get the key? Can we get the key now?" he asked quickly, looking around "Whose Kori? Is she a friend of Yoru's? How did Zac convince the landlord to let us live here for free?" Paven asked quickly, oh the questions never stoped. And more were ready to come as Cal sighed.

"Thank you Zac" Cal whispered, a headache still brewing in her mind as she yearned for the calm of having a home again. She would have one soon she thought happily. Paven would have his own room and she could finally breath again. Also no more putting family out, she hated doing that, she felt so guilty.

Kami.no.Kurai
“Yoru’s always with Tsurara,” Kami grumbled, slightly jealous of Zac’s boy. Lately Kami has been somewhat annoyed by Yoru, but that did not mean she wouldn’t get angry over her little doll always being away. She again perked up, however, when she answered the talkative Paven. “I think it would be better if you just met them, Paven.”

Kami made a grab at Zac’s hand as she began to walk away. The action was possibly habit, or perhaps Kami was afraid Zac would run ahead and get lost if she did not have a hold of the strange woman. Either way she attempted it. “We could go by and see if they’re done with the laundry. If they are they come with us to get the key, I guess.” Kami did not mention that she also wanted to check up on Tristan. The poor man was left to deal with two kids and a doll, and a lot could go wrong…

Happyzac
"Yay~!" Zac, of course, clamped her hand over Kami's and started pulling her small friend towards the laundry room. She forgot about Pavan and Cal when she left; thankfully the laundrymat for the complex was right across from the landlord's apartment. A short walk meant anyone could follow.

Poor Tristan had been beaten down by Tsurara's beggings. The man was now folding clothes while trying to ignore the youngster's wild behavior. Ah well, as long as no one found out that the boy was breaking the rules it would be okay, right?

"WEEEEE!" Tsurara was sitting in one of the washing machines with his arms up in excitement. It had been turned onto full power and the boy was using it as a carnival ride. One could only pray that this was as far as he would show traits of Zac within his personality.

Flamefire123
Paven raced after the pair happily, leaving poor Cal to follow alone. Paven didn't mean to abandon his mother but he just didn't want to be left behind. He called out to them and then reached up to grab Kami's other hand, grining up at her cutely, his wiskers twitching once. He never really noticed them and when he did he was amused by them. They were like his socks. Neat.

Cal watched as the other ran off. She was use to being forgotten and left behind. If Ari or Leo were there they would call back, or make sure she was comming along but these people weren't like her family. Not even Paven. She sighed and followed, wanting her key as soon as possible. She wanted to start moving in this weekend.

Kami.no.Kurai
As expected Zac pulled Kami away. Kami had little control over Zac, but at least she knew what to expect when it came to the woman. That way, at least, she could predict what was coming next and what to avoid.

Just as Kami had predicted right about Zac, Cal was right about Kami. Kami looked back at the two Zac left behind. She gladly took the boy’s hand after he caught up, even taking a second to smile down at him. She did not call back to Cal, however, even when she did see she was left behind. Just as always, Kami gave an apologetic look, but she did no more from what was in her nature as Cal predicted. Okay, so this is not entirely true. Kami would call back to one person: Zac. If Zac got out of her sight, Kami would immediately be worried. Of course, it was the other people she was worried about. Like when Zac takes interest in say, a hotdog stand with a giant hotdog on top.

The small doll sat safely on a closed machine watching Tsurara with red eyes. He was against “riding the washing machine,” and if asked to, he would have declined. If Yoru could speak, he would be repeatedly mumbling “idiot” under his breath. He may be friends with the energetic Tsurara, but he knew the boy had his own little “Zac problems,” such as stupidity. The French man did not annoy him, either, but to allow Tsurara to do something so embarrassing was truly idiotic. And Yoru just didn’t like Kori.

A Willing Victim - 07.27.06

Was getting an invitation supposed to be a good thing? Kami never could figure this out. As a young girl, receiving an invitation just made her guilty, for usually she would have to tell the person she was unable to go… If she did go, it would just send her into a situation where she was extremely uncomfortable, especially if Zac was not there as well. Of course having Zac there could be just as nerve-wracking, for she constantly embarrassed poor Kami, and even as a child she had to make sure the odd Zac kept out of trouble. And this invitation? It was even worse than any she had seen before. This time she didn’t even trust the sender.

It was this fact that she did not open the invitation upon receiving it. In fact, the idea that they knew where she lived and were able to get to her apartment and place it in front of her door frightened her. She knew they had her address, but she hated being reminded of it. And what could be in the invitation? For all she knew they had put some spell on it, and she didn’t want to take any chances reading it. Finally Kami’s curiosity got the better of her, and she opened it.

Invitation
You have been invited to a meeting of the doll lovers on August 8th, 2006. This is no normal meeting, however, a

nd you and any other people you bring will be greeted with shops, food, and rides. Here you can meet others like you and have fun doing it!

P.S. Do not forget to bring your doll and invitation!

Well, that wasn’t too bad. Wait, how could anyone say that? It was horrible! They wanted her along with her “closest friends” to gather into one spot. There would be people there she had never met… It would be easy to “take care of” everyone in one spot. But this was also a chance for Kami to find other doll owners, to take matters into her own hands without the help of the papers from the dreaded shop. She would have to go, and even though she hated to put him in danger, she would have to take Yoru, too.

Still unsure, Kami paced in the living room. After a few moments of receiving strange stares from her doll, who was calmly nibbling on a chocolate bar he had stolen from Kami’s bag, she read the invite again. Pace, read, pace some more… Okay, that was it. If she was going to be a victim of Bellus Pupa, she was taking her friends to be victims along with her.

