"Oh, so it's okay for you to lift me up?"
Alexander couldn't hold it for long, Henna gave him an order and the Slaver seal on his right palm forced him to obey and it wasn't like he could hold it any longer with Henna moving. Alexander immediately let go with his Levitation, but it was lucky for Henna he wasn't able to lift her too far off the ground. Alexander felt the aftermath of trying to use his powers during a hangover and his head was pounding hard enough to cause him to kneel down and hold his head, but he wasn’t in enough pain not to speak.
"I was-Uh-trying to Levitate you to bed; a chair is no place to sleep."
Alexander couldn’t talk anymore, his head was pounding seemingly harder than even his heart was thumping. It felt as if his head was splitting open and then being picked it was a knife; the pain was almost unbearable.

Jewlet watch Grant and shook her head lightly. "Apology accepted." She smiled lightly. 'This is so much fun!' A childish voice said in her head. She looked around and found a place to put the plate of food down. "It is fine. Things happen. So, Don't worry about it. Okay?" She said as her childish smile appeared on her face. She placed her hands behind her and looked around. Now, she had no idea what to do. Jewlet turned her eyes to the person the prince was looking at. She shook her head lightly with a light laugh. "That is true." She turned to the prince and Grant.

Grant was now stuck in his shy mode. He was to afraid to make any more mistakes. "Thank you Jewlet." Grant said staring at her feet. He then looked up at the dance floor. He wished he hadn't come with jewlet. not because he didn't like her or anything but he always was better at greeting people and talking and stuff when it was a more professional setting. Putting his plate down he looked into jewlet's eyes for a moment before looking back at the dance floor. "Would you like a drink Ms. Jewlet?" He asked.

Amanae watched as the colorful festivities continued, feeling like she might start hyperventilating or something equally ridiculous. That does it, she told herself, Impolite or not, you really do have to get yourself out of here. Quietly and, hopefully, discreetly, the Princess began making her way out toward the courtyard.

All eyes were on the Prince as he took the dance floor. Even if the evening would ultimately lead nowhere, it was always nice to show the eligible ladies of the court what they were missing out on. But as he danced, a very important member seemed to be making her way to the door. Cyrith was not certain why, but he was compelled to follow after the princess, if only out of curiosity, "I am sorry Lady Allina, but i must take a short break," the prince apologized, then just as suddenly left the spotlight in pursuit of the elf.

Amanae picked up the pace a little, although she couldn't have said why; there was just this vague feeling that someone was following her. She had no intention of turning back to check, of course. In all likelihood, this was just another symptom of her sudden case of nerves.
As she stepped out into the courtyard, she breathed a sigh of relief; while it was by no means empty, it was much, much less crowded than the ballroom, and the direct moonlight gave both her energy and her strength of mind a little boost.

Silently, Cyrith followed the young Princess through the halls of his hoe until at last coming across the courtyard. At last she had stopped moving as she stared up at the moon. She seemed far more relaxed here in the near empty courtyard then she ever did in the ballroom or even in his company as an escort. She craved freedom just like him, and for only a moment, a genuine smile appeared on the Prince's face.
Slowly the Prince walked up and took his place besides her, "Peaceful isn't it?"

Amanae's muscles automatically relaxed into combat readiness at the sound of that particular voice. What the hell could he want? After a second or two, she turned around, careful not to look the Prince in the eyes. "Yes, it is," she said flatly. She didn't care about being polite at the moment. "Can I help you?"

"No, not particularly, but I believe I can help you," The Prince smiled at the girl who seemed to avoid his gaze. "Neither one of us wants you here, if you make me a promise that you will choose one of my brothers, I can arrange for you to escape anytime you please without being detected, and therefore keeping your own cover of obedience."

Henna fell to the cold hard stone floor with a ‘thump’ “Ugh.” She moaned and took a moment to sort out all her thoughts. Once she regained her minds she sat up and looked at the boy, he looked in pain. “I’m sorry Alex.” She cooed and moved over to kneel beside him. She hugged him to her chest and rubbed his back. “Do you want some tea? It will help with the hurt, I promise.” She felt bad for letting the boy drink so much, she could have stepped in but she was to busy being selfish and working with the prince to do so. She kissed the top of his head softly and laid the side of her face against his hair. “It’s ok.” She cooed. Once again proving how much she wanted a child and a real family of her own.

Amanae raised and smiled, but there was nothing joyful about the expression. "I'm afraid my promise is meaningless, Your Highness; when push comes to shove, I have no say in who I will marry."

Jewlet looked at the wall. "Your welcome." The she looked out at the dance floor. She didn't quiet like standing here like this; she felt like a wall flower. She was getting lost in her past now: learning dance steps by standing on her dads feet and learn manners from her sweet mother. These thoughts made a smile come a cross her face that was light and sweet. Then she snapped back to reality when Grant spoke. "No thank you." She said with a calm voice. She looked up and started to hum a soft tune.

Amanae didn't take it. "Then I gladly give you my word, Your Highness," she said, her voice cold, "However, I will not be requiring your assistance. Goodnight." She didn't wait for his response before turning and walking back into the ballroom. She would have to make another attempt at an exit later on in the evening.

Alexander was a bit creeped out by the way Henna was treating him; as if she was his mother or something, it wasn't like Alexander disliked being treated so well, but he was after all in his fifties, maybe even old enough to be her father if she was born an Impure. Some born of a human parent and Tou parent sometimes could end up more human than Tou, but that was too far off what was happening now. Since no one other then Henna was here, Alexander didn't feel too embarrassed, but he certainly didn't want Grant or anyone else to see any of this. Henna alone seemed to calm his throbbing head, but Alexander’s head still ached with a migraine. Alexander closed his eyes, feeling the warmth of Henna's face on his head.
"Thank you...I've been real childish lately, have I? I shouldn't have drank the whole bottle...I was being stupid."
Alexander remembered an old saying of his father’s: 'A real man always admits he has a problem; denial only strengthens it.' Alexander remembered those words and Alexander knew he had a problem; he was acting like child; he always used his age as a tool to make others respect him, but Alexander could never respect himself based on his actions. For Henna's sake, he would retain a bit of his child behavior, but at least try to match his age better. Alexander didn't want to discourage Henna; she seemed to be good at being a mother.
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean for any of this, I only wanted to help...Except for the wine, that was for me..."
