Tehra sighed as she finished up her drink. There was little action here, save for the people that seemed to be entering and leaving and reentering. She felt a muttering under the surface, like something was going on, ripples that would become a wave. Tehra wasn't sure, but the urgency with which the boy had left with the cop and the girl who had entered just moments before exited with the strange girl with glasses. She drew in a breath, wishing the crowd would get excited. Tehra wanted to go pull out her outfit and blade so badly, but it was definately not the right time for that. So the girl stood up and began to walk around the room, looking for interaction.

"As much as I'd love to follow a girl who's cover I just blew into a place with no witnesses..." Danielle sighed, she might as well follow this strange girl. "Alright, I'll bite. Let me just make sure the light board is still running correctly." Without waiting for approval, Danielle shot into the booth and, true to her word, double-checked the board. She also took a moment to flag the security network as to her activities. No point not having backup on speed dial. Then she hurried back to the once bubbly girl. "Alright, where do you want to go?"

Usually, at this point, Jesin would have given up on her idle thoughts of going out for the night and curled up with a book. Some bug had caught her, though. She couldn't just stay home feeling like this. She needed to be around people. As embarrassing as it would be to show up in a public place and have no one acknowledge her, she was at a point where she was willing to take the risk.
There had to be more to life than occasionally stopping purse snatchers and going to school and reading, even for a strange dragon girl.
That need for people brought her to The PU, where people were sort of a guarantee. Music filled her ears as she came inside, making it past the bouncer without trouble. The band that would be playing prom, B.A.N.D., was apparently playing tonight. She didn't get why they were so popular, but at the same time, the music wasn't really that bad. Had a good beat.
She was tempted to just drift out onto the dance floor and move to the beat, but first she wanted to know who was there. She looked around for familiar faces from school or around town. Maybe someone to walk up to talk with. Or maybe someone would walk up and talk to her.

James Cross looked around to see if anyone was watching. That was a negative so he slowly took a deep breath and got up, walking towards the bathroom. He entered the bathroom and closed the door behind him. James knew that this boy was suspicious of him. Hell! If someone had come up to James and demanded to talk with him immediately James would be suspicious too. This was important though. Very important. James thought over how he should start this conversation. He didn't want to just suddenly start talking to the boy about it. Then he thought of exactly how to start of the conversation. He was an idiot for not thinking about it sooner. "I know this probably is all very strange to you," James started. "And I am sorry if I am freaking you out a bit. Perhaps I should explain myself. But first, my name is James Cross and you are?"

Cael figured that this would be over sooner if he played along with the cop. "Thomas Cane," he replied, "and everything has been strange since I got here. I'm not sure that there is much that could shock me anymore. Were you going to get somewhere with this?"

"That's quite something! You know, I've heard it's really just a small step from animal forms to human ones." Danielle laughed, genuinely happy to finally meet someone else her age with such a remarkable ability. "I just wonder what happens to your left over mass when you transform-" Danielle's reference to an inside joke was cut short, however, when she heard the drumbeat coming from inside the PU. It was a series of long and short beats; morse code. It was very bad news. "You need to go somewhere far away! Somewhere where you can't here them play," she shouted, running back into the Pacific Unity. She flew back up to the booth, slammed the door and secured it with a chair. She hadn't expected them to play "Riot," so she hadn't bothered reinforcing the door. Without extra protection, there was a fair chance the crowd could break in. She just needed a few minutes to- Her brother began playing a deceivingly soothing tune on his guitar. The crowd laughed, swaying to the music. At first, they swayed in different directions; clearly goofing off. Soon, however, they began to sway in harmony. Everyone's eyes glazed over as they moved in unison to the gentle rhythm of Andrew's guitar. Then Brandon cleared his throat at the mic and Danielle cringed.

