Well her father is a married man and has two children. She however, is the third and youngest daughter of his born to his best friend who is a lesbian. Thus she was mostly raised by her mother and her father was the parent of convenience.
Thoughts of her father bother her because she doesn't feel as if she knows him and the desire to have an idea of the man becomes an obsession so she goes out to try to understand who and what the man really was according to the perceptions of others.