Just the Beginning... - 08.08.06

Information: After receiving an invite from Bellus Pupa, doll owners met up at the mentioned place for the fair. Dolls were available to win, but no one did. There were also plushies being sold by 'Bob', and he even raffled one away.
Setting: Bellus Pupa
Summary: The Bellus Pupa owner announced a raffle for two dolls. 'Bob' awarded a plushie to Cal (Flamefire123) for winning a raffle. He also randomly sold two-for-one plushies to Naiya (infidelities). No one was able to buy the dolls at the event, though the owner said he would sell them at the shop. The event ended, but not before revealing a little about the NPCs. The golden one ends up giving one of his rings from his shop to 'Bob' to test out. Bob also gave out his shop card to all the buyers, but unfortunately (or possibly fortunately) for them the address just leads you to an abandoned shop. 'Bob' has also agreed to do research on something for Bellus Pupa.

The Guilt and the Greed - 08.09.06

Oh no, not again…This nervousness…This guilt…How could Kami face her again? How could she face him again? Cal, Paven… It was all her fault. Kami should never have taken Cal to that horrible place… How could she had sacrificed her friend to Bellus Pupa, allow her to suffer and be humiliated? Truthfully, Kami had no control over the situation, for the fault lay completely with the main known as 'Bob', but the guilt told Kami otherwise. She should have taken Paven on her own and let Cal stay behind. This never would have happened.

This whole thing did not seem to faze the small Yoru. He just sat as quietly as ever, staring up at the dejected Kami, who, overflowing with self-pity, was softly wailing about her troubles. He had seen Cal and how distraught she was, but it did not bother him. Why should he care about such a human? He liked Paven, but he saw very little need for the woman. Kami was just a source, and Cal meant even less to him. In this doll’s mind, if you were not his friend, you were nothing to him—a speck on a wall, a smudge on a paper—and did not deserve his respect. Kami did have some importance to him, though, and he had to cheer her up. She meant everything: food, shelter, taking him to Tsurara, opening doors… How could he get along without her?

So he came up with a plan. At least, one would assume he did, for he had a sparkle in his eyes and a grin on his face. He spoke to no one about it, and even if he did, only Tsurara would understand. Only Tsurara ever understood, but Kami was important, too. Less so, but important. It was going to take some time, but he could do it, and he would. If not for her then at least for himself.
PostPosted: Wed Oct 04, 2006 3:33 pm

It’s Okay - 08.17.06

Just as Yoru had thought, it was taking some time to go through with his plans. In fact, it was taking much longer and was much more difficult than he had planned. He never imagined he would have trouble at anything, and he had seen Kami use the strange object with ease! He had seen her use the funny picture and the odd screen! And why was the other thing named after a rodent? It sure didn’t look like one. It was just as hard for Yoru to control, though, being so small.

Now, this may take some explanation in human terms. The strange object? It was a desktop computer in Kami’s room. The funny picture? It was an icon on the desktop screen. The odd screen? A program Yoru had seen Kami use that she got to through pressing one of the funny icons. And the thing named after a rodent? Well, that was mostly correct, but one would say calling it a computer mouse would be much more respectable. Yoru had to use all these things in order to help Kami.

He waited until she had left for work before he started his plan, beginning first with turning on the computer. Now, seeing as Yoru was technically and vertically challenged, this ordinary task was extremely taxing for the doll. He knew he had seen her press one the buttons on the box-thing to make it all light up and become pretty! The screen, which reminded him of the television, only came on after that. The TV Yoru understood, the computer, not so much.

Yoru spent a lot of time trying to press in every button on the box, but some were difficult for the tiny doll made of porcelain, and he wore himself out trying. And one could not forgot the fact that he had to really reach to press others, sometimes even hanging off the chair by his legs in order to push them! Still, nothing happened. This called for another sweep over, but this time he held them longer, sometimes as long as he could before his strength gave in. Out of breath, he finally found the right button. Of course it had been within a reasonable reach and the last one he tried. Maybe this was some universal law; Kami always talked about those.

His next challenge was to get to the top of the desk. Compared to finding the 'on' button this was a walk in the park, or more precisely, a climb. Yoru was a natural climber, and he easily made his way up the chair, just as he had when looking for the button. The arm of the chair to the top of the desk was no problem, and he was quickly at his destination. Now he just had to find out how to get to that screen.

He understood that Kami used the rodent-thing to move the strange pointy-picture-thing on the screen. He also knew different things happened depending on where he clicked and which side of the mouse he pressed down on. He battled with the mouse a bit (to make sure it knew who was boss, of course) before he began to click on the strange pictures on the screen. He tried the right side of the mouse first, clicking twice just like Kami, and when that didn’t get him the result he wanted, he collapsed onto the left side. This brought up another screen. Yoru would have been overjoyed, if it had been the right screen, that is.

Now, he had seen Kami and her magic, watched her whisk away any unwanted screen…but which button did she push? He knew it was one of those in the upper-right corner, and after he forced the mouse there, he just clicked like mad. When he got the desired effect, he was downright proud of himself, but there was still more to do. And so he went on, double clicking every icon and attacking the buttons at the top. He didn’t even notice that bars started to appear at the bottom of screen from when he pressed minimize instead of close.

Finally, he found it. And he heard the front door open, and as quick as could be he jumped onto the chair, crumbling down the edge as he scurried to the ‘on/off’ button. He couldn’t spoil the surprise.

---

The next day Yoru had a much easier time getting where he wanted. He made sure to remember the button, even casting glances toward it while Kami was home to make sure he wouldn’t forget. The icon was a bit harder to remember, but he found it after a few mistakes. Now it was time to learn how to use the program!

He made a selection on the screen. Now what did he select? Well, actually it was a ‘get well card’, but Yoru didn’t know that. To him it was just one of those cards he saw at the store. Kami talked about them, and it looked similar enough to him! Now he just had to decorate it.

He had seen Kami do it. How hard could it be? He clicked some of the funny pictures on the side of the screen, whipped the rodent-thing across the desk with the left side held down, leaving new pictures on the screen. He continued this for a while, a long while, actually, until it as no longer recognizable as a card. In fact, he continued until the very point he heard Kami’s steps as she approached the door. It had to be her; he knew the sounds of her walk. He went crazy clicking at the top of screen, and when it was gone, quickly jumped down to press the button on the box-thing.

