She didn't answer right away. Basically because she knew he was right, but mostly because saying so in this place might disrupt the entire party. It hurt her to hear it, and it was perhaps better had he not said that right then, but she was able to take care of herself. She wouldn't let it get to her.
With that all she said was "I know" in a low voice before rising from her seat and taking Valin's hand in hers. She had finally resolved to take care of the issue herself, at least for now. One of her natural abilities was generating illusions that were more real than they were artificial. Though she could only affect minds weaker or open to her influence, she was sure no one would object to a little music. With that a gentle melody began to creep into the main room until it was just loud enough to be heard by everyone without drowning out any conversation. She wanted to dance and she wasn't gonna go through the formalities anymore.
"I hope your feet are used to more than just fighting." She stood straight, placing her left hand around his right ribs and taking his left hand in her right. As the gentleman, naturally he would have to lead, but she at least gave him something to start with.

Briefly he felt a bit of annoyiance at her use of contractions. The feeling was banished as soon as it reared it head, however. He was not among the Clans aymore, and should be more than used to their way of speaking. Still, at times, it bugged him.
But he could hear and understand the emotion in her statement easily enough.
Reaching his right arm in front of her, Damion wraps his hand around her legs at the knee and spins her in place so she is facing him. When he released her legs his left hand took her right and he sat down across from her. He tugged her hand gently and gestured for her to sit in his lap. Knowing how emotional she was, and how she enjoyed friendly contact, he figured she would be most at ease if he were holding her. Especially if she was nervous about something.
Another thought hit him. If she was so nervous then perhapse he could futher ease her fears by hearing her in a tongue that was not common to these lands. If she did not know how to speak this language, then she would let him know. If she did, however, then that would be a tremendous tactical and strategic boon.
"What troubles you?"
His words came out in heavily accented, but fluent and clear, Japanese. He had learned it out of necesity during his time as a full-time mercenary.

Ichi looked behind her as Keno left. She smiled at his sisters, not wanting to say anything, but a quiet, "Hi". Ichi thought she would have a lot of fun with this many people, but she still didn't know everyone well. She saw Ren near Satomi and smiled softly at the girl. Would it hurt to talk to her? She looked back up at Satomi. "Satomi... Your daughter is so beautiful. Keno told me about her. She's just as he described her!" She smiled a real smile, happy to know that she wasn't sheepish around people she isn't with often.

Soneko pulled his hand back and let it hang at his side. He watched as Deity's eyes scanned across the room. He had alot to cover. So many people had showed up and that was making Soneko itchy. He hated large groups. When he saw Deity wave and smile at somebody past his shoulder, he figured he'd put things in a nutshell and let him go off and do his thing. He moved his right hand to the back of his head and scratched a few times, slightly embarrassed.
"Happy New Years...Hey, We wanted to apologize for knocking a big hole in your wall awhile back. We would have told you sooner, but we thought you might have died. We haven't seen you in ages. Anyway, We just wanted to say hi. Glad you're okay, Deity."
He lifted his left arm and used his hand to pat Deity's right shoulder a few times before turning ninety degrees on his heel and trailing off.

For once, and probably the only time, Tali ignores everyone but the Saiya-jin kid Unks. Stopping at the point of the bar nearest him, he replies with only one word, taking a step inbetween two stools with his left hand grazing the bartop.
"Vodka."
Obviously not interested in chitchat, he quickly grabs the glass offered to him, holding it until it has been filled. With his good eye facing mostly everyone else, he takes a quick gander at the others, seeing his wife and little girl conversing with the Earth people. He would like a little more time alone with Satomi, now questioning his decision to come to this thing in the first place.

