Bolt spun the fortune wheel again, since that seemed to be his game today, and it was a good thing too, because the wheel landed on another big number, 9 specifically, and earned him just as many tickets.
Darren looked at Sable somewhat quizzically as she mentioned that carrying around medical supplies ought to be commonplace in Orre. On the surface that made Orre sound like a rough town, or dangerous one, but Sable soon explained that it was more because they didn't have many pokemon centers or healing machines, so often it was best when traveling with pokemon to carry around a medical kit. "H-heh... I'm pretty sure everyone hopes there's nothing to patch up..." He said quietly, nodding and bracing himself as Sable prepped him mentally for the potion about to come.
He took her hand gently as she offered it, and focusing on just listening to her words rather than the searing pain coming from his forehead as she continued. "That sounds like noble work you were doing out there..." Darren smiled a bit but winced again as the stinging sensation got to him for a moment, his grip on her hand tensing a bit but he easily relaxed again. It wasn't too bad, he knew there were worse pains to bear, but still.... Damn it hurt. He never once moved away though, he knew better than to try that.
Eventually though, the antiseptic stopped coming and Sable wrapped up his head with gauze on the cut, then announced she was done. Darren let out a sigh of relief and smiled, taking her hand and standing up again, chuckling as she joked about giving him a lollipop. "Heh, a candied apple sounds pretty good actually." He agreed. It'd be a nice reward after they got back to town. "Er... Thanks Sable..." Darren said with a small sheepish smile, sticking his hands in his pockets.

Bolt then decided it was time again to go attempt to beat his high score in the arcade tent. He was fairly eager to attempt the game. He felt particularly good about this try, and though while he played he made it pretty far, he still wasn't quite able to beat his high score. At least he got seven tickets out of the score he did get, which was a pretty respectable amount that Bolt couldn't really be mad about.

Happy with his score in the arcade, Bolt ran off to the throwing dart stand again, ready to try this station again, determined to get better. He only managed to pop four balloons this time, one less than last time, but that wasn't too bad. He still got four tickets, so at least that remained the same even though he'd hit one less balloon. With that the Pichu took his tickets and counted them out. He'd gotten quite a lot, they were all getting to be a bit much to carry so he got a bag and also a receipt for the large number of tickets he had earned, placing the receipt in the bag before running off to go play more games.

Popping four balloons and winning himself that much in return, Kail turned his attention to a pamphlet he'd managed to pick up. Honestly, there wasn't really a lot on these islands he was interested in. His pokemon weren't strong enough to try the battle tower-- even if the levels were all made the same, their moves just weren't strong enough-- and he wasn't one for sight seeing. Maybe it would be better to just stay here? Though, there was definitely a lot of individuals in the area... so maybe he could at least find a more secluded island...

Once again Sable's Beedrill made the attempt to fish out a golden Magikarp and once again the net broke. The bug Pokemon let the attendant place the single ticket in her basked before buzzing off to find a different stall to try. She figured she'd have to succeed sooner or later, but at the rate things were going later was probably going to be after the festival was over.
Sable was thankful that Darren didn't squirm while she was cleaning out his wound. That always made things much easier. There were a lot of bad things that Sable could think of having happen to someone, and having to hold down a thrashing patient while doing work on them ranked pretty highly on that list. He seemed to like the idea of a treat after the hike as well, which was good from her point of view."Hey, no problem. I'd have to be pretty heartless to not help someone with a wound like that,"she replied as she started picking her way along the trail again, hoping to get to a more clear spot so that the group could stop for a bit.

Unfortunately Lilligant wasn't having much more luck, getting only three tickets from the wheel of fortune. She slumped back over, handing Kail the tickets, and hoping the frown on his face wasn't for her. it didn't seem to be, considering he didn't even look up. Once again, Alex was back to doing the games after a much needed break. Like before, he headed first to the fishing game. He didn't have much luck the past few times, so he was hoping for a better result and a lot more tickets than he normally got from the game. Alex had tried to get the same Mantyke the last few times, so he really was hoping to pull it off this time. He made his way up to the heavy weight fish bowl and picked up the fishing rod. Alex really wanted to succeed at this game and so he put his best effort forward. Sadly, just like before, the net broke and Alex ended up with just a single ticket.

This time, Oaken and Rose did much better at tossing darts. Between the two of them they managed to pop seven of the ten balloons, which was just enough to earn the top prize. With six more tickets in Oaken's bag, the two grass types went off to find another game to try their luck at. Even if they were just sticking to the same five over and over again.

Once again Oaken insisted that he try working with the buttons on the game and once again Rose relented. After all, they had already earned a sizable stack of tickets, so it couldn't hurt to take a few losses. Oaken turned out to catch on fast, though, and while it wasn't as good as before, he managed to help Rose get to the point in the game where, once the character died its horrible death, the machine would spit out seven tickets. That meant seven more tickets in the bag, which was all fine and dandy.

Darren winced somewhat at the way Sable had mentioned his injury. "Wh-what...? Is it that bad??" He asked, somewhat concerned. It hurt, sure, but the way she had said that sentence made it seem like it was worse than he thought. Jin soon brought the conversation back to the idea of trainers in Orre region, finding it odd that so many trainers were inhabiting the region even though there weren't a lot of pokemon there. Darren had to agree that it seemed a bit odd, and listened curiously to Sable's explanation. They soon came upon a clearer area and as Sable found a nice chunk of rock to sit on, Darren followed suit, and decided to try drinking more of that soda Sable had given him. He was better able to maneuver the marble inside now that they were sitting and not in a rush, getting a few good gulps of the soda before capping it off again and continuing to listen to Sable's explanation.
It seemed there were multiple ways for pokemon trainers to come to Orre, Sable listed them all off on her fingers without much pause until she came to her pinkie and debated a bit with herself before explaining a much shadier business. Darren shifted somewhat uncomfortably at the mention of the "lucky" victims. "Jeez... That sounds awful..." He frowned, almost not really wanting to hear what the unlucky victims dealt with. He shuddered even at the thought.