---

Doesn’t it stink when you lose all your hard work? Don’t you hate it when you forget to save, or the computer freezes before you save? Technically Yoru shut the computer down on his own. He could not fine the file with his masterpiece. Instead of closing the file which would have prompted the program to ask him to save, he had minimized it. He had lost everything.

This caused quite a bit of yelling, screaming, and full-on gibberish. Yoru was not a happy-camper. He just shut the computer off and went to brood elsewhere. Under Kami’s bed, maybe. It was nice and dark there.

---

Even though Yoru really didn’t want to, he forced himself to go back to working on the card. It took him a few days to get over it, for he had held a grudge against the computer and didn’t want to give it the satisfaction of his going back to it. But Kami was getting worse, and he couldn’t stand living with a drone.

It went much the same as before, pressing buttons and sliding things across the screen. He was less wild this time, though, and left the words showing. He didn’t know how to write, so he figured it would suffice. And so he redid his masterpiece. When he heard his owner’s footsteps, he went after the top of screen. This time something popped up. He pressed the first choice, and then the top choice on the next screen… Whatever all that was. Once that was over, the computer was off once again.

---

One has to be proud of Yoru for actually finding his saved file. When he made his way to the program and couldn’t find his file, he went around searching. He wasn’t going to give in this time. And he found it, after some searching. He just had to select the last choice under the first funny word at the top of the screen. Now he just had to show it to Kami.

---

Yoru wasn’t sure whether to tell Kami right as she came home or to wait. He decided to wait, but when she didn’t get him his dinner…well, he had to do something. First, of course, he bit her to get her attention…and because it was fun. At least it achieved the former, especially when the angry woman when chasing him into her room, where he pounced at the box, pressing the button which had become all too familiar. And this caused Kami to stop. It wasn’t everyday your doll went around turning on computers.

And is especially wasn’t normal when that same doll made his crawl to the desk, selecting an icon, and after some more clicking, a file. And so the untitled document popped up.

Kami collapsed into the chair, too surprised to speak. This was mostly caused by the fact that her doll had figured out how to use the computer rather than the shock of receiving something from him, but it was awe all the same. After she got over the initial shock, she examined the card, the excited, babbling Yoru yelling at her side.

‘Get Well Soon’. Okay, those weren’t exactly the right words she had in mind (in fact, ‘It’s Okay’ fit much better), but they worked. Smiling, she patted the doll on the head. “Thanks.” And that was how Kami received her first present from her doll.

In case anyone was wondering, Yoru was using Microsoft Office Publisher.

An Investigation Opportunity - 09.24.06

It downright confused Kami when she got yet another invitation not even two months after the first. It confused her even more when she noticed it said Divinations rather than Bellus Pupa, and she was not sure on how to react. She just did what she thought was the most polite thing to do; she opened it.

And then she dropped it, her whole body just as stiff as her hands from fright. It was Bellus Pupa. The first words had frightened her, and she could not continue. No, she had to. She needed to know what the horrible shop was up to.

She daintily picked up the card, holding it far away from her, as if it may explode in her face. She carefully opened it, reading its contents.

Invitation
Dear Bellus Pupacustomer,

We invite you to Divinations on October 2, 2006. On that day we will celebrate the Egyptian Lantern Festival, also known as the Egyptian Death Festival. Bellus Pupa customers will receive something for free. Refreshments will be available.

What was this ‘Death Festival’? Now she was even more frightened, but at the same time she was intrigued… She had to find out Bellus Pupa’s connection with this other shop. She didn’t know if she wanted to get this so-called gift, but she would see what it was. It could come in handy later. She had to figure out what was going on. This time, however, she would not bring anyone else. Yoru was all she needed.

Join in the Festivities - 10.02.06

Information: Alexander, better known as Sasha, held an event at his shop. He says it was modeled after the Egyptian Death Festival. He even had Bellus Pupa bring in two Egyptian-themed dolls to sell, but he found know one hat suited it. He did find the doll Sebastian an owner, however. He sold masks at the event as well.
Setting: Divinations
Summary: People have showed up for the event, and Sasha is watching them closely. He has noticed the winged-girl named Naiya (Sindorei), the boy with whiskers and a tail called Paven (Flamefire123), and four moving dolls, including Kerri (Bootchu), Dusty (Bootchu), Suki (Zan-chan), and Yoru (Kami.no.Kurai). These must be important, right? The boy, Eicca, also brought in his own, lifeless doll, as well as three others. The first two are the Egyptian-themed dolls. The third was handed to Hansi, who picked Renn (Sindorei) as the new owner. So far, nothing more interesting than some dancing and frenching has occured. Unless, of course, one counts the creepy-crawlies Leran (RubyJenn) left at the refreshment stand while Hansi was distracting Sasha. Poor Evella (Evella), found the creatures, and Sasha seems to blame Hansi partially for the ruckus. Sasha has now pulled Hansi into the back room to set up for the ceremony, and it seems he has caused even more problems back there. Sasha finally called everyone back in and started the ceremony, but something went wrong... All those wearing a mask have changed and gained animal features according to the mask they wear, and the employee Lucas collapsed. Sasha left Leran (RubyJenn), Eicca, and Hansi in charge while he left to take care of his employee. A few more customers joined Sasha, including Ruri (WindRiderNaya), who was in search of a doll. After scolding Sasha about losing him, Eicca found Sebastian (WindRiderNaya), and Sasha sold him to her. In the back room Hansi babbled on as he tried to come up with a way to fix things, and he now has a plan. He has decided to use the doll Sebastian (WindRiderNaya) as bait to lure the animal souls back. Hansi handed the doll to Leran (RubyJenn) and told him to stand in the middle with the bait while he chanted. After doing so, the souls left the people, diverging on Sebastian (WindRiderNaya), and the animal features disappeared. It also seems Lucas awoke afterwards, too. After they usher everyone out of the store, Sasha, Eicca, and Hansi have a strange conversation, Benji, another strange man, came to take Hansi home. Now all Sasha and Eicca need to do is stop any more dolls from coming to life...

