Mmm. Tally found herself swimming through rich coral reefs where there were rainbow schools of fishes playing tag with each other. Seahorses floated around as they clung to new perches and Tally let out a giggle of bubbles as something tickled her side. What was that? Twisting her body she swam in a circle but couldn’t see anything in the water with her. How weird.

Then even when she was skating in front of a full crowd that feeling returned and she spiraled to the ground. Through the ground to a buffet of food and then over the tables to a jewelry sale and then through the park and past the beach again…that tickle in her side didn’t stop.

And even when she about to kiss-

“Tally. Tally. Tally!” Eyes opening the preteen let out a shrill scream of surprise as she found Kieran sitting on her bed and staring at her. “Are you kay, Tally?” Glaring at Key, she shook her head and shrugged off the remaining covers. What a dream!

“Why are you in here, Key?” She groaned and rubbed her eyes. What time was it even? Another groan escaped her lips as she read the clock - it was just one in the morning. What in the world was going on? Good thing Lissy wasn’t in either. Else she’d have to put up with a cranky sister as well.

“I need help.”

“Help? I’ll help you alright. Straight back to bed!” Tally muttered before shaking her head, “What ever it is couldn’t it wait until morning? Please?”

Kieran shook his head. “Nope.”

“Fine, what is it?”

“My necklace.”

“Your…your necklace?”

“Yeah.” He patted the bed beside of him and finally came up with his ocarina. Except the beaded necklace that Tally had made for it was missing. “It broke.” With a frown he handed the pieces over to her. Several beads were missing. Tally sighed. She’d have to get into her jewelry kit.

“Did you get into a fight with Roman again?”

“I dunno.”

“Kieran.” Tally rubbed her forehead before giving up, “Alright. I’ll fix it. Since you can’t seem to wait until morning.” Scooting past him and off the bed, Tally stretched and yawned one more time before making her way to her work desk.

“Need help?” Kieran finally asked as she fiddled with the lock to her precious supply kit. He tried to peer up at her desk but was too short so instead he clung to her bare leg.

“No.” Tally frowned and pointed to the bed, “Sit there and wait. You might as well go back to sleep.” She knew how cranky and stubborn he could be when he was sleepy.

“Mmm’kay.” Kieran took another minute before letting go and heading to the bed where he curled up and was soon fast asleep.

Unlocking her kit, Tally started to look through the beads. “Hmm.” Holding up one of the loose beads under her lamp, the preteen started to compare the color to the other shades of blue that she had. Maybe there was one - yup. Tally grinned as she found some matches and separated them from the rest of the colored beads.

Now was the fun part. Finding rough string, she began to weave it in a pattern that matched the one that was lying in three pieces on her desk. Only pausing to insert a bead or two, Tally’s fingers moved pretty fast. Then finally she finished it. “Done.” Tying the last knot, Tally admired her work before switching off the lamp.

Though as she approached her bed she realized a new problem. Key wasn’t going to wake up anytime soon. “Oh, you little sneak.” Shaking her head with an amused grin Tally placed the ocarina next to him and crawled back into her bed.

For tonight and tonight only, Kieran could sleep in her bed. As long as he behaved that was.

Tally pulled herself out of the cold water and onto the slick rock. Shaking her wings dry, the preteen took a moment to look around at the area. Like always no one was nearby since this was a place hard to reach unless you had a boat or swam to it. Cliffs dotted the shore line and Tally saw a hint of beach just beyond the crashing waves. She was standing on a rock that was surrounded by water and the only other things nearby were similar rocks that stuck out at random. But after a couple of visits, Tally had realized that if you hopped just right then the random rocks could serve as steps to the small beach.

Of course that took balance.

Frowning she raised one leg and stuck out her arms. “I do need the practice.” Her tail waved behind her as she started to sway ever so slightly. Last month if she had tried this then that swaying would have led to her making a loud splash in the waters below. But practice helped and Tally found that the more she twisted her body just right then the longer she could stand on the rock with just one foot.

Counting silently in her head, Tally stood about five minutes before slipping back off of the rock. Not feeling the chill of the morning waves, Tally laughed. “Well that was better than before!” Floating on her back she let the waves carry her further away from shore while she rested. Then she dived back underwater and made her way to the rock.

