Jubilee just grinned and pinched his arm in response, earning a sour look. At the inquiry of how their own adventure had been so far, the pair fell unusually quiet, Julibee’s jolly demeanor fading for a moment while Uriah’s stern one seemed to tense. Eventually, the red-head coughed to break the awkwardness before Jubilee gave a small grin and clapped her hands together. "It’s been… alright!" Was the response she gave, Uriah giving a curt nod in agreement. That seemed about as much as they were going to say concerning the issue. "What kind of adventures have you two had?" Jubilee chimed to change the subject, returning to her jubilant attitude once more.
MD continued along as they made their way through the forest, an eyebrow quirking as he made note of Rose’s response. The stuttering was a bit of a giveaway to what the problem was and he gave a sympathetic smile. "Not a fan of ghost-types I take it?" He inquired curiously, gaze focusing forward. He didn’t mind her moving closer, especially if his suspicions were correct. Then the whole bug fiasco occurred. MD came to a halt and jilted to see what in the world was going on, noting as Rose suddenly appeared on the other side of him clinging to his arm in a panic. Confusion was painted on his own face as he tried to make out exactly what it was that had assailed the poor girl, having only aught the flash of white as Fynx yanked it away. Eventually the facts came about and curiously, he pulled out his own pokedex to check.

As Azalea moved through the trees and followed this strange new sixth sense she was getting, Nightshade tensed and growled as he picked up on an unfamiliar new scent. Azalea stopped moving for a moment, glancing down at him curiously. Yellow eyes glinted in the distance followed by an evil cheshire grin, and before Nightshade could pick up on the meowth's location, it pounced at Azalea, and was crushed midair by Hemlock with a downward dynamic punch. Hemlock hopped off of the poor meowth, giggling unsettlingly as Azalea turned to inspect. "Huh.... You're pretty stealthy." She mused. It had managed to stalk them undetected for the most part, probably due to the darker coloration. Azalea was pretty perceptive, but to get past Nightshade's radar for so long was far more impressive. It was certainly an odd color for a meowth, and was that a little hat? Huh. Tossing a pokeball at the meowth to capture it, Azalea pocketed the pokemon for now.

Nightshade gave Hemlock a look, suggesting that he'd had things under control, but the toxicroak was oblivious to the daggers being sent his way. The toxicroak was always a bit on the slow side, mostly serving as Azalea's meatbag of a bodyguard. All brawn and instinct, no brains. "I-is it gone.....?" A shy voice asked, seemingly from nowhere. Azalea didn't see anything but a rancid smell made her move her gasmask over her face just in case. Stench didn't really bother her, but if it was poison, one could never be too careful. "If you mean the meowth, then yes." She answered, a rather nonchalant considering she still hadn't located the source of the voice. That seemed to be happening to her a lot lately. Azalea got no answer, but she spotted a fleeting glimpse of some etherial glow slipping through the trees, and began to follow. "S-stay back!" Azalea ignored the warning and continued to pursue the faintly glowing figure.

