YOU HAVE MY BOW! Well. At least something went right this time. Holly didn't appear to damage the thing but it had stopped for a moment. It was then she realized it was about halfway closer to her. Good. If she could just get a few good shots in then she'd be fine. YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! The mannequin, though not living, may have been scrabbling for a final assault. Perhaps they weren't capable of such deep instinct but the strix seemed unable to land a blow. Thankfully he still kept in step and dodged and weaved the many strikes aimed at him. YOU HAVE MY BOW! And then, all of a sudden she was back on her game for a moment. Arrow. Notch. Pull. Release. The cord twanged as the arrow left it. Holly grinned when she noticed the arrow was firmly planted in the mannequin and it had not advanced this round at all. Awesome. SWEET VICTORY! YOU HAVE MY BOW! For the last time the ghoul notched her arrow and released it. Like the last it stuck and the mannequin didn't move. And it kept not moving. This could only mean one thing. She finally had defeated it. With a bow, a weapon she'd never used before. How cool is that. Holly was oh so tired now though and left to take a nap in their dorms. And dream about bows. SWEET VICTORY! YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! The strix had one last attack to dish out but he knew he'd have to take a hit to do it. Muka darted out for a strike and then flared one ohis wings as a distraction. The dummy struck out at the wing but in it's mistake the owl found victory as he stabbed his dagger true. The dummy shuddered and collapsed and once again he let out a SCRRREEE! of victory. Amphi watched as the horsewoman went through the various weapons and smiled, there was one that reminded her of a undersea weapon, the one that was the bow and arrow. She lifted the weapons, testing the weight of each though. She thought to do the Dagger, but she wasn't all that quick....the sword....dropped and she struggled to lift it. She didn't bother attempting any more there.
Her hand rushed over the bow and the arrows....
Lifting it, she tugged at the string and grinned.
Alright, she would do this.
She set herself up as the mannequin advance, stringing the arrow and letting it fly.
She held her breath as it struck, knocking the mannequin back from her.

Amphi rested her fingers for a bit, the Mannequin moved at a slow rate of 6 feet and her next arrow set him back.
It seemed like this mannequin wasn't getting any closer to the mermaid then she would allow it.

Her arm was tiring though, her fingers curled with a effort from stringing that she wasn't used to. There was a lot of power but even then, it meant she would miss when she tired.
Her arrow flew past the mannequin as it kept its advance towards her. A slow steady pace of 6 feet. She squinted her eyes and grinned...Just how close did it think it was going to get? Not very. She reached for another arrow.

She took one last breath, aiming her arrow straight and true. Not only did she hit right in the center of it, knocking it back to the same 54 feet but it crumpled to the ground. She gave a loud whoop and grinned.
"Yes...Yes I did it." She looked in awe at the bow and arrow, yes it reminded her of the weapons of her home but....harder to use. It was nice that she was familiar with it and not.
She wondered if the horsewoman would allow her to take the bow home?

YOU HAVE MY SWORD! Renshu fingered the blade. Double-edged, a bit lighter than what he was used to, but then his teachers had favored a weighted blade, to build up strength in the "whimpy students". He sifted the sword in his hand a few times to get a feel and then lunged out. The blow struck the mannequin before glancing off, doing only minimal damage. Renshu stood up, visibly disappointed about the first strike. But he seemed to forget that the mannequin would strike back, and was unable to block the hit it sent his way.
