"This place is....big." It was the first time Moose had been to the labs personally, but from the stories she always assumed it was some little shack in a shady neighborhood. She coasted her motorcycle to a post to chain it up as Elisabetta slipped off the back.
Saturday, she and Sabra had received a letter about child adoption. She watched the recently grown teenager play hopscotch up the path and mentally imagined a copy of her.
"Heaven help me," she murmured. Her hot pink hair fluffed out in the humidity, framed the sky around her head. Helmets did nothing for your hair, so she didn't bother styling it.
"I hope I get a sister," Lissy mused. She really did. Tally was so fun! Another one would be awesome, maybe two if Sabra was getting one. Then she could dress them up and have girls days.

"So why are we here again?" Tally leaned against Sabra as they walked towards the looming labs. "Is it seriously cuz they're going to dump a kid on you or Moose?" Would it be a girl or even a boy? What about their heritage too? Tally shivered at the possibilities.
Sabra sighed and pulled her medium raven-black hair back up into a loose ponytail. Her silver gaze peeked at Tally from behind a scarlet bang, "What do you think? I personally have no idea, they wrote such a vague letter. And it was addressed to both me and Moose too." Now that was just weird. Why would the labs want both of them at the same time?
Tally shrugged and pondered a reply that was forgotten at the sight of Lissy and Moose. "You guys beat us!" She giggled as she followed Sabra to where Moose stood.
"Haven't you been here before?" Sabra frowned at her friend. She couldn't forget how huge and especially creepy the labs were. Not ever. "They have a garden inside too, if I remember correctly. Some of the angels hang there like Pagiel." Watching Tally go attach herself to Lissy, Sabra sighed. "What do you think they want?" She asked looking up at the looming building.

"Of course we did, gator butt. We have wheels." Elisabetta puffed up, cocked her head back and grinned, until she stumbled backwards.
Moose was the first to spot the pair and waved, tucking her helmet in the crook of her arm as she shifted from foot to foot. "Never needed to. I've got the pre-owned kid, remember?" She knew it was tactless, but if she said anything about Lissy's mother, the girl would shut down.
Turning around, she starting walking up to the entrance. "Do you have to guess?" She murmured. "I'm really hoping it's not what I think it is." Her eyes went to the pair of younger girls, and to Lissy's longer tentacle that was currently exploring Tally's appendages, like it had been since the day she'd grown. It was like a cat that didn't know it's master when they got a hair cut. It put a smile on her face.

Tally giggled at Lissy. "Looks like your wheels don't really have much balance there." Her antenna blinked as she smiled at her older 'sister'. "So have any idea about...this?" She looked towards the labs with a frown and moved back towards Lissy.
"Oh. Sorry-I just forgot." Sabra sighed softly as she peeked back at Lissy. It felt like forever ago, almost like Lissy had always been with them. "Same. I mean what will we do...if it's for that? I mean - do we even have the room?" Though they had been talking about moving for the longest time from the apartments. Maybe now they would really have a reason to.
Following Moose's gaze, Sabra couldn't help but to smile. She was glad that their girls had such a good relationship. Without it she didn't know how their 'family' of sorts would still be together. Sabra shook her head with a grin before cupping her hands around her mouth to yell, "Hey! Are you guys coming or just going to hang around outside all day?"
Tally grabbed Lissy's hand and grinned, "Yeah, yeah we're comin! Right, Lissy?"

Moose ran a hand through her short hair with a sigh. "I guess we'll just find out?" She shrugged, unsure herself. The apartment was hardly big enough as it was, let alone if this ended up being for that.
Elisabetta shook her head, little halos taking a spin. "Nope. Yes. I'm not gonna tell." She looked up and stuck her tongue out at Sabra, then grasped Tally's hand and pulled her along. "We're coming, we're coming! Don't get your panties in a wad."
Even though she hung back to follow the crowd, Moose couldn't help feeling slightly lost in the building. Even when a redhaired technician approached them, "Meeting or pickup?"
"I'm not really sure....Where's that letter?"
"Meeting or pickup?" She repeated irritably.