Just a Little Foxy - 10.02.06

Users: Night Night For Nighty (Nighty) & Kami.no.Kurai (MS)
Characters: Kohana, Katsua, Kami, Yoru, Aki
Setting: Bellus Pupa
Link: Page 1, post 2 – Page 2, post 1

Kami.no.Kurai
If Kami had had her way she would never go anywhere near Bellus Pupa, especially not unarmed. It didn’t seem she had a choice in the matter, for her younger sister was very persuasive, especially when she started pulling the yelling Kami toward the store. She had been completely against it, screaming out her reasoning in the middle of the street as she was pulled from the door of Divinations toward the doll shop. She didn’t care that she was receiving strange looks from pedestrians or the fact that someone from the two shops may hear. She just wanted Kohana to listen! This of course did not work, and this was the reason she was now grumbling inside of the store, edging her way into a corner. Kami was having some difficulty at this, though, for she did not want to be responsible for any broken dolls, so she did not want to get too close. Instead she was standing awkwardly in the corner, shivering in the coldness of the store.

It also seemed Yoru recognized where he was, even if he had never been back in the store since he was bought. The place had made him go stiff, eyes wide as he stared at the inside of his owner’s bag. He was not afraid, and he would never admit it if he was. It was just odd being there, and he had no clue on how to react. If Kami actually paid more attention to the little doll she would be overjoyed at his sudden stillness, glad he was not going to get into any trouble. Unfortunately, she did not, and she remained nervous in the corner as she kept a watchful eye over her sister.

Night Night For Nighty
Kohana looked back at Kami. "Kami, can I have a doll? I won't let animals get to it or anyone! I'll take good care of it!" Kohana said running up to her and put her hands on her shoulders and stared jumping up and down yelling, 'Please!' over and over again. She fell on her butt and stared up at her with puppy dog eyes.

Tears started to form in her arm like a little baby. They didn't fall onto her cheeks or even leave her eyes. Kohana didn't even go, 'Waah!' "K-Kami... Please! I'll love you forever!" Kohana whined and put her hands over her eyes and started to cry. "K-Kami! You love me, right!" Kohana shouted that over and over again as she ran to the counter and sat back down in front of it pouting and breathing heavily.

Kami.no.Kurai
There was a reason Kami had trouble saying no to Kohana: the girl was just plain annoying. The only way she ever seemed to stop was through violence or by someone fulfilling her wishes. Ignoring her just seemed to turn it into a game, and it started getting bad when Kohana began to enjoy the annoyances she was putting on people. Kami doesn’t trust Bellus Pupa, or for that matter, like it, but she did had to admit that they made good dolls. She hoped this was the reason Kohana wanted one. Even though she knew her sister had seen Yoru before, Kami did not know how much attention the girl paid to him and Kami’s rantings. Of course it could also be a devious plan in order to annoy Kami, but usually Kohana could not manage to plan anything like this. She just wanted a doll, and she probably wouldn’t mind the consequences. After all, maybe another doll would be a good thing. Kami would have something else to study, and maybe it would actually be normal! She already knew Yoru was different from many other dolls, so she couldn’t relate to other owners, but if she was around a normal one…well, that might just benefit her, and it would save any other unexpecting customers from buying him. Finally Kami had convinced herself of the good points, and even though she knew she would regret it later, she would go with it for now. “Sure…”

Bellus Pupa
The yelling did not seem to faze the poor shopkeeper, who had been sitting back watching the whole thing. She merely put on her best shopkeeper smile (which she always seem to have, so this wasn’t too hard) and made sure her posture was correct. After she had gone through the checklist in her mind, she was ready for action, “Welcome,” she called above the wails from the strange girl, “Welcome to Bellus Pupa.”

Night Night For Nighty
Kohana smiled happily as she heard a girl's voice and looked back seeing a pretty young lady. "Hello... Can I have a doll?" Kohana asked politely. Kohana stood still, her hands by her side and a smile on her face. She looked back at Kami who was still in the corner and sighed. Kohana walked over there and grabbed her hand. "Come on Kami..." Kohana smiled and went back up to the girl holding onto Kami's arm. Kohana smiled at the girl. "Kami said I could, if you don't mind..." Kohana's voice was quiet and showed that she was a little shy.

Bellus Pupa
Aki did not seem to even notice Kohana’s change in attitude, or if she did, she did not show it. She just beamed back at her with a glowing smile and bright eyes. These eyes, however, did not seem to look at Kohana but rather through her. If no one was in front of her, she just stared forward. She answered as if she was completely listening, though, so one could not say anything against that. It was just that she had the tendency not to look at people while they spoke, but she did this without looking shy. It was more odd than anything. “Please take a look around.”

Kami.no.Kurai
Kami never could understand Kohana’s sudden change in attitude when it came to meeting new people. Suddenly the annoying girl she was used to was shy and polite. It was this reason most other people saw her as an angel, but their family knew the truth… Kami allowed her sister to tug her toward the woman, unwilling to cause too many problems in this shop. She attempted a warm smile, but it came out awkward and forced. She had nothing against the girl even if she did work here, for she was kind and polite. She sold Kami Yoru, and she was quite happy with her for that. “Just go find yourself a doll, Kohana,” she whispered to her sister, keeping her eyes locked on the shopkeeper. Even if she was fine with Aki, she could never completely trust anyone related to Bellus Pupa.

Night Night For Nighty
Kohana smiled happily and let go of her sister's arm and looked around the dolls. Tall ones, short one, skinny ones, fat ones... Kohana looked though them all. She looked near the back corner and saw a tall skinny doll with light brown hair, dark eyes, and a dorky outfit. Kohana smiled as she picked it up carefully and walked to her older sister. "I like him... He's cute..." Kohana said cheerfully, holding him carefully in her arms with a huge smile that showed her joy. She laid her head on the side of Kami's arm humming a cheery tune. "Do you like him, Kami...?" Kohana asked giving her the puppy dog eyes. "Oh, I already love him..." Kohana looked at Kami and stuck out her tongue. "I love him more then you! I think I'll call him Katsua..." Kohana said.