Cait and Jay watched most of the concert with fake interest, but more often than not they found themselves amused by the crazy fangirls squealing after one band member or the other. The concert picked up when the band began to play an unfamiliar tune to the two of them, and they watched the crowd swaying together as if hypnotized. It was bone chilling to see the crowd behave in unison that way. Reluctantly, Cait and Jay realized they were rocking back and forth with the beat as well. Shaking themselves and going back to their drinks, Cait and Jay laughed it off. "I can't believe I was getting into this garbage. These hacks don't have any real talent. It's all synthesized anyway!" Cait shouted over the music to Jay. "Yeah, I know! This is So LAME! I can't believe the crowd is swaying like hungry zombies to this crap." She responded in kind, "Do you want another coffee?!?" "SURE! THANKS!"

As Jesin surveyed the floor, the drummer started up an interesting rhythm, then the guitarist started playing a smooth riff that started the crowd swaying. She couldn't help but sway along, relaxing into the sound of it. She'd always thought there was something powerful about music. Even crappy music. More powerful in good music than crappy music, but that didn't matter so much right at the moment. The music probably would have kept her swaying if not for the cool feeling that started to run up her arm. Curse her scaliness! She snapped out of the trance, glad she still had her jacket on and the scales weren't up to her face. She wished she'd gone with a hoodie, though. What if her face started breaking out? Pulling back from the dance foor seemed like a good idea, so she started to back away, glancing around for some shadows or something to hide in. In her glancing, she noticed Cait and Jay, and also Tehra, all of whom she sort of recognized from school. She waved a little bit, although she didn't especially expect to be recognized or greeted. It was dark, after all. The music was still pulling at her. Even as she moved away from the dance floor, her head still swayed a bit...

Cael assumed that the cop was trying to figure out the best words to use with Cael to not either scare or aggrivate him, problem was that this process in itself was infuriating Cael. He had to find a way out of this. Just then two more freshmen came running into the restroom. "Dude the song is just about to start! What the hell!?" one boy said to the other. "Dude I know, I got to pee though. I don't want to have to leave after the song starts." They ran to the urinals and commenced their business. Cael figured that this was as good a time as any to escape. He rushed out the door before it had a chance to close, or James Cross had a chance to react, and merged with the crowd trying to fight his way through it to the other side of the club. This was much more difficult than he anticipated for the entire crowd seemed to be moving as a single entity. Cael pushed and shoved anyone that was in his way out of it, only occatinoally getting a sideways glance, making sure every few feet that the cop was no where to be seen behind him. The crowd was mesmerized by the music, but Cael didn't have time to think about that now. Finally breaking through to the other side he saw a girl sitting at a table alone. Perfect cover. Cael reached into his bag and pulled out a sweat shirt and threw it on pulling the hood over his head making sure that James Cross couldn't see him do it (even if he did stand a good foot and a half over the majority of the crowd). Cael sat opposite the girl with glasses and tangled black hair trying to act as innocent as possible. "Hi," he said to the girl, catching his breath. "My name is Cael. I know you don't know me but I need a favor. Is it ok if I sit here? I need a place to hide for about ten minutes, I'm being chased. If I could just sit here with you that's all I need. We don't even have to talk if you don't want to." 'Where is Kero? I need to get out of here,' he thought scanning above the crowd for him, waiting for the girl's answer.