"I guess." Sabra frowned. Really she hated surprises. Especially surprises from this place. She just shook her head at the girls and chuckled before following Moose inside.
"No?" Tally gasped and pouted, "Fine! I can wait. Though we'll see who doesn't gets my latest piece of art now." Her bag bounced against her hip as she moved with Lissy. Going inside though brought out a foreign shyness in the spawn. Not letting go of Lissy, Tally pressed against her side and watched as their guardians talked with the technician.
"We don't really know." Sabra glared at the technician and held out the letter that she had dug from her purse. "It's pretty vague, see?"

The technician snatched the letter, scanned it contents and gave it back briskly. "One moment." She turned on her heel and disappeared.
Moose frowned. "I hope everyone who works here isn't like that." She dumped her and Lissy's helmets off in one of the lobby seats, then stripped off her jacket.
Little boot clicks rattled off as the teenager beat her foot impatiently. She hated standing still, but waiting was murder. Curiosity begged her to followed the tech to get to the bottom of this mystery. Instead, she clung to Tally with both arm and tentacle, though chibi was more apt to play belt for today.

"They better not be." Sabra glared at the empty space where the technician once stood and shook her head, "I met a nice one last time. Though maybe they're kept in the back now. Makes the place more intimidating to have the aces up front, I suppose." Sarcasm dripped from her voice as she fiddled with her ponytail again. "I hope she hurries back, better yet someone else comes to tell us what the hell is really going on."
"It won't take tooo long. Probably. Maybe." Tally commented as she realized Lissy was the one tapping her foot. The spawn even stared off after the technician as if her gaze would will the lady back quicker.

"I guess so," she murmured. She hadn't been here too long at all, and already she hated it. Why Lissy was always so excited to come back was beyond her, though now the teen seemed more anxious than anything.
She saw the woman come back, followed by another tech and in her arms she held a sleeping toddler. At least, thats what she thought until she saw the tranq needle in his arm.
Elisabetta stepped away from Tally curiously to watch as Moose took him in her arms. "Why does he have a muzzle?" Wasn't that something that dogs had when they were bad?
Moose frowned. "Ya, why does he have a muzzle?" She rolled over the sleeping angel to see his fangs. "Never mind."
The technician smiled. "We have no idea at this time if their poisinous or not, but for your safety, treat him with care."

Sabra was confused. Did she come here with Moose to watch her get a toddler that had to be not only muzzled but knocked out in order to be carried? That's not good news. Curiosity got the better of her, however, and she peered behind the two technicians. "What about me? I take it that I'm supposed to have a reason for being here as well."
Tally just blinked at the toddler. A boy? They were taking home another...she looked down and saw a pair of gleaming amber eyes and nearly jumped. "Umm uh...Sabra?"
Her guardian turned at the same time that the other technician pointed to him. "There's yours. Luckily for you though these two are twins, they're complete opposite DNAs. Saves you some furniture and limbs. Wrath and Chastity is that one so you should already understand what he is."
Oh boy. And...and did she see slits on his forehead? Double trouble indeed.
Frowning Sabra found herself picking up her own toddler, who unlike his brother was wide awake and observing everything that was going on. "So now what? She asked Moose with a small sigh. How were they gonna fit two more kids into the family?

Elisabetta looked down and jumped back with a curse. "When did he get there?" She looked down at the purple toddler, then back up to Moose, Sabra and Tally. When no one answered, she stroked her longer tentacle to calm herself down as the one Moose held began to stir.
"I have to buy a car," she murmured, a little irritably as Roman blinked his heavy lids open. Moose smiled to the little boy, coddling him so his wings wouldn't bend. "And I suppose we need a bigger apartment, or a house."

Tally tilted her head before shrugging helplessly at Lissy. She had no idea. "Creepy right?" She finally whispered after getting another good look at the quiet toddler. Something was definitely off about that one. Even though the other one had a muzzle...
"True. I should do the same too, it looks like." Sabra commented as she thought about it with a small smile. As amusing as it would be to see all the kids stacked up on Moose's motorcycle - it just wasn't going to work. Along with their apartment. Sabra frowned before giving a small smile, "Well we have browsed around town for a new place before." She gave a small shrug, "I guess it's just finally time to finally pick which place."