Kami.no.Kurai
What could Kami say? She had to admit, he was cute, for a doll, and Kohana liked him. It’s not like she could turn back now and tell her no. She gave a smile to her sister, which was just as weak as the one toward the shopkeeper. “I like him.” She tried to ignore the annoying factor in her sister’s voice, which she could always pick up on, and focus on the other side… “And that’s a good name.” Kami uneasily shifted her weight from foot to foot, uncomfortable with her sister lying on her in public. In an attempt to ignore that as well, she turned back to the cheerful Aki. “I’ll pay. How much?”

Bellus Pupa
Aki watched the conversation between the two for a moment before searching beneath the counter for a box, which she carefully pulled out and placed on the counter. She seemed to think about taking the doll away from the customer for a moment, but she decided against it, ringing up the price while he was still in the girl’s hands. She told Kami the price, smiling just as always. As she did so she reached her hands out toward Kohana, as if to take the doll, but she did not attempt to touch him. “Do you want him in the box, ma’am?”

Night Night For Nighty
Kohana looked at Aki's hands but continued to hold Katsua close. "No thank you," she murmured. "Thank you Kami, Ma'am..." Kohana smiled at Kami and moved her head and stared at Kami. "I knew you would like him Kami, he is very cute!" Kohana said. "Is sissy going to be at home or is she going to be off somewhere again...?" Kohana asked. She was talking about her second oldest sister, being the youngest of the two. Kami was her oldest and she had no brothers.

Kami.no.Kurai
Just as always Kohana was asking random questions that Kami could not answer. “Like I know,” she answered back, snarling slightly in a jokingly way. “I just know where I’m going to be.” And where Yoru was going to be. Who really cared about him, though? Well, Yoru obviously did, but that’s beside the point… “Why do you ask?” Kami took hold of her sister’s arm, slowly trying to tug her toward the door. She gave a nod and mumbled her thanks to Aki before resuming on her slow pull. Kami had been here long enough, and she wanted to leave… She didn’t know if Aki recognized her, but she didn’t want to take the chance that she soon would. She had to leave. Now. And she would later have to explain to her sister about the doll and what to expect, but she wouldn’t do it here… No, she would find another time away from other people who might be spying or could look at her as crazy. Kohana didn’t count.

Bellus Pupa
Aki withdrew her hands, not at all embarrassed by being refused. She had no reason to be, for the customer was always right. They could do what they wanted. She just continued with her warm smile, which was much better than Kami’s and used much more often. She bowed a bit as Kami began to drag her sister away. “Thank you. Have a nice day.” Even something almost robotic and rehearsed somehow sounded sincere in her overly-cheerful voice.

Night Night For Nighty
"Okay! Thank you!" Kohana said waving, holding Katsua carefully in her hand and got janked out of the store. "Kami, you are a big, nice, meanie! If that even makes sense..." Kohana said and laid her head on Kami's arm. "Thank you... I really like Katsua... I just need to make a place in my room for him under all my junk..." Kohana whined, placing Katsua on her shoulder in a way he wouldn't fall. "Kat is so cute..."

Kami.no.Kurai
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” Kami grumbled to herself, attempting to fake the normal uncaring attitude she used toward her sister. If she was too excited or nice, it could give her sister a reason to be hyper. It was kind of hard, though; she was being way too cute right now. She just had to remember what was hidden behind that mask. Ugh. Masks. Yeah, she had one of those shoved in her bag right now, and Kohana was still wearing hers. Oh poo, Yoru was in the bag with the mask! He won’t be happy about that. Kami was finding it hard to continue walking with her sister on her shoulder, and it was even more difficult to try to dig into her bag and carefully pull out her doll. He remained quiet when he was removed, but he was giving her a piercing glare that almost made her want to shove him right back in. She resisted this, though, and tried to give him an apologetic smile, but his expression didn’t change. Since she could not think of another way to please the doll, she just turned away from while keeping him snugly close to her chest. “Now let’s get you home. I have some things to tell you…”

Information: There was no set meeting time to Divinations, but it seems that many who received imps decided to arrive on the same day!
Setting: Divinations
Summary: Hansi sent out gifts, and out came the imps! Some of the owners come to see him at Divinations to ask questions...well, let's hope for Hansi's sake that's all they want to do. While there, Kami got some information from Hansi, but she mainly got annoyed at Vega and dragged him away so they could talk.

Kami Knows Best - 01.07.07

Users: Vega Kurtsa (Vega) & Kami.no.Kurai (MS)
Characters: Vega, Asta, Kami, Yoru, Lauri
Setting: Local park
Link: Page 1, post 2 – ???

Kami.no.Kurai
Even though she may not seem it, Kami is a very patient woman. How could an impatient person survive taking care of Zac? She may hate waiting in line, but she had learned how to be patient when it came to people, especially Zac, so whatever Vega did now was probably fine. One could blame Kami’s “mother mode” on Zac as well, which she somewhat slipped into in Divinations when she gave Vega that sharp look—the look that said you better stop doing what you are doing and listen to me because I have your best interests at heart. It did not occur to her that she was treating a grown man the same way she treated Zac and the twins, but she would soon realize, probably when she went home tonight and died of embarrassment of her actions, but for now she was still leading him to the park so they could talk.

And now at the park, Kami realized she had no plan. Usually Kami liked something to base everything on; a plan kept her mind focused, kept her from feeling nervous instead of desperately babbling on and making a fool of herself. That was why she liked being around Zac; she knew how to act and say around her, even if there were others around. It gave her comfort, and right now she did not have that. She just simply kept leading him, finding the first spot she ever truly met Paven. It was a little place where most park goers did not venture, a little place off to the side mostly surrounded by the park’s woods. She had taken the twins and Yoru there when they were all dolls to play, and she still found it the safest place to let Yoru roam free. Upon arriving, she quickly let go, nervously drawing her arm back and grabbing the pet carrier. She did not need two hands to lift the carrier, but it gave herself something to do.