She doubted anything else in the forrest would be calling her, and now there was a telepathic being of some kind talking to her. "I-I'm not lying!! Just go away!" Azalea was gaining, and when she'd finally caught up, the undead chikorita froze, staring at Azalea in fear as she looked over her slightly rotted body. "P-please don't scream....." She whimpered, hiding behind her ripped leaf. "Why would I...?" She asked curiously, stepping closer and kneeling down. Now she knew where the rancid smell was coming from. "What...?" Azalea lifted her gasmask, seeing that there was no threat of poisoning any longer. "Your condition. I haven't seen it before. It's very interesting." She clarified, brushing aside her shriveled leaf and gesturing to the exposed ribs on her chest. "You.... You think that's interesting?" Azalea nodded, scanning the grass type with her pokedex before picking the little undead creature up into her arms. "People usually scream..." Azalea snorted. "I suppose they would. Idiots." This chikorita was a scientific marvel. How was it still alive? It was even part ghost, according to the pokedex. Azalea just had to study her. "Come with me." It was more of a demand than a request. "O-okay...." The chikorita was too stunned to really object. She did want a trainer, but all the trainers she had encountered thus far were all terrified at the sight of a rotting, undead chikorita. She hated when people screamed at the sight of her, it was loud and terrifying, especially knowing she was the one causing it. Fynx hummed a bit in curiosity as it took a while for the disguised foxes to answer. When Jubilee finally answered, it wasn't that satisfying of an answer. Instead of trying to push for a better answer, the Delphox accepted it and moved on. "Rose and I have had many interesting adventures together. It'd take much too long to describe all of them." she replied simply, but then had to go rescue rose from a bug type.
"N-no... I'm not a fan of ghosts..." Rose managed to confirm with MD before the whole sudden bug dropping on her situation happened. After finding out that it was a bug that had fallen on her, and not a ghost like she had expected, she felt embarrassed for rushing to the other side of MD and clinging to his arm in fear. "Y-yeah! i'm fine, sorry..." the red head responded to MD, moving forward towards the exit with the bug type in her arms. She had walked a bit faster at this point, eager to leave before anything that was actually a ghost could come get her.

It became apparent that those candies, despite having been left on the ground for Arceus knew how long, they wouldn't have any ill effect when they arrived to the forest, about twenty minutes after the initial consumption. Though Grayson didn't display any sort of reaction to this news, negative or positive, Aita himself was certainly relieved. With a content murmur he took to exploring the very edge of the forest as they walked, rather than sit on his trainer's shoulder as he would usually, popping his head into any hole or bush he discovered. Gourgeist didn't share the same curiosity as the kitten and kept close to Grayson, as always, marveling at the newfound strength he could feel practically coursing through his body. Not all too impressed by Morta's battle, though it was no fault of her own rather her weak and statuesque opponent, Grayson stepped over the Kakuna once it'd been defeated and urged his other pokemon to do the same, they had a schedule to keep after all. Not five steps into his newest trek, however, and Grayson was forced to stop once more, and with a furrowed brow he cast a glance down at his waist, where one of his pokeballs shook angrily. Although his first assumption was Charon throwing a fit -he might've been a bit peeved considering it'd been over an hour since he'd last been allowed out of his ball- but it wasn't long before the teen realized his mistake and quickly reached down to release Tartarus.
He was far too slow and Grayson was barely even given the chance to brush his fingers over the top of the pokeball before it was forced open, a bright light shooting out onto the ground, where it solidified into the small lizard. That light hadn't even died away, however, another took its place, a much brighter and harsher light, one that completely consumed Tartarus' form and forced Grayson to shield his eyes with an annoyed grunt. A deep, rumbling, growl reverberated from in front of the trainer, which of course didn't exactly signify anything good happening for him.

Aware of the presence in front of him Grayson dropped his forearm from his eyes slowly, eyes widening at the sight of the behemoth before him. Aita squeaked, his eyes growing as wide as saucers, but from behind Grayson he managed to hold his place. "Heh..." A ghost of a genuine smile appeared on the teen's face and he gave a soft laugh, his shock quickly overcome by a budding sense of awe. "I was wondering when you'd eventually evolve." Grayson stepped forward and placed a hand against Tartarus' face, a guttural growl erupting from the beast. "No more shoulder rides for you," he muttered to himself, unperturbed by the pokemon's size and sounds.
Grayson strolled casually around Tartarus, his finger running over the Spiriake's scaled form as he did so. Once he'd done a full 360 Grayson gave it a firm pat on the shoulder, his expression once more shifted into neutrality. "Alright, this is good. I'll have you start participating in your own battles from now on," Grayson informed Tartarus, then turned to look at the Exp. Share at its feet. "Hold onto that though, it still holds some use." As great as this event was, it wasn't worth putting his mission off any longer than a few minutes, and once Grayson had finished assessing Tartarus he returned it. Afterwards the male yawned and combed his fingers through his hair, tugging the dark tresses random in a haphazard attempt to style them. Once that was done he continued forward, snapping his fingers for Morta and Gourgeist to follow along, Aita had long since returned to resting on his shoulder.