Pulling herself back up Tally yawned. After playing around here she should head back to the house and take a nap. Then work on some more pieces for her sale next week before helping Sabra fix supper. Maybe she could convince her to take them out for ice cream afterwards too. If not Tally decided that she would take Key out herself - though it was unlikely that Sabra would decline. Of course if work had been hard…

Tally shook her head. “Back to business.” Standing on the rock, the preteen braced herself before jumping towards the next one. Twisting her feet sideways she caught her body before slipping off and yelled out victoriously. “Hah!” Sobering up she made her way to the next rock and the next. Then came the challenge. A rock covered in moss like substance was the only one close enough for her to even try jumping towards. The bad thing? It was way to slick to stay on.

But nothing could stop her from at least trying. Taking deep breaths Tally braced herself for the jump. Just think of it as an axel on the ice…that should work. Closing her eyes she jumped and immediately slipped at contact with the rock. “Eee!” Turning in mid-slide Tally managed to grab the ends of the rock. Panting she dangled there before managed to pull herself up.

“I don’t think - I’m going to try this again.” She managed in between breaths. But still there was two more rocks before the shore. So she stood and braced herself again. The next rock didn’t seem to be any problem at all. Unlike the one she was standing on it was bare of moss and had a wide surface for her to land on.

Easy.

So she jumped and slipped. Too startled to make a sound Tally slipped from the rock and splashed back into the ocean - face first. Ouch. “Not fun.” Tally moaned before glaring at the rock accusingly. “You tricked me.” She muttered before rubbing her head again. Oh, well that was her sign to quit and head on out. With one last look to the rocks behind her Tally started swimming for home.

The kids:

So she did it again. Sabra has added yet another child to our family of sorts. This time a girl who is not only wrath, but abstinence as well. For some reason the thought makes me nervous. I’ve never met someone who was my complete opposite before.

I thought Aile would be a nightmare, a raging storm just like Roman is. Yet when she came she was oddly quiet, withdrawn more like a doll than an actual living being. I first saw her and just stood there watching her. How could a wrath child be so…still? The very thought made me nervous. Was she plotting something?

It wasn’t until dinner that first night that Aile began to make sense to me. She was scared. Absolutely terrified of opening herself up to only be rejected again. I immediately took to the child. Even though that night’s explosion led to a trip to the E.R. I’m still wearing bandages on my arms, tail, and around my ribs. She may not be as fast as Roman, but boy can that girl punch! Not to mention bite. I’m surprised that Sabra isn’t terribly scarred on her arm now.

Kieran of course healed just like that. I still can’t believe that he actually tried to block me from those punches. Maybe my little brother isn’t all that bad after all. Not like I would admit that out loud because the next day he was already starting trouble again! Just when you think that you can sleep in peace at our home the boy rouses the other two. I would be surprised if one of these days Roman and Aile commit mutiny on their captain of sorts. Then again they do love to fight.

But back to my new little sister. She is such a tomboy! No dresses or anything. She’ll just tear them up while wearing them! I think the child needs to wear a full body suite of armor with as much damage she inflicts and gets in return.

Though she will sometimes wear jewelry that I make for her. Miraculously that necklace hasn’t broken yet though she wears it often. Oh! Talking about that reminds me, did I mention Cera?

Yes, Moose got a child as well - except she’s not exactly a child. More a teenager. So now I have two older sisters. Which is weird. I’m used to being the second oldest and so this whole Lissy and Cera teen thing really gets me sometimes.

Not that I’m jealous of course! Right? Lissy already has so many friends and stuff that I should be used to sharing her. But as a sister? I’m afraid of coming in on one of their conversations one night only to get turned away with the when you’re older comment. ((Which I’m totally near their age anyway! So that would not be fine at all! I‘m no child.))
Anyway. I’ve taken up archery since my class with Ary. It’s pretty fun shooting all those arrows, actually reminds me of the intense accuracy I have to have for a jump on the ice. Not that I’m a natural at either. Both take so much practice, but I have been getting better!

I just hope I get better as a sister as well. There’s so many of us! But I do really love them all, diary. ((Though you better not let out these secrets)) It’s late and I’m getting sleepy. So I’m about to head off to bed, but that is basically all the new things in my family life. Aile, Cera, Kieran, Roman, Lissy, Moose, and Sabra - what a family it is!

G’night, Diary!