“We can talk here… I am pretty sure we won’t have anyone related to Bellus Pupa spying…”

Vega Kurtsa
"You really don't want these Bellus Pupa people to hear. Of course, it's understandable that you have your reasons."
Vega nodded, and looked around. It was pretty private, it looked suspicious in his opinion, but he trusted that Kami led him to a secluded area. He rested his sword from his back onto a nearby tree, so he could relax his posture a bit. He walked back to Kami, and smiled faintly.

Kami.no.Kurai
“They’re already suspicious of me, and I don’t want to give them any more reasons,” Kami mumbled her reply, watching Vega with a raised eyebrow. Yeah, let’s keep any person with a sword away from Zac and her twins… No one wants to see the consequences of that. Sighing, she set the carrier on the ground, the imp grumbling unhappily inside at his mistreatment. The complaints reminded her of Yoru, who was probably grinding his teeth angrily in her bag. Well, since she was here in this park, and she was going to be talking to Vega about it anyways…why not let Yoru out? She would have to make sure he stayed away from the imp, though.

She glanced once at Vega before removing Yoru from her bag, using one hand to keep it open and the other to hold the doll. She held him up for a moment toward Vega, giving in the introduction in the bored tone of one who has repeated the saying many times before, “This is Yoru. He’s from Bellus Pupa. You can say hi, but he probably won’t answer you.” And before she let Vega answer, she put Yoru on the ground, where he immediately sat and joined in with the imp’s grumbling.

Vega Kurtsa
Vega had seen Yoru before, but had never seen him alive. Vega was hardly phased, since he had seen imps now, he realized that Bellus Pupa could have anything in store. He waved at Yoru, smiling. He looked back up at Kami.

"Mind if I ask about him?"
Vega said, the first step of his investigation was having others around the main focus answer questions.

Kami.no.Kurai
As Kami expected, Yoru did not give Vega anything more than an eyebrow raise. He was much like his owner in that respect, who seemed to give the same reaction to many people, including Vega. After Kami was sure Yoru was not going to react to Vega with anything more, she finally began answering, “I can try to answer any of your questions, but I can’t guarantee an answer. I have not seen much with Yoru, but I have talked to other doll owners, though, so I may be able to answer with some of their experiences, too…”

Vega Kurtsa
"Ah."
Vega said in reply. He rubbed his chin, taking a close inspection at Yoru.

"Are these 'dolls' really alive? He seems sort of... stiff."
He stated, as he continued looking at Yoru.

"And... well, how did you end up getting a doll? You seem like an ordinary person to me."

Kami.no.Kurai
“The other dolls are more lifelike than him,” Kami explained, waving her hand around slightly as she spoke. “Tsurara and Paven were both active, hyper dolls… Of course, they are much more lifelike now, since now they are more like humans…” She left it off at the end, expecting to spark the next question. She did not want to do all the talking in the conversation because it made her uncomfortable, so she would just give direct answers. “I just went to the store and bought him with my friend Zac. Our dolls later came to life, and I even took it up with the people at Bellus Pupa, but I think the shopkeeper just thought I was crazy.”

Vega Kurtsa
"So wait... if they become more humanlike... how does that work?"
That question had left him confused and thinking about how it was possible. For a doll to become humanlike from a doll state.

"But aren't they made of porcelain, or something of the sort?"
He asked, while out of his endless curiosity poking Yoru.

Kami.no.Kurai
As soon as Vega came close, Yoru attempted to n** at his hand. If he missed the hand, he would have immediately jumped back toward Kami's legs, but if he caught it, he would definitely hang on until he was pried off. “Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. He bites. He bites me out of pure enjoyment, mainly on my calluses, probably because he finds them annoying, and he doesn’t listen to my demands to stop, even though I tell him they make it less painful at work. He’ll probably just bite you if you get close, or if he decides he likes you, he might lightly chew on your hand like he does Tsurara, but I doubt it.” She blinked once at the doll, mildly annoyed be the nipping doll, before answering Vega’s question. “Well, Yoru’s definitely made out of porcelain, but Tsurara isn’t any more… He…” She paused for a moment, to think about how to answer this without sounding crazy. “Zac awoke to find him the size of a human child, and his skin is softer, too, but one can tell it’s not normal human skin. Paven’s skin is even softer, and he is the size of a human teenager, but even though he is more human-like in his skin and height, he’s got some inhuman features… like a tail and whiskers.”

Vega Kurtsa
"Odd."
Vega answered, but he then closed his eyes, and looked down for a bit. He opened his eyes, and looked up once more.

"But I can actually believe it."
It was then when Yoru bit his fingers. He began screaming for a bit, then piped down to a small whimper.

"Nice going."
Asta said, laughing afterward.

Kami.no.Kurai
“Lucky for me Yoru’s still a doll because I don’t know how I would handle him,” Kami replied, obviously using the biting as an example. “He’s too much of a troublemaker.” Finally, she sat down beside Yoru, glaring at him. When he did not budge (excluding his eyes, which swiveled around to give her an equally angry glare), she grabbed him with one hand around the waist. “Don’t move.” She paused for a moment, still glaring at the doll, but instead of pulling him off, she merely bent closer to him and whispered something to the doll. Yoru quickly let go, but the anger in his eyes never left.

“You really should learn how to control him. He is too violent for my tastes,” the imp piped in, looking through the bars in the carrier. “Either that, or you need to find out what his problems are and fix them. He might calm down if you actually understand him.”

Vega Kurtsa
"Wow, that was pretty interesting."
He said, amazed at how Kami pulled Yoru off his finger, as he forgot the pain instantly. When he heard the imp, another question sparked in his mind.

"Why can't Yoru talk? I've only heard him mumble."
He asked. He couldn't help but notice how odd Yoru looked. It caught his attention how pale he was, and how his eyes were red. Yoru's a strange appearing doll, Vega thought.

"Agreed, good question."
Asta nodded, sitting oh his shoulder, adjusting his blue hair for a comfortable seat.

Kami.no.Kurai
“Eh, I thought about just pulling Yoru off like I do to Zac, but I think his biting you was enough,” Kami answered, slightly smiling to herself about the Zac comment. If one wanted to be truthful, Kami did not learn until recently that she could get Yoru off without pulling, and he had not bitten Zac since she learned that. She just enjoyed telling herself she was mean to Zac, but she never seemed very good at it.