James Cross stood there in awe. The boy, whose name was "Thomas Cane" just booked it. He couldn't believe his luck. He was so close to getting answers. Why was this stupid kid being so stubborn? James gave himself only a moment to think and then sprinted after the boy. Just as James opened up the bathroom door, he saw the boy making his way towards the other side of the club. James put distance between them and slowly started to follow him, making sure that when this "Thomas" sent glances his way he would duck behind someone of something. The crowd was becoming insanely into the song that was being played and James could tell because it seemed like virtually everybody was swaying, almost too much, with the music. James even felt himself sometimes stop what he was doing and just rock back and forth to the sound of the music. Ever time this happened he had to shake his head and continue his search. Finally James saw the boy stop at a table with a black haired girl. The boy threw his hood over his head, probably to stop James from seeing him, but the boy was too late. James became frustriated with this wild goose chase. I mean c'mon! If he really wanted to he could arrest the kid, bring him back to the station, and juice him for information, but that would not be right. James decided to try his luck with this boy one more time and started making his way towards him when all of a sudden the sway started to pick up and James could tell because the people swaying were so powerful that they knocked him over. James fell flat over, but the weird thing is that the fall didn't hurt. It didn't even tingle. That was weird. Usually a fall like that would twist an ankle and bruise something... but it didn't even seem to hurt! James got up but was again knocked down by the surprising swaying of the people, but this time their feet were starting to move... and move rapidly. James thrust himself up with all the power he could and stood his ground. Looking at the crowd as a whole was now like looking at the Delmor ocean right before a storm. This crowd was starting to mosh and when that happens... a riot is soon to start. James had been educated enough in his studies at Gilligan's Police Academy to know the signs of an upcoming riot and he needed to put an end to it. James looked back at the boy known as "Thomas Cane" and made a quick mental note of where he was. 'I will have to come back to you later...' James thought as he started pushing his way as best he could towards the stage.

"You've been a great crowd tonight so we thought we'd reward you with something special," Brandon, who hadn't actually started singing yet, produced a large glass jar. Those not entirely under the trance managed weak cheers. "As you know, I wasn't always a part of B.A.N.D. I got my start in tiny little clubs in Capital City. I became popular thanks to a little song I wrote. I'd like you all to open your hearts, and perhaps your wallets, for 'Give Me Five Dollars!'" Danielle nearly fell into her chair with relief. Thankfully, she remembered said chair was holding the door closed and pulled it over to her. She sat down and fiddled with the board, soon hundreds of little dollar signs danced across the stage in steady patterns. Brandon smiled up at the booth as he passed the jar to the crowd. When he finally began to sing, his voice was strangely deep, prompting Danielle to turn a dial on her headphones which filled her ears with a dull buzz. All I ask for is, "Please, five dollars," Put there in my jar, Five dollars, If you would just give me five dollars, Maybe I could find something to eat.
If you don't have five, ten's good. If you don't have ten, twenty's good. If you don't have twenty, you need money, Better get to an ATM.
Gimme-gimme, Give me five dollars, Just put there in my jar, five dollars, If it won't fit in the jar, five dollars, Put here on the stage, five dollars. Brandon continued to loop the song as the jar made it's rounds. Though it was hard to see in the crowd, Danielle trusted it was already packed with cash.

Cait looked at the boy standing in front of her and blinked for a second, trying to understand what he'd said. He looked familiar, and probably attended DUHS with her. It was too noisy in the club and though Cait couldn't understand what he'd wanted, the look on his face and the sudden appearance of a hoodie said everything he had and more. "Trying to get out of a bad date, Eh?" Cait shouted, and laughed, "Of course you can sit here. My friend's coming back with drinks soon, so you should blend in just fine."

'Bad date? I guess she didn't hear me over the music. Gotta talk louder,' Cael thought. He raised his voice over the song that had just started, "Thanks! Sometimes you just can't get away from creepy people! I'm Cael! Are you a fan of B.A.N.D?!" He smiled at the girl, she was the first person Cael had met in Delmor who didn't seem to be completely insane. Not that Cael could say much, he was as much of an odd ball as any Delmoron. Especially now with magic powers. He had to figure that out at some point but for now Cael figured he'd just enjoy good company and mediocre music.

Tehra had perked up as she'd heard the crowds screams cease when that particularly soft music came on. She turned her head, strangely unaffected by the music. Tehra gave her newfound race credit for that. She stood up and was making her way through the crowd to the exit to retrieve her blade and outfit.
Damien sensed the riot as well. His eyes instantly went to Tehra, her pink hair making her obvious to him. She was walking outside. He didn't want her around here alone. It was time to make his presence known. He drew in a breath as she pushed through the crowd, even though they didn't seem so riot likely now. He was tired of waiting.