So Tally is a preteen now. It's so wierd, I feel like she was that hungry little toddler just yesterday. And now I've got two toddlers running about, Aile and Kieran. Who would believe it? I certaintly wasn't expecting this when I moved in with my friend for college!

But it's actually been fun. All the chaos leads to peaceful times like some never ending cycle. I just hope Tally is okay with me taking in more children from 7o7. I know that she sometimes wants me all to herself, but then there's Key and Aile. Not to mention Moose's children that live with us as well. Lissy, Cera, and Key's twin Roman. It's definitely a full house over here!

But Tally has taken up art, she's really good with jewelry especially. Not to mention that she has become an excellent figure skater and is even getting good at archery ever since a class at the labs. I love watching her growing up, though I hate it at the same time.

She still loves to devour all the food in our cabinents and is getting the hang of empathy so her patience is returning. Thankfully. I wonder how much fighting I can stand with all of these guys getting into everything?

Anyway I'm off to start cooking lunch and then to go pick up Tally from ice skating. I hope she didn't get out early then I would have to track her down at the beach! Oh boy. Heh, but that's pretty much what's going on at the moment with Tally and the rest of the family.

I hope you guys are taking care back at home!

~Love, Sabra

“Do you want me to help you?”

“No!”

Tally laughed as Aile shook her head. “You sure because you can’t swim from the beach. You actually have to be in the water, Aile.” She splashed in the shallow water and floated there while watching her little sister.

“It’ll be okay, Aile really.” Sabra nodded before slipping into the water herself. “You’ll have plenty of fun.” Rainbow wings unfurled from behind her neck as Key clung to her. Tally just shook her head, that kid would hitch a free ride in any situation. Personally she couldn’t see why they were so hesitant about the water. It felt so wonderful!

So while Key was off clinging to Sabra who was just floating around in the calm waters, Tally was trying to drag Aile into the ocean with them. Finally a vague idea came to the preteen, “I bet Roman would have jumped in with us already if he was here.” Commented Tally with a grin.

Of course it worked.

With a frown Aile finally stepped into the water. No way was Ro going to get one up on her! Nu-uh! Tally laughed at the surprise on Aile’s face as a small wave crashed near them. “Be careful, the waves may get you.” She reached out and pulled the toddler closer as another wave came by, making them bob in the water. So much for a calm, wave free day.

“Le’ go.” Aile shook free of Tally’s hold before trying to walk around on the sandy bottom. Her chin barely stuck out of the water and each time that she fell the toddler emerged in a splashing fit. “Pff!”

“It’s definitely different from that little kiddy pool you guys go in at the public swimming one. So you need to be more careful, Aile.” Tally frowned, “It’d be easier if you would trust me to help you swim.” Her antenna flickered in concern as the toddler shook her head again.

What a stubborn kid!

Tally swam right behind Aile as the toddler attempted to swim further out to sea where Sabra was splashing along with Kieran. The whole time Tally felt her guardian’s gaze watching them and knew that if it wasn’t for her natural swimming ability that Sabra would be at their side every splash, to make sure that they were okay.

“Come on Aile, won’t you let me help?” Tally asked one more time as she reached underwater and drug the toddler back to the surface.

Frowning Aile looked somewhat defeated as she was beginning to realize that swimming in the ocean was not the same as splashing around in a kiddy pool. “Fine.” Sighing she let Tally help her to float along.

“Now you can’t just run along the bottom since the waters get really deep in the ocean, Aile.” Commented Tally as she helped her to float, “Once you get the hang of floating you have to start moving your arms and legs just right. Then once you can move through the waters, you’re swimming. Though you can’t automatically just slip through like a fish. You have to practice.”

Aile frowned. Tally realized how impatient the child could sometimes be especially with learning things and had to hold her breath before watching the toddler slowly nod. “A’right.”

“Great!” Tally laughed as they began to go over the process of swimming. Maybe Aile wasn’t such a stubborn kid after all. Though their differences still made her nervous. Really really nervous.

The rest of the afternoon was spent splashing about the waters and then after a quick stop for some dinner and huge ice creams the group made their way back home. And the first thing Tally did after writing down about the day in her journal was to fall down on her bed and sleep.

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:

Letter
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:

Guardians Name:
Child's Name:
Sin:
Virtue:
Gender:
Current Attitude:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars )
Current hair style:
Current clothing preferences:
Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)

Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them?
As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.

Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.

Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.

Thank you.

You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.

(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)