“I do not know, for I have only known him while stuck in this carrier,” the imp snapped, glaring sideways at Kami the best he could in the little compartment. “Negative emotions, maybe? They can cause problems.”

“Imp, stay out of this,” Kami snapped back, waving a hand as she spoke. “If that was the case, he would have at least talked to Tsurara, but he doesn’t even talk to him.”

“How would I know that?” another retort, much in the same tone as the previous replies. Maybe they should actually try something new and change it up a bit, but they were too boring for that. “And I have a name. You can call me Lauri.”

Vega Kurtsa
"Umm..."
He said, trying to speak, but Kami and the imp, apparently named Lauri, were arguing.

"SHH! This gonna get entertaining!"
Asta said, smiling as she sat, leaning forward.
Vega sighed, and shook his head.

Kami.no.Kurai
“If you don’t know anything, you should just keep your opinions to yourself. Everything works better that way,” Kami snapped back, grabbing hold of the carrier. She thought about shaking it, but she quickly decided against it, realizing it would be too cruel. Instead, she just held tightly to it. “And you!” She said, waving one hand toward Vega while keeping the other one clasped to the cage. “How do you handle these imps? More importantly, how do you take orders from them like that? Nothing good comes form being that passive.” Of course, Kami was one to talk, for she would quietly accept any jobs given to her, only grumbling to herself as she completed the task. She was simply unwilling to listen to anything related to Bellus Pupa or Zac. She learned a long time ago that listening to Zac was the worst possible thing to do. She would follow orders from Bellus Pupa before following any from Zac…

Vega Kurtsa
"Huh!? Uhhh.... Umm..."
Vega grew nervous at the sudden criticism. After a few seconds, he looked down, remaining quiet. Vega knew he was a passive person, but he always hated it when people criticized his personality. He couldn't help it if he followed orders out of sheer politeness, and also because he was afraid of taking no for an answer.

"Hey, not his fault he's a worthless human."
Asta said, chuckling as she elbowed his head softly.

Kami.no.Kurai
“Unfortunately, I agree about the worthlessness of humans. You can pretty much blame us for most the problems in the world.” Kami sighed, finally letting go of the carrier, where Lauri had a fist raised in her direction. He would not attack, for Yoru was eyeing him suspiciously, and he feared the little doll could fight his way into the cage, through the bars. He had seen them as a barrier to freedom, but he also knew they were there to guard him, too.

“I still don’t think listening to imps all the time is overly smart, though,” Kami finally said, once again bring the conversation back around to the imps. Even though it was said to Vega, it was more a reminder for herself. Eyes still on the carrier, she addressed both the imps, “How do we know you’re not working with Bellus Pupa and Divinations?”

“I would never willingly let myself be trapped in any form of box. Have you not noticed my anger over your impudence?”

Vega Kurtsa
Vega remained quiet, not saying any words. He didn't feel like answering Kami, especially after he got snapped at. It didn't make him mad necessarily, but rather, it made him nervous to say or do something wrong. Asta remained quiet, smiling with her eyes closed.
"......"

Kami.no.Kurai
“Well, I can’t say I trust her smile,” Kami mumbled, once again waving a hand in Asta’s direction. It seemed she liked to wave her hands around a lot, or something. “But I guess you’re right. You didn’t really seem happy about the whole thing…” Kami felt slightly defeated, but it was mainly because she was bested by some imp. Of course, one could just as easily tell her she had that very same imp locked up, so once could say she was technically winning, but she wouldn’t think of this on her own. “I guess I can trust you. I just don’t think I can trust Yoru with you. He’s all for picking on those bigger than him, and he is especially fine picking on something his own size…” This was actually relatively true, but if that was the case, then Paven, Tsurara, and Kori would have all been attacked as dolls, and he would have been giving Asta some threatening looks, too. He had done none of those (though he was quite fine with attacking Kori, but that was entirely different), so that was not the case. Lauri ran, so Yoru had chased. “How do you plan to deal with having an imp?" she asked Vega, and then quickly adding to Asta, “And how do you handle having a human?”

Vega Kurtsa
"You're right, I need to keep her in control."
He then smiled, letting go of his small ordeal. He had to keep confidence, especially if he was to accomplish what he came here for.

"But I'm still curious as to how and why Bellus Pupa would grab a hold of these... imps... Do they even have a purpose?"
He had wondered. Hansi didn't answer much of his questions, and that only lengthened his investigation.

Kami.no.Kurai
“No idea,” Kami answered plainly. She poked Yoru once in the side, but other than leaning slightly to one side, he seemed to ignore it.

When Kami did not react to his “threatening” fists, Lauri finally gave up, plopping back onto the floor. He sat Indian-style near the front of the carrier but far enough so Yoru would not be able to reach him through the bars. “I also have no clue as to why we have been sent out, but I do know it was the strange man in the gold that caught us. I think the lunatic was the cause of all it, but whether he has a hidden reason or was merely doing it for sheer enjoyment, I do not know.”

Vega Kurtsa
"Hmm...."
He scratched his chin. The cage then made Vega realize it; he needed to show Asta who's boss. He then realized something.

"MY SUITCASE!"
He yelled, looking around.

"Where's the tree I slept at!?"

"You slept on a tree?"
Asta asked, scratching his head.

"Well... Where else am I supposed to sleep? I've never been to Gaia before."
He sighed once more, before hanging his head. That suitcase had what he "needed"

Kami.no.Kurai
“You slept on a tree?” Kami asked, repeating what the imp had just said. “You could get a place to stay.” Kami said matter-of-factly, still completely bewildered by the prior statements. She knew he wasn’t normal, but geez… “I mean, you could even find a place at my apartment complex. I think Zac and the landlord scare enough people off for there to be open rooms.” Still confused, she babbled on some more. “And why do you need that suitcase, and why did you leave in lying around?”