If this spectral grass type wasn't calling her, Azalea had little idea of what else could possibly be sending her those hazy mental images. Whatever it was, it seemed to have stopped for now though. "You have a name?" Azalea asked the grass type. "Oh... I.... I don't know..." Azalea glanced at the chikorita with what little curiosity she could actually express. It was clear the chikorita was some strange ghostly form of the usual johto starter, so it was interesting that it didn't seem to have any memory of a past life. Given it's reaction to her and surprise when Azalea had insisted on wanting it to come with her, she doubted the chikorita had much of a life in this form. "Alright, I'll give you one then." She insisted, glancing ahead again; the subject was not up for debate. "Your name is now Arum. I'm Azalea." Azalea announced after giving it a bit of thought. "A-Arum....?" For a plant, the corpse chikorita seemed to know very little about them. Not that Azalea minded explaining. "Mm. After the infamous Amorphophallus Titanum, or Titan Arum. Also known as the corpse flower, since it smells like rotting flesh." Azalea explained with a smile of morbid fascination. "It suits you." She finished, glancing back at Arum's decomposing state. "Oh...." Arum didn't exactly seem happy with her name, even if she had to admit it was fitting, but not many would be very happy being named after such a large, ugly, and foul smelling flower. "What? You don't like it?" Azalea quirked a brow. "N-no that's not... I just..." Azalea stopped walking and turned to face Arum, her face expressionless, appearing rather patient as she waited for Arum to get her thoughts together.

Under Azalea's piercing but calm gaze, Arum grew incredibly nervous. She seemed skittish to Azalea as a general personality trait, which was tiring for her, someone who wanted to get straight to the point. "Look," Azalea said with exasperation, "You don't have to worry about hurting my feelings, or getting left on your own if you do something wrong, because that's not gonna happen, a'ight? So if something's botherin' ya, then just come out and say it already, or quit wasting my time and let's get moving." She said flatly. "I want to, I just don't know how to explain it..." Azalea looked impatient. "Try." She demanded simply. "I don't know how! I don't understand why you think I'm interesting..." That was better, much more direct. "You don't have to understand it, doesn't change the fact that it's true. You're interesting to me." Azalea shrugged. "I don't really know what to tell you. If you have a problem with the way you look, I can't change that. All I know is I think you're interesting, rotting flesh and all. It's neat. Certainly not like any old chikorita. Anyone who passed you up for looks is a total numbskull. Heh." She chuckled to herself at the bit of internal humor. "Well, it's not like I enjoy being this way you know, and if you're just going to name me something as a constant reminder of how ugly and gross I am, I'd rather just not have a name at all!" Arum insisted, and Azalea scratched her cheek. "That's your problem, not mine. I didn't name you after the arum because it's ugly and gross, I did it because it's a pretty awesome plant. Sure it smells gross, but that's what's so cool about it, and it attracts bugs because of the scent and traps them inside for food. It's totally sick." She gave a lopsided grin just thinking about it. "Plus, like it or not, I'm still gonna call you Arum. Sorry not sorry. I put a lot of thought into that name, and to be honest I'm too lazy to change it, so.... Yeah." She shrugged in a very 'deal with it' fashion.

