YOU HAVE MY SWORD (OR DAGGER)!
Calder wasn't all too thrilled about being back on one of the higher platforms, not to mention another ride in the shaking elevator, but back on as solid ground as he was going to get, he watched as their instructor demonstrated the upsides and downsides of the three basic weapons on the weapon's rack. GOOD weapons! Ones that didn't break in your hands after a few hits as were the case with their crafted knives. He was wondering which would suit him best, but in the end, agility and speed were what he felt were one of his best attributes. He could run with the best, meaning that if there was a weapon that favored being fast, he would be siding with that one.
While a sword wasn't as impressive, he went to the rack and took a dagger, taking a moment to look at the item and try and get a feel for it. It was still very peculiar to him.
The mannequins returned, oh old foe it was becoming. They were certainly building a relationship here, and lately he had been feeling more ready to engage them.
Tail flicking, he waited for the mannequin, and while it came to him, he jumped out of the way and tried to stab, only managing to nick it's arm.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! Muka leapt in the air, attempting to downward slash at the mannequin but it's reflexes were better than his own. The dummy knocked him away easily and Ulmuka found himself hitting the ground in a head, feathers flying loosely around. YOU HAVE MY SWORD (OR DAGGER)!This was very different to running in the woods. With the dagger, he had to be close, and the mannequin did not let up, pressing upon him to attack. Dodging was limited to their circle around them, and once again the creature lashed out, throwing a fist at him and hitting his shoulder. The good thing was that once it got close to hit him, he could cut it's arm, and the blade pressed against the doll's inner elbow. YOU HAVE MY SWORD (OR DAGGER)!The punch hurt and if he could manage, he'd try his best to keep from getting hit. That was the point after all, and if he could evade here, that meant he could try dodging ACTUAL weapons. Even though he knew that was completely different to the current combat when a weapon in your opponent's hand was involved, he wasn't about to lower the importance of the current exercise. In fact, he was riled up and dead serious.
Again the creature came at him, and he dodged it, moving to the side and hitting the doll in the side before backing away. Just dodge and hit when he could. That's all he could do as of right now.HP: 45/50 Damage Dealt: 3 Opponent's HP: 7/15 Damage Blocked/Evaded: Evade Previous Posts: Post 1Post 2

YOU HAVE MY BOW! She fumbled for another arrow, and finally brought another up to the bow. This time, she was more careful, pulling the arrow back to her ear and trying to line up with the target. She wasn't really sure how to aim, though, and was surprised when the arrow went flying completely off to the side. She huffed in frustration as the mannequin kept moving forward, completely unharmed and undeterred. Maybe she should have gone with one of the closer-range weapons. YOU HAVE MY SWORD (OR DAGGER)!While the fight was making his blood race, the compulsion to kick and n** during battle was strong, but he tried to push those urges down. In his own clan, he would be fighting other stallions with just their own strength. This way of fighting wasn't practiced, but he still had the urges to lean forward and throwing a hoof out. However, he felt that biting or kicking wouldn't work well against a block of wood.
Said Blockhead jumped forward to punch him, and he dodged once again, trying to hack off a arm with his dagger but only hitting the arm. HP: 45/50 Damage Dealt: 3 Opponent's HP: 4/15 Damage Blocked/Evaded: Evade Previous Posts: Post 1Post 2Post 3

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! The strix this time tried to stay lighter on his feet. He didn't attack outright and instead waited to see how the dummy would move. The manequin also seemed to be waiting for a few moments, dancing around him and testing him, but when nothing happened it struck. Muka was not able to avoid the shot but the attack left an opening and the owl-boil was able to land several well placed stabs before he hopped away again. YOU HAVE MY SWORD (OR DAGGER)!If it was one thing to give to the animated mannequin, it was that it was persistent and didn't let up, but who could blame it when it was made of wood and had only one purpose. If you didn't do your one job right, then what good were you aside from firewood?

YOU HAVE MY BOW! The ghoul tried again, starting to at least feel a little more comfortable about how to hold the bow. She still wasn't sure how to aim it though, and tried holding it a few slightly different ways, but none of them seemed obviously right to her. So she went back to the first way. Maybe she'd just have to figure this out by guess and check. Releasing the arrow, it still went flying off to nowhere. And meanwhile the mannequin was continuing to move forward. YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! Ulmuka didn't stay back for long he launched at the mannequin again. His movements may have been amateur but he'd finally gotten the rhythm down and managed to duck the dummy's attack. His dodge opened his opponent up and the strix landed another solid blow. But no, that seemed to not be the problem, as the arrow still zipped right past the mannequin. At least she was starting to get an idea of how to aim, as it didn't seem to be quite as far off this time? YOU HAVE MY BOW! Finally she managed to make a hit! The arrow thunked into the mannequin, seeming to only do superficial damage, but it was better than she'd been managing so far. She felt a flash of confidence. Maybe this wasn't such a bad idea after all, going for the weapon she was least experienced with. YOU HAVE MY BOW! And then she drew back the bow and tried for another shot. This one went wide, possibly even wider than the previous two misses. Frustrated, Mitzi started to wonder if the previous hit had been a fluke. Maybe she should just avoid any long-distance weapons, she certainly seemed to be bad at this one. This one was also relatively superficial, and although it looked for a moment like the mannequin might stumble, there wasn't any real slowing in its movement.