Vega Kurtsa
"I had no choice, I got here about midnight, and I was tired. I slept on a tree... I believe in this park somewhere."
He nodded, feeling proud of the fact he remembered. He then thought about what was in the suitcase.

"That had.... it had my lunch in it. Which was an apple, and a sandwich."

"You really are pathetic."
Asta said, sighing.

Kami might have burst out laughing if Vega didn’t confuse her so much. Instead, she just gave him a quizzical look, one eyebrow raised. “If you really need food, I could just give you money, you know,” Kami offered, picking up the carrier, which sent the imp grabbing onto the bars for support until it steadied. For some reason Kami felt the need to help people, especially those who were so strange that they reminded her of Zac, and Vega was one such person. One might even call this quite strange, seeing as Kami tried to put up a tough front, but she couldn’t stand the guilt if she didn’t offer aid to those around her.

Vega Kurtsa
"I had clothes too. I have my knighthood uniform too, which I need as well."
He added, pressing his fist against his chest.

"I must find my items before investigating! But now I know that the imps are unaware of being captured and sent to random people, that's for sure."

Kami.no.Kurai
“Yeah, that stuff might be helpful,” Kami admitted, though she was mostly talking about the normal clothes, for she really had no clue what use the knighthood uniform was. She was willing to give him money for food, but that was as far as she would go. “Now, I have to ask… Do you remember anything more than ‘you left it near the tree’, ‘cause we’re in the middle of a park, and I think that may just be too vague of a description.” Just as always, Kami scooped Yoru up without warning, and before he could yell out complaints, she shoved him into her bag. This didn’t stop him from screaming muffled ones from inside the bag, though.

Vega Kurtsa
"It was near some sidewalks, along with.... a structure of some sort."
He added, one eye open from thinking about the area, the other squinting. He had little memory where he left his items, since it was late at night, and he was sleepy.

Kami.no.Kurai
“That…doesn’t help at all,” Kami replied with one eyebrow raised, ignoring the movement inside her bag as Yoru angrily jabbed at her, still upset from being put away. “I guess…we just have to look around…?” It was more of a question than a suggestion, for Kami really wasn’t sure how to found things in the park. The only things she had ever lost were thanks to Zac, and usually Zac would magically find those, even if it did sometimes take a few weeks before they showed up again… Other than that, Kami was too busy checking and rechecking to make sure she had everything she brought with her in her hands. Maybe this is why she sometimes lost Zac and the twins in the park…

Vega Kurtsa
"I apologize. I will seek it myself, so I don't burden you."
He bowed once more, his polite personality still showing loudly. He smiled afterwards. Vega was still going to be polite, regardless of his passive personality.
Asta only leaned on his head once more.

"Fun."

"Quiet."
Vega said briefly.

Kami.no.Kurai
“Yeah, like that,” Kami mumbled as she repositioned the carrier in her hands. “Give the orders.”

“I would never listen to your orders,” the little imp in said carrier, his mumbles even less understandable than Kami’s. “I am capable of ruling myself.”

“Maybe you can rule yourself, but you’re too small to take care of yourself,” Kami replied right back, bring the cage up so she could look the imp in the eyes. Of course it was slightly difficult to look the little creature just in the eyes, for his eyes were too small for her to only focus on them. “If you can be nice, I’ll let you out.” After a moment of angry glares between the two, Kami lowered the cage so that it swung near her legs as she walked, trying to keep the edges from rubbing up against her. “Oh, and I’m coming, too,” she finally said to Vega, “It’s not easy finding things in the park, and I’m not leaving someone who may need my help.”

Vega Kurtsa
"Oh, well, thank you, miss Kami."
He bowed, and turned around, beginning his search.

"It shouldn't be too hard of a find, it's a large brown bag. It should stick out."
He added the detail, in case he missed it, and Kami saw it.

Kami.no.Kurai
“Oh, okay,” once again Kami was only mumbling replies, unsure on how to answer. She was now pass the area of familiarity, so she had no plan, and without this she was lost. She could argue with the imp fine, for she saw the imp like she saw Yoru, and she treated them the same. Well, if Yoru actually talked, it would be the same, and technically she found Lauri easier to handle compared to Yoru. Either way, it was a normal activity, and she could do it easily, much the same way she spoke to Zac and her kids. But searching for bags in the middle of the park with some crazy acquaintance… Yeah, that wasn’t normal.

Vega Kurtsa
Vega continued walking through the peaceful park, having thoughts on his mind.

"These Bellus Pupa and Divinations people.... they're not just some ordinary shops... I'm curious as to what's their purpose."

He thought quietly, as he continued walking quickly, looking to the left, then to the right, and searching every tree he saw, hoping he'd see it.

Kami.no.Kurai
Even though Vega described the bag to her, Kami still was not exactly sure what she should be looking out for. She never trusted anyone involved with Bellus Pupa, even if they were merely normal bystanders like herself, and Vega happened to be one of those people. For all she knew he was a spy sent by the dreaded shops, but that was highly doubtful, and even the overly cautious Kami realized that after seeing him with his imp. This did not abate her suspicious that he was slightly crazy, or at least strange, so she never knew what to expect. How could she ever predict Zac? She rarely could, and she had the belief that this was normal when messing with odd people. She continued to try to look out for the bag despite this, but she was ready for whatever lay in store…or at least she hoped so.

Yoru, on the other hand, could care less about what they were looking for and where they were going. He was angrier at the fact that he was back in Kami’s bag. It would by a lie to say that the bag was uncomfortable, but then again, he would not know. For some strange reason he had very little feeling when it came to analyzing the comfort level. Perhaps this was because he was a doll, but it was more likely because he just didn’t care. As long as he wasn’t in any pain, it didn’t matter to him. He was more focused on the things that annoyed him (which was just about everything), so comfort really wasn’t an issue. This didn’t keep him from grumbling inside the bag as he plotted his revenge against Kami. This plan probably consisted of the words ‘bite’ and ‘hand’. That is, if Yoru actually could put words to objects. For all we know, he just visualized them without using any vocabulary whatsoever, or at least a known one.