Having been a bit surprised at the sudden action, Miyuki stared at him for only a moment as she had been spun around, blinking a few times before realizing what he was instructing her to do. Soon, she was nodding slowly, sliding off the stool and taking the needed step forward before she could get herself comfortable right on his lap.
With her tail now wrapping itself around his right arm which was closest to his back, she gazed up at him a bit nervously. She was seated sideways on his legs, her ankles linked as they dangled off the side of him. She tilted her head so that it was resting on his right shoulder, her nose buried into his neck before she breathed in deeply.
However, it was hearing his question spoken in Japanese that caused her exhale to be rather sharp. She hadn't known that he spoke the language, something that caused her great relief. As she began to nibble her lower lip, she glanced up at him faintly.
"Well, you see..."
She started off in English before she turned her head away from him, as if ashamed of what she was about to say. She had been confident earlier, but now she was nervous and felt like a small child about to be scolded. But it was too late, she had to finish.
Another deep breath before she moved her head forward, her aquamarine bangs falling in front of her eyes.
"...I'm pregnant."
One last breath.
"And it's yours."

::Unks nodded to Tali as he poured him his glass of vodka. He smiled as he caught bits and pieces of Miyuki's conversation but he really wasn't paying attation. He could tell Tali didn't want to talk so after he poured his drink he left him alone.
Unks smiled and used his mind to make two glasses of Chocolate milk. He sent one to Sabrina and the other to Ren Tali's little girl. He looked at the growing group and then seeing Red and Valin going to the dance floor::

Keno stopped dead in his tracks for a moment. He had been keeping up with most things in the bar, listening to everything and everyone as he usually did when there were so many around. Unfortunately for McKlain, Japanese was Keno's mother tongue. Hopefully not many within earshot of the couple were, but he certainly was, and he'd have heard that even if he were in the stadium. The bombshell would have made him fall head first into the ground had he not frozen in his tracks. Rather than being upset though, he was only shocked, and then happy.
Miyu would be a mother soon. Calore would be happy whenever she found out that was for sure. He smiled as he thought about all the new life coming in all around him. Sadness again. Then it passed and he continued on his mission.
However as soon as he had his mind back on track he heard a soft melody that was swimming throughout the main room. Well it looked like he wasn't needed for that either. He sighed for a moment as he let his thoughts get back into place before he decided on what to do next.

Damion blinked.
His plesent, if arrogant, grin froze as what Miyuki had said set in. The look soon melted as all the muslces in his face began relaxing. He sat straight up, leaning a bit back from her, and his eyes lost their focus.
Damion McKlain became very still and his body became tense. To Miyuki it would feel as though he were about to snap as a shudder ran though his left arm. His eyes began moving jerkily, as if he were searching for something, and his jaw muscles began twitching.
A frown creased his brow as he finally managed to focuss on Miyuki.
"How can you be sure of this?"
His right hand was resting on her legs while the one around her back clutched onto her. She could feel him giving an active effort to holding himself back and keeping his immense physical strength accidentally crushing her. His tone was incredulous and held a dangerous "this better not be a joke" edge to it.

Soneko whisped by the blue haired fox as she muttered something, but was in a language he couldn't understand. He heard her earlier say that she had needed to tell the other boy something. Not that he had intended to, of course. It was his damned hearing. He could hear things he didn't want to hear. He had gotten way too much information out of people he didn't know way too many times. But luckily, this time, people knew how to keep it under wraps.
He walked over and sat down at a stool, one away from Tali. He looked over and gave a nod to say 'hello'. He didn't expect any kind of acknowledgment, but he tried it anyway. This one, he didn't even talk to, but his strength was immense. Anybody who had a fighter's talent had Soneko's respect. Accept for those idiots who thought they knew everything.
Unfortunately, one of those morons was amongst Soneko. That Jedhi dude. He rolled his crimson eyes and shook his head slightly, annoyed by the man's claim of knowing everything about those who use the darkness as their ally.
Soneko was getting bored quickly and didn't know how much longer he would sit around and do nothing. He growled lowly. He was a very impatient person, and the lack of activities was annoying him greatly. Not to mention that he could sense the people's power, which made him itch for a fight. Oh well...

Valin was up before he knew it, but managed to follow Red without losing his footing. He started to hear the music - but somehow he just knew that it wasn't true music. An illusion. Perhaps the most real illusion he had ever felt and he knew it was coming from Red. As he took her hand into his, he began to lead their dance to the melody. Like the music, it was gentle and slow. He thought about making a witty, sharp comment - something about dancing being like fighting or how they didn't teach dancing at the Jedi Praxeum. Yet he didn't. Just didn't seem right. He stayed silent and just kept them dancing.