Arum seemed pretty stunned by Azalea's inability to see the problem with her name. She supposed Azalea was someone who only saw what she wanted to see, so if she thought the arum was a cool interesting flower, rather than a gross and repulsive one, then there was no changing her mind. Knowing that she was being named after something Azalea clearly admired, though, was somewhat comforting. "If it makes you feel any better, I've named all of my pokemon after poisonous plants. It's just my style." Azalea explained with a shrug. "Well, 'cept Lavender. She got named after the sleep inducing properties of lavender, since her toxic gasses can make anyone pass out if it's inhaled. Heh." She got that morbid look on her face again; Arum still wasn't sure what to make of it. Though they didn't see eye to eye, one thing was clear to Arum; Azalea loved plants, particularly poisonous ones. "Does that mean the Arum is poisonous too?" Azalea nodded. "The fruit is at least." She elaborated, though she paused as she felt an incoming text from Gray.
Don't you worry about a thing, I'll visit my girl. That your new superhero motto? I like it, very Dark Knight-esque. You're the farthest thing from fat, you're more like a twig. Alright, you do that. Just don't be surprised when you turn around to find me sitting right next to you, disappointed in you. What can I say? A man in love can be inspired to do many things, if promoted. You should be happy for me.
I'm not worried, I'm just doing a courtesy of warning you. Heh, yeah it is. I know right? We should marathon that back in headquarters again sometime. It's been a while. With the text sent, Azalea glanced around, looking down at Nightshade. "Yo Nightshade, where's Hemlock?" Azalea asked, not really too concerned since the toxicroak could more than handle himself, but knowing how quickly and easily the dart frog pokemon could get into mischief and distract himself from the primary objective, it was good to check in on him every now and again. Nightshade sat back on his haunches and let loose a loud howl, waiting briefly with an ear perked for any noise from the toxicroak in reply. Eventually a loud croak responded in the distance, and they knew he was in the area and safe, at the very least. "Damn, guess that means he hasn't found it." Azalea sighed. "Found what?" Arum asked curiously. "I'm looking for a semi rare mushroom found exclusively in thick forests and damp caves. I have a bulbasaur I want to feed it to so that she can get stronger." Azalea explained, though she winced as another faint image flickered to the forefront of her mind. There it was again.... Where was that coming from?

Azalea shook her head, attempting to clear away the intrusion. She'd been diverting from her task because of these strange images, she wanted to find her mushroom and be done with it. "A rare mushroom... I think I saw a mushroom not too far from here, but I don't know if it's rare." Arum offered. "Take us to it then. Even if it ends up a bust, we'll be no worse off than we are now." Azalea reasoned, and Arum nodded, leading her and Nightshade deeper into the forest. In spite of Azalea's rejection, the images continued to bombard her vision, getting stronger and stronger until they matched her current surroundings. "Arum... Are you sure you aren't projecting anything....?" Azalea asked again through grit teeth. "No, I'm quite sure... Are you alright....?" Azalea was getting more than just images of their area now, it was a feeling of pain, fatigue, dizziness. It was strange because Azalea knew the feelings weren't her own. It was something else, it was a call for help, from something near here. The impression were stronger because they were right on top of whatever was calling, and yet they were still so weak...

All at once, the mental impressions stopped, and a small voice cried out nearby. "Fyiiirrrr....." The trio's attention snapped towards the noise and Azalea quickly moved towards the small hollow that the fluffy, toxically colored dragon was currently sprawled out in. Her wing was injured, her cry was weak, and Azalea knew that this was the creature that had been calling her since she began exploring the forest. Azalea was not one to adopt injured pokemon and care for them, but she had put so much effort into tracking this one down, it seemed like a waste to just leave it now, and she had more than a few potions to spare on it's injuries. The small dragon winced slightly as the stinging spray touched the tender wound, but otherwise didn't seem to struggle or try to fight her, which made things easier on Azalea's end. After she finished treating the strange pokemon's wounds, another strange sensation flooded Azalea's consciousness. It felt.... Warm. Azalea wasn't sure what it was really, given her own distinct lack of emotions, but she supposed the creature was trying to express some form of gratitude to her. Curious, Azalea scanned the pokemon with her dex.
"Chima, the Baby Chimera pokemon. It enjoys chasing around poisonous frogs for a snack."
Azalea gave an amused snort. That probably wouldn't go over well with Hemlock, but what was far more interesting, was that according to the dex information, this chima could ingest poison without feeling the harmful effects, which was very noteworthy to someone like Azalea. "Alright Iris, you're coming with me. You need to see a pokemon center anyways for better treatment of that wing. I ain't a nurse." Azalea insisted, readying a pokeball for the chima. "Kyuuu....." Iris churred in agreement. She certainly had no qualms with being captured and tended to.
